What was the point of zeroing in on Willow's earing that fell off during the icky time with Drew if the baby cam was recording it all.

I assume Willow will discover it's missing, panic, and run up to find it.  She'll either come across Drew and have an awkward conversation, or Michael, and lie her head off while he plots dropping a crane on her.

When Willow keeps protesting that she loves Michael and their family, all I can think is that she wants Drew more, but she's terrified that Michael will take Wiley away from her. (And she's probably right). But, hey, look on the bright side, Willow, Drew also comes with a child who doesn't have a mother.

Clearly, the show is going full speed ahead with a Carly/Brennan pairing.  She actually went to him first instead of Sonny and Jason? Her humping his leg in the middle of the Metro Court would have been less of a statement than that.

Portia looking to blame Lucas for his sister's death is some cold shit. She just continues to suck.

DZ and NLG continue to break my heart.

Reminds of the stupid way they killed of Abby 😔. I liked her way more than lying Uncle Fucker Weeping Willow and I have no sympathy for her, reap what she sows desiring her husband's uncle for months then fucking him. She was there with her husband she claims to love so much along with Cujo, Cujo Jr and her side piece being all Judgemental and hypocritical  trashing Nina. And gross at the thought of replacing Wiley with Scout. Willow and Drew are gonna catch so much shit from Micheal, Joss, Carly. I do agree with others who says Micheal Willow and Drew deserve all this

Dante waxing on about how great Sam was. How she decorated the apartment every holiday, pausing to emphasize Halloween. The camera pulls back to a wide shot. The set dressings are completely barren. There were never any Halloween decorations and the camera man knows it.

You know what would be fun- if Michael and Willow became the next Alan and Monica- Fighting, bickering, cheating, getting back together, splitting up. That would be soapy but I don’t think the actors have the chemistry or the talent to pull it off.

I'd love to watch Michael drop a roof on Willow and Drew. In my re-do, none of them survive. LOL

I am behind on reading the forum, so I'm SURE this has been said multiple times, but it is disgusting that Drew was having sex with Willow instead of being there for his daughter. I know this is in character with him (he's definitely not a doting, attentive father), but Scout waking up and not being able to find him was heartbreaking. He should have been in the room with her overnight, or within calling distance.

The nanny cam alert was great. I may have cackled. This is why I love soaps.

Willow is way too drippy for that. Maybe they could have pulled it off with Nelle, but Willow doesn’t have the edge for it. I’m still bitter that they copped out on AJ and Carly rekindling their situationship. Sean Kanan was the only actor Laura Wright sparked with (IMO) and they would have nailed the “I hate that I love you” soapy dynamic.

"We're just gonna do whatever we can to hang on to each other because we're all we've got. We're gonna love each other forever, and we are never gonna let go."

There's been so much going on in the world this week that I'm just now watching shows from earlier this week on ABC's app. That line from NLG hit hard. I know some people don't like her for reasons not about how she plays Alexis, but it reminded me why even Ingo Rademacher, long after their work relationship had soured, said she was a great actress.

I'm watching this silly show, a character I haven't liked in a long time is gone, and there's truth in what the actors are doing. Maybe it's not even about all of them being "great actors" who win prizes for it. But they're people who have seen death and loss up close.

I should be caught up in time to see Thursday's show when it's actually on. Distractions are good.

I wonder if it will be addressed that the Penthouse apartment legally belonged to Sam and Jason.  Dante was not Sam's husband, so he has no rights. I guess ownership would go to Alexis. I could see her agreeing to sell it to Dante. The problem is, as soon as Lulu is awake and out of the hospital, I'm pretty sure Rocco is going to want to live with her regardless of his sibling-like attachment to Sam's kids. I really doubt Lulu will want to live with Sam's kids any more than they will want her as a replacement mother esp. since their mother is dead after being her donor. Mostly likely, Jason will end up moving back in with his son and niece.

Jason will gift Dante the apartment and kids to avoid this.

From a production standpoint, someone will live there because the set is already built.

I wondered too. Sam might have left an interest in it to Dante but more likely her kids will inherit it thru some kind of trust.

There's also the issue of Maxie's family living in Lulu's house. They're renting, right? Or did Dante sell it? I only vaguely remember the angst when Sam and Dante decided to cohabitate but not the details.

Finn's apartment is empty. Chase and Brook Lynn need to go back to their own place but it's too small for the family they want to start. Surely someone is going to get a new home set?

But will Dante want to stay there without Sam? I agree someone will end up there but we might be in for a round of musical houses by the time Lulu is on her own again.

I could see Lulu moving in with Laura when she wakes up.  I wouldn’t mind seeing Dante and Rocco move in with Sonny and seeing him more in grandfather mode with Rocco. It could be an interesting dynamic with Dante and Sonny; he wants his son to be closer to his grandfather, but he doesn’t want them so close that he doesn’t want him to turn out like Sonny.

Because of course it's more important that Michael gets his revenge on his cheating wife than consider what's best for his children. Ugh. I hate the trope of using children as a weapon when parents are having problems. It's so ugly and unnecessary. Work out your problems on an adult level, you jerks.

She does suck, but Portia isn't wrong to wonder if Lucas could have played some part. It's really dumb—and too little too late—because Lucas shouldn't have been allowed to operate on Sam no matter how many releases she signed, but that's GH (the hospital) for you.

As much as I hate Sasha being Robert's daughter, I like this new, strong Sasha who is trying to play Sidwell.

Carly to Brennan; "You care about me." Yes Carly, because when Sasha is kidnapped and in danger, the important thing is that the men around you care about you. And then she goes to interfere in Lucas' life. The narcissism never stops with her.

Portia; "When the results come back, I pray that Sam didn't die from surgeon error." [Meanwhile, I'm going to make Lucas feel like crap.] As the only Black couple on the show, it's a shame that Portia and Curtis are such fast forward material.

I suspect that seeing how ugly and hurtful it is could  make people less likely to do it in real life. Most parents don't want to deliberately hurt their children, it comes as a byproduct of the anger at their partner.

This. Although the one scene about mourning Sam that rang false to me was when Elizabeth said to nuLucas, I know how much Sam meant to you. Yes, they discovered they were biological siblings some years ago and were around each other from time to time (mostly while Julian and Alexis were married, IRC) but I never saw them have anything resembling a real brother-sister relationship. It seems like the Show is now trying to claim that Lucas has had good long-term sibling relationships with Sam and Carly when he's actually rarely been seen with either of them one-on-one over the years and the three of them have seldom mentioned seeing or talking to each other.

NLG keeps hitting her material out of the park. Her line about wondering if Sam looked like Scout when she was a little girl was plain sad.

Meanwhile Jason is already over his mourning, is about to throw himself into danger to rescue Sasha who is nothing to him, even though he is the only parent his son has left.

Carly is the most obnoxious character there ever was. Walk your ass out of that office. Don't you have a 6 year old at home to go check up on, or something? And Lucas needs all the support he can get, you banshee.

Still hate Holly and I don't even know why Robert bothers talking to her. ES is a terrible actress.

Curtis and Portia are the pits. Curtis uses the same tone of voice whether he's talking about eating a ham and cheese sandwich or the death of someone who was his friend. Completely devoid of emotion. His tone of voice didn't change once when he was talking about Sam's death, Alexis's grief, making Portia promises about their couple and family. He could not have sounded more bored if he tried.

Sasha used to be Michael's girlfriend and they're still "friends", Sonny still considers her to be family (I think) because she's Brando's widow, and now she turns out to be Robin's half-sister. All that stuff matters to him.

Anything involving Holly has become a big ol' SKIP to me, unless she's in a scene with someone I really like. And I like Tristan Rogers fine, but, no, not enough. When she was sharing space with Jonathan Jackson, for example, and he was newly back and I was still getting my JJ/Lucky fix (unflattering styling and all), I was putting up with her.

I hate saying that, because I know ES is a vet from happier times, but not every character/actor from happier times brings happiness in the present. Holly's storylines in both recent returns have been awful, and I can't get on board what the ways ES is trying to sell them.

This episode was a letdown. I know we needed a break from the wall-to-wall grieving but Alexis was still the best part.

Curtis and Portia were once okay characters but are now approaching Carly and [fill in the blank] levels of obnoxious, both separately and together. (Curtis still has a tiny bit of chemistry with Laura and Nina left.)

I don't much like this Lucas either. He doesn't fit with Brad. The recast looks more like Carly's biological sibling than Sam's. Also, way too much Carly in general.

I will give SM a thumbs up for a more spunky Sasha than we've seen in ages. But I don't really care. And I like Sasha more than most.

Eta: Sorry for the negativity. I can't tell if it's just my general state of mind or if the episode was simply that annoying.

No, it was that annoying. How many times did we hear "my daughter/our daughter/Sasha" from Robert and Holly? Why can't Holly scuttle off to wherever Ethan is and stay there forever? I would find it more interesting if she bailed on Sasha and Sidwell has to figure what to do next. This sudden interest in being a mother does not feel organic at all. I mean, at least have her pay lip service to Sam being dead and not wanting to have regrets or something. It would be craven, yes, but that's Holly, and it would feel more honest than the crap she's spewing.

NLG is truly a standout . Her grief is raw and gut wrenching. She’s making me cry because she’s making it all so realistic.
Carly shut up. I’m tired is seeing her sneer and smirk her way through scenes that she really doesn’t belong in. Jack Brennan is hot and sexy so he would be wasted on Carly. ( I’m available any time ).

Portia has no leg to stand on after changing Heather’s bloodwork results.

Agreed, NLG has been outstanding, and I suspect nearly all of what we've seen----sobbing, breathlessness, near exhaustion---has been because of her acting choices.  Just remarkable, to the point where she even looks dehydrated from losing all those tears.  She even made Sonny tolerable today.

I was looking forward to Robert and Anna working together, with or without Holly, but it doesn't look promising.  The "our daughter" thing just rings hollow.

Carly can have an opinion about Lucas and Brad.  But it should be kept entirely to herself, just like all of her other opinions.

We know that's not going to happen...

In yesterday's episode, when Willow walked in the door of the Quartermaine house, she told Michael that she had gone to check on the kids. Were the two little children in the gatehouse alone? Great mother there. Hope that the gatehouse has a nanny cam too at least.

DZ and NLG have both been knocking their scenes out of the park.  Special kudos to NLG for being willing to do these scenes with out makeup to show how badly Alexis is taking this.

This is the thing.  If the writers are free to just drop storylines whenever it's convenient for them---or, rather, when it's inconvenient to resolve them---why should I become invested in anything at all?  Just really poorly done, and unprofessional on the part of the showrunner to allow these things to happen.

Maybe it's because i'm already familiar with, and a fan of, Van Hansis from ATWT, but I like this Lucas. And I'm just glad the character has a storyline.

I just wish a single medical professional other than Brad would point out that there's no point in speculating and laying blame until the test results are in.

Ew. A thousand times ew. I know people saw chemistry between SK & LW (and I saw some, too) but the idea of a Carly/AJ pairing was odious to me. After everything that heifer did to ruin his life, no way did I want to see them paired. The hate sex was too far for me. I was so glad they moved him on to Liz instead.

It’s natural for the characters who loved her to wax poetic about her, especially since she JUST died. She was maternal. She raised her kids despite the often disappearances of their fathers. And, I know people love to joke about the Quartermaine house for wayward children, but I have no issue with people who have a legitimate reason to (a family relation) dropping their kids off there.

It feels weird to say NLG is the lone bright spot, given the depressing material, but she has been. Her regrets and sadness feel real and raw. And, my old Sexis loving heart almost fluttered a little. It’s a shame it takes a death to make Sonny seem even halfway decent. MB & NLG do still have great chemistry together.

Ugh, shut up, Carly. Her brother is grieving but she wants to stand there and chastise him on who he chooses to grieve with. It’s none of your damn business.

I don’t necessarily want to see Brad and Lucas reunited, but I thought the actors had chemistry together. Despite this being a different Lucas, I bought that they had history together.

There are a lot of reasons I want Holly gone, but now my main reason for wanting it is I can’t stand the way she pronounces Sasha’s name. It’s like nails on a chalkboard.

Also WTH is Carly doing barging in to the men's locker room!?!?

And while we're talking about paused story lines, when is the election happening? ( Also, Needs blackmail is still a thing, sure Michael isn't in the dark anymore, but that video could still be used to damage Drew with the voting public)

Very brief tangent, but it will lead somewhere: I'm rewatching an old Curb Your Enthusiasm from 20 years ago called "The Surrogate." Larry's faux pas in this one (well, it's Curb, so one of three or four faux pas) is that he goes to a baby shower and brings two gifts, one for the expecting parents and one for their surrogate, who's in attendance. Then he chats with the surrogate and is praising her for this difficult, selfless thing she's doing, carrying a baby for nine months and not even being able to keep it. He goes on way too long with this, and is completely oblivious that he's jeopardizing everything for his friends by making the surrogate rethink honoring the agreement.

It's a better-told story in every way than the Molly/TJ/Kristina one! Hey, Curb has run its 25-year course now. Maybe Larry could either join the GH writing staff or act the role of a new character who gets into everyone's business? Like an entertaining version of Carly?

The last time I recall the Show directly mentioning it was when Dante and Sam were both at the Quartermaine mansion to support their mutual off-screen brother Leo for his adoption day. Mostly recently, it was *sort of* acknowledged when Scout was at the hospital with Danny and Jason (a few scenes before Sam died), telling them that Olivia and Leo say Mommy is a hero.

I don't remember when it was, but Olivia said at some point that "Leo misses Julian" but is happy/blessed that Ned is a loving father to him.  Any relationship between Dante and Leo or Sam and Leo has really not been acknowledged for years now. That kid is only ever seen with Chase, BLQ and family. Even BLQ's mom Lois has spent more time on-screen with Leo than his bio siblings have.

I do wonder if he'll understand that his sister died saving his nephew's mom's life. It's weird (on top of his half-brother and half-sister being in a romantic relationship) to think that his adoptive dad, Ned, and his ex-SIL,Lulu, were stepsiblings via the Tracy and Luke marriage.
