Why is Lois's accent or lack thereof still a thing?

Really liked the Robert/Sasha scenes and Maxie's reactions to Holly were A+!

And the Tracy/Laura scenes were absolute gold!

I really enjoyed the Tracy/Laura scenes.  Way to honour the show's history and write it well, and have two good actresses play it.

I also liked Sasha going to Robert's office to ask for a DNA test. She's got twice the brains and morality of Holly.

Maxie spoke for me today. KSt is looking good.

I'm glad to know that Laura has a nanny for Ace.

I hated the Davis coven scene. Both Molly and Kristina are awful now. The fighting appeals to the lowest feeling of the viewers. End this story now.

I'm going to miss Violet. They should have kept her on the show and trot her out once ever four months or so. With Charlotte off screen, Scout is the only girl in the coming age group. Brook Lynn's baby will need to be SORASed a lot to date Rocco or Danny. I'll look for the actress on Will Trent.

They really don't know what to do with Gio.  Or Lois for that matter. Both of them could lift out and nothing would change.

Yeah, I've never quite seen her do quiet contempt like that before. It felt like she was only holding back because Felicia was there.

And once Sam is gone, those two will be all that's left of the Davis Coven. Aaargh.

Also, it may be premature and very impractical to think this, but I'm dreaming of Dr. Isaiah Gannon as GH's future Chief of Staff.  I'm sure the ladies out there will love it, and he and Jordan (who has suddenly become both attractive and interesting to me) will become PC's next Power Couple.

Maxie looked great today. Plus she was fun speaking for the audience.

I enjoyed the Sasha Robert scenes but hope Robert isn’t going to be just quietly bemused with Holly

I will always love Lucky and Liz in scenes together but I think she’s too friendly with him too fast. And I need more Lucky and Aiden. Also I know I won’t get it but it was weird them talking about how he wasn’t there when Aiden was Ace’s age without acknowledging that he was for cam and probably still Jake. How old was Jake when he “died”?

Also the mention of Jailhouse rock just made me sad for Taggert all over again

I would prefer Isaiah with Lucas over Jordan. She’s so dull and it is about time GH had a bisexual character.

Get moving on the paternity reveal with Gio or stop having Lois look suss about it.

I'm confused.  Wasn't Liz babysitting Ace at the beginning of the episode? They show him playing, then later, Liz says to Lucky, "I'm off to work, want a ride?", and they leave?

She came over to watch Ace until the Nanny arrived. Once unseen Nanny did, she left to go to work and offered to drop off Lucky wherever he was going.

I liked Maxie telling Felicia she appreciates her even though she did leave her for a while.

Any bets on if Sam dies during the transplant, in the recovery room, or after she gets out of the hospital and is just walking around and keels over because someone left a sponge in her?

I don’t think Robert is actually Sasha’s father. I think this is just another way for Holly to try and insinuate herself into Robert’s life. It’s a dumb move that is beneath Holly’s character, but it will allow the audience to breathe a big sigh of relief for the lovebirds Sasha and Cody when the truth is revealed, so I guess there’s that.

I hate the practice of retconning every character into some forced familial relationship, but I actually don’t hate the idea of Sasha as the con-artist acorn to Holly’s fraudulent oak tree. Anything to put a little pizazz into what has been a very bland character.

I do hate how two-dimensional Molly and Kristina have become. Kristina, who was once written as bold and independent, is now an impulsive trainwreck in constant need of supervision. Molly, once an intelligent, empathetic advocate of justice, is now locked into I-hate-Kristina mode. Neither character is remotely likeable at this point. Can they both just die along with Sam? Alexis would be sad, but she’d be better off in the long run.

I did hate Molly and Kristina arguing when attention should have been on Sam and her surgery. Hopefully Sam’s death shakes them out of their hate spiral for each other

I was surprised at how quickly Sasha revealed to Robert that he might be her father and how quickly he scheduled the paternity test. Soaps usually draw these things out

I feel like they’ve pretty much erased Lucky as a father figure to Cam and Jake (except for Grandma Laura.) When Elizabeth was talking about Aiden’s interest in music, I was like, “Hello! Cameron!” It’s a shame WL and NAC aren’t around to work with JJ. The rest of the young cast is a personality void because there are so many legacy characters in the same age range, they’ve received zero development.

My unintentional comedy gold moment of yesterday was Elizabeth tut-tutting that Lucky didn't have a car yet and he replied he was 'working on it.'  He's literally been back in town less than a week, girl, give him time.

LA's Kristina was bisexual. Once KM's Kristina was in a relationship with Blaze, she identified herself as gay in a confrontation with Natalia. I think the Show needs to clarify. Did Kristina decide she was gay because Blaze identifies herself as gay and she thought they were in love? Or is she actually bisexual?

There would be more storyline possibilities if either, or both, the Kristina and Aiden characters are bisexual. I want to see a lot of storylines for the great grandson of Dr. Steve Hardy/ grandson of Luke and Laura Spencer.

I thought the same. I guess Aiden's interest in music isn't necessarily a retcon of his childhood, but the audience knows Cam is the child of Elizabeth's who has a history of singing and playing guitar. Also, Cameron deserves to confront Lucky over his abandonment. I really hope WL is available for Cam to come home for Thanksgiving or Christmas, so he and JJ can have at least one scene together. The audience should know what the status is between Lucky and young adult Cam. Does Cam want nothing to do with him?

Maybe someone tempers with her machines like they did Lulu's.

I felt bad for NLG yesterday. Those were her last scenes with KeMo and when she said I love you so much, it felt like it was to Kelly she was saying that. This upheaval with her onscreen family has to have been difficult for her.

Why was it a thing in the first place? Lois had had great success on Hearth and Home before Tracy got the bee in her bonnet about the accent, so it was stupid from the get-go. And I'm really tired of Tracy being such a class snob about everything. The show is leaning so hard on that, and it's gross.

I've only been half-watching lately due to the MLB Playoff and work, but my guess is Sam's death will mark the return of Sidwell looking for revenge by killing the people closest to Jason and Lucky (see Lulu's respirator failure which happened on a day I wasn't watching). Isaiah and Lucas are probably spot on in suspecting foul play but are oddly reluctant to go to the feds.

My take is Sam's murder sets off a Sonny/Jason vs Sidwell war where Sonny disposes of the bad guy (via Jasus) and gets his Saint/Hero status restored (not like it ever went anywhere).

Cyrus was with Lulu before her respirator failed. Some of speculated he turned it off.

Cyrus is a red herring. I would be genuinely shocked if he had anything to do with the respirator failing. It's more likely it's some Sidwell minion, though trying to kill a comatose patient is weak sauce. At least aim for someone who's upright!

Sam getting bumped off by Sidwell is more logical, but she hasn't been connected to Jason (or Lucky, for that matter) for years, so again, on the lame side. But since Jason doesn't have that many people in his life, and the show will never put Carly or Sonny in any grave danger, I guess Sam it is.

There's something odd about Robert's response to Sasha telling him that he might be her father.  Especially because it came out of the blue, it felt like an underreaction that equated hiding the fact of a child with any other of Holly's scams.

So I'm gonna throw something out there, that will probably not be true, but I would like the situation better if it was:  What if Holly has been involved with Sidwell before, and he is Sasha's father?  Holly is afraid for what that might mean for Sasha, so she names a different father, who just happens to be ex-WSB and able to get a paternity test run through their labs, where he can cull a favor, or even collaborate with Brennan on a plan to take Sidwell down.

Loved the note of reconciliation between Felicia and Maxie, especially after having rewatched Georgie's funeral some weeks back.  Loved the grace notes between Laura and Tracy, and Liz and Lucky.  Finally, the show is using its history to some advantage.

Re: the impending loss of Sam and the dilemma of what will happen to the kids----I feel like the kids get short shrift on this show, in that they move with their parents like luggage, without any acknowledgement of their relationships with one another.  To place Scout with Drew, and Danny with Jason, while leaving Rocco with Dante will be to disrupt a supportive sibling relationship while the kids are all mourning the loss of their mother and functional stepmother.  I hope it won't happen, but I think it will.

I didn't watch GL, but on reddit people were saying that JAMMY (Jonathan/Tammy - whose mother was Cassie aka Carly for us). was a massive thing. and they were first cousins and they even got married and I think there was a baby or something before Tammy died. but like Jonathan slept with Tammy KNOWING they were cousins because he wanted to hurt his mother who gave him up as a kid. but then they had a real love story.  (their love scenes were on fire.  - and not in the damnation sense teeheee). So......yeah. Sasha being all"I'm not gonna let anyone take Cody from me." might lead to that.

I don’t think it is great for Danny but Jason has never really parented and that could be interesting him being confronted with that.  But yes Danny would be better off with Dante.

I’m sure Scout will go to Drew.  That wouldn’t have felt wrong to me with Billy Miller’s Drew.  Cameron Matthison just doesn’t have that warmth for me.

CM's Drew has deliberately put his daughter second to other people—Carly!—more than once. I hope Scout treats him terribly for a long time for his neglect.

Nikolas came back to town after Spencer "died" and he gave Ace to Laura as he was sent to prison. He terminated his parental rights which allowed Laura and Kevin to adopt Ace.

If Nikolas had not kidnapped Ace in the first place, maybe Spencer would be alive, Ace would still have his mother Esme, we would never had this cobalt poisoning story with Heather, Sasha would not be Holly's daughter with Robert...and every other silly story currently on GH.

Doubtful. With the actor playing Spencer leaving, the show would have found another way to “kill” him off.

Interesting take.  It would give Brennan something to do - and he actually seems to like working with Anna and Jason.

As for the "daddy switch," it kind of reminds me of when Rae Cummings passed Skye Chandler off as Alan Quartermaine's daughter so she would have a respectable father.

Billy Miller’s Drew was so much better.  Amazon Prime is currently continually rerunning S56 episodes primarily form 2018.  With Billy as Drew during the Oscar brain tumor storyline.  The contrast is even more obvious watching Miller vs. Matheson back to back.

Very unpopular opinion: I wish Lulu would never wake up. The character has been off canvas for too long, the liver donation to someone in a coma for so long is ridiculous and the emotional turmoil felt by Laura, Kevin, Lucky, Tracy, Dante, etc. would be much more worthwhile than the Molly/Kristina “it’s all about ME” crap.

Especially if her death would’ve happened from her vent malfunctioning/being turned off.

I don't feel strongly enough about the character to want her back, but I find it particularly crappy storytelling to tie her miraculously waking up to getting a liver donation.  I'm old enough to remember when Patrick operated on Michael after a year in a coma (at the clinic that Jax found!).  Like, I'd prefer something like that to having Sam die donating to a comatose patient.

I still think transplants, even live donor ones, have to clear an ethics board.  Whether resources will be used to operate on someone who is comatose.

But then Larry Hagman got a liver, despite being an alcoholic.  Steve Jobs (pancreatic cancer) also got a liver transplant, after moving to a different state with a shorter wait list.  Being rich helps.

I like the character of Lulu but agree that she really isn't needed other than to fill out the almost non-existent Spencer family. (And no matter what Carly calls herself, she doesn't really count.)

Of course, if Cody and Sasha are cousins, what are the odds we may be headed to a Cody/Lulu/Dante triangle?

Eta: not that this triangle might not be watchable but the late 20s to early 40s age group is really stagnant on GH.

My favorite thing about this whole Sasha thing is that she pointed out that the GH lab is not the  most accurate place in the world.  However, if I were Robert I would have at least asked her when her birthday was.  Or if I were Sasha I would have told him my birthday and asked if he thought it was a possibility?  I mean, "Oh, I hadn't seen Holly in 18 months at that point" would have given them a little hint that he's not the father.

Why was Lucky acting like he's never met Aiden?  Didn't Aiden go visit in Ireland a couple of years ago?  I'm not saying Lucky's the most involved father in the world, but you'd think his love of music may have come up then.

And did Chase and Brook only get like one hour's notice that Violet's moving to Seattle?  Because it seemed like Tracy had to come home right NOW or would miss out completely on saying good-bye.  That seems a bit insane.  Violet giving Chase her stuffed animals for a possible future cousin was the absolute sweeetest thing ever.

Kristina and Molly could have stowed their differences for 5 minutes.  They're going to feel pretty bad if that ends up being their very last exchange with Sam. And Kristina accusing her of turning her back on both of them if she wasn't going to pick sides was ridiculous.  Had I been Sam, after that I would have immediately picked Molly's side just because.

Why is Ric defending Ava?  And it was weird seeing him being so hostile to Kristina.  I remember when she was a kid and she called him Daddy Ric and I remember him getting pissed at Anthony Zacchara for using her to threaten Alexis.  But, that aside, Molly clearly wants Ava in prison.  Why would he do this unless he's planning on tanking the case? Which is a huge ethical violation (though one I wouldn't put past Ric). But, seeing as how he did that whole set up to make Kristina look bad, I don't know that's the case.

I haven't really understood what's going on with this whole thing.  (as I said, 8 month break).  Lulu's been in a coma forever. Because of an explosion, IIRC. Is the liver supposed to wake her up?  Because I don't see how.  Granted I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, but still doesn't make sense to me.

That said, Lulu would definitely (in real life, not GH land) not be on the general donor registry.  But, as a person just choosing to donate, you can donate to whomever you want, no matter the chances of survival.  Whether or not a hospital would want to take that risk (and obviously a live donor is more of a risk because you can't hurt a dead donor) is another story.

And off topic, I don't know anything about Larry Hagman, but I think even if you got the liver damage from drinking, if you haven't had a drink in over a year (?) then you are eligible to be on the registry.

But, unfortunately, yes, money helps with everything.  Which also makes Lulu's situation somewhat realistic, as she probably has Tracy's backing.

Just for funsies I decided to look up to see what percentage of people who are in a coma for over a year wake up.  I couldn't find that and didn't feel like turning this into a long-term research project, so I had to settle for in a coma over a month.   That's only 15%.  I imagine over a year is less.  So far on this show we already have Michael and Nina waking up after long-term.  I also wanted to look up if there were any others and AI had this hilarious informative info:

Kristina Corinthos-Davis caused Ava to fall through a hotel window and into a pool, putting Ava in a coma. Kristina is facing criminal charges for her actions.

Gives me hope that we will need HI for at least a little longer.
