Popular Post freddi April 26, 2020 Popular Post Share April 26, 2020 (edited) Whoa. It took me a minute. Brad Pitt. Then I thought: they have figured out that they are no longer bound by the time-space continuum -- and they can go anywhere, anytime, and have *anyone* on the show. And his real tribute to the health care teams -- one of the best I have seen. Edited April 26, 2020 by freddi 47 Link to comment

GoldenGirl90 April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 LOL I like the “What’s up with that” segment from home with all the MYSpace-like animations. Idk if it’s the wine or what, but I’m crackin’ up! It looks so cheesy and so 2004-ish, which I think is the goal. 3 19 Link to comment
formerlyfreedom April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 And if ever there was a sketch that could effectively use all the various goofy tools and animations and stuff - this was it! Kudos, show! It felt very 'real' in it's unrealness! 10 Link to comment

Popular Post GoldenGirl90 April 26, 2020 Popular Post Share April 26, 2020 (edited) You can tell they put a little more effort into this one, which I don’t blame them for because the first at-home episode was mostly an experiment. Again, I don’t know if it’s the alcohol or the actual content but I’ve giggled more than a couple times so far. Pete is looking healthy, which is a plus. Maverick April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 I think Sudekis was stock footage. Seeing What Up With That again was awesome. Apparently only a pandemic could have pulled this one out of retirement. The grocery store ad was awesome. "Boy Scout cookies. They're wet!" "Pepto Bismol Oreos!" (Don't laugh Given the Oreo abominations they've created it's not that far fetched). So far this one is much more 'produced' so I'm enjoying it more. The last one was good, especially considering the circumstances but it felt very much what it was: homemade skits with limited resources and minimal interaction. It was good seeing anew show, but also a little sad. 20 Link to comment

Yeah, I think they are finding their groove - it's different, and it's more polished then the last one. They're figuring out which sketches work best with this format. The Bartenson's grocery was an excellent choice. I may have choked my drink a tiny bit with the missed high fives... 10 Link to comment

Maverick April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 #WomenFirstOnMars for the win. Ok, why is the NY Dept of Health saying you have to wash up before showing some self love? I mean I get you'd want to wash Cheetos (any variety of Cheetos) and such off your hands, but from a corona perspective, like why? And hell, while I'm puzzling things out.....it's not in semen but it's in crap? Why is Mircoban still running commercials? I mean, that shit would sell itself....if you could, you know, actually find any. At this point it's kind of a sick tease. 4 Link to comment

Popular Post Galileo908 April 26, 2020 Popular Post Share April 26, 2020 And we're back! Again! Kind of! Cold Open: They actually got Dr. Fauci?! Never expected him to look like Brad Pitt. Not much to say about this. It was nice. Monologue: Wow, no monologue this time. That's a first. What Up With That At Home: This was a fine experiment. I love how Lyndsey Buckhingham was on a bad Zoom call. And they got Charles Barkley in for this! DJ Khaled as the ignored second guest was genius. Love that even Fred and Jason came back from this. It somehow all worked. I loved seeing Cecily as Quarantina. In Depth with Brian Sutter: Okay, a zoom interview with snapchat filters is a great idea for a sketch here. Short and fun. Tired: Great song. Loved seeing Adam Sandler joining in. This is SO something he would've done back in the day so this was perfect. Rob Schneider getting BTFO by Sandler was gold. Bartenson's: I work in supermarkets and this was 100% accurate. There's some things that still haven't sold out. We still have lots of Dasani. And all the weird Oreo flavors are still plentiful. "Boy Scout Cookies: They're wet!" Big Dominican Lunch: Big Papi gets a sketch! Having him host an at home cooking show is just a great concept. I laughed so hard at the ceiling cam iPhone...which fell in the pot. RIP. Who was playing Big Bunny? Airbnb: Man, Chloe is talented. I hope we see Ooli again. Rona Got Me Outta Jail: This was fun. He was in jail for pirating a Sopranos box set? I loved Aidy in this. "I've never had my ass clapped" slayed me. Miley Cyrus: Didn't see this coming for musical guest. Also didn't expect her singing Pink Floyd, but I liked it. And since Brad Pitt introduced her, does this count as a hosting gig for him? WU: Looks more professional this time! I miss the laugh track. And once again, the news got too stupid in the past 48 hours. Che just went OFF on the red state protesters and I was here for it. "IT'S WEIRD WITHOUT AN AUDIENCE!" Same, Pete. "Cocaine ain't gonna cut itself" indeed. Soulcycle: Finally we got Bowen! All the cyclists were great. This sketch is a LOT better without the commentary from the normal people. "LIBERATE MICHIGAN, LET'S GO!" OJ Simpson: Oh jesus, wow. Now this was an amazing concept. Kenan is just so great. "Follow me on TikTok. There's little alibis of me goofing around." Facetime: Paul Rudd! I don't remember Cousin Mandy, apparently we've seen her before. The Reveal: Ha, Law & Order over Zoom. This was fun. Now I won't get "Rare Steak" out of my head. "Masculine rock, like how it used to be." PornHub: Yes! Loved that reveal. Such a perfect spoof of all those "we're in this together" ads everyone's been making. The sketch being followed by like five real ads just like it was the cherry on top. Good to know they put the editing department to work this week. Whiskers R We: Yay! Kate managed to make this work with only using a single cat. What's My Name: I missed Kyle so much, and I liked the song. Fading away was the touch I've been expecting from him. Melissa's Big Date: Even in Quarantine, Weird SNL didn't fail to show up. Dating nobody is just so perfectly her. Jesus Christ that symbolism with the stock footage. I'm never gonna look at Joey Chestnut the same after that. Aidy's Real Journals: Yeah, you can't fake journals like that. Drawing Rosie on her talk shows? The seal that looked like a turd? The page full of "Turtels"? Yeah, they're real. Loved her commentary on her old stuff. Overall way better than the last experiment. We'll return...eventually. Maybe I'll get around to finishing the John Mulaney episode before then. Once again the credits over the empty studio are heartbreaking. 29 Link to comment
Popular Post formerlyfreedom April 26, 2020 Popular Post Share April 26, 2020 From my point of view, a stronger showing then the last attempt. They upped their game, and there were a few sketches at the end that didn't work as well for me, but that was far outweighed by the rest of the show. Thanks for the new content, and for doing what you can do, show! 25 Link to comment

Melina22 April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 I really enjoyed this but thought it ran out of laughs and energy by the Melissa and Aidy sketches. Or maybe I'm just tired. Still, I'm happy they did it. To my shock, I really enjoyed Mileys song and didn't fast forward it. Although at one point I thought her backyard might have caught on fire as she disappeared into a wall of smoke. 9 3 Link to comment
vb68 April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 (edited) Well I thoroughly enjoyed this one. They have definitely found their groove with these at Home shows. This one was much more polished. And there was a lot more interaction with the cast. I knew it was Brad Pitt immediately. I knew about Dr. Fauci requesting Brad, so I was hoping Brad would show up if somebody was going to play Dr. Fauci. And Brad did not disappoint. Loved that they revived What Up With That. that stock footage of Lindsey Buckingham cracked me up. I pretty much enjoyed everything except for maybe the Law and Order one, which the whole idea never really came together. Che seemed noticeably more relaxed, which was nice to see. I'm glad Kyle made it on before it was over. I missed Alex. The whole thing with Sandler is so interesting to me. Full circle. For years he held on to some grudge with the show/Lorne and now obviously he has the much esteemed "Friend of the Show" status. I swear when I first Paul Rudd, I thought it was going to be the Vogelchecks. Edited April 26, 2020 by vb68 10 Link to comment
Peace 47 April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 The “Big Dominican Lunch” sketch had me laughing throughout. Not just the ceiling iPhone, but the one dish with the seven meats being called a “genocide” by PETA. And Kenan saying, stone-faced, “I was shot” when the other guy (could not place him?) asked how he was looking so good. Brad Pitt in that wig reminded me of a young Val Kilmer. That Bartenson’s sketch felt very true to life. I’ll have to see if a Van Helsing DVD pops up in my next fruitless Instacart order search for toilet paper. Have a good night, all. I’m going to go drink some Dasani and eat mint Pringles. And I won’t use a straw: we’ve got to save the “turtels”! 4 14 Link to comment

Lantern7 April 26, 2020 Share April 26, 2020 "Whiskers R We" for the win. I mean, who would have expected a stripped-down version featuring Kate, a wig, and her unamused cat? Brad Pitt has never hosted, has he? Funny that Fight Club was playing on one of the HBO channels at the same time. I always expect the real David Ortiz to swing by and bust Kenan's chops. Well, maybe once things settle down. Papi could bring a really Big Ass Pot, then put Kenan in it. I'm assuming that would be followed by the Chicken, Pot, Pie. 5 Link to comment
