Adam calling out Victor is a thing of beauty. Adam knows he’s basically a “teaser pony” but I’m thinking that Olive is only looking at Adam and Victor as an adversary and prove she smarter than both of them.  

Nostrils is a mighty mighty man in giving up on his children in keeping them out of harms way. Nostrils could be creating a dangerous situation as he did with leaving DD in the car and most likely a running car. 

It’s hard for me to believe that Victor doesn’t know that Olive is in NYC. I would bet the farm that Victor has someone tailing her.  Maybe not, but what can Michael really do that one of Victor’s PI’s can’t?  

Chelsea, shouldn’t you have your nose to the designer’s pad to meet your deadlines than spreading your pheromones around GC to see who’s man you can try to steal next.  Kyle, Nostrils, and Banana Breath come to mind.  Chloe is correct, you need a babysitter.  

I have to admit that Sally looks the best of all in leather or is it pleather?  Sally wears some godawful dresses but her figure remains statuesque.  Where as Chelsea’s and Summer’s clothes are not flattering and gives them the appearance that their top and bottom are out of proportion making them look short and frumpy.  For me, that’s Sally’s peers so I’m not considering the older population.  Well maybe for Nikki because nothing she wears is at all flattering.

Sally was so happy finally getting to sit in the big boss chair! Had to laugh at her outfit though. It was like 9 to 5 meets bondage mistress.

I guess Lily decided to go braless today because the girls were drooping pretty low. 😼 Meanwhile, there was Billy again with his tie color matching Lily's dress. I don't know why that annoys me.

Well at least Adam got to call Victor out on his being used to manipulate Victoria.  But I think he needs to stop telling daddy that he'll prove he's a better CEO. Just do it, Adam, and let the results undeniably speak for themselves. Otherwise you keep looking weak and insecure.

Okay, Lily started buying a clue. I suspect Billy's getting tired of drinking her bath water but he's not ready to admit it to himself yet.

Right off the bat Chelsea asked Billy about Johnny and Katie and it didn't seem to faze him at all. In fact, he acted like he and Chelz are old chums. Are they actually chem-testing those two? Noooooooooo!!!!! 💩💩💩💩💩

Why is Chelsea still trying to get to Johnny? I don't like her using Connor as a way to make that happen. She did the same thing when she was lowkey moving on Rey. Billy was noncommittal on the proposed playdate but eventually contact between the boys will be beyond his ability to prevent.

Wait, what? Billy said he doesn't know where Victoria is. I don't get why he's accepting that given how his kids are out of his immediate reach right now. He might trust Victoria but Ashland remains a potential danger IMO.

Lily doesn't seem to like how Billy's star is rising due to his podcast. Oh noes. 🙄

Michael Baldwin, you know darned well Victor is paying you the big $$$$ to be his consigliere and personal henchman. Stop acting brand new.

Damn, with parents like Victor and Nikki, is it any wonder Victoria ran away? I’d book the next flight on Elon Musk’s spacecraft and bribe him to take me all the way to the moon. 

At least Adam isn’t deluding himself into thinking Victor really wants him to run the company. And he knows he shouldn’t have opened his mouth but couldn’t help it. Hopefully Victor will let him actually do something with NE before showing him the door.…again.

My apologies to the many Sally fans on this forum, but the sight of her playing at CEO was just ludicrous.

I know, it’s typical for soap operas. It just bugs me… (Laura being the mayor of Port Charles on GH also sticks in my craw).

 Guess I have a hang up about unqualified people being in positions of power - happens too much in real life too!

They've already done a Chelsea/Billy pairing back when Burgess Jenkins was in the role and IIRC, Billy dumped her at the altar in spectacular fashion after he found out she cheated with JH Gabriel/Adam. More importantly, Chelsea is Billy's rapist- she drugged him and raped him and IMO no amount of chemistry between the characters/actors could ever make that pairing okay.

Sally is perfectly qualified. She is actually one of the few who is, on this show. She ran her own fashion house. She resurrected Spectra Fashions from nothing more than a dusty memory and a decaying poster promoting recycling.

The "brilliant" Victor couldn't understand Michael was actually paying him a compliment with the point he made.   Ashland: Sleazy, Bad!  Me, Victor: Hot, Tough, and Good! is all he wants to hear.

Maybe things were different back in the day, but I swear he comes off more like a boorish grunt that fell into riches rather than this cagey businessman he's supposed.

I would agree, too, that whatever else else.... Sally is definitely qualified for this.

Yeah, Summer's about due for some comeuppance. I don't think Chelsea will go after Kyle though. Here's the scenario I've written in my head:

• Chelsea gets overwhelmed at having to carry Fenmores, Jabot, and Marchetti on her back (sure) and is about to miss the most critical production deadlines. Summer, Lauren, and Chloe all give her pep talks but nothing works. Kyle decides to try his hand at it and Chelsea ends up breaking down in his arms. That leads to Chelsea receiving some Marvin Gaye-style sexual healing from Kyle and suddenly she's back on her designing game to everyone's amazement (but Kyle's personal shame).

She summons Chelsea over to the Abbott house where she serves tea and biscotti while she coolly reads to Chelsea the morality clause of her Marchetti contract. You're fired, Chelsea!
• Then Lauren shows up and tells Chelsea that Fenmores doesn't need her anymore either. When Chelsea starts ragging on how they'll be left in a lurch without anyone to finish the next season's designs, in walks Sally with a fabulous portfolio of sketches! Even Chelsea has to admit she's impressed.
• Lauren huffs and puffs but realizes she'll have to get over her issues with Sally. Summer and Sally shake hands and agree in front of Kyle and Chelsea to bury the hatchet for the sake of business. It's a one-off though because Sally will return to her job as CEO of Newman Media, where NM will now have first look at all new clothes to be sold by Marchetti, Jabot, and Fenmores. Then Summer and Kyle and Lauren will pursue another permanent designer not named Chelsea.

Okay, Y&R, there you have it. Pay me. 😉

I’ve been in business for over 40 years and if I had a nickel for all the unqualified people running a business, I would be very wealthy. There is an old adage that says 90% of business are mismanaged and the only reason they make money is because the company can’t help but to make money. 
 

Lily and Summer are far less qualified, in their positions, than Sally. As far as I’m concerned, Olive is far less qualified, to run NE, than Adam.  
 

One other thing, the monkeys with a keyboard, are minimally qualified to be writers.

I still say that Kyle can handle both CEO positions. I don’t believe that Marchetti is going to be a separate company but it will be under the banner of Jabot. Kyle should be talented enough to focus on weighting Marchetti’s ship with our completely ignoring Jabot. Listen, if that amazing world renowned designer Chelsea 2.0 can design for Marchetti and Fenmores, than Kyle can also do double duty. 

Michael Micheal Michael you are really a snake in the grass. Pretending your a great friend, of Diane, on one hand but with the other hand you slap her across the face. Micheal, Diane could have easily changed her name to Taylor Jensen, in LA, for the sake of hiding her true identity and Diane is only Diane Jenkins in GC.  

Rodan Rodan Rodan, your disguise is more ridiculous than the one Sally used to spy on Nostrils. No hat nor sunglasses can hide your red hair or your jawline. So tell me Rodan, is it your big hat that helps amplify sounds or is it your cleavage being  used like floppy hound dog ears that are amplifying the conversations you are trying to overhear. 

As an aside, Elena can’t be only an intern if the hospital is sending her to speak at a convention.  Sure Elena, take a mini working vacation on the hospital’s dime. 

Is Rodan that delusional. Her past discretions where only fopars?  I guess attempt murder, to Rodan’s mind, is only a fopar because it was only an attempted murder not a full murder. 

What crawled up Natey Nate Nate’s ass and died?  Is it Imani?  Is Natey Nate Nate thinking about cheating on Elena?  One a cheat, always a cheat. 

Like Amanda can’t fake cry with tears, Rodan can’t act surprised nor sincere without sounding like a phony.   

Did I hear correctly?  Summer wants Rodan to back off?  What have they done to you?  TIIC actually gave you a backbone  and a better personality.  Summer wants Rodan to put her money where her mouth is and go to Jack’s house to smoke the piece pipe with Diane. If Diane makes any inroads with Jack, Diane should avoid walking by Rexx Rugs at any cost. Down the street from Rexx Rugs is a Hertz office that has a rental car with Diane’s name on it.

Jack took the news about Kyle moving over to Marchetti much better than I would've expected.

Those lapels on Michael's suit jacket were huge. Didn't realize that look was back in style.

I don't remember, did we ever get to see Imani's dad? She's had such a weird storyline, with most of it occurring off-screen until recently when the writers decided to point her at Nate.

Not sure I understand why Michael warned Diane he was going to be doing a deep dive into her life in LA. Doesn't that give her a chance to hide things? He better hope Diane doesn't mention to Nikki that he gave her a heads-up.

Shut up, Summer. It's not your job to keep the peace between Jack, Phyllis, and Diane. Gah.

Had to laugh at the way Phyllis kept folding her arms under her rack. She really, really wanted it to look like her boobs were perky. Red, your flapjacks probably haven't stood up on their own since the turn of the millennium. 😼

Ooh, I liked Elena's dress. Seemed impractical for traveling though unless Devon is lending her his private jet.

I actually don’t mind the OTT Phyllis hat & all. I get they are playing it for the absurdity of it all. I like that Michael is trying to keep both his ladies as friends. That said, I’m not sure if it came down to it who he’d be more loyal to? I guess Diane…..maybe. Susan Walters just pops off the screen with that smile. She looks so happy to be there and I think PB & MS are enjoying it, too.

I'm trying to imagine anyone in Phyllis's getup wandering the streets of my Iowan home town and multiple people not calling the Mercy Hospital locked ward to see if anyone had gone AWOL.  Nah, wouldn't happen.  Phyllis would be staring at inkblots before the afternoon Jello hour.

I liked Michael today, being honest with Diane while also honoring her claim to be a changed woman.  He redeemed himself so he knows it's possible.  I also liked him calling out Phyllis on her inability to see she's the pot to Diane's kettle.  Diane's one up on her, though, just by not wearing that hat.

No lie, I'm really enjoying Susan Walters.  I'm also enjoying NuSummer, a lot.  She's a brighter, more balanced character than HK's version ever was.  While more tolerable and enjoyable to me, NuSummer still has some of her same old bad qualities, like not knowing how to mind her own business.

I thought MM did a very good job expressing her distress over her mom's health issues.  Those were good scenes.

I'm confused as to what Show is doing with Devon.   He presents, IMO, as a pretty prickly, guarded and dour character these days but then he perked up when he was interacting with Elena, a little like he used to be.  They headed for a reunion?  Devon going to be making an emergency trip to Hawaii?

The announcement of permanent world peace could be ruined with a pan out shot showing Phyllis in a vamp rag listening in, trying desperately to hit runway modeling poses.  Wear a fucking sweater if you want to be innocuous...or actually, take your faux baddie rage crying and disappear, forever! That'll do it.

If I could believe she were actually the villain in this story- which she is- that'd be one thing, but we know that's not happening.  It's crazy, I've quickly gone from being able to tolerate this character- and even hope she might return to some semblance of normalcy- to be being absolutely done. 

Wondering like I'm Victor, here....does Michael actually care about Diane, or is he just really into his newfound fixer assignment? Hoping it's the former, but just have my doubts (fears) about where this is going. 

Summer, a clue, please.  Jack doesn't want to tell you because it was something humiliating, which given your mother it shouldn't be too hard to basically figure out.

Dummer asked SyPhyllis if she wanted to go to lunch "with Kyle and I". So Dummer doesn't know when to use "I" vs "me". What a maroon! And not only Dummer, but the actress who plays her and whichever MWT that wrote the script. It just gets harder and harder to hang in there with this show.

I am not warming up to this version of Dummer. I hate the character, it's true, but I had hopes that the new actress would make her palatable. Nope.

I don’t mind this Summer but she’s kind of lack luster compared to the dynamic Sally Spectra.

Adam is so handsome and I am enjoying this version of him. I want him to succeed at Newman to the point where it would be dumb to bring Victoria back.

My god, Phyllis grimacing at Diane at the park was terrifying. The woman is so annoying. Diane in comparison is lovely and articulate.

I caught a flash of a hand behind Victoria when she was talking to Ashland. Who was that dammit?

Sally looks very much like a CEO today. As Adam said, understated but powerful.  Sally is just about the only one that can pull off having a belt around her waist to were it adds and not distracts from her outfit. 

I have to say that this maybe her first news conference as a CEO of a news media company, but this is definitely not her first news conference. Sally has taken on the LA news and fashion reporters, in LA, as owner of Spectra Fashions and has hosted Fashion Shows and even one in Monti Carlo. 

Is Summer’s blouse made out of wrapping paper?  Summer’s outfit is not that bad but the blouse needs to be made out of a different material.  Is that’s supposed to be a peasant blouse, it should be made out of cotton or linen.

Preemption for 10 minutes and than back to our regular programming with Summer, Rodan, and Diane in the park. 

Once again Rodan proves how disingenuous she can be. Even Summer was rolling her eyes when Rodan was pretending to bury the hatchet with Diane. 

Olive Olive Olive in what world would you be surprised that Victor would not mention Poppin Fresh’s name.  Was it so urgent what Banana Breath had to tell Victor that couldn’t wait to after the press conference. To me, Victor and Banana Breath were being very rude. 

Rodan Rodan Rodan, I’m very sure that you will be able to complete your very important work after drinking that large glass of scotch you poured for yourself 🥴. 

Speaking of being disingenuous Poppin Fresh comes to mind. I don’t know if it’s acting style, condescending attitude, or my genuine dislike for the character but Poppin Fresh is as phony as pyrite in a gold mind.  In the world of business, other people’s money is used to limit your risk in an business adventure. By Olive wanting to use their own money setting up Poppin Fresh’s for a fall?  A complete and utter draining of all his funds?  Maybe, but I’m only speculating 🤔.

Ah, Victor, you're too slow. Victoria is already on the verge of convincing Ashland to fund their new business venture with their own money. What are the odds the amount she suggests they each put up will be $250M? She'd basically be getting Locke to hand over the rest of the payoff Victor gave him. It's a classic pigeon drop scheme. (Though if I were her, I'd start with a number like $750M and then pretend to let Ashland negotiate it down.)

 Phyllis obviously overplayed her reaction to Diane. But she is panicking for good reason. Unfortunately her panic is really making things easy for Diane… I’m sure it will all go Red’s way in the end once Diane’s plans are revealed, but it is aggravating to watch the Abbott men be so gullible in the meantime.

 Gotta say though, despite my distaste for Diane, the actress who plays her is beautiful and charming!

I do, too.   The guy is a joke,  but this is probably the one thing that would actually give this dopey version of the character some momentum, and really put the Newmans on the harsh receiving end of a con.  So, we know for sure it'll never happen.

Considering how the character was crafted from his beginning it makes absolutely no sense that he was pining away for mop all love-struck and remorseful. No sense whatsoever. If he's not pulling a long con then it's really piss-poor writing.

And then there's mop. For her to be pulling a secret con on Asshat is beyond stupid. Things were resolved, she was running the company which is all she ever wanted. Well that and for daddy to step down and pronounce her queen of everything Newman. Which ain't gonna happen. She had kicked Adam to the curb. She had mommy by her side. Why would she secretly go after Asshat? It says to me that she either still loves him and somehow thinks her shenanigans will show him she really loves him and turn him around or she thinks she can get some kind of love revenge on someone without feelings, which is too stupid for words especially considering she's supposedly this sharp businesswoman. Unless this is yet more piss-poor writing.

For weeks/months.  Just once I would like for someone to explain how Devon is an interesting, dynamic character.  Just once I would like to see this show (and others) bring women into the 21st century; not continuously, embarrassingly  competing for a man - usually one who doesn't deserve it. Just once I would like to be jolted/surprised by a storyline or character.

Could Noah be anymore awkward?  I guess, since TIIC are pushing Noah and Allie together, they are trying to make Allie more age appropriate, for Noah, by dressing her in a tight fitting jogging outfit than her usual little girl on the prairie outfits.  Allie is very smart, super intuitive and has an abundance of common sense. The more she talks to Noah, the more it is so obvious that she’s too smart for Noah.  Allie is a rarity in GC. She knows she’s smart and mostly everyone else thinks they’re smart. 

I like Tessa’s new hair color but not nearly as much as the dark color.  I think darker hair is more fitting her complexion. Mariah, on the other hand, the Pebbles hair due 👎👎.  Mariah, I love you but did you have to jump on the bash Diane bandwagon?  She’s Kyle’s mother and, as a friend, you should be supportive of Kyle trying to build a new relationship with his mother. 

That’s rich Banana Breath talking about that each Newman doesn’t have their own agenda like he doesn’t have one. His agenda is as big as the rest of the family. Please, tell me why Banana Breath even thinks he could be a capable executive. At the first sign of conflict, he runs away.  I thought for awhile Banana Breath has curtailed being pompous but like Rodan, he can’t change his spots. It looks like Noah has inherited being a pompous ass from his father in passing judgement on Diane that her has no first hand knowledge of her past.  What Noah knows first hand is Rodan’s propensity for chaos, but he seems to tolerate her. 

The way the monkeys with a keyboard is absolutely disgusting.  Harrison goes to the duck pond and nobody is in very close proximity and today Harrison is on the playground hardly being supervised.  At least Christian is in the attack, chained to his bed, so he doesn’t need to be supervised 🙄. 

Jack calling out Rodan is a thing of beauty.  His talking points were spot on. Watching Rodan’s counter arguments only made me think that if Rodan sat on her hands, could she speak?  

No surprise that Tessa has vocal cord nodules. Can go away on their own with therapy but if surgery is needed, Tessa need not fret. I’m quite sure that fantastic surgeon, Elana, will fix Tessa’s vocal cords. All in all, even with nodules, Tessa can still sing because there are really no high highs or low lows in her vocal range.

I'm glad Jack didn't fall for the usual self-righteous crap from Phyllis.  And FFS, no means no- he says multiple times he's not interested, so by all means start pouring the alcohol.  

That aside...what Jack said was true, but I wish he didn't even go that route.  He told her at the start he didn't want to be hurt again, and she went ahead and did it, demanding immediate forgiveness no less. That's absolute "fuck off and don't talk to me again" territory, and that's all she needs to know.

The sequined thing didn't bother me. I think they are desensitizing me to their early morning/midday wearing of holiday satin and sequins evening wear. What I didn't like was paining it with a white ribbed tee.
