Nick, don't get it twisted. Sally said yes to dinner because she's trying to keep her job. You both know what's going on, especially given the way you lowkey leer at her.

A terrible mistake, Victoria? Ya think?

Diane stays finding random excuses to drop by Abbott Manor whenever she wants, all hours of day and night, sometimes more than once a day. Yeesh.

Lol, and again Adam left Crimson Lights without ordering anything. He is so flighty now. But what's he up to with Chelsea?

All these double entendres in the conversation between Sally and Nick. Bleh. AFAIC the writers are trying too hard to make them seem like a viable couple. I'm sadly losing any sympathy or respect I had for Sally. Even if she's playing Nick, he can still turn on a dime and fire her. Then what?

How was Adam making Chelsea look like a hero for giving up her parental rights to Johnny? Does he not know how/why Johnny was conceived? She's lucky she didn't go to prison and none of that will be great for Johnny (or Connor) to find out now.

Maybe Victoria and Billy should insist that Chelsea get examined by a psychiatrist  before they consider letting her near Johnny again. Even Adam sees how troubled Chelsea is and he can't really manage her either.

Hmm, wonder what nuTucker vs. Jack will be like? Or nuTucker vs. Phyllis? They don't really let anyone take on Victor anymore so we'll see how that goes. Perhaps it'll be nuTucker vs. Victoria. His reunion with Devon should be interesting too. While Tucker was supposedly off pursuing a spiritual quest in the wilds of Asia, Devon was said to have taken over part of Tucker's empire to protect it.

Meanwhile, what's Tucker got on Diane? Was she turning tricks for the super rich? In this age of cell phone cameras and digital media, I don't see how that could've been kept under wraps. Even a fake name wouldn't be enough if an image of Diane doing sex work exists. Perhaps that's what Nikki and Talia will discover.

Quote

How long before Chloe tells Johnny about his sister Bella, created with Billy's stolen sperm?

Chloe did steal the sperm but later it was revealed that she had also slept with Kevin around the same time. A DNA test proved Bella to be Kevin's child.

What a fake out by CBS today. They were going to preempt today so my DVR didn’t record.  By chance, I saw the last 20 minutes with the same old drama between Olive/Nostrils/Chelsea/Johnny. Did I hear them say that Johnny is now 13 years old?  So how old are the monkeys with a keyboard going to make Katie, Connor, and Christian?  Olive make up your so called mind. You want Johnny to make up his own mind about Chelsea but than says she wants to keep him away until he’s 18.

Is Banana Breath having a revenge fuck for Adam fucking Sage before he did. Or is it retaliation for fucking Sharon.

I don’t know what is going on with Diane and Tucker but I cannot see Diane as a high class escort even 10 years ago.  Diane is very attractive but young and sexy she’s not.

I was thinking the same thing, but I don't think Nick can fire Sally now for any reason. We know Nick thinks with his little Nick, consequences be damned, but he is Sally's boss and he should know better. This is reckless even for him. Forget about Summer and Phyllis' feelings (because who cares), what about the company? Victoria will definitely have something to say about it, as she should. Then, there's Victor who wanted him to fire Sally, so Nick allowing her keep her job, then sleeping with her soon after that- the optics just look bad.

AH seemed distracted or she couldn't remember her lines or something...whatever, that was really bad.  Again, Billy was the one making sense.  What's happening?!?!

Johnny being 13 actually sounds about right.  How weird about Conor living at the ranch while Adam and Chelsea both live at the Glastnost Perestroika.  Who's watching him?  Victor?  Invisible Miguel?  The cook named Cook?

Speaking of sex in vehicles, I remember Victoria getting busy with somebody in the backseat of her SUV but I can't remember who the guy was. It wasn't her husband or boyfriend. Help?

Are you sure it wasn't a boyfriend?  Because I think it might have been Stitch.

At the moment I'm pretty much discarding the possibility of Sally playing Nick, because frankly I don't think EB wants ANY of "his" kids getting one-upped by another non-Newman character.

Could be wrong, but even if she is...ugh.  Do not want any of this, it's gross either way.

I really thought it was just me and my dirty mind, but it seems some of you guys also thought they were implying Diane was in some kind of sex work.  Which is crazy, because as attractive and honestly beautiful as Diane is, she's not working as a hooker at anywhere near her age.  That's not what those filthy rich LA men are looking for.

And you know, even if she did....psst, still none of your business, Jack.

Johnny should be 10 not 13. Katie is 9 and Connor is also 9.  It’s a fact that when Chelsea burst into GC, in 2011, she was still pregnant. In addition, Connor was just born when DD was killed in 2013.

Show, I'm sorry to get serious here, but ...... we need to talk about Nick.

I know that Show thinks all it takes to make a leading man is a banana thong and opposable thumbs, but that's just not enough.  I suppose grooming is optional, though I think picking nits out of his crotch and dropping them in his bread pudding at Society is a bit much, as is tossing poop at his brother on the other side of the restaurant.  Yes, if it had hit Chelsea I'd count that as a win, but try to remember Abby has to pay her cleaning crew extra any time Nick dines at her restaurant and getting pee stains out of the corners isn't as easy as you seem to think.  To be clear, all that crotch scratching is a bit offputting to other customers, as well.

But I have to admit that the chemistry between Nick and Sally is .... absolutely non-existent.  On both sides.  I think Josh Morrow lights up around Phyllis mainly because he genuinely believes she finds a game of Pac Man and a bag of Flaming Cheetos as stimulating as he does.  Nothing on earth could convince anyone, even him, that Sally feels the same way.   Sally is doing her best to act like this all HAWT HAWT HAWT but she seems to me like someone who has finally mastered her gag reflex.

End this coupling now before more people are hurt.

My my MY!  I'll have whatever Tucker is having!  That walkabout in the Himalayas has done him a world of good.  I know this bit of casting throws chaos into story timelines but TSJ plays an evil bastard like no-one else, so I'm interested to see what happens.  Probably nothing good, if going by recent storylines.  God save us from having to watch him and Victor play a game of chess.

This whole attitude toward Diane of ‘I can forgive you IF there’s nothing in your past that could be your undoing’ is such BS. Everyone, including Jack, has done things in their past that they’re not proud of. Unless it has a direct impact on what Diane is doing RIGHT NOW, it’s none of Jack’s or anyone else’s business. And the notion that anyone outside of GC would be remotely interested in the trials and tribulation of Diane Jenkins is even more preposterous.

I saw the last scene with Diane and the new guy but how did I miss that he’s supposed to be Tucker? Did she actually say his name? As others have pointed out already, Tucker is in his 60s. TSJ is WAY too young to play him, and doesn’t have any of SN’s charm or charisma. If I’m supposed to believe that Ashley would fall for him, JG can miss me with that, Ashley wouldn’t give TSJ even a passing glance.

I'm not surprised they have de-aged Tucker to get TSJ as he plays magnificent bastards well. And it's not the first time they have done this, with Diane, in fact, when Maura West played her (Susan is almost a decade older than Maura) or Adam (Mark is 12 years younger than Michael).

@CountryGirl I know they de-aged Diane, and the show took a shit ton of heat for it. I started watching when Maura joined so I had no history and was able to enjoy her for the wonderful actress she is. But now that I see Susan in the role, I can see it was a mistake. And while Ashley certainly has gone for younger men, I just don’t see her giving TSJ the time of day. I guess I’m just not impressed with him, never was. But I’ll be happy if he proves me wrong.

Well he can certainly try to, with his stupid self. This why I really want Victor to find out because I'm confident he will realize right away what a problem Nick has created. At the end of the day the Newmans always find a way to get rid of people so they'll deal with Sally too. Hopefully with a fat payoff like the did with Ashland, only this time there'll be an NDA. Still, I don't like that Sally has essentially put a price tag on her cooch. She didn't need to do that IMO.

Are you sure it wasn't a boyfriend?  Because I think it might have been Stitch.

Yeah, I was thinking it might've been Stitch but I didn't figure they were dating yet when it happened. Otherwise, why not just go to Victoria's house or to a motel? I dunno.

But DNA tests in GC are rarely correct.

Truth. In the case of Bella though, I don't think the show wanted to give Chloe and Billy another child together specifically to replace Delia. That's kinda creepy and it wasn't healthy of Chloe to think it was possible. (And enough with the sperm-stealing already!)

There's also Chance. The actor playing him now is about ten years younger than the one who originated the role and it's quite noticeable. I think he's unintentionally making Abby look like a cougar, and Chance's history with Chelsea Chloe is no longer believable to me.

Recasting characters who have extensive histories with much younger actors is starting to look like a deliberate effort to me. If they want to keep this up I can make a few suggestions. One rhymes with "Richter." Another rhymes with "Willis." 😼

I much prefer Susan in the role (nothing against Maura, whom I enjoyed as Carly on ATWT). Susan is Diane to me, if that makes sense.

I am withholding judgment on TSJ as Tucker for now as I have enjoyed him in other roles but too soon to make that call here. I thought I would love Robert Newman as Ashland but as much as I loved his Josh on GL, he was all wrong for the part of Ashland.

I’m a card carrying member of the Maura West fan club and I’ve never even seen any of her other work. It took a special actor/actress to make chicken soup out of chicken(bleep) as often as MW did with Diane. The SLs kept getting more and more ridiculous (Victor ambulance toss comes to mind) and culminated in stupidity the likes of which we’ve never seen, yet she kept kicking butt right til the end.

I’m growing extremely annoyed about how all of the characters in and around the Sick SL have been dumbed down, which is quite a feat for some that were already near the ocean floor in intelligence. Vicboria, the supposedly brilliant CEO, doesn’t have a bigger issue with the Coooo-COOOO sleeping with a company subordinate and the possible legal issues that exposes them to? And she just allowed Meathead to hand wave her underwhelming concerns away? You know what… no more girlboss summits at Crimson Lights for her.

As for Nate and Elena, how bout that weather? I can’t watch Nate scenes anymore until he’s eventually diagnosed with that personality altering brain tumor.

Dummer and Bile? At least I know the FF button on my remote works. I know this is a fictional show, but imagine if the livelihoods of actual human beings were tied to those two dopes running a major company?

Ashley has no standards. She’s repeatedly hit the coffin liner with the mumbling undead. Tucker certainly isn’t all that, but he’s a huge step up from Victor.

I know the show sees Nick as some kind of romantic lead and probably saw that Sally was somewhat popular, and, well, here we are. Sally has been demeaned by this storyline, Nick seems skeevier than normal, and a hot pairing (Adam & Sally) has been replaced by a really gross, extremely inappropriate workplace “romance” with a glaring power imbalance. If they need a relationship-oriented story for Nick, may I suggest that he discover the irresistible charms of his hand? It could segue into an addiction storyline, with Nick literally unable to let go when his fingers cramp from overuse.

I was so disappointed in today's show. I have been hoping this would turn into a "me too" storyline with a sexual harassment lawsuit, but that is not how it is being portrayed. I don't think Sally is in love but she enjoys Nick. The end scene with him showing up for a booty call disgusted me. (where IS Christian? Nick cares more about little Nick than his little son) Are we the viewers supposed to think this is romantic?

I was doubly disappointed that Victoria didn't rake Nick over the coals. Sheesh, all of the posters here could write so much better for this show.

THIS.  Talk about skeeve!  The acting choices JM makes are simply awful.  The guy swaggers and saunters around like he’s a dog with a bone and the king of secretive romance.  Ugh!  He thinks he’s portraying Nick as being a smooth operator but, in my eyes, he looks ridiculous.

I loved Sally with Adam, and couldn’t believe how they complimented one another in so many ways.  I never expected it but I really thought the writers got it right, for once.  Then…BAM.  The writers blew it up.  You’re right, Sally has been “demeaned” and I’m ALMOST to the point of not caring anymore.  The FF button is becoming my friend.

I'll be honest, I've had to stop watching this show on account of this. It was bad enough already, and with the way JG treats BIPOC characters but this Nick/Sally storyline quite literally makes me sick. I cannot watch or fathom how terribly he writes for women on this show. Either we're all conniving, mean girl bitches or thirsty,  d*ck starved  and desperate for whoever will give us attention. Enough is enough. JG needs to be fired. I can't stomach this putrid show.

There was something that Lily said the other day, by not being a long long time viewer, that is Malcom is her father. Devon’s father, which I knew, is Tucker. That would mean that Neil’s only biological child is Moses.  So can you  please let me know how Neil came to adopt both Devon and Lily?

I wouldn’t imagine that Banana Breath gives 💩💩 about being the “rebound guy”.  Banana Breath’s middle name is “rebound guy”. Banana Breath only cares about dipping his “stick” where and whenever he can.  Banana Breath is the constant violator of the 7th and 10th Commandment.  Adultery and coveting.

Sally says she refuses to let Adam break her heart again so hopefully Sally and Banana Breath are nothing more than fuck buddies since Banana Breath is a heart breaker in his own right.  I do believe Adam is right because Sally is using Banana Breath to get over Adam and is talking herself into why he’s such a great guy. Wasn’t that Sally’s description of Jack when she was talking herself into a relationship with Jack.

Come on monkeys with a keyboard, can we please go back to Sally and Adam 🔥🔥🔥.  Sally and Banana Breath have the chemistry of a black hole and a ray of light.  Do I have to start calling Sally Chiquita 2.0?  No because Sally is nowhere as bad a person as Chelsea, the original Chiquita.

Today was a disappoint because I really wanted to find out what Tucker expect from Diane. Instead we got all this boring relationship crap.

Adam, you're right about Sally and Nick but what does that knowledge gain you?

Wait, what? Did I hear Sally describe her um, intimate activities with Nick as "mind-blowing"? Either she has a poor vocabulary or she has a fairly limited history in that sort of thing because no way is Nick Newman some kind of expert swordsman in the boudoir. It's not possible. 🤮🤮🤮

Nick knows he's Sally's consolation prize. Does he have no self-respect or is besting Adam the main attraction for him? This little "ya hate me 'cause ya ain't me" attitude he keeps throwing at Adam is disturbing to me.

Elena, stop wasting your time trying to reason with that wannabe egomaniac. Nate now only wants a cheerleader who'll applaud his every move, even the shady ones.

Watching Kyle and Summer acting all schmoopy over their what, second or third wedding darn near puts me to sleep. They are so not Marriage Goals.

Adam: you never gave Sally a second thought, Nick, until you became her boss. Now you're all up on her: in her office, in her hotel suite, at Society. Tell me I'm lying.
Nick: not everything is about you, Adam. Sally and I simply need to have meetings.
Adam: riiiight. Meetings are where you come together to pursue common goals. What would
your goals be, Nick, other than trashing me?
Nick: heh, Sally and I, we just like coming together if you catch my drift.
Adam: I will destroy you.
Nick: <snicker>

I didn't see Elena leave her keys to the penthouse when she left. Hmmm.

After the no good, very bad day she's had, Victoria went back to the office. Weird priorities. I'm thinking she should be at home researching child psychologists or family counselors.

Ehh, Sally your Nice Guy barometer is malfunctioning. Nick is not one, he just manages to do a decent imitation for short periods of time. You're going to end up wishing you were back in LA trying to deal with the Spencer men again.

But Nick, what if Sally decides she's tired of being your dirty little secret and wants to go public? Regrets. You'll have a few.

Hey, it's Harrison! He looked like he's been getting plenty of sun.

Ew, Victoria unspooled her tongue and gave Nate quite a bath with it. He's definitely going to end up as the Newmans' stooge behind this insider trading thing, isn't he? Oh well. 🙄

Malcolm slept with his brother's wife when she was knocked out on cold meds; I don't think Dru told him she was pregnant and everyone assumed Lily was Neil's baby though Dru had her suspicions that Malcolm was the father. Neil was on her birth certificate and raised her.

I don't think Tucker was aware of the pregnancy.

I doubt they were writing this intentionally, because there's no way a Victor Newman spawn is going to get a critical deconstruction, but that office scene with Adam is a perfect example of why Nick isn't a "nice guy".

He's ostensibly pleasant until he feels like he's owed something, and then it's obvious what an asshole he really is.  Even if he insists on a  "relationship" or whatever this is with Sally, how easy it would have been to just tell Adam that he didn't do it to hurt him and he can understood why he's upset.

But no.  He's an entitled, hurtful prick like the rest of his cult family.

Yep. Yep yep yep yep yep.

He's always nice until it doesn't suit his purpose anymore.  He's treated Sharon like absolute shit more times than I can remember and he wasn't much nicer to Phyllis.  As much as I can't stand Phyllis, there were times when even she didn't deserve the petty and cruel ways he turned on her.  As for Sharon, every time he's broken up with her, he's turned on her with a vengeance.  I remember the absolute glee he took in denying Sharon access to Christian once he discovered the kid was his.  Even though Christian wasn't his, was Adam's.  He also doctored Summer's paternity because he was afraid Jack's swimmer's were faster than his - and Jack was his much loved stepfather.  He gaslighted his sister, his mother, Sharon, with the whole mask debacle, and those things are merely the tip of the iceberg.

Nick is only "nice" in comparison to the troglydyte family he belongs to, and even that doesn't hold up under even a dim light.

I take it that Nick is struggling to walk in suit pants because he thinks he's just too manly to be working in an office, but I'm sure it's really because he still hasn't figured out how to zip up without catching his favorite hand puppet in the zipper, as well as his status as Wisconsin's first human State Crab Refuge.

Nick is only "nice" in comparison to the troglydyte family he belongs to, and even that doesn't hold up under even a dim light.

It sure doesnt. He is a Neanderthal.  I just look at him and "dumb" is the first word that pops into my head, followed by arrogant, sanctimonious and horny.

Mulva is not my Diane.

Heh, I never get tired of seeing this reference. The ending of that episode was one of the most brilliant payoffs on a comedy TV show ever.

Quote

Malcolm slept with his brother's wife when she was knocked out on cold meds; I don't think Dru told him she was pregnant and everyone assumed Lily was Neil's baby though Dru had her suspicions that Malcolm was the father. Neil was on her birth certificate and raised her.

Yes and it went even deeper IRL. At the time the Winters extended family was considered the premier group of Black characters on soaps by Black viewers. The Y&R actors appreciated the significance of their status and didn't think it was a good look for one of the Winters characters to have a child as the result of sexual assault by her BIL. They went to Bill Bell and asked him to drop the storyline and he did. From that point on Lily was considered Neil's daughter and it was never questioned or brought up again. That is until Bill Bell died. Then almost immediately Malcolm was brought back and Lily learned he was her father (as well as the bad circumstances of her conception). Since Neil had raised her and was the only father she'd ever known, Lily and he decided to continue regarding each other as father and daughter. AFAIC, reopening the Malcolm issue was pointless and also disrespectful to Bill Bell's memory.

Roger Hogarth

Hmm, Roger Howarth on Y&R. Oh I dunno, I think maybe EB would feel very threatened by that. He hasn't done well with actors who had a large presence on other soaps, especially the cancelled ones. You can't get much bigger than Todd Manning.

Plus, Roger is only a few years older than TSJ. Maybe they could create a new character for him and put that guy with Phyllis or Chelsea.

OMG! Phyllis' dress...so inappropriate in style and the color! There is an acrylic wrap (instead of paint) for cars, just like that, called Satin Flip Psychedelic, too funny. Victor was quite nostalgic and pleasant chatting with Jack a few weeks ago, today's refusal to attend an "Abbott" function seemed petty in light of that.

OMG: That cheap holographic wrapping paper rainbow gown that Phyllis was wearing today. And I swear I saw her nether regions when she was walking. That gown was an all time low.

NuTucker is very different from the old Tucker...already seems like a real bastard.

Harrison sure was hamming it up today, lol. But he seriously needs a haircut.

Ummmm.....Audra   Wow, she seems to be quite aggressive .  And learning in the previews that she is Noah's ex! Funny that she thought GC is boring. Look up boring in the dictionary and Noah's picture is right there.

Editing to add: it looks like Julyolo and I were posting at the same time and had nearly identical thoughts on Phyllis gown.

Diane looking fierce! Her low-level Marchetti job must pay well for her to be able to afford that dress.

Yet again, it's a scary day when Nick is the voice of reason. But Victor and Victoria were like, "Feds, schmeds. We do crimes all day every day. We're the Newmans!"

Something about Audra seems a bit too smarmy to me. And what was she doing pushing up on Nate before she even knew whether he was single or not?

I don't get Elena's loyalty to Nate. Now that they've separated IMO there's no reason for her not to give Devon or Lily a heads-up on Nate's scheme to take over C-W.

Well Nate, technically you aren't in a relationship. You and Elena are on a break, remember? Sounds like he might be a little scared of Audra, hah hah.

Is it me or was the B&B and Y&R crossover kind of weak? It doesn't seem like it moved anything forward on B&B and on Y&R all Nikki got was a photo of a fancy car Diane's been seen in. Yawn.

Ugh, Phyllis' dress was a bad joke. I guess no one would tell her what the wedding's color scheme was so she decided to wear all of them. Bad form of her to try to upstage the bride in a loud outfit.

Oh Lily, boy are you going feel foolish when you find out what Nate is pulling against you and Devon. You truly have blinders on. If you're lucky Devon will be suspicious enough to figure it out, or your legal team will advise you not to let the key shareholders sell their stock immediately.

Nikki's dress was a nice bright color but an iffy design to me. I thought Victoria looked like she had wrapped a bolt of fabric around her bony body and stapled it together. 😼

Looks like Tucker is going after the Abbotts--or Jabot--and Diane was the one-person advance team. Okay, I'm interested. 😏

Oy, Summer's dress. Yeah, that's a Forrester creation all right. Stuporgirl looked to me like she's going to be a seat-filler at an LA awards show. Yikes.

No Ashley, no Abby and Chance, no Lily or Devon or Nate, no Victor or Adam, no Sharon. This wedding redux almost seems like an afterthought since so many key cast members won't be included. Kind of a sad way to kick off YR's 50th anniversary year, I think.

Re next week's previews: Audra is Noah's ex? I can't see that at all. She would've eaten emo boy Noah alive. But hey, is Tucker arriving at the Abbotts' in a helicopter? Way to make an entrance, lol.

How can this guy be Tucker?  He’s too freaking young.  He was married to Jill, for heaven’s sake.  And he looks too young to be with Diane.  But there has to be some huge reason to pull him into the story, like maybe he’s Kyle’s daddy?

SN and WR are 71, while Nu Tucker is 51.  This doesn’t compute

Re: This Tucker is going to be a real loser.

Phyllis was a nasty looking MOB-those boobs were hanging low and that hair!

Diane’s hair could have used some work but the dress was lovely on her and well fitted.

That was a tiny, sad and lonely vow renewal. What, exactly, was the point of that silly event?

For heaven’s sake- cut that child’s hair!!!

Can someone please tell me Rodan is wearing wrapping paper?  Can someone please tell me why her tits need to be front and center at the vow renewal?  It looks like Rodan would glow under black light in that dress.  You are so very right Banana Breath. Summer 2.0 is more like her mother than her father, but I don’t think that it’s a complement.

Doesn’t CL sell Egg Claires?  Sharon is going to be mad that Mrs Martinez bought them someplace else.

I don’t understand why Tucker wants to reveal himself to the Abbotts?  Ashley was his wife for a short time but doesn’t Tucker have more interactions with the Chancellors and the Winters?

What ever happened to Rodan redecorating Abbott Manner with Marchetti Home?

Now this IPO is really getting stupid. Lily went to CW’s legal department to get clarification on regulations for the IPO. First isn’t that Audra’s job and second what would CW’s legal department know about IPO regulations?  They definitely can’t be experts in that area of law. If Audra was worth her salt, she would have a law firm who specializes in IPO’s on speed dial.

WTF?  Did I hear Banana Breath correctly when he said Summer 2.0 was head designer of her own fashion house?  I thought Summer 2.0 was the creative director.

Talk about insinuating your self, Rodan is the insinuater in chief.  Nikki Nikki Nikki, please tell me of how a picture of a Bentley proves that Diane is a lier?  As I said before, it could be her bosses car.  But it seems it was Tucker’s car. Wouldn’t Tucker be a very powerful ally for Diane?  Why would Diane want to distance herself from Tucker. I’m sure Tucker can eat Nikki’s and Rodan’s lunch.  How contrived that Deacon just happened to see Diane a few times and she just happened to be in a Bentley.  Also, Deacon just happened to take a picture of the Bentley and for what reason?  Did Deacon have a crystal ball knowing that Nikki would show up on day?

Summer 2.0 dress was ugly on the mannequin and it’s even uglier on Summer 2.0.  The color and the material is wrong and not very flattering for Summer 2.0’s figure.
