Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!

Agree but they just bought a house last year and they have a business in Knoxville. Plus Carlin's family is in the area. But the operative phrase is "willing to babysit." And they may have worn out their welcome in this regard with the Knoxville family. So off to Nashville where Evan knows his family is willing to indulge their whims.

Given the housing market and interest rates and all that, wouldn't they be taking a huge loss if they sold now?

I’m thinking yes, perhaps not huge, though. They paid $310,000 for it, they did do some work on it. However, they just bought it in April 2022.

Maybe not huge, but, probably not going to break even, either.  Depending on how much the market has cooled in Knoxville, it may take them a while to sell the house, too.

I wonder if they just won't move in with Evan's parents at first, it's not like they're not there half the time already.  That would save them money and solve their babysitting issue.  And, quite frankly, the kids would be better off if a pair of competent adults was around to care for them.

Carlin has always kind of struggled even back on the show.  She was the one to cry when Michaela moved, when Tori was at the wedding dress try on, etc.

And it was telling she had trouble multi tasking when she switched to online school for Crown College so she could help with homeschooling the kids and to be available to Evab.

She took over after Tori married..who seemed to be better at juggling school, her courtship, and doing the home school leadership.

So it's no wonder she is frailing right now with 2 small kids, no direction, and a husband that doesn't seem mature enough to help her.  I'm wondering if she still has some untreated postpartum?  Having baby #3 will make her feel more at odds with herself..imho.

I agree that she likely has psychological issues, but is it really “struggling” to cry when a close family member moves away? This seems like natural emotion to me 🤷‍♀️.

Good lord- how much “help” could she have been there?

It's not so much she cried...but the intensity of it.  To me, it came across that while she was sad about her sisters leaving...she also was doing it to get attention...and maybe to compensate for the subdued reactions both Michaela and Tori were having.

Real estate in my area is low on inventory so houses are moving pretty quick for top-ish dollar. Nothing like during the pandemic - only the decent houses are moving quick. If everything in there home is in good shape they could possibly make money. But who knows with them - I mean like they lived with mice turds, so their standards are low.

I'm not sure Carlin feels real feelings. IMO, she over-the-top displays whatever feeling she thinks would be appropriate. I'm guessing living so many years being one of a litter, she started to stuff her feelings because they were mostly ignored.

They might be able to sell the house, but the houses in Nashville are far more expensive.

Oh great, soon you can buy a cheap-ass, thin, ill-fitting monstrosity of a bridesmaid or bridal gown that can't be tailored and will look like shit before you ever hit your reception. Come all, you leghumpers!

Since I'm in a particularly bad snarky mood, I'd love to see unemployed homeowners Carlin and Evan sell their house and not be able to afford one in Nashville. Welcome to your new two-bedroom apartment in a dodgy area, you lazy asses. Maybe Evan can sleep outside every night and guard the precious Tesla.

It must be back to home school time at Abeka, every Fundie influencer was plugging it today! I guess Layla is starting their pre K program or at least the box arrived at C&E’s house. Should be interesting to see how much time is devoted to school.

Lol, Alyssa posted Maci doing her Pre-K today. Kid was alone at a table in the corner staring at a tablet. What a fun and enriching learning environment!

Shouldn’t “homeschool” be year-round? It’s only “back to school” for kids who actually attend a real school.

Yes, that's been their bragging right that they can do home school whenever and where ever unlike us Heathens and yet we never actually see them doing it.

From observation of people homeschooling, they don't normally do it year round.  The co-ops take a summer break, the ones assisted by the local school system take a break, and most of the fundies I have followed take breaks, too.  The homeschoolers using a delivered product will be taking summer breaks as those are scheduled deliveries and usually begin arriving in August.

I know a few people who homeschool, none of them fundies, and they tend to 'freestyle' it when it comes to breaks.  They usually do take a break in the summer, not always as long as the regular school break would be, but least several weeks strung together.  They also take breaks during the school year just like in-person schools, but they usually tailor it around family event or to take advantage of popular destinations while regular school is in session.

The only way I will believe they actually like the shit they peddle will be if any of the siblings pick this as their wedding wear.  Emerson??  Here is your chance to get in good with the sisters!

Carlin went back to the lake and took the kayak out. I'm sure Evan was with her, but she only showed her shoes.  Kelly thanked Carlin for inviting her to go with her to the lake, on her own post, so she was there as well.   I guess it was a non-migraine day.  Wonder if she jumped from the rocks again.

(I really hate being so snarky toward a fellow woman.  But if Carlin really is struggling again with symptoms of fainting/blacking out, I don't think kayaking is something that would be high on the list to do, even on a good day.)

I don't see giggle boy being willing to live like that.  The more likely scenario is all of them taking up permanent residence in his parents' house at least until one or both elder Stewarts finally lose it and kick them out.  This is what happens when you overindulge a child simply because he's male.

I think the real reason Evan is so sentimental about Nashville is because he was completely taken care of when he was there.  He didn't have to worry about working hard to pay all the bills or do yardwork or home repairs.  He didn't have to cook meals or grocery shop or make sure laundry got done.  He didn't have a wife with health problems and possible psychological problems or two small children.  I think he figures if he goes back to Nashville, his parents and siblings will step up and take care of everything and he can just go back to playing with his video camera all the time.  The Stewart parents need to wake up now and set some serious limits if these two try to move in with them.

And his sister needs to wake up and realize that if this guy can afford a Tesla and multiple vacations, he can buy his own coffee.

You should see the latest YouTube where he rants and raves about how he can “take his family out to a nice meal at Five Guys” rather than stay home and use that Blackstone—which was not cheap 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

He forgets that he has an indoor STOVE on which he could cook if the Blackstone is irritating him. But yeah, that would also require some effort. It apparently easier to pile everyone into the Tesla and go to the drive through.

He apparently brought home an empty propane tank and didn’t discover it until he had stuff on the grill and then you have to buy all the stuff that goes ON the burgers and life is so hard. Good God man, dig your balls out of whatever Amazon knockoff bag the BSB is selling that Carlin is keeping them in and grow up.

He's such a helpless, lazy moron, not wonder he wants to move back to mommy and daddy - where he'll stop by mommy's home 5 nights/wk for dinner and daddy will be there to take care of his house and do things like replacing his propone tank. Dude is leaving the store with a propane tank that feels light and instead of swapping it out with one that feels heavier or asking a store person if this one is full etc., he just takes the light one and oops it's empty.

So then he LEAVES the burgers on the grill as he drives back to the store and get a new tank and hook it up. Uh and it's a griddle with no cover so they burgers are just sitting out there - hope no birds pooped from above. Dude you DO have a stove and an oven inside. Most people would take the burgers off the griddle and finish them indoors in a pan, eat, and THEN deal with the griddle/gas tank!?

Also interesting how cooking isn't cheaper for them - just shows how 100% understocked their home is. He's going on and on about how they can go to Five Guys cheaper than buying beef, buns, ketchup, mustard tomatoes. IDK if anyone has been to Five Guys lately but a burger for an adult will be at min $10 and prob $6-7 off the kids menu - so $27 for just him and Carlin and Layla before another $5-7 worth of fries plus whatever sodas cost. Uh Evan usually you can buy 2 lb of ground beef for about $10 and a pack of buns for $5. Difference is in most homes run by adults - no one is buying ketchup, mustard, tomatoes every time they do a burger night bc adults HAVE that stuff on hand.

But then this is the couple who had the friends come cook fried rice when they first bought the griddle and they had to buy SALT. What home has no salt!? We're not talking organic saffron from India that you may not buy unless a recipe calls for it!?

It's been what 1-2 wks with the griddle - Carlin has said before he has cooked 7-8 times but now Evan has announced he doesn't want to cook anymore . . . it's too stressful. So that was a fun couple weeks.

Only saw parts of the video, but it ends with him at Smoothie King buying a $12 acai bowl and handing Layla a $5 smoothie. Back to normal . . . .

And on a different note, are they allergic to putting sunscreen on their kids? The boy's arms and legs constantly look burnt - not even just at the beach but just normally around Knox - and now even moreso at the beach. Carlin has posted a pic of his arm once going awwww tan lines - as I was like uh that's sunburn you idiot. Do they think it's a good idea long term for anyone to get burnt routinely starting at age ONE!? What am I saying - long term - lol.

Wow. I am absolutely paranoid about exposing my 9 month old grandson to sun. I only take him for walks earlier in the morning because even though he has a sun hat and his stroller shades his upper body his hands and feet poke out. I don't want him to get burned.

Taking two kids to a white sand beach (reflection anyone?) without sunscreen is ludicrous. I know there is some debate about using sunscreen on babies under a year old but Zade is 16 months old so no excuses.

5 Guys? Really Evan? There is no way it is cheaper than eating at home even if you do have to buy meat, buns, toppings and frozen fries.

Such a change in a year. Evan actually seemed more responsible when he was going to school and working. I remember him talking about saving his vacation time so he could be off when Zade was born. But since he stopped he seems to have regressed to being a 16 year old.

I wonder how Evan would have turned out if he had not met Carlin. Has he let her family influence him that his place is home with Carlin and the kids even after spending 4-5 years in an electrician apprenticeship? When you look at this family you see Gill quitting his job, Chad quitting his job, Zach quitting his job, Lawson who may be living off his wife's income and Evan quiting before he even started a job as an electrician.  What do his siblings do for a living?  Does anyone think that his parents have ever sat him down and talked with him about long range plans to support his family?

Sometimes people have to buy salt. I mean, the box in my pantry doesn’t magically refill itself. Maybe they were just low or out of salt.
But I agree on the other stuff. No way is 5 Guys for 3 or 4 cheaper than buying meat, buns, & toppings at the store.

Agreed. I wouldn't be so judgy if Evan took time off and he and Carlin used every waking moment to schedule necessary doctors appointments and testing, but they've been dragging this out for nearly two years. At some point you have to come up with a plan. I get that yes, a good chunk of YouTubers and Influencers can live off social media money, but there's also been well known names who lost their momentum and went broke. It is very, very hard to produce interesting content over the long term. The Stewarts' slice of life videos hold zero interest for me because I go to Target, the hairdresser and dentist in my own every day life. Why the hell would I care to watch someone else do it? I guess it fills the void for fans who miss the show, but if their latest numbers are any indication, the train is rapidly going off the tracks.

Is Blackstone giving away grills for free? Because I've seen so many people shilling them on the 'gram. If it was a freebie, Evan might want to be a little more enthusiastic about the product Telling your audience it's cheaper to eat out isn't exactly going to inspire them to drop $600 on a griddle.

With regards to Zade, I practically have a heart attack every time I see him and Josie's girls roasting in the sun. They always look red and burned and it kills me their parents don't seem aware that hats, rashguards and SPF exist. Layla is more olive-skinned and tans easy, but even so, she should be wearing sunscreen.

And of course following our discussion about sunscreen Carlin’s stories today show her and Layla using Dime sunscreen. 🙄

While Layla sits in the bathroom eating potato chips while getting ready. Sour cream and onion chips for breakfast - WOW - she really is their 21 yr old frat bro, not their 3 yr old child. And when Layla asks should I put this on my legs - Carlin says no you don't need it. Even Carlin's arms yesterday looked bright red. Interesting that only your countenance can burn. And btw isn't it the OTHER kid who is always red and crispy looking? Acting like full time parents with 2 kids on vacation appears to be going great . . . .
