Are they ever going to actually make a Senior Bachelor season, or just talk about it endlessly? They’ve been asking for “contestants “ for many seasons now. Or are older people just too smart to go on this show.

I'm assuming half the ones who responded when they first talked about it are dead now.

What a great idea for a made-for-TV movie.  One by one they get bumped off.  Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" applied to the reality show circuit.

We should all start writing it right now!🤣
"Bumped off on the Bachelor"! The only problem will be deciding who the villain will be when there are so many to choose from. Maybe there will be multiple murderers and the trick will be to figure out which one is the worst - the most psychotically competitive bad biatch in the mansion. Too bad Brianna went home already.
It looks like Zach just made it possible to make this a new way to watch this show - at least for this season. I can't believe he fell for Kylee and Charity's sabotage and sent someone home on their word alone.

We need to contact the Hallmark Mystery Channel. Or Lifetime.  A sure hit. Let's start writing! 😁

I wonder if Zack will eliminate everyone in private conversations. Is he the secret assassin?

Maybe it is like Survivor, the season where eliminated contestants went to Ghost Island and had to battle their way back into the competition.   We’ll find out later the women Zach walked out are all being held in a secret location, training for gladiator combat.

Every week at least one woman acts like she’s going to have to live a loveless life forever, just because she lost her 1 in 30 chance to be engaged to the Bachelor for 3 to 6 months. A year if she is lucky…or unlucky…not sure which.

I think Zach knows what he's doing.  He's just using these women to cull the herd.

But yet he's leaving others around who he doesn't seem to be interested in at all and those women are getting upset realizing they are just background cast members.

At first I thought Zach was doing a great job getting rid of the ladies causing problems especially after having watched Clayton keep Shanae week after week. But this episode he looked naïve falling for sabotage yet again.

Here we go!

The room was dim, lit with candlelight and the moon's glow shining through the windows. The women's dresses shimmered as the ladies waited, breathlessly anticipating Zack's entrance.

Suddenly they heard it! The noise that haunted them at the mansion, on their dates and now in the Bahamas.

(Drat that Kylee for keeping Mercedes from the rose ceremony by her drama.)

It rose from the horizon, humming ominously like a swarm of killer bees on a mission. As the noise grew louder the women moved to the windows as if pulled by an invisible magnet.

There it was! The stalker plane! Lower and lower it descended until it drew level with the penthouse suite.

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" Cackling laughter and long tangled hair streamed past.

"The curse is upon me!" wailed Zack, crumpling on the stairs.

To be continued.

As long as we still have Kaitlyn Bristow, it'll feel like Davia is still with us.

Yes! She's the one that I said the first week reminded me of Kaitlyn - like she used the same plastic surgeon.

I can’t believe he kept Kylee! Even worse, I can’t believe he reassured Davia—and kissed her—just to send her home! Why didn’t he do what he did with one or two other girls last week? Well, I’m sorry but my connections have grown stronger with others. Let me walk you out.

Brooklyn with the B handshake. Please send her home Zach! Is she the only one left from ATFR? I need to check out melonie’s awesome chart.

Yes, she is the only one left. Christine, Brianna, Cat, and the Morning Baylen are all gone. Reality Steve said to remember those 5 girls during the season for some special reason although he did not say why! I wonder what that was all about??? Most of them didn't make it past the mansion days.🤣

He was definitely not into Anastasia in the first place, but that whole thing made no sense. Her job is marketing content. It sounds like other girls were asking her questions about how it all works and she was answering them… so is she just not supposed to show her expertise in this area?? I would have been like hey asshole, I was talking about the ins and outs of my JOB!!

How women think they will win at ‘The Bachelor’ game:

I’m a child of divorce!’ dabs a tear.

My dog died three months before I came here!’ chokes back a sob.

‘I have the heartbreak of psoriasis!’ whines while scratching.

My little brother died!’ cries prettily.

‘My last three boyfriends died!’  sobs into her wine flute.

‘My parents are dead!’ chokes back a sob.

I died three months before I came here…wait…um....’ looks confused.

While the actual Bachelor sighs and puts on a caring face and makes all the right noises right before he goes in for a make out session to make it stop. Please make it stop.

I used to tell my kids that if they want something and whine to get it they automatically don’t get it. You whine you lose. They need to have a rule like that on this show. Anyone who breaks out the sob story for sympathy points automatically gets cut in the next rose ceremony.

I kinda like Zach but he is just as quick if not quicker to believe tattle-telling as any bachelor that came before him.  Is it the show or are men just that easy to manipulate?

When Zach was escorting Anastasia down the stairs and out the door the look on the other women's faces reminded me of something Samuel Johnson said. “Depend upon it, sir, when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully.” It was such an 'oh shit' moment in that room.

Maybe that is what happened to the ATFR ladies and that's the reason why Reality Steve said to keep an eye on them. They've been off on an island ripping each other apart and it's all being filmed for an epilogue to be aired as the "Final Final Rose After the Bachelorettes Come to Blows".

Yes, it sounded like the "top 14 women gain 50k followers" comment was based on quantitative research she had done for her job. Not sure whether she was asked or she volunteered that information, but it sounded like a professional factoid she wanted to share vs. proclaiming her own goal to gain followers.

It was a moot point though, because, as Anastasia herself said earlier in the episode, Zack already had his favorites and she wasn't one of them. She likely wouldn't have made it past this episode either way. I'm just surprised that he didn't eliminate Kylee as well - everything about her is fake.

But seriously, she seems like a nice person who’s more than just her boobs.

Definitely.  I'm as pro-boob as anyone, but Ariel has shown hints of a sharp brain and a dry sense of humor.  I think she's saying the right things now, but ultimately I think Zach would bore her.  If his conversation with Katherine on their one-on-one is normal for him, Ariel's going to have to be patient.

Kylee, nooooooooo! Zach is not the guy who wants to hear about the drama unless you’re planning on sacrificing yourself on the way out, like Brianna with Christina. But I guess bring here for internet clout is the biggest sin. “Here for the wrong intentions” ad libbing the lines. Everyone knows it’s Here For the Wrong Reasons TM.

Kylee is one of the least articulate contestants I have ever seen on this show and that is saying something.  She is constantly talking pompous word salad--i.e. "speak on"--and it really hurt my ears.

But there are so many roses to give out at the rose ceremony.  I'm sure he'd like it pared down to giving out two or three roses by now, but it's out of his hands.

If I went on this show, I would be genuinely concerned that I don't have a sob story. Sure, everyone's had ups and down's in life.. but it seems as if to go on a one-on-one date you need to pull out a crazy death, a negligent parent, or an abusive former relationship. I know it's production that really wants these stories and not the lead, but seriously.. if you don't have a tragedy to talk about do you even get a date?

So this one time I was picked last for recess because I had a sprained ankle and nobody understood how that emotionally devastated me and I took that pain with me into the second grade where I finally processed it by winning Duck, Duck, Goose.

Still liking Zach a lot, after week 4! This is basically unheard of - by now, even the leads I initially liked have typically flamed out. He is actually making me a "right reasons" viewer this season because he doesn't put up with the drama and BS and just sends them home quickly when it comes up. His zero tolerance policy has turned this into a fun season because the girls are actually getting along and having fun (for the most part) since they know he won't be impressed by the histrionics. As a result, I like more of the women than I've liked in many many seasons. Pretty much all of the ones left seem like nice people and are all very pretty (Kylee is the only one I find a bit annoying). Aly's "dammit she got fireworks" was my favorite line of the season so far, just perfect.

Yes, Boswaks!! You just have to make something up, Jax. Wasn’t Zach’s sob story that he was a chubby kid? Certainly you have some awkward moment from middle school? That’s all you need. Mine would be when my entire 8th grade birthday party was acting quiet and awkward, and then suddenly they all stood up and walked to one attendee’s house for a sleepover party because we had the same birthday. To this day, she still wishes me a happy “birthday buddy” on Facebook—but I’m not still bitter about it…um… Anywhoo… Hell, even if you had a perfect childhood, that counts too: My parents have an amazing marriage, and I’m afraid I’ll never find my perfect match and live up to expectations. To this day, my favorite sob story was Cathryn, Sean Lowe’s wife, who recounted absolutely deadpan and devoid of any emotion whatsoever: A tree fell on my friend. Now, I think the child actually died, which is devastatingly tragic! But Cathryn’s delivery was so discordant that it made it absurdly funny. You can tell that the producers make them reveal the worst thing they ever experienced in their life in order to be vulnerable to prove their emotional intimacy, and it seemed like poor Cathryn was still in shock and never really processed it. But her childhood tragedy “won” and look at them now, happily married with children, and the Bachelor they trot out as a success story. So it’s a proven formula, I guess.

The whole kylee Anastasia deal had to be producer driven. It felt like she was told to interrupt Z and A because she was one of the few left who hadn’t had alone time with him. A was probably told to make a mountain of the don’t want to fight comment. And then K was probably told she’d be guaranteed a rose if she ratted on A. But since Z just dismisses drama esp over a misconstrued comment like he did with Brianna the 1st time she brought up Christina about her rose dress, Kylee was encouraged to back it up with the bigger issue of wrong reasons. Who knows if it was true or just twisted to fit the narrative but he wasn’t going to keep either of them anyway when he’s clearly got at least 3 front runners in Kaity, Kat and Ariel, but I think that’s the reason K is still there. He probably would have sent Brooklyn home too if it wasn’t for her story coz he just didn’t look like he was into her. I expect both Kylee and Brooklyn to be gone soon.

I know that this show loves its dramatics, but every single women who gets sent home sobbing about how she gave up so much to be here and how she will never find love just makes me laugh. You took a month off of work to date the same guy you've never met alongside a dozen other woman, you'll be fine.

The sob story's are coming out early! Those tend to be high risk high reward, they almost always guarantee a rose for the date (who wouldn't give a rose to a women still crying over her broken home?) but if you lean too hard into it in the long term you become the inspirational woobie, not the future life partner. If you start with the sob story you had better follow that up with some real flair and start working on that connection, or else you risk being pigeon holed as "low self esteem girl" or "tragic backstory lass" instead of showing who you are as a person. I really hope that there aren't people who are really judgmental of anyone who had a rough childhood, so many people on this show seem to be really going hard on "my family was sad so no one will love me", I would think that any decent person would be understanding of someone having to grow up in rough situation, that's hardly their fault, but I can imagine that someone might feel insecure about it. So much of this show is about family and love and people are always talking about how their parents have been together for 40 blissful years, that could probably make someone who didn't grow up seeing love like that feel insecure.

I'm starting to suspect that Zach already has at least a top five in mind and is looking for reasons to politely cull the herd with these one on ones. Every time he hears about any kind of drama he is quick to cut anyone involved, like drama is a zombie infectee and he needs to cut the injected limb off to save the whole cast from infection. It feels like he might be looking for reasons to cut women besides "just not that into you" or "not ready to be a step dad" like last week and now with Anastacia. He just didn't seem to be that into her and her having a Wrong Reasons accusation was just an excuse. That being said, I still like Zach as Bachelor so far. He seems like a nice guy who really is looking to find someone he really wants to stay with and he seems quite a bit smarter and more savy than our last few Bachelors.

The drama in this season is weirdly subdued, there is clearly drama and power plays between the women but everything is way more subtle and than it usually is. No obvious hot mess throwing trophies into pools or women trying to drag Zach off for a lap dance in the middle of a group date (not that I think Zach would be into that) everyone is being quite polite and friendly, but you can see how there is some low key drama happening that's hard to pick up on. Not sure if its just this group, if its Zach, or if the producers are trying to tone down their obvious manipulations or weeding out the "Paradise Picks" quickly, but the season has a different vibe, which I like.
