Natasha and Dave deal with the fallout from the Around the World dinner; the crew pulls together an over-the-top Olympic obstacle course for the guests; a special guest makes an appearance; Kyle transgress with a charter guest.

Bravo Airdate: 09/05/2022

This season the episodes will be airing a week earlier on Peacock Premium.  You can comment on the episode once it is live there.  Anyone waiting for the Bravo airing, be aware there will be early comments on the episode - so don't enter if you don't want to be spoiled!

More of the usual. Kyle is running around like a smitten schoolgirl, Natasha is pulling more of her Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde routine with Dave and Jason is still planted firmly in Malcontent Land.

Kyle should have been told by Sandy one on one too.  My like for him is draining and the PJ  party that he and Natasha had fun in was wrong.  Between her texts and this she is horrible.  From the previews I really can't wait too.  Natalya had every right to be mad.  They goofed around with the guests and didn't clean.  Add to that Natasha's dumb idea for that wine tasting.

Dave and Natasha are a perfect match.  The are both the same.  They thrive on this whole stay away from me but let me give you a hug.  We will be professional only to I like you and want to be friends.  Blah, blah, blah.

I can see both sides with Jason.  There is such a bond with Mzi and Storm and Courtney.  That would be hard to break into.  Still he needs to be on time and listen to his Bosun.

Like attempts to hit on people that fail one after the other, these comments are in the order of the episode broadcast…

So this was supposed to be some weird, slumber party theme?  Pretty lazy to just show up in your underwear and hang with the guests.  It was made somewhat less excruciatingly boring if you looked at is as if you were viewing a Jane Goodall doco – but not much.

Looking at how many clothes Natalya shoved into the laundry, I’m surprised any of them toward the centre of the load got wet or dry.

I’m not sure which I’m more tired of – Kyle’s endless flirting or Natasha’s endless texting.

What will happen next time?  Will Natasha and Dave continue their whine-pairing?  Will Mzi protest too much that he “just wants to be good friends” with Courtney?  Will the wayward pidgeon take over for Jason as the new deck hand?  Stay tuned… if you can stay awake.

I’ve been wanting to comment on how sickening it is to see the clips of Tash crying on the phone and apologizing to her ex for cheating when it has been established that he has cheated on her multiple times…. It just completely disgusts me to no

end that Tash has taken the role as villain when he’s an aunt shit boyfriend to begin with. I’m not saying that two wrongs make a right but the sobbing and begging for forgiveness from someone who has cheated on you completely sends my brain into a whirlwind of WTFdom.. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

I skipped last week's based on the comments here, and looks like this one is skippable as well. What an unpleasant bunch of young people.

Come sit at my table. After watching this episode, I decided that there's no interior worker that I would like to know. They're all terrible. At least the deck crew seems to be able to work with a minimum of drama. And Kyle, even though the guests partied with the yachties on shore, I'm pretty sure you were just a boat flirtation. Wake up.

Good grief.  What a boring season.

The chef crying and begging. Tash just stupid with him and her ex. She is constantly texting.

Jason boring. Not a team member, can't figure out why.

Kyle ridiculous. In pain and then true lust hits. Drags Tash into not working and having fun with the guests and leaving the work to Tat.

Sandy needs to see Tash and Kyle are not working...doing their jobs. And give Nat some kudos for picking up the slack.

Nat needs to grow up and not brag about not having more than a 7 week relationship.

Think Storm is fine and will be when he wakes up.

Like Court...hard worker, team member, fun.

Interior is trending badly.  The guests wanted other drinks, no more wines.

Kyle thinks he's found the love of his life.  Are they together now?

But those guests talked about how they're going to have to go back to mac and cheese after having all this gourmet food over a 2-day charter.

Yeah these kids didn't pay no 5 or 6 figure charter fee.  They were picked out by casting.  Maybe they had some idea that Kyle would be so thirsty for one of them.

Oh the games thing, people running through the yacht while taking alcoholic drinks and dripping wet all over the deck, that's a brilliant idea from a safety POV.

Needy and whiny boys-- seems Tash has a type.  She likes letting one know she's close to the other--- then letting the other know she's still close to the first. (if that makes sense) Both of them apparently heartbroken and hoping she chooses them.  gag  I think she's the needy one.

Tonight's show was over the top with Kyle.  If any of the crew had been over the top close to one of the guests in that way and inserting themselves into every scene like he did I'd think the same.

I'm not buying that the charter guest was really into Kyle. I think he was egged on by production and went along with it for TV, but I got definite vibes from him that he was uncomfortable a lot of times around Kyle. Kyle just reeks of desperation, and it makes him even less attractive. Screaming "I love you Frank" out in the streets was just pathetic.

Yeah, I thought the same thing - last week Dave gave Tash the cold shoulder and told her he could do better. This week he takes her aside and says he wants to be friends. Make up your damn mind!

There's just something wrong with Jason, too. When your boss tells you to take a fifteen minute break you don't take forty-five minutes and then get pissy about it. I didn't hear Storm say anything about taking a shower, he just said take fifteen and grab something to eat.

It's like the show culled from the local psych ward for the cast this season. Don't forget about Raygan either.

Storm told Jason to change clothes and get something to eat. I can understand Jason thinking 15 minutes is not enough time.

Kyle and his teary-eyed "I've been waiting a long time for this (Frank)." Please, you barely spent 10 minutes with him and you think you're in love. And I agree Frank was going along for camera time.

The primary charter guest was a very nice man.

Sandy does seem off her game this season. Perhaps it's nothing more than the notable absence of her typical micromanaging. Without that, there's not much there.

They sure got a strange cast.  Part of me is hoping they cast them to irritate Sandy and give her headaches all season long.  She would deserve it too.  I hope there is a reunion because I think it would be great to watch this mess.

I was also thinking producer shenanigans. A better scene would be Kyle locked in the back seat of the van and banging on the window as Franks ride passes by. Kyle would be screaming... Elaine!...Elaine!...well actually, Frank! ...Frank! ...as if we were having a flashback of Dustin Hoffman's famous scene from The Graduate.

I *think* maybe Bravo is slowly backing away from Sandy. I noticed less of her last season too, and I think they got some backlash after what happened with Hannah. Sandy and Malia both came off very badly from that whole incident and I think Bravo misread the room at the time.

This season is so disappointing. I do like Courtney, Mzi and Storm. I go back and forth on Nat. I know I will root for her if Natasha and Kyle continue to slack off. I think what I find most disappointing is that I really enjoyed last season of BDMed. I mean, with the exception of Lexi, and Matt having meltdowns I enjoyed it. I really liked the crew camaraderie last season and the fact that there were not any crew hookups.

Courtney did well last season on the interior, but I really like her as a deckhand.

Speculation from the preview, Storm wouldn't promote Courtney over Miz. So that must be edit monkey shenanigans.

I hope not, because she appears to be taking on way more responsibility than he is.  She's driving the tender and always in the water attaching the jet skis.  Have we seen Mzi do either of those things?

I believe some level of certification is required to drive the tender. It's one of the reasons they didn't fire Benny on Down Under, he was the only one aside from the bosun who could drive the tender.

All that said, these mid-season promotions seem to be staged so as to create the most drama. Why can't they just wait & give whomever their 2nd stripe at the end of the season?  Do they really need a Lead deckhand??

According to Kyle's Instagram, him and Frank are still together.  I think Frank is a doctor, also. The affection seemed genuine on both parts.

Here's more from https://www.realitytitbit.com/bravo/below-deck/meet-below-deck-meds-frank-faye-as-kyle-reveals-hes-his-charter-crush

"The Below Deck Med star has gotten into a relationship following his Bravo debut, but it isn’t with the second stew. He is now dating a man called Jared Tiller, who currently lives in New York City.

After graduating from Rutgers University in 2007, Frank joined MWW Group in Irvine, CA, as an account coordinator. That same year, he switched his job to an account manager position at Fusion Public Relations.

Kyle is currently working at Magna5 as a Talent Acquisition Manager."

So Kyle works in HR.

This is my first season watching Below Deck and I am surprised by how entertaining it is. The crew are all a mess but it’s fun to see the rotation of charter guests. I found the Dave and Natasha situation disturbing and even more so to see how many people (and especially women) comment on his Insta about how he was completely in the right to send those texts to Natasha and she’s evil and crazy. And he seems to outright agree with them so clearly he’s learned nothing.

Kyle is so unprofessional with the guests, I keep waiting for him to get fired but I guess there’s more leeway since it’s being filmed?

Regarding upcoming previews, I think it is crazy for Storm to promote a deckhand to lead deckhand.  Mzi is on his second year and is still new to a lot of the skills.  Courtney is very green, has a great attitude, but not ready to be lead.  Jason probably has the most experience, but will not be promoted because he has an attitude with Storm.  I think everyone needs to maintain the status quo...if it's not broke, don't fix it.  This reeks of production interference.

"Talent acquisition manager" sounds like a fancy name for recruiter. I think what he probably does is try to recruit people for reality shows and gets a commission if any of them actually gets picked to be on a show. Or gets a small fee for each recruit he gets to sign with an agency.

I felt bad for Natalya.  She had to again pick up the slack for both Tash and Kyle.  They joined in on the pj party and didn't bother to complete their cleaning before bed.  If Tash had wanted Kyle to hang with the guests, since he was so in love immediately upon meeting someone, she should have done his part, as well as hers, so Natalya wouldn't have to do the work of 3.  She already has the crap job of cleaning and laundry and doesn't get to do anything remotely fun during the charters.  Then, when Natalya complained about it the next morning, Tasha couldn't even see her point.  Maybe she was too busy thinking about her next text to her needy boyfriend.

Jesus, the overreaction when Kyle called out, "I love you Frank" and all the girls in the vans started screaming and camera-ing.  So loud and it lasted so long.  IMO Kyle is in lust, not in love.

I like this season for not having useless crew members, or unbalanced chefs creating havoc. I enjoy episodes where the crew is great and the guests are atrocious. One of these episodes will (hopefully) show the guests being escorted off a day early because they behaved like entitled losers. I can't see Sandy following through, but Captain Lee would definitely show a guest to the door.

Maybe it's a U-Haul love? The kind where you quickly fall in love, and immediately move in together, but leave the u-haul in the driveway, because fast love requires you move in two months.

I agree. That's barely enough time to eat. Everyone should get at least get enough time to eat and dress if it's not occuring during their 2 hour break. 15 to 30 minutes is enough time, and 45 mins is taking advantage or making a passive/aggressive move.

No this is an acting job.  A lot of BD cast don’t take it seriously, especially the BDDU cast.

Some are veteran yachties and plan to keep working in yachting but others are hoping that appearing on the show will lead to other th8ngs.

Yeah, Jason is very annoying because he comes off as arrogant but I think it's insecurity. It bothered him a lot when his jokes didn't "land." I think the polite thing for Mzi and Courtney to do is at least fake chuckle every now and then so he doesn't feel so excluded. Don't get me wrong; I think he's obnoxious but his attitude got much worse and more defensive after Courtney came on and they were all laughing together and leaving him out.  It's not a nice feeling to be left out.

LOL! Yeah, Tash and Dave are sooooooo dramatic. I tend towards being dramatic myself, but jeez Louise. Obviously her ex is equally dramatic. Crimey.  And poor Mzi, It's hard to be in the friend zone when you want to be more, but I don't blame him for acting like he's cool with it. I've definitely done that when someone wasn't into me romantically but I still really enjoyed their company.

I think Kyle would be perfect as a recruiter. The guy's definitely got an outgoing enough personality. I can just imagine him: "Babe. let me tell you something, Babe. You've GOT to be on _________ show, Babe! Look at you; you're gorgeous, Babe." It's a great way to meet hot guys, too. Good for him.

TBH I found it triggering AF. I didn't think I would, but I had a boyfriend who crossed the line into abusive stalker when I broke up with him. Dave reminded me of him  (but not that hot, of course): needy, fragile, and doting. We dated for like 2-3 months and it was a disaster. After I broke up with him he'd follow me around campus crying, made suicidal threats, threatened my next boyfriend, etc., etc.  I ran into him 25 years later and just said "hello" in response to his greeting and and he was still a jerk to me and all pissed off that we didn't chat it up. Like dude I had to get a restraining order on your ass. We're not friends. Anyway...I don't think it helps Dave to defend his behavior. I don't think he's as bad as my ex, but he needs a lot of therapy to figure out why he's so needy in intimate relationships. He's got weak boundaries and a fragile sense of self. That can lead to disaster, as we've seen on this show. But Tash seems to have issues, too, and her ex is a nightmare as well.
