Kobe sees one that Em may like but it is $1450. How convenient that the markup is such that the shady jeweler will give 30% off to make it around $1100.

We get a couple of seconds of Patrick and Thais in Vegas, maybe.

I have a couple of questions about the Emily/Kobe segment of the previews. They were shown trying out large mattresses (and by trying out I mean practically having sexy time in the store) in order for them all to sleep in the same bed. Wouldn't it have made more sense for them to be buying a CRIB for the kid? Actually, I assume he has a crib already for napping, he certainly doesn't nap in a big bed at his age! But they seem to have left without buying anything.

Next Kobe is shown ring shopping with Emily's father and sister. Now Madeline has already seen the ring Emily bought herself, why didn't she steer him towards something similar in the store? Kobe says that Emily is very interested in the carat weight of the ring but it's okay if it's a carat's worth of chips (which won't be very impressive except from a distance) instead of a larger center stone?

That being said, I'm calling bullshit on the whole scene. In order to be married in Clark County, Nevada, you have to get a marriage license, and they're not offered at wedding chapels, but only at government offices. No way they could've been married right then unless they already had the license.

What bugs me is she has not gotten a pre nup for her assets, I wonder if she had done a pre nup first what would Bilal had said about it.  A pre nup is not a will and that is how they are treating it, it has nothing to do with heirs or surviving spouses, it has everything to do with a divorce, it is an agreement of what to do with assets brought in to the marriage and nothing to do with post marital assets. If they divorce Bilal cannot get his hands on her stuff she had prior to the marriage and vice a versa, nothing to do with if she has a child.  Bilal is protecting his assets such as his rickety old house with no faucet in the kitchen sink and Shaeeda is protecting her scarf collection...some of this may be moot if Missouri is a community property state...Shaeeda should contact a lawyer and not believe anything Bilal tells her.

It's very easy to get a license there though, much easier than most places. I like the place so much I've got married there twice & last time we had a great time while waiting in line to get a license, everyone in a good mood laughing & joking, it was fun.

Absolutely. I don't know what her financial situation is, though, to hire a U.S. lawyer (worth asking Sharp? It seems they have lawyers on pretty often, maybe comped for the publicity. In the preview, Shae's friends said, "You didn't come from nothing. For example, what about your yoga studio?" and they urged protections in it for her as well.

Emily's father is a douchebag.  He reiterates and is resigned to, "What Emily wants, Emily gets," as he goes with Kobe to buy a ring for Emily.  He claims he's there to keep Kobe's expenses reasonable, but he obviously has never set any expectations or sense of reality with his own daughter, Emily.  Then, he leaves the store, sighing heavily.  And, as @magemaud noted, Emily's sister knows that Emily already bought herself a ring.  Yet, she plays somewhat dumb about knowing Emily's preferences.  TLC used the obligatory mattress-shopping scene in the Kalani-Asuelo story, too.  There, Kalani and her sister had their heart-to-heart about Kalani's sex life, because a mattress store is the most appropriate place for that, of course.

Nonetheless, Emily's father can't hold a candle to Bilal.  The man needs to study verbs.  "I'm baffling. . ."   Shaeda has been feeling queasy every episode.  And, Bilal has stated how he's been hurt in love before, in every episode.  

There's no explanation why Leandro shows up in Princeton, especially around Ethiopian New Year (September 11).  Bini marked Ari as his territory with his welcoming kiss.  And, his MMA career isn't going to cover his rent if he only has one fight every few months.

I thought last season with Hamza and the hosebeast the attorney said that both sides have to have independent representation to review and advise regarding the prenup for it to stand up in court later.

Jibri's mother keeps whining that Miona is "rushing things" and "putting pressure" on her precious boy. Does she not understand that her idiot of a son brought Miona here on a fiancee visa? And that there is a deadline, or she has to go back to Serbia? Mama Jibri keeps acting like Miona is some kind of monster who has her talons in her poor unsuspecting lad. I don't find Miona bad at all. She isn't screaming or making demands. (That whole "beach wedding" thing is a red herring, I'm convinced). She wants to plan her wedding, why is that so horrible? Jibjab's father saying Miona is not committed to Jib because she said she would leave Jib if they did not marry...legally she would have to, what part of that does he not get? Also, this is all so fake.

Miona wants that beach wedding, why the push back from Jibjab? Who would even be there? It's not like she would invite her entire family and even if she did they couldn't attend, his parents don't seem the type to travel for that wedding...it would be the two of them and some guy in a space helmet officiating the wedding while Daveed gets teary watching the nuptials.  How much could that even cost? Oh yeah, it is all fake.

Thighs and Patrick have to work on their relationship because they are not having fun, Patrick takes Thighs to Las Vegas, I doubt there will be a trip to City Center so she can shop in the designer stores or go to a show and I doubt she will be blowing on the dice at the hight rollers craps table either.  Brother Matthew has old school braces? No Invisilign for him?  Patrick never had a conversation with Father Thighs about his intentions to marry her? Shame on both of them for not being honest. Also, what happens when real life creeps in and Patrick has to go to work everyday and DI-as (as he says with the hardest D ever spoken), has to endure a normal day to day life?  Life can't be a constant vacation. Is she expected to get a job or did Patrick tell her she would be a kept woman?

Yes...but she at least seems to be in good health, unlike the other 50+ women we have seen on this show fretting over whether or not they can "tote" a baby for their much younger men. 

Emily really is a piece of shit. She just HAD to tell him about the other ring and whip it out in front of her entire family, ruin the moment. The only reasons I can think of her doing this instead of just returning it quietly are 1) she is truly a moron and can't read a room/situation or 2)she was hoping he would say, oh ok hun, you liked that one and picked it out? Airhead and Bini---again, I know most of this is fake AF, but I felt for Bini when Leandro popped in and just wouldn't leave. I get that he was "part of the family" for several years, but they are divorced and do not share kids. She has moved on (well she should have) and has a child with someone she ostensibly wants to spend her life with. And that someone is not Leandro. Janice and DR FRed want to send him holiday cards, be friends on facebook, fine. Going wedding dress shopping? WTF. And I felt for Bini when it was the dinner for new year and he was trying to explain his traditions and they all turned to Leandro and started talking about Argentina and his traditions. WTF. Either this is all fake and if so I have lost all respect I had for Leandro who sounded like a great guy last time (PHD from good school, wordly, freed himself rom Airhead) for playing along with this crap, or Ari and Leandro are still banging. In the previews it looks like Airhead may be pregnant, and again, why TF is her exhusband the one asking when she last had her period???? The hypocrisy really blows my mind---Ari can't train with a woman in a public gym, but she can hang out adn let her ex husband braid her hair. Completely inappropriate. Bini is a skeezy dude who bangs tourists (or did) and played butt bongos, but he deserves better. 

Miona---props to her for keeping cool and I 100% agree with her that Jibri needs to talk to HER about his feelings, not everyone else in the house behind her back. He is way too immature for her. Run girl, run. 

Thais---I don't know how big a city it is where she lives in Brazil, but it is a very male dominated culture. Her father ABSOLUTELY could have kept her there against her will, even at 25, if he didn't agree with her marrying patrick. Maybe not with physical violence, but withhold money, etc. But now that she is safely in teh US, she needs to Facetime him, tell him the truth and to go F himself if he doesn't approve. I think she hesitates because let's face it, Patrick hasn't married her yet and there is still the slight chance he won't go through with it. He holds all the cards, especially financially. I agree with him though that it wasn't the way to do it---he wants something special even if it is small. Give her the nice dress, flowers, etc that he feels she "deserves."

Bilal/Shaeeda: Shaeeda, don't you sign anything without consulting an attorney.  And screw you, Bilal.

Yve/Mohammed: First off, having a baby is a ship that's sailed, but even if she could, there's Theran to consider.  Mohammed, your hypothetical child may be raised Muslim but does not have to remain one.  Yve has just learned that her faith or beliefs, from her Native American culture or otherwise,  do not count.  Her wishes don't count, because it's Mohammed's child, not theirs.  For what it's worth, we exposed our children to church and synagogue and told them they could make up their own minds.  They chose neither.  

Two years and four visits with this guy, and you never once talked about conversion, raising children, clothing, socializing and the rest?  You couldn't fail to notice Christmas and Easter rolling around and not discuss "What are we going to do about holidays?", presuming Yve or her family observe them?  What did they talk about, the Las Vegas Raiders?

Speaking of Vegas, there's Thais and Porky Pig, I mean Patrick! For once, I'm on team Patrick over not telling Thais' father.  Oh, that's sure to win the affection of your father in law (not).   It's not a permission issue or the old custom of asking for Dad's blessing, it's more of a courtesy so Dad isn't blindsided.

to be fair, invisalign is about 3x more expensive and for some cases, the metal braces are the most time efficient way to correct a smile. I say more along the lines of props to him and his husband for taking care of his teeth. I am also curious and how did the brother from BAHSTON end up with such a heavy accent if Patrick said he lived in vegas for 14 years? Was the other brother running in a southie street gang all that time? In jail?

I didn’t check your example but often the closed captioning corrects and Inserts the word that the person should have used to make them look better.  Which is fishy.

I was so frustrated while watching this episode.

But, but, but, I thought Brazilians (well, all of the foreign fiances) really loved family and that's why the Americans want to marry them.  So, why is Thais trying to manipulate both her family and Patrick?  I really didn't appreciate the fact that Thais made me side with Patrick in the "you should tell your father" story.  She is really immature and is willing to make a fool out of her father.

The only reason Emily "confessed" about buying a ring is because she was not the center of attention for a moment and Kobe was happy.  How can she be a victim if everything is going well.  Oh, and I liked the ring that Kobe picked way more than the one Emily picked.  Any mature person would just be appreciative and then quietly return the other ring without making a deal (well, any mature person would not have bought the ring in the first place...).

Yve is really trying to get Mohammed mad-I think she wants him to decide to go back and then she can play the "innocent victim."  First of all Yve, you are not going to have another child (yes, I know there are medical solutions to many things) and secondly you know well and good that Mohammed will want to raise his child Muslim.  I don't think Mohammed is bright enough to be a devious mastermind who hid his beliefs and preferences from Yve in order to get to the U.S. with intention to change everything once he was here.  I truly think she thought he would completely change once in the U.S. and is frustrated that her plans are not working out.

When Leandro (or Leander as Ari says it) was on the show in Ethiopia I thought he was nice but had been manipulated by Ari.  After watching this episode I think he likes stirring the pot and being on t.v. quite a bit.  My regard/respect for him went down quite a bit (not that he would ever care). If he wants to support Ari so much maybe he should have stayed married to her.  I get that the family is fond of him as he had been married to Ari for 10 years, but sometimes one has to acknowledge that things have changed and maybe going wedding dress shopping with her is not the best idea.  Just once I wish the American's family would consider the feelings of the fiance who is alone and without support.  I know, I know, it would never happen ont his show.
