Christian and Alyssa holding HOH-like meetings is hilarious.  They just kicked Claire out because they need to talk to Britt 🤣 And they scheduled Azah for later.

Christian is definitely trying to sell Claire (and Tiff) on banding together with the Jokers and remaining Kings.  That's a great plan except Alyssa also told him to give the same pitch to Hannah.  I'm sure that won't come out.

Wow, Claire left and Christian just went off on Derex (to Alyssa and Britini) about how he's a liar who can't make up his own mind and someone else is running his HOH because he would never make these moves on his own.

This is rich coming from the man currently pussy-whipped by the stick figure with no soul.

(And yes I just went Carrie Bradshaw for SATC fans out there, lol!)

Christian and Alyssa are talking with Britini about how to approach  Azah.  Seconds after they finish,

Christian:  So what do I say?

Britini:  Everything you just said!

Christian:  I know, but I forgot.

The fascinating thing to me is that from a Cookout perspective, it really doesn't matter WHO goes between Christian and Sarah Beth, right? So that opens up some interesting agreement possibilities.

Hannah, for instance, besides doing what Derek wants, Sarah Beth was clearly coming for her, so since it doesn't affect the Cookout, why NOT just vote SB out if you're Hannah?

SB has clearly ruffled some feathers this week.  I don't know if it was just for taking (requesting that Derex not take away) the $5000, or if it's the traditional villainization of the block sitter.  Tiff has been livid about her and Britini was just telling ChrisAlyss how SB tried to convince her that it was better for her if SB won veto and was taken down.  I remember thinking it was a shaky argument when SB was planning it, but I didn't know she actually went to Britini prior to veto.  I guess we'll have to wait for the veto comp Wednesday to see what really went down.

ETA:  Since we are at extended bubbles (Did Christian take his ball and DOR??? not likely) it's a good time to note that I find it hilarious that ChrisAlyss are being forced to emerge from their, well, chrysalis, to interact with the rest of the house.  Christian mentioned how it seemed like Derek and Azah had developed some kind of bond "out of the blue".  That's what happens when you're not locked down with your non-showmance for 24 hours a day.

Not sure why Christian is going so hard right now trying to convince Derex to keep him in the house.  At the conclusion of the veto meeting, Derex has no power left.  Even if there is some "do what the HOH wants" going on, Christian should be concerned with convincing the rest of the house to keep him, not Derex.

Because he doesn't understand the game he's playing, because he really wanted to be on Love Island.

Christian/Tiff talking. Tiff saying how much she wants to keep him, but saying she can't say that yet and she needs time and needs to get the larger picture of the house and her place going forward.  She's really great at these one on ones.

But basically blowing him off while wishing she could just vote out SB and have Ky back.

At this point voting out Christian would be like a mercy.  Lordy-be, he really is that stupid.

I don't think he'd do much better on Love Island though.  I've only watched that show a couple of times, and I don't really see him as material for that show either.  He's not bad looking, but some of those guys are hawt--like Xavier hot.  Christian also is a bit lacking in the romantic ability department too, his big move is to flip a blanket over and make kissy faces.

So basically, she’s following her own script. Last night, I think it was Hannah (maybe Claire) who asked what she should say to Christian today when he asked for her support, and this is exactly what Tiff advised.

She really is scary good at this.

Tiff has officially lost her damn mind with her hatred of SB, and I fully expect her to still attempt to flip the vote.

Okay, I must’ve missed something here; why exactly does Tiff have her knickers in such a wad over getting SB out?  I know SB was running her mouth last week about getting Hannah out over Whitney, but SB has since backed off that and tried mending fences with Hannah - to the point of actively lobbying DX to keep Hannah off the Block (and I really wish DX would pass word of that to Hannah, and suspect his motives for not doing so).
In any case: I’m not aware of SB engaging in ANY sort of significant escalation against Tiff specifically or any member of the CO in general, yet Tiff’s animus towards SB is accelerating up an increasingly steep incline - and if Tiff isn’t careful, she’s likely to drive her game straight off a cliff.

Why is SB getting all the flack for this? The Kings turned on each other quickly...

I’m sure at this point in their pathos Christian and Alyssa are positive that in the post-Britini-PoV-win / pre-PoV-ceremony time frame, SB threw Christian UTB as one of the few HGs certain to go home sitting next to SB on the Block.

Now, I’m not aware of SB initiating any significant discussion of the sort with DX - but even if SB did, why shouldn’t she???  The moment Britini won PoV, SB was guaranteed to be riding a Block chair on Thursday - so in what universe would it NOT be considered reasonable for SB to try any tactic in the book to preserve her game?  Do Alyssa and Christian really think SB owes her fellow Kings loyalty to the point of sacrificing her own personal game for them?  Geez….  🙄

Tiffany is really offended SB took the money in the veto comp. She's also really offended she caught Ky and SB hugging in the SR. She also is offended SB has been crying this week.

It's very confusing but anything SB does is likely to get Tiff into orbit.

IMHO Tiff is looking for any rationalization she can to justify her current levels of SB hate.  SB has graduated to being Tiff’s BEC.  😆

I think it really, really hurts Tiffany's feelings that Ky and her had a great connection at first but he's sort of distanced himself from her. So she blames SB when in fact that's just the way things are sometimes -- not everyone in the BB house is going to be super-tight.

Yes, Tiffany and Kyland were pretty close, especially during their Have Not week. I thought they were going to be another showmance. Then suddenly there was talk about Sarah Beth and Kyland being close and I never saw that one coming.

Turning on the feeds, and...Christian/Alyssa have taken to their bed. I'm sure it's not permanent - Alyssa in particular will not let death take him - but it was super funny to turn on the feeds after dinner only to get the expected "couple who are totally not a couple, not like those other couples, and why won't the house just see that they (can vary wildly depending who "they" are) have the numbers and are awesome, and why do they insist on making Stupid Moves which only benefit themselves and not Christian/Alyssa" mopiness in the bed. Not that I've actually listened to them, but I'm thinking it's somewhat along those lines.

Yeah, Hannah and SB talked a lot last week, and have seemed to have reached a mutual detente.  This week has only shown SB she has a LOT more people who are after her, and Hannah could be ally. And Hannah really has Derex's back, and now that he's done this, she's going to back him 100%.

I think it makes more sense for Hannah than most of the house to get rid of Christian.  She wasn't part of the Royal Flush, she KNOWS about the Royal flush, it seemed to be a strong alliance (until this week, heh), and Christian has been shown to be a much stronger competitor than SB.

What do you folks think about how close SB has gotten to Kyland? Is she in the Christine zone yet? What would you think if you were her girlfriend?

Eh, she's not married. I definitely think they're attracted to each other. Ky is a pretty touchy-feely person in general. Idk if they'll date outside the house, but there's definitely an attraction. But I generally like both of them so they don't squick me out.

Heh.  The one feedback Christian keeps getting is "hey, don't do so much campaigning so soon".  They are ALL starting to get sick of it, and it's only been a few hours.  These people are going to be so over it by Wednesday, they might form a line in the DR to self-evict.

I think Tiff's hate on for SB is absolutely about Kyland, but also in the context of their game, the racial subtext here is pretty thick: Tiff forms a bond with Kyland and has been really open and vulnerable with him about how much of her own game she is sacrificing to get the six thru, on the socio-political principal of the thing, and he immediately starts hanging out with the manic pixie white dream girl. It is almost certainly extra salt in the admittedly pretty minor wound of him hanging out with SB more than he hangs time with Tiff anymore.

But also it doesn't really bother me because Tiff ALSO has really really good game reasons for wanting SB's ass out.  Namely that during that week with Hannah she proved largely immune to any misting, specifically to Tiffany/CO misting. I do think Tiff should understand its possible Kyland got close to SB BECAUSE of that to keep his eye on her and run her game, but eh that ain't it. So yeah just a confluence of her frustrated that she couldn't get SB out this week, and that she also has to watch Kyland cape for and cuddle with her all damn day for a whole nother week at least. I do hope she can get a grip though because while she's been more Vanessa than Dan she can't let this continue to get to her so much, focus instead on when she stabs Kyland in the back! I like him but no one in that six OR in the rest of the house should want to be standing next to him no  how now way in F2. Maybe Azah? But she's also unlike to get near F2 for the same reason (likability, sense that she played the game straight up and nice).

Oh the feeds last time I checked were Claire/Derex/SB telling each other bad pun jokes while X gives them the thumbs up or down. VERY EXCITING.

All that time Kyland spent hand-whipping the meringue for Sarah Beth's special birthday pie because she doesn't like cake... and then some donkey let it burn.

Those club sandwiches that he's making look damned tasty, though. I bought Flamin' Hot Cheetos today because of Derex but it might have to be sangy night.

I see Derex whisking something in a bowl.  So is Ky.  Do they not have an electric hand mixer in the house?  I mean, two whisks but BB production is too cheap to spring for an electric hand mixer that you can probably get at Target for $15.

ETA - and now Ky has Deref whisking for him but the whisk they're using is way too big for the bowl so he's struggling and not just because he's never whisked anything before in his life.  And he gave it back to Ky.

I think they're making more meringue.

They're whipping meringue by hand again to try again. This feels like a safe space so I think I can share: unfortunately I have this thing about stuff being whipped (with a bowl and a whisk, not like that) because of a bad flu with a high fever, being high on Nyquil, and watching Jamie Oliver do scrambled eggs on TV so I'm enjoying this sudden wrist porn. The sound is annoying, the visuals are great. Aren't you glad you know that about me now? Also Derex has a great whisking technique. *happy sigh*

9UfzsPa.png

Yeah, that's the shit... did I just make it weird?

Now Derex and Kyland are whipping individuals bowls of meringue.

Derex to Kyland: "Here, let me whip yours." *double happy sigh*

Deref: "Do you guys want me to tag in?" Aaaand fun over. I might have to turn on Food Network to get my fix now.

No. I think the theory is that they would be too loud with the microphones so they've been doing it by hand. I'm so in my happy place right now. It's Ryan Lochte's back muscles all over again!

Derex following that with "I'm coming... I mean, it's coming!" about the meringue finally meringueing didn't help.

This pie is going to be horrible. It was made yesterday with a Jello like meringue placed on it last night, left overnight, and burnt today. And now we've scraped off the burnt meringue and replaced it with another meringue and they're putting it back in the oven on bake (not broil because Azah says it might burn again). Apparently it's a lime pie - or was at one point. I dunno what it's final form is gonna be but I don't think it's going to be pie. At this point, Franzel's bad, sunken vegan cake from last season might be more palatable.

Got a brief glimpse of the kitchen— Who’s the jackass? (I mean the person in the jackass costume, not the actual jackass. Christian’s nowhere to be seen.)

Switch to bathroom, where Alyssa is angrily brushing all the enamel off her teeth. Christian enters and tells her “Big D accepted the offer!” Alyssa’s eyes widen. “Er- he listened to the offer”, Christian clarifies. Alyssa turns and spits.

Claire comes out of the shower stall, dressed as the Queen of Hearts. Christian tells her things are looking good. He can’t tell her who he talked to or what he said. Because she was in the magic soundproofed stall and couldn’t hear.

After, Christian tells X he made Big D an offer he couldn’t refuse. (Are there horses’ heads in our future?) He says he made X part of the deal. X looks at him like, WTF? Christian says he promised the Jokers that X wouldn’t make them Have Nots. X relaxes and says ok, he doesn’t care about that.

Out of nowhere, X asks, “Is Shelly real?” And WHAT IS UP WITH THE SHELLY OBSESSION? So what if she IS fictitious?? It’s not like any one lies about their real lives in this game, Counselor.

Christian and Alyssa are offering up items from their future HoH baskets ("If you want gluten free Oreos, or..."), the room, the music request, and all the powers and the chance to make both the nominations and replacement noms of Christian's future hypothetical HoH win (not Alyssa's, they just won't hit the block if she wins) to the Jokers so long as Christian and Alyssa aren't nominated that week. The offer was made to Azah but I believe is meant for the whole team since Christian keeps saying "they". Christian is telling Xavier this and including Xavier in the safety deal, yet Azah's retell to Xavier earlier only included Alyssa and Christian.

This is a lot just to flip Azah because Christian truly believes he already has Deref and Britini.

Alyssa: "She said 'Verbally I'm going to say yes but I can't sign on it yet'."
Christian: "She said she's gonna sleep on it."

But apparently Azah's face lit up according to Christian and he's so proud because it was all his idea and Alyssa didn't hit him once to stop him talking! Wow!  Giggle. Their love is so epic. Hair flip.

Xavier is pointing out to them that if they tell the Queens, Christian is going to lose Tiffany and Claire. It's okay! Azah won't tell anyone! (She told Xavier before Christian did so.)

Kyland. I guess it's a play on the Jack of Clubs card - he's a jackass making club sandwiches and serving them.

I disagree. I find Tiffany's habit of going from room to room trashing SB very tiresome. It's honestly beneath her to be this pressed about someone who is essentially harmless.

Agreed. Tiff is a very clever, observant person and this isn't a great strategy. Slut shaming SB every five minutes, or when anyone is within earshot, is definitely beneath her. What is the implication? That because SB is unfaithful to Shelly it follows that eventually she would be disloyal to her fellow hgs? That she's too distracted by Ky to focus on the game? She doesn't explicitly say those things (or maybe she has and I've missed it!).

I suppose the veto scandal has turned off a lot of people, so perhaps she could focus on SB's self-centeredness/poor sportsmanship instead of speculating about Shelly's hurt feelings.  Until recently Tiff seemed like a shoe-in for America's Favorite Player, but I'm not so sure now. Dx's popularity is on the rise and a lot of viewers seem to like Claire. Sure, the grand prize is way more money and striving to be one of the BB greats doesn't mean playing a virtuous game necessarily. I just wish she'd tone down some of the petty stuff and talk real game.

At what point does X realize that he's on a sinking ship with Xtian & Alyssa and quietly throw his life vest onto the SB ship as it floats by on eviction night?  Temporarily, at least, he's got to wise up to the fact that losing Xtian isn't really damaging to his game in the long run, right?

Tiff, Claire and Hannah are in the HOH chatting.  They're all in agreement that Deref is the most oblivious HG.  They're conferring about the votes - Hannah is pretty confident that Brit is just telling Chrisalys whatever they want to hear but is firmly in favor of voting Xtian out.  Deref - easily swayed because he doesn't understand the game.  Probably not wrong about that.  Now they're discussing their own conversations with Chrisalys after the POV ceremony.

Azah enters and they can’t talk about Deref any more. They ask who she’s voting out and she says SB. Hannah thinks she’s being sarcastic, but nope. Azah says SB is too much of a comp threat, and they are all  “yeah… Uh huh. Guess that’s true.”

And his feelings might change out there because in the house, he's forced to be around Alyssa 24/7 except when she's in the DR "or pooping". So he has a free pass but he doesn't want it. When Kyland brushes his teeth, the donkey head shakes back and forth, ears flopping, and it’s kind of hilarious.

After he leaves, Hannah and Azah talk. Hannah is afraid X might blow up their game over Christian. Azah doesn’t think that will happen. X is just upset because he already gave up Whitney who he had built bonds with, and now they’re making him ditch someone else. She had similar feelings in week 2 when she had to give up Frenchie.

Hannah concurs that it will be very hard when she has to turn on Derex, knowing she was never committed to him in the first place. They talk about the difficulty of backstabbing people you’ve gotten close to.

Hannah says they have to make decisions based on 3 questions: Who’s most likely to figure out the Cookout? Who’s most likely to put up two Cookout members? and Who has the means to do it?

This week, she says, that’s Christian. Azah agrees. X will get over it.
