My Indian work friend retired a couple of years ago. She seemed more modern and I don’t think she moved in with her kids and their spouses. I think she was born in Tanzania and then moved to Canada.

Sounds like your work friend adapted to American culture the same way Jenny should adapt to the culture of India.

They even adopted Canadian holidays like Christmas. They had a tree because they liked the lights and it looked pretty, the days were dark and it made things brighter, the kids had friends in school who celebrated it. It was a day to spend with family and eat some turkey or whatever. They were in Canada now. Jenny can bring some of her own traditions and add it to the new culture with Sumit and his family.

Man, you guys are harder on Jenny than my own Indian mother is. Jenny has made way more of an effort to assimilate than we have seen on Sumit’s end to make her adjustment easier. She wears Indian clothes, she mentioned trying to cook Indian food, and if she had more than two people to talk to in India she might have picked up some more Hindi by now.

Sumit had a traditional Indian wife, but he divorced her in a ($20) grand gesture where he begged his parents to reject the customs of old. But all of a sudden Jenny is held to the expectations of Indian housewives from 30 years ago? Why?

She had a home, a business, and I assume some insurance bucks from her dead husband.

Do we know that her husband had life insurance? He may have been unemployed at the time, so that means his company didn't provide that. Both of them so young, chances are they didn't buy it on their own, especially if his health was okay.

Ellie saying what she said to Victor about it being HER money that he'd been spending struck me as a very emasculating thing to say, but he didn't seem to be too bothered by it.  I really do think that she's at the point where she doesn't want to be throwing more good money after bad when it comes to rebuilding Victor's home.  Talk about NOT being in it for better or worse.  She clearly envisioned her vacation paradise as being her future life, and now that the island is completely devastated she's not interested in making her future home there.

True. She never thought she'd be spending her money on rebuilding, so that comment was probably made out of a small sliver of resentment, which will start to grow at a colossal rate as she starts to shell out more and more money. She was so focused on dropping everything in getting to this love-of-her-life, not at all considering she'd be the one to start financing "their" new place in it's entirety. Her savings could be gone quickly. Maybe she's putting all her charges on a credit card and she's starting to stress over it big time. Plus does she deep down think that Victor is really committed to her? Possibly not after that non-emotional apology he gave her for his cheating.

I'm actually not the poster who said that bit about her once having a home, a business, etc. It's one of those quote glitches. That was @KateHearts. I said I think she still does have those things, assuming she really owned them in the first place. If she did, I don't believe she sold off anything.

Kenny and Armando:  He is crying AGAIN!  If going on 60 people don’t have babies then perhaps they should not hook up with a young partner.  Something to think about.

Alina and the Sanctimonious Shit:  If she stays with him, she deserves everything she gets.  Go Mama Alina!!  You tell him.  Caffeine BAD Sex GOOD.🤣🤣

Corey and Evelyn:  Don’t care.

Bini and Ari:  NOW she thinks maybe it was not a good idea to come to the States because she’s worried that Bini will actually have a good time while she’s gone. I thought the surgery in the United States was essential!

I was going to comment on this episode but this post basically does it for me. Thank you for sparing me the keystrokes. 😊

I thought Jenny and Sumit had sunk as low as they could when he took her to the park/cow pasture and gave her the promise ring.  But now the scene of Jenny trying to work in the kitchen while being berated is worse. She acts so grateful for being treated like an idiot.
But I really can’t wait for her next scene where she’ll angrily declare she deserves better and isn’t going to put up with it anymore.

Hmmmm, so Victor wanted his live in girlfriend to buy him a motorcycle. He denies it (not very believably)  but we know it's true. He's a user and I can't stand the guy.

He didn't actually deny it, just turned Ellie's accusation around to "Why would I ask her to buy me a motorcycle?" Not really answering a question by asking another question is a classic lying conman distraction.

"Yay! Mummy is here teaching my 70-year-old fiancé how to clean up the house!" And I am living for it!

Ellie is the other girl. She needs to realize that stat. And the fact that she gave up her business and house (in fucking Seattle!) for him…oof.

I think Victor is neck and neck with Sumit as the worst man this episode. The way he just brushed off Ellie’s emotions about his cheating. No remorse or consideration for her.

Ari’s family is so disrespectful to Bini. He is the father and they aren’t even factoring him into a discussion about where to raise his kid! They’re talking like it’s a given he’s NOT going to raise him!

Sorry, but I was Team Kenny this episode. Even though the adoption process can take a while, it seems like a better option. I feel like their huge age gap is starting to impact some aspects of their relationship.

Alina drinks coffee every day and it manifested SteVen. You all can doubt but I’m pretty sure this is the work of the Angel of Destruction.

If I ever get to the point where I'm letting a bunny owned by some random dude on the street decide my future, someone needs to take me out back and put me out of my misery.

Alina’s mom, Anna, is a BOSS. 😎 She is a true example of a great 90 Day Fiance mom.

I got angry when I heard Evelin refer to Jenny as “that thing”. Jenny was told by Corey that he was single. If anyone is a “thing” it is Corey as he was the one who knew he was married! Gay, I feel so bad for Jenny.

This is the ultimate in disrespect. Bini probably doesn't feel comfortable presenting (or arguing) his position, seeing how Ari's family is so well-off financially and they are paying for the caregiver and household. He doesn't want to do anything to anger Ari either, because of his past experience with his first baby-mama, as he thinks she has the power to destroy his family so he goes along with what she wants without real discussion. This whole dynamic is off and Ari is completely supporting it. Bini will always be last, unfortunately. He deserves better.

Bini and his sisters clearly love their own culture.  Given that fact, dummy (I'm talking to YOU, Bini), make babies with Ethiopian women like your conga drums ex-girlfriend.  That way you will have better than a snowball's chance in hell of the baby(ies) growing up with those same beliefs.  Stop inseminating American women that you bump into on the street during their vacations.

What exactly has Victor been doing for work all of his life prior to meeting his bank, I mean girlfriend, Ellie?

This episode's segment about Kenny and Armando felt to me like these two can't enjoy the breath of fresh air that they've been given of not having to combat anything for a change.  Not only are they good to go re getting married, but huge barriers have come down with regards to Armando's family.  Enjoy the good things before you all are getting yourselves twisted up about making babies vs. adopting children.  How is it that only now you two are having this conversation?  Before getting as serious with each other as you two are is when this conversation should have been had, and decisions made.  Personally, I have never wanted children, and thus don't have them.  I'm 54 years of age (Kenny's age range), and even if I did like kids and had already had them, the last thing I would want to do is start all over again with being a parent.

To each his own, though, because my parents adopted me through a private adoption vs. state adoption when they were 54 and 53 respectively.  However, they had tried all of their married lives to have children but were unable to conceive, so for them, despite the ages they were, it was not too late.  Unfortunately, and let me preface this by saying that they were the best parents ever, BUT because of their being older, I lost both of them at very young ages (my dad when I was 18 and my mom when I was 29).  Furthermore, I was taking care of my mother the last 7 years of her life because she had full blown Alzheimer's.  That's a lot to put on a young person.  BUT I wouldn't have traded my parents for any others for the world, despite all of that.

I also FLOVE Alina's mom.  Unfortunately, I don't think she's going to be able to talk any sense into Alina.

Evelin pissed me off to no end with that nasty comment about Jenny, who seems to have been an innocent party in all of this.  Evelin is the farthest thing from an angel, just like Corey is also no angel.  These two need to NOT direct any negativity at the innocent party in all of this, Jenny, re their numerous marital problems (this couple had nothing but numerous pre-marital problems as well).

I am 56 and did always want them, hence I did, at ages 32 and 34.  Having said that, EMPTY NEST IS THE BEST.  I have ZERO desire for grandkids for at least ten years and if my sons choose to not have kids......fine with me.  My choice, may not be theirs.  No badgering.  I am saying this as it ANNOYS me (hence I don't watch much anymore as it grates with parents being overly involved in reproductive decisions or people of either gender wanting to start again in their mid 50's.  I muted Angela (when she aired) a loooong time ago for this very reason.

No, but they should have discussed this earlier.  A lot earlier, especially if it is a deal breaker for one or the other of them.   On the other hand, they may well have agreed one way or the other about it, and this is TLC trying to amp up a plot line for them now that we will soon know if Pa Armando shows up at the wedding.

The only redeeming part of this whole episode was the scene in which Armando, Kenny, and Hannah are playing nail salon.   I loved it.

I was appalled but not surprised that Steven would try to convert Ma Alina.  I was hoping she might make an effort to convert him to the Russian Orthodox church.   We had a neighbor who was famous for converting the Mormon and JW missionaries who came to him;  they became Catholic.  Eventually word must have gotten back to the missionary senders, because he got fewer and fewer missionaries.  Or maybe they just wrote off our neighborhood.

I remember him saying he wanted to convert her whole family! I think that's his plan for moving to Russia, he will continue his Mormon missionary and pressure everyone he meets to convert with his Russian wife by his side ringing doorbells.

Steven isn't the brightest of missionaries...nor even close to the maturity of those who leave on missions at 18.  Could he be be neurodiverse and simply taking many things too literally?  He will be annoying potential converts for a long--LONG time.  And--probably...women.

Its the Mormon way. My parents were in Salt Lake once, (they used to drive out to see my grandfather in Arizona and wind their way back to Massachusetts just stopping along the way for fun) and my mother said that the people were super nice and friendly but always, ALWAYS trying to convert you.

While I wouldn't say I'm a Jenny fan, I don't mind her. Although she should have given up a while ago, I like her and Sumit, and she has a good heart. Having said that: if you KNOW your potential mother-in-law is going to judge you starting when she walks in the door, why did you (and Sumit) not clean up the kitchen?? We're ALL judging you for your apparent lack of understanding basic causation.

Victor, in the store, saying something about not being able to make any money. Me: "There are a lot of us who will chip in a few bucks for you to cut off that thing hanging from your chin."
