  1. Warren, not Corey. I think the producers are keeping Adrian and Brayden around to create drama. I'm guessing the lack of participation on this site (versus other seasons) is because this season isn't appealing to most. Charity is beautiful, but she's too normal for reality TV. 😁 It's been pretty boring so far, I think. And I hate the contests where the men have to wear embarrassing outfits. Seems like reverse sexism to me. I didn't see Spencer at all until the rose ceremony, even though he was featured a lot in the first episode. Anyway, not sure I'll stick with this season-- I particularly miss the snark that I usually find about the show on this site. Thanks for keeping up the commentary Lamb 18!
  2. I enjoyed this series in the fall, but the break was too long. Also, this episode finished the character arc of the "Concerned Citizen" and should have been shown in the fall before they took the break. I had forgotten much of what led up to this situation. I like this show and I think generally the scripts are intelligent and the characters well-drawn. They don't usually fall into typical tropes. In other TV shows, for instance, the editor would be some sort of antagonist blocking her ideas. But he's not -- he's thoughtful and expresses reasonable concerns at time, but the character is well-modulated. That said, I worry the network is trying to tank it. That was a stupid decision to have such a long break in a new series that's still developing-- and not to have this episode end the fall season. Oh well... I hope they keep it around and give it time to find its footing.
  3. We need to contact the Hallmark Mystery Channel. Or Lifetime. A sure hit. Let's start writing! 😁
  4. What a great idea for a made-for-TV movie. One by one they get bumped off. Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" applied to the reality show circuit.
  5. I'm pretty sure there's no crying in football. 😁
  6. OMG- a date even I would enjoy-- the Natural History Museum. So much better than the usual dates they offer.
  7. I think Katherine is different from Kaity (that's how she spelled it...). There were some women who met him before the show on some other show. Maybe that's why they are "best friends." You are right. I suspect the "bad" label is a cool way of saying "nuts." I can't imagine anyone spending any length of time with those "bad" ladies unless they're codependent.
  8. I wish they would post their names more often, particularly in these early episodes. I don't know who half these women are...
  9. Jess seems like an introvert- she's shy and conversation was a little awkward. I like her, but I think she will have a tough time. I'm assuming Christina M is there because of her famous family. She seems like a drama queen. And speaking of that, Madison. Whoa. She needs to chill.
  10. Dr. Blake, played by actress Sarah Rafferty. She dated Crockett in the series.
  11. Actually, that's a real thing. The hospital near me, which is connected to a medical school, has limited the number of CAT scans due to a shortage of contrast fluid. I was told I would have to wait for a scan since my situation wasn't an emergency.
  12. This whole show has been a study in self-delusion and justifications for inappropriate behavior. Professing to "love" someone one day and then switching to loving someone else the next. He's wonderful/he's evil-- one minute to the next. The problem of course is the superficiality, particularly this season. No time to get to know anyone really. The whole thing dragged on all season, and yet it seemed so rushed. (Like the line from the Jimmy Webb song, All I Know: "The endings always come too fast, but they pass too slow.") The men are simply placeholders for a "fiancé"-- might as well be the plastic guy on top of the cake. I just want a fiancé by the end of show, dammit. I don't care who it is. But he better "love" me. Are we all 14 years old? Sheesh.
  13. I'm really tired of the phrase "I've been through a lot" to describe their experiences on the show. Like what? A free resort stay with numerous guys competing for your attention? A wardrobe, presumably good food, free travel to Europe and the islands, etc. So they had to choose guys-- let some go, have others leave of their free will. That's what they signed up for. Gratitude, ladies, gratitude.
  14. I purposely didn't read any spoiler articles about the ending, so I wondered if I had somehow missed something on last week's show. Glad to know others were surprised by Jesse's opening.
  15. In a season of lackluster candidates, I think I ended up having the most respect for Jason. I get it that he's somewhat bland relative to the others, but I think he's an introvert and just genuinely not comfortable with the whole setup, including public displays of emotion. That begs the question of why he signed on. Who knows, maybe money, maybe daring himself to get out of his comfort zone, whatever. As an introvert myself, I would be equally dull on a show like this. (I'd be the one in the living room reading a book. 🙂) I kind of understood him. And he was honest about his feelings before the FS (which he didn't have to be- he could have played along). So all-in-all, he's probably OK dating material in IRL and off this show. Who knows- I could be totally wrong- it's hard to read these people, but that's my take.
