You know what's crazy is if Kylie had just done subtle lip enhancement and left the rest of her face alone, she would've been gorgeous. All that extensive plastic surgery has made her look like a 35 year-old blow-up doll. She doesn't have that fresh-faced, effortless glow you see in teenagers and young women.

I'm so turned off by her and her group, if I saw a product associated with her, I'd look elsewhere.  I wouldn't even want anyone to think that I bought her products.

You know what's crazy to me? This girl has built an entire company off the backs of a lip kits that give the illusion of full lips meanwhile her ass was sporting lip fillers the entire time. If your product is so good, why did you ever need the lip fillers? It's just ironic to me that the very pressures Kylie has faced about her looks and her desire to meet beauty standards are standards that her own sisters have propelled into the mainstream as beauty must-haves even though most of their shit is fake too. Black women have sported full lips and naturally curvaceous asses since time but the Kardashians fetishize these features, take it to cartoonish proportions and now too many people and their dogs want to emulate this and call it beauty.

Good article on Huffington Post on why calling Kylie Jenner a self-made billionaire is ridiculous.

It articulates a lot of good points, such as having wealthy parents gives you a safety net which allows you to be more willing to risk putting your money into a venture, moving in wealthy circles gives you access to investors and knowledgeable contacts unavailable to Jill the Plumber, etc.  It doesn't slam Kylie, it just lays out that almost all wealthy people have wealthy parents.  They're starting out with massive advantages, so calling any billionaire 'self made' is usually poppycock.

Kylie's financial success is just as shocking to me as it was when I heard of the Olsen twin's financial success.  I mean, WTH?  I just don't get it. They looked like they were afraid of their own shadows.  And, Kylie......I wouldn't even hire her to work part-time in my office answering the phone or filing papers, because, she doesn't seem qualified to do anything so cerebral.  I can't imagine that she would even know how to spell the word "billionaire."   I'm NOT kidding.

Kylie and Jordyn may not be over:

“Although she doesn’t live at Kylie’s, Jordyn still has things there. She and Kylie aren’t socializing, but are in contact. They are texting each other,” the source says.

“It’s still a tricky situation for Kylie. And no one is actually putting too much pressure on her. Her family is aware that she is in contact with Jordyn. They are letting Kylie figure things out for herself,” the source explains.

A separate insider tells PEOPLE that Woods and Jenner, who often referred to each other as “wifey,” are “working on rebuilding their friendship.””

Genuinely curious here. Did Kylie do anything besides go out to eat at a semi  empty coffee shop to eat breakfast with a friend?  I saw one picture that was very far away with someone that had long hair. Jordyn has short chin length hair now. I feel for Kylie sometimes. When she posted the video of being out in the snow with Heather Sanders she got accused of tricking people into thinking it was Jordyn. It wasn't even a paparazzi hangout she went to with the "mystery" friend.

JMO but I don't think its Kylie's fault that Heather is often mistaken for Jordyn.

It’s not her fault, but I think it’s used to their advantage at this particular time. The fact that it wasn’t a typical paparazzi hangout just adds to the speculation that she’s trying to go low key. With this family I don’t think anything isn't carefully planned. Kylie may have a billion dollars but she’s just as invested in keeping attention on the family as the rest of them.

Kylie Jenner And Travis Scott’s Amazing Careers Are Getting In The Way Of Their Relationship

Quote

Remember how at the beginning of the month Pimp Mama and Demon Queen extraordinaire, Kris Jenner, teased Kylie Jenner‘s upcoming subplot on Keeping Up The Clock Ticking Down To The Apocalypse With The Kardashians when it was reported that Travis Scott was maybe cheating? Well honey, that storyline might have made it all the way from subplot to main stage, as sources are still whispering their demonic songs to TMZ who will listen to anyone with tea to spill on spawn from the hell-dimension. AKA: The Kardashians.

TMZ is hearing that Kylie and Travis are still not in a great place. After she accused him of cheating on her, Travis went ahead and did the good-millennial boyfriend thing to do when your girl is mad at you for getting DMs from other girls: he deleted his Instagram account. It looked like Kris Jenner had decided to leave her daughter’s relationship alone once Travis re-opened the page, but it seems she’s not done squeezing some drama out of her youngest child’s life. 10% of a billion dollars not enough for you, Kris?

Sources are saying that while the couple are still “in communication” since she blew up on him after finding “evidence” of cheating, they’re still only talking sporadically. The source says the relationship “isn’t even close to what it used to be.” Kylie’s trust issues with Travis have been firing on all cylinders while he’s been out on tour. And the source makes sure to let us know that Kylie is also busy and is not just sitting at home twiddling her thumbs for a billion dollars. She’s “preparing for product launches” and “most of her attention is focused on that and her daughter.”

The source does give us some hint that Kris will probably let Travis and Kylie be soon, as they mention that the couple is “confident they’ll be able to work things out” when Travis is on a break from his tour. So expect a reconciliation episode of KUWTK to be filmed when Travis is on break from his tour.

I wonder if Kris Jenner will ever tire of throwing people under the bus so that she can make a dollar? How many Birkin bags is a human soul worth, I wonder? Hopefully Kris will let Kylie film her make-up with Travis the same day she films her make-up with Jordyn Woods; don’t want to force Kylie to spend more time away from designing lip kits than necessary.

Lip service: what Kylie Jenner really sells us is a brush with fame

Quote

n the spring of 2015, girls started sucking shot glasses. They would put their lips into the glass, and then they’d suck, creating a vacuum which drew blood to the surface of their lips to create a swollen, puckered pout, and then they’d post a selfie on Instagram, hashtagged #KylieJennerChallenge. Kylie Jenner had been 10 when she first appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians eight years earlier, alongside her siblings and parents, Kris and Bruce (now Caitlyn), and she grew up on screen. On “screens”, really: she built a following of millions on social media, where her selfies became a brand of their own.

The popularity of the hashtag caused ripples, and those ripples made waves. There was controversy surrounding the injuries sustained by the teenage participants, and discourse on the sexist and racist politics of lips – all the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have been accused of altering their bodies to look more like black women, in countries that objectify their features but ignore their achievements. There was debate, too, about whether the pout everyone was copying had actually been achieved with lip fillers rather than mere gloss. When she was 17, Jenner denied having had surgery. And, as pressure mounted, she spoke out against the challenge: “I’m not here to try and encourage people to look like me.” Finally, she admitted that, actually, yes, she had had her lips augmented.

But, rather than causing outrage, her admission was read as a kind of vulnerability, a door opening. That summer, she capitalised on the attention by launching Kylie Lip Kits, which sold out within minutes. Last year, Kylie Cosmetics made $360m (£275m). And last week, Jenner, now 21, knocked Mark Zuckerberg off the top of Forbes’ list to become the world’s youngest ever self-made billionaire.

The reaction to this has been noisy and layered, a multi-storey car park of opinion. “It’s not self-made, it’s because her sister made a sex tape,” claimed Piers Morgan. There was curiosity about how a teenager, even one from an entertainment dynasty such as the Kardashians, could make a billion dollars out of lip gloss.

With every purchase of lip liner, fans buy access to a covetable life, an ever-moving soap opera of babies and breakups

What her sister did for bums, Jenner has done for lips. That is: focused attention on them, enabled them as fetish objects, promoted the idea that they can be reshaped seasonally. Reporting on the increase in buttock lifts last year, I heard Kim’s name in every room; similarly, Kylie has been named as the inspiration for a huge rise in women getting lip fillers. A day after she admitted her pout was the result of regular gel injections, one British clinic reported a 70% rise in inquiries. Lip augmentation was the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment of 2016 – Elle magazine suggested it had become as “routine as teeth whitening”. Jenner’s lip kits could be read as an entry-level drug – they are marketed as “your secret weapon to create the perfect Kylie Lip”. A lip best known for being … fake. And yet the success of Kylie Cosmetics pivots entirely on Jenner’s manipulation of social media.

“It’s the most authentic thing I’ve done in my career,” Jenner said of her cosmetics line, in an interview with her sister Kim Kardashian. “I was insecure about my lips, and lipstick is what helped me feel confident. And I feel like people could see that it’s authentic to me.”

She’s right, despite the fact that the authentic life she’s reflecting is a swimming-pooled, white-rugged, celebrity-partied, infinitely broadcast life cushioned by credit cards and the impossibility of failure. Her one-year-old daughter, Stormi, has a net worth of $8m, suggesting that Jenner has learnt from her own mother, who has been managing her children’s careers since they were born. In this family, the day you secure your first sponsorship deal is the day you become an adult. “I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything,” Jenner told Forbes of her many millions of followers on Instagram and Snapchat. They would have bought whatever she was selling. Because, of course, what she is really selling is herself.

With every purchase of Coconut lip liner and Yesss Girl gloss, fans buy access to a covetable life, one filled not just with crystal-studded tchotchkes but an ever-moving soap opera of babies and breakups, and theses about body image. Their family is a machine that makes more machines – reports on Jenner’s billionaire status drive readers to her website, and their cosmetics (all production and sales are outsourced – she runs the company from her phone) continue to sell out. She was born into a brand, and, using its built-in influencers, has franchised it to glittering success.

The key to Jenner, and the modern business model, is that word “authenticity”, a word that shifts in meaning according to whose shadow it stands in. For her, it means that, even though her sponsored Instagram posts are valued at $1m each, they read less like ads and more like the check-ins of a girl who would be sharing these selfies even if she were not promoting “all-new” setting powders. For her, it may not mean relatability: in that same interview with her sister, Kardashian asked what her last text message had said. It was a message to her security guard to buy her apples. One day she will post a swimsuit picture; the next, she’ll talk about her shyness about her body – the push-pull of exposure and its effect, and the commodification of such anxieties, have been part of her life since she was born. This is authenticity, albeit of the 1%.

The machine keeps whirring; her wild success inspires debate. Last year she stopped getting lip fillers. “Now that she’s made her fortune?” tweeted activist Brittany Packnett. “Those lip fillers came out. The fake tan disappeared … She’ll exploit black culture and black people for as long as it’s profitable, and then return to the comfort of whiteness.”

Both Jenner and the world’s richest woman, 65-year-old L’Oréal heir Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, are in the cosmetics industry. Which, for some, undermines any potential message of feminist empowerment. But it is possible to enjoy the expressive potential of makeup and also to wonder if both fortunes rely on female panic, a pursuit of uncatchable perfection. Both also profit from what’s described as the “lipstick index”, the observation that lipstick sales tend to be inversely correlated to economic health.

Jenner’s business thrives in bad times and benefits from controversy. So, if the critics continue poking, we can expect her billions to double by Christmas.

Kylie Jenner Is Still Insisting She’s “Self-Made”

Quote

Everybody’s 2nd least favorite Jr. billionaire (Sorry Kylie Jenner, Mark Zuckerberg will always be #1, despite the numbers) is still trying to convince the world that every dime she’s earned since the age of 15 has been the product of her own blood, sweat, and tears. And I’m sure she’s right on some level. I have no doubt she’s bled (manicurist cut her cuticles too short), sweat (that time Jordyn Woods trended above her on Twitter) and cried (see bled and sweat) at points during her rise to “apodictic powerhouse”, as Interview Germany put it in a recent, well, interview. But we’re still not buying what she’s selling (that’s Pimp Mama Kris supplying a warehouse hidden on a private island in the Pacific with a billion dollars worth of Kylie Cosmetics).

Kylie sat down for about 10 softball questions from Interview Germany. She queefed out such bon mots as “I feel like God put me in this position” and “I would love to just put my phone away and live in the moment” and “I hope people will remember that I pushed boundaries”. You know, real insightful, world shaping stuff. But things got a little more serious when The Interviewer suddenly stood up, walked behind a partition, came back dressed as a dentist with a tray of gruesome implements and simply asked “is it safe?”. It was time for the hard question.

SD: A lot of people feel like the term “self-made” is not 100% accurate in your case…

KJ: There’s really no other word to use other than self-made because that is the truth. That is the category that I fall under. Although, I am a special case because before I started Kylie Cosmetics, I had a huge platform and lots of fans. I did not get money from my parents past the age of 15. I used 100% of my own money to start the company, not a dime in my bank account is inherited… and I am very proud of that.

Phew, I can’t believe she got out of that one with all her molars intact! Besides, where is the lie? I’m sure all her inherited Kardashian Kash has long been transferred into untraceable gold bullion that’s kept in an underground bunker under the streets of Zürich.

Kylie cracking the whip??

“RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the lip kit mogul, 21, has given her “Astroworld” boyfriend, 26, a few rules to abide by following the drama. These will include some sacrifices on his part and increased access on her end.

“He’s had to hand over all his passwords and grant Kylie full access to his electronic devices – even his iCloud,” a source told Radar.

Jenner is also being strict about who her man hangs around and made it clear he can have no groupies backstage during his shows. She’s insisted he go to bed at midnight every night, check in with her and Stormi a few times a day and provide detailed reports of his whereabouts.”

FFS, it's not like she was booted from the family home when she was 15, that's when her pimp mother turned her out started making big bucks off her like she was doing with the rest of her stable daughters. That's when an unintelligent, untalented junior varsity teenager began receiving an obscenely major league income. This little wench wasn't born on third base, she was born on home plate. Gah! A pox on their mansions!

I wish there was a site devoted to showing photos of their natural faces photoshopped into the nauseating in-their-dreams photos of them with their kids.

I don't see Travis agreeing to any rules. He's at the top of his game, making tons of money, selling out his tour and by all appearances, has a strong family. He's never struck me as someone who's desperate to become part of the Kardashian machine. I think this is Kris Jenner p.r. fluff to make it seem like Kylie's the one in control, when the reality is she's more like Khloe in the insecurity department.

  • Love 6

I think this is just Kylie's emotional response to Jordyn's absence and the "betrayal" she's going through from that loss of relationship.

Because TMZ AKA Kardashian spokesperson said that Kylie just found I guess a bunch of DM's from thirsty women on Instagram to Travis. Which doesn't mean he's cheating IMO, what I'd like to know was what were his responses to these women if he made any at all.

Him deleting his Instagram was a nice gesture to Kylie but in the long run it might not be best for him business wise because that's how a lot of music artist's connect with thier fans. What he should do his have a business account and personal one and on the business Instagram account turn the DM feature off meaning nobody can send him a DM if it's anything legitimate work related have an email address for his manager or post their Instagram contact info.

Also I don't buy that rader online story for a second that Kylie is demanding to micromanage a 26 year old grown man's life like that. No relationship works that way and it's borderline mental abuse to be that controlling.

This~ I love to see the how they really looked. All of them. Ridiculous and scary amounts of plastic surgery. I think it's hard to recognize them pre-work. Oh and of course in addition to the Facial surgery and injections can we also mention Body tweaking? Because no way has exercise  alone accomplished those transformations.

I think the biggest change of any (and that's saying a LOT) is Khloe.

7. Be authentically you.

Kylie’s brand is great at making her audience feel like they are accessing her directly and getting to see different sides of her. She seamlessly weaves posts about her everyday life with promotions for products she’s using at the moment, which further increases customer demand.

Her social media pages are also filled with posts about her personal life, including photos of her baby, Stormi. She allows her followers to peek behind the curtain, giving them insights into what it’s like to be Kylie. It’s her ability to authentically project herself that draws her audience in.

Remember to be genuine and true to your personality on social media. Have you guys ever heard of Elizabeth Holmes? Anyway, she is a con artist of amazing proportions. In her heyday, she was considered to be worth 9 billion dollars and had people like Henry Kissinger on her board of directors.  She got most of this clout by being born into the right family and being able to manipulate older wealthy men who no longer had power. She was a total fake and her product never worked. I think the media is desperate to have a young attractive white woman with the right background and the "new youngest self-made millionaire". Just like Kylie, her business was private to so for a long time her claims were not refuted. She claimed the company was making hundreds of millions of dollars in sales when in truth it was only like twenty thousand. She was on the cover of Fortune and did many TED talks. What I am saying is never underestimate the power of the hype machine, particularly in today's age of social media.

That is her. People do not realize the type of power and influence you have just by being born into a wealthy, well off, and well-connected family. It is not like being born on third base, it is more like being born 1 inch away from home plate.

While I wouldn't call Kylie self-made either, the family wasn't always multi-millionaires. The house Kris and Bruce/Caitlyn lived in the first few seasons of the show was very modest, Khloe and Kourtney were sharing a house, and Kim was making a big deal about being able to buy a Bentley in which she taunted Khloe and Kourtney that they couldn't afford. She most likely used the money she got from the sex tape to buy it.
