Crybrows saying "it's scary," and not inviting Garrison and Gabriel for the holidays really bothered me.  I wonder if she has regrets about that now. The toxic couple deserve to feel guilty, IMO.

Thank you. You make a great point about camera phones. We probably would have seen more evidence of drinking or gambling than Kody and Robyn out to dinner or shopping in Vegas. 

He doesn't look like he regularly drinks to excess, either. By your 50s, if you consistently abuse alcohol, it tends to show. Kody can look silly, with his corkscrew curls, but he does look pretty healthy. 

I do wonder if he's not on testosterone supplements though, and if that accounts for some of his personality change.

I kept forgetting to post this and it just popped back into my head.

Kody said that Robyn's dad surveyed CP.  I am thinking this is why Robyn's name is on the lots that it is and why she is on almost all of them.  I am sure he told them which was worth more in the long run.  It seems dishonest that the OG's weren't involved in that.

If he relocates (he has graduated from NAU)

The Brown kiddo distribution looks something like:

Logan: Nevada
Hunter: Nevada
Madison: North Carolina
Savanah: North Carolina
Paedon: North Carolina
Mykelti: North Carolina
Aspyn: Utah
Ysabel: Utah
Truly: Utah
Gwen: Arizona
Leo: Colorado
Gabe: Illinois?

Robyn's kids: All Arizona

I imagine that since Gwen is married and her wife's family is in Arizona, that she is there for the long haul.

It is interesting that everyone else has left quickly. The likelihood that Kody will be able to mend relationships might get lower as they all move.

I guess Flagstaff was never really home for anyone but Robyn, Kody and their kids.

Flagstaff was Kody and Robyn's dream. No one wanted to be there in the first place. Their joint attempt to relocate and put down roots was doomed from day 1. The few years they were there, the family had to deal with Kody abandoning 3 of his 4 wives and most of his kids. Like the rest of the world they had to deal with Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdowns, Ysabel's major surgery and eventually Garrison's death. There's nothing but sorrow connected to that place for them.

Loved your whole post @LilyD, but the last sentence was awesome. When moving to NC, Janelle mentioned that she loved Flag, and stated she was leaving three kids there (including Garrison) as this was before the tragedy. Wonder how she feels about Flagstaff now. Am guessing she's very glad to be starting over in NC.

I don't know but even I'm wondering about that and I'm usually saying that this show will go on forever until there's not one more drop to squeeze from this family. This has been an especially long season and they seem to be catching up to the present.

In October, 2024 Christine, Janelle, David, Gwen and Beatriz went on a stargazing trip. I don’t know if Truely was there also. Christine posted that they were filming in Sedona. If they are going to become more current it could be on this season.  This would be more “current” than they have ever been. So, my guess is there will be a season 20. Not factual just a guess.

Regarding Garrison's passing...I would've been upset, as someone who has watched this show from Day One, if they had glossed over their family tragedy.  We aren't owed anything from the Browns but at the same time, they're the ones who decided to air their family's business for the last decade.  But I am also pre-emptively nervous wondering if we will be treated to watching Kody and Robyn talk about what happened.  Kody is his father and no matter what I think of him as a person, he was also dealt an unfathomable blow.  But Kody and Robyn are so completely performative and that is the last thing I want to see on this show - Kody and Robyn on the couch trying to re-write history in any way, shape or form.  We all heard Kody say what he said about Garrison and Gabe.  Part of me just wants a small but heart-felt tribute to Garrison and leave it at that.  What I definitely do not want are over-emotional tributes from the people who knew him the least.  

In other words - Robyn, please sit this one out.  And Kody - be careful.

She wouldn’t dare.

Robyn taking a backseat would likely be the best and most appropriate thing to do, but she probably won’t allow it. She’ll pretend and act as if she was there from day one and deserves equal consideration in all matters.  And that her kids, who probably won’t be that impacted, are grieving the loss just as much as the others.

What’s ironic is that I can totally see Christine and Meri, who actually were there with Garrison from the beginning, respectfully stepping back and letting the focus be on Janelle, Kody, and the most affected of the kids. Not Robyn. And Kody probably, I hope this isn’t true for all of their sakes, will go along with it.

They don't need to act like he never existed.  But how about a message at the beginning of the season saying that Garrison's death has deeply affected the family and will not be discussed on the air to allow the family privacy and time to grieve?  Then add a message about how to reach a suicide hotline.

You cannot tell me that filming this is not capitalizing on the tragedy.  People will tune in just to see how it is handled, a big boon to their advertisers.  Money is the bottom line, always has been. Disgusting.

This is exactly what we'd better not see from her.  Despite all of her proclamations to the contrary, she was NOT there from Day One.

And it should have been left at that. Anything further dishonors Garrison and ignores his pain.  It becomes "all about them".

I'll reserve my opinion on how they handle Garrison's passing until I see how it's actually handled.  But I will say that I hope it was up to Janelle, and Janelle ONLY.  She and his siblings knew him best and can decide for themselves what honors and dishonors Garrison better than strangers. This also presumes that TLC will defer to Janelle's beliefs, which...who knows. 

Also, we can say what we want about Janelle and her choices on how to make money, because...MLM's, but I absolutely believe that there is no way in hell she is angling to make money off this tragedy.  The pay is probably the same for the season regardless. I just do not see her as that type of person, whatsoever.  Even if it's not what other people would choose for themselves. I am giving Janelle the biggest benefit of the doubt on this one.

Did anyone see Paedon's - um, "problematic" - birthday wish for the podcaster Amanda from "We Love to Hate Everything?"

Amanda's co-host bought her a $10 Cameo from Paedon for her birthday, as a joke.  I saw the clip on Youtube.  The person who bought the Cameo asked Paedon to just tell some jokes.  Paedon rambles on and on, in a very fast tempo, about how the jokes he wanted to tell would get him in trouble for being racist and misogynistic.  If this is Paedon, I can understand why some of his siblings aren't interested in a relationship with him.

And listening to him babble on and on, he sounded just like Kody.
