Loved Ana throwing shade MeAgain's way when she said that her accent was real--someone famously tweeted that Ana is faking her accent. And then we had Sara throwing shade with the comment that just cause you grew up in politics doesn't make you qualified. 👀

Re Ana and MeAgain being confused by guidelines re COVID. I have to assume that things there are the same as in Canada. That is, federal regulations supersede provincial regs, which supersede municipal or county regs.  So earlier on, my city had stricter regs than my province. We had a mask mandate here but you could drive to a Costco outside the city limits and there was no requirement. Eventually and little too late, the province got with the program and mandated stricter covid restrictions which actually now in many cases are stricter than what some cities and counties were doing.

I don't find it confusing at all. It's all posted on gov't sites, in social media and covered by the media, so I think people understand the rules. They just may not like them.

But - during the conversation about the confusion between CDC recommendations and state/local jurisdictions mask requirements, etc., Meghan said that Las Vegas was going to open up completely, no masks, etc., in June - so she guesses she'll have to go there to party (or something to that effect).

If she hasn't been vaccinated and wants to go to Vegas? Her ass is going to have to take a COVID test and show them proof of a negative at the airport. Then she's going to have to self-quarantine her narcissistic self; drink, partay, whatever she wants to do--mix around with super spreaders and what not, cuz girl's gotta partay and drink, right? Then she'll have to repeat the process upon her return home. Wherever that may be.

Ana - “this is my real accent”.  MM’s husband has previously insinuated Ana’s Latina accent was fake.    MM’s face and eyes definitely reacted to that one.

Yes, and I just double-checked and it was specific to the point that  he said Ana was doing a Sofia Vergara accent. So Ana was being very clear in her intent today!

Whoever is standing to MeAgain's left told MeAgain to smile. Her eyes darted left then she looked forward and smiled and then she realized that Ana had zinged her!

This tells us all we need to know about Meghan.  Most people want vaccinated so they can be safe. So they can see family.   So they can go back to work.  Meghan wants to drink and gamble.  Her mother must be so proud.

Exactly, and I get Sunny’s frustration seeing the difference between how black and white people are treated. I think Don does too even if he had a different opinion on this specific shooting. Sunny’s smart but seems to think she’s always right, end of story. No matter how smart she is and how many good points she has, it’s unbecoming. Even if I thought my friend were 100% wrong, I wouldn’t say it like that on national TV. I’m sure she wouldn’t appreciate Don talking about her like that.

I had no problem with it at all.  Sunny took it personally because in the Black community there seems to be a lack of empathy for Black girls and women when they are murdered by the police.  There are Black men who blamed Breonna Taylor for allegedly being with the wrong type of man saying that she should have chosen better. So Sunny was triggered by Don Lemon as was I.. Black women are not protected by their men, full stop.. Mah'kia had nobody to protect her and she took matters into her own hands with deadly results.  She was only 16, yet people are calling her an adult, she was not.  The adults in her life failed her and now she is just another dead Black body at the hands of the police and I am just sick of it.   Sunny was restrained as far as I was concerned, she should have thrown some expletives towards Don Lemon.

What an obvious set-up to praise Whoopi today. She pretends to ask the question "Is anyone going to watch the Oscars this weekend? Sarah ?"

To which Sara goes into ass-kissing mode and tells her she's on the cover of VANITY FAIR, celebrating her 30th anniversary to win an Oscar (who cares), and Whoopi feigned surprise that Sara brought this up.  Then we go round-robin to the other hosts who never mention the Oscars this weekend, but do praise Whoopi for her 'amazing photos' because she 'looks so beautiful' (I gagged - the photos were horrible and she looked ridiculous) and then had to let the audience know the trivia behind her role in 'Ghost' (who cares).

Of course, no one acknowledged this weekend's Oscars, which is what she asked in the first place.

Talk about a bulls*** segment !  Why not just be honest with everyone and shoe the magazine and go on from there ?

And did we really have to end the show with an Infomercial

This whole post had Get off my lawn vibes and I'm here for it!😂

LeBron has very prominently been in the news the past few days. So maybe this particular mistake actually WAS based on something legitimately on her mind.

Bless her heart, but Joy's been off with some of the stuff she's said lately. I hope she's doing okay. I don't think she meant to ever disrespect Caitlyn Jenner either. She's been an LGBT ally for many years.

Yes, fully vaccinated.

LOL Sunny's been on The View since 2019. I think the only woman who doesn't think she's smarter than she is, is probably Sara. The others speak very confidently about subjects they don't seem to know the first thing about.

Joy’s saying “double vaxxed” is no different than other words people have made up over the years out of laziness. Such as adulting. That’s not a real word. It’s stupid. Now “legit” is commonplace in the vernacular when if one wants to get technical it’s  legitimate. Or ‘rents, grands when referring to parents or grandkids.

Joy is fine. If she wants to use a short cut, so what?

I'm not arguing the "vaxxed" part. I'm perfectly fine with it, as I am with 'rents, grands, legit, vacay, and so many others.😉

I think Meghan mentioned Lebron tweeting the police officer’s name (picture?) and said he could be endangering the officer’s life by doing so, so Whoopi may not have been confusing names (in this case, at least!).

LOL Sunny's been on The View since 2019

Actually, Sunny's been there a lot longer than that.

CNN President Jon Klein signed her to the network in September 2007 as the legal analyst for its flagship morning show American Morning. In 2014, Hostin began frequently appearing as a guest contributor on the ABC daytime talk show The View.[11] In 2015, Hostin participated in a TEDx Talk titled A Possibility Model that details the effects of an early trauma.[12] In March 2016, it was announced that Hostin was joining ABC News as Senior Legal Correspondent and analyst.[13] She became a permanent co-host of The View beginning the show's twentieth season in September 2016.

In Canada people make the distinction because we have to wait 16 weeks between doses and hardly anyone has received both doses.

Wow, why so long?  If you don't mind me asking.  You'd think the first dose would start to weaken. by then.  P.s.  (between you and me)(Love Canada!  Big big fan!)  I grew up not far from the border and some of my best party days were over the bridge.  Yep, very fond of Canada. 🙃

Where I am they want to get as many people vaccinated with the first dose so that more of the population has protection. In my province, they first started with older people with Pfizer and Moderna. Then they opened it up to people below 65 years of age, going by birth year and working through the years. But this meant I was vaccinated before my hubby who is 65. The reason for that was the Astra Zeneca vax had not been tested in 65+ so they were only giving it to younger people but at the high end of younger. And now they have opened it up to younger again, calling it Gen xer's. This means that those of us who got one AZ vax have to wait three to four months to get the second.

We actually say we are half-vaxxed and then when you get the second shot people say they are double vaxxed, but yes fully vaxxed is probably more correct. But I often say, yeah I will meet you for such and such when I double vaxxed!

I disagree. This was just a way to push the idea that the left promotes "cancel culture" and that it actually exists.

Still on Friday's show. Sara is now clearly the smartest  and nicest person on the panel. She does her homework, speaks from her heart with her brain and keeps her sense of humor intact. (can't stand her Greta combo, though... but she's the only one who would take that gig, I guess).

As for the Caitlyn Jenner pronoun brouhaha...Bruce Jenner was a very famous man for a very long time. He was also a fame whore who used his transition to further self-promote.  Personally I still think of her as "him". The term "prick in a dress" comes to mind.

As usual, MeAgain made no sense and her comment that Liberty must think she's the only baby in the world was a hoot

No kidding. My son is 7 months old, goes to daycare and probably also thinks he’s the only baby in the world when he’s by himself. Of course, when he looks in the mirror: “oh, look, another baby!”

Now, I’ll admit, this last year has been hell, and this is from someone whose life hasn’t changed that much (kids still went to daycare, I still went to work-I’m a doctor, FYI) but being vaccinated means I get to see my 93 yo grandma and my mom can travel from a different state to help out without quarantining without fear of any of us getting sick. And as much as I want this pandemic to be over, I’m just so tired of Megan and the other special snowflakes trying to strong arm everybody else into going back to the same old, same old without the US reaching a 70% vaccination rate. Hell, last weekend, my 2 year old had a fever and what did I do? Brought both kids to the doctor to get covid tested because I know how important it is not to be a spreader. (They were negative, btw)

Oh ok. Well the first part makes sense. That was an issue here as well, will people get their second...i think a big part was the vacc confusion.  Not knowing where or when.  They should really have volunteers at each facility that can either run for the pt to get stuff, or go with them.  Escort them. And make sure they get there.

Fair enough - but we all know that just running for office isn't always enough to stop people from fanning flames of anger and jumping down people's throats for missteps.  Is Jenner canny enough to use someone else's gaffe to further her own agenda?  I have no idea.  And sincerely hope I hear very little more about Jenner - especially not about her landing in the Governor's office!!

EXACTLY. It was a Freudian slip, if ever there was one.   She started off by referring to Jenner as 'he' and continued with that, and to me that means she doesn't see Jenner as a female.  She's never done that with Laverne Cox on the show - wonder why ?

I think that, for some people, it is difficult to know them as one gender and then switch. Caitlyn Jenner was known as Bruce Jenner, and making that leap to "used to be he, now she" takes a bit of thought at times.   Laverne Cox was not widely known as a male, unless I am missing something.

It happens in families all the time, especially among the older generation - they can be supportive and understanding, but it is difficult to change the way you THINK about an individual's gender.

Correct, and I have a transgender relative. Even those of us who are 100% supportive can mess up the pronouns, especially older people. It only took me a bit of time to adjust, but I am much younger than Joy.

It's more complicated than that. I seem to recall Jenner quite notably at one point making it clear publicly that she didn't think it was a big deal (I think it had to do with the girls calling her "Dad" but I think also carried over to the pronouns too).

There's really no one size fits all application here. To me it's why anyone complaining about this on Twitter could have been replied to with "Rather than telling us what you think, let's wait to hear what Caitlyn Jenner thinks".

Joy introduced the Caitlynn Jenner segment using the correct pronouns while a photo of Caitlynn was on the screen.  It was only when discussing the male campaign manager or whatever he is that Joy referred to both unseen people as "he".  Joy caught her mistake and went back to using the correct pronouns. Caitlynn wasn't offended.
