My husband fathered a child as a teen, which he told me about when we were dating. If he had withheld the name of someone in our social circle it would have been emotionally devastating. It's just different. That's your spouse putting the other party's privacy above your intimate relationship. 

Right now Cody and Lois know the truth. And we know what a big mouth Cody has. And there is a real lie out there, that Dante and Brook Lynn were childhood friends only. And if they had dated a little it was no big deal because they never slept together. Lulu will be hurt too. But I expect Chase to be devastated. If he isn't, are we sure he's not a fully functioning android, programmed to be the perfect man? 🙂

A pregnancy is 40 weeks long. I was induced at 39 weeks.

I think Chase being accepting of BLQ's pregnancy and showing her understanding will go to shits once he finds out that the father is Dante. It's one thing to know that your wife was pregnant by another and another knowing that your wife got pregnant by your friend and co-worker and someone who lives under the same roof as you. And what more is that their child actually lives there too.

But that’s 100% on Lois. BLQ has absolutely no idea Gio is her son. I just hope Lois catches hEll from EVERYONE in that house including her daughter and grandson. I don't mind the secret child trope because it keeps soaps populated without the drawn out process of being born onscreen and eventual SORAS-ing. I'll even grant that BLQ being offscreen for long periods of time makes her a prime candidate. But Gio doesn't broaden the canvas, he's just a link in the closed Q/Corinthii ecosystem. Everyone already loves him. The lies are the only drama for Lois, Chase, Dante and Lulu. Now  everyone will be mad at Lois but so what? She can always go back to Bensonhurst and life goes on. 

Imagine instead if BLQ's kid was Esme with an unknown kid at camp the father. That would be more dramatic and open up the canvas for another family to be introduced. (And Dante and Lois could still be complicit, if he went along with the lie he was the father.) On the minus side, Ace would be BLQ's grandchild. Of course, we don't need a Nina/Wiley repeat and there are some other drawbacks but this regime's  incestuous-ness gives B&B a run for its money. (Hey, Kai is the right age too, though that might be too much for today's show.)

It's probably too late for GH though. I've been complaining about this since Carly's father was dead-end Corbin Bernson and not the wastrel scion of a Kennedy-esque clan who liked to go to Florida for drugs and under-age girls. Sigh.

Among the people who should be angry at Lois is Gio himself. Here he's been thinking that he is an orphan with his mother dead and not knowing who his father is, a sad and lonely place to be. But in reality he's got a living mother and father, two grandmothers, two grandfathers and a great grandmother, two half siblings and various aunts and uncles, all of whom he knows and who are fond of him (except for step sister Charlotte).

If Chase is so obsessed with being biologically related to Brook Lynne's new baby, he should ask Finn to be the sperm donor. I hear he produces acceptable children.

So I got Rocco as his half-sibling. Who in the hell is the other one? I've been scratching my head at this for the past 2 minutes.

I do think it's funny that since Sonny's sperm factory refuses to be put out of business, Donna and Avery are his aunts and more than half his age.

Maybe they mistakenly included Charlotte who is most definitely not Dante's child so not a half sibling.

I was thinking of Charlotte as a half-sibling even though she isn't related by blood. This show plays fast and loose with who is a blood offspring and who is an offspring because raised (e.g. Sonny and Michael). Kristina definitely thinks of Michael as her sibling even while it wouldn't bother Joss to disown her.

Whatever happened to DVX? The "evil" spy counterpoint to the "good" WSB? Last I heard, they had recruited Ryan Chamberlain for...evildoing, and secretly handed him over to Kevin when he - Ryan - went catatonic. But that was like 10 years ago, right?

This is your fault, you know. One of you mentioned Alias and now I'm wondering if DVX was subsumed into the WSB - which after all has terrible hiring standards and that's not even a shot at Joss! Mostly - and Brennan is one of them and he wants Joss not for her innate super-spy skills, but as a tool for, um, evil stuff, probably involving Jason. Maybe Emma gets secretly recruited by the "good" WSB - like by Frisco himself and Emma and Joss do a Spy vs. Spy: College Girls Edition thing for a while until Emma becomes Vartan and Joss becomes Sydney and they fall in love!

Could this show use a spot of SD-6/Hydra/Section 31 shenanigans? It can't be dumber than mob shenanigans.

Or maybe I need more sleep.

Wasn't Victor the head of the DVX at the same time he was running the WSB? That's how the show lazily brings in the DVX without having to make any effort.

The gloves, the searching techniques, they can be taught. Brennan and the WSB now know Joss will kill if properly motivated. 

I do think Eden handled the aftermath pretty well, all things considered.

I think that's everyone, though, honestly. Killing in self-defense is different than killing because someone is going to detonate a bomb, for example, and if I were Brennan, that's what I'd want to know my agents could do. I'd want to know they can make the difficult choices when necessary, especially when the morality gets more complicated.

All that aside, good luck to Brennan trying to train the Carlyness out of Joss.

I have tried very hard to accept this new Brennan as a suave international super spy, and I just can’t.  At first, I had him pegged as the owner of a moderately successful car dealership. Then, when I heard he was from a plumbing family, that opened up another plausible profession. If we hadn’t already met Jack Brennan, maybe I could buy it. But we did, and I can’t. Carly should be weeping over the downgrade.

Things I can’t buy #2: La Femme Joss. Unless WSB qualifications now include impulsiveness, inability to consider consequences, and absolute conviction that you’re always right, no matter what. Hey, maybe Lulu should apply! She clearly has the right temperament, and it would be a shame to let all those Girl Detective investigative skillz go to waste.

The Marty-Laura scene was great. Kudos for the real tear(s) and looking sick as he took in what Laura told him. I understand the Sonny-Laura moment of reflection on Luke because Lucky just became stable after saving Elizabeth, but his line about being a hero like Luke made me roll my eyes. When exactly did Luke save someone from being murdered by a serial killer? On an unrelated note, GF really looks stunning in jewel tones.

Did MW put in extensions or did I miss that her hair has grown a lot?

Kai's friend doesn't like Trina (apparently that is his whole function on the show) -- the writers are desperately trying to make this story interesting. It's not working for me.

Chase talking to Dante about Jason maybe killing Cyrus -- so weird that all 3 of them live in the same house.

Does Joss still attend PCU? She seems to spend all her time working in Bobby's. Someone should tell her and Carly about the research that working more than 10 hours a week affects your grades. And Carly should either hire more staff or get her own butt down there.

Brennan really is a massive fail as a super spy, worse even then Valentin. Maybe it started when he fell for Carly and suddenly everything became about her.

Ugh, Trina, you're allowed to be happy even if Joss is feeling sad. Ava is such a good friend to Trina. Much better than Joss ever has been.

Why would Gio's music program go to Chicago to hear the orchestra when they could probably hear them in NYC? Not to mention the NY Philharmonic is already in NYC. I don't get why Gio gave Lois the money, but I also don't care.

Martin, just because Cyrus is a killer doesn't mean Jason should have confronted him at Charlie's. The moral relativism the show indulges in is so aggravating.

That was some very unfortunate scheduling. If whatever caused JJ to take off for a few days had happened just a few days later, he could have had the big scenes with Becky and JK, and the sub could have laid in the hospital bed. (Hell, they could have just used a male version of wig-on-a-stick.) I’m assuming whatever it was happened very quickly, with no time for rescheduling or revisions. I’m glad he came back quickly, at least.

As much as I am fond of FH, you're right. I don't see any way her character can be resolved and Anna is rapidly moving past her expiration date.

The idea of Joss as Junior-Secret-Agent-in-Training really had me intrigued, but it looks like the writers are chickening out now. Big picture-wise, looks like the writers soured on the re-cast Brennan and Carly as a couple,  and him placing Joss in danger AND setting up Jasus was the easiest way to blow things up.

As another poster noted awhile back, I think we're headed for CarSon Chapter 156. There really aren't any other age-appropriate pairings left for her now, other than Martin, and he's clearly not her type. Plus, when the connection between Noted Bigot Natalia and Jenz Sidwell comes out, Sonny won't have any options either, other than going back to Nina.

It is such a pleasure to watch two old pros, isn't it? The ease of their scenes is very soothing, and their skill is so effortless. Same when JE is in a scene with someone who can keep up with her, though all of these actors are also really generous in not overwhelming a less-experienced colleague.

I understand what you're saying but Sonny didn't say Lucky's a hero like his parents - he was talking about Luke but not any specific reference to a heroic act which is why I call b.s. I would have preferred he said, "when you and Luke saved everyone from Mikkos/the Cassadines."  Although Sonny may not even know anything about the freezing the world/Ice Princess stuff since it was a long time before the Show decided to create the Sonny character.
