Yep, and for me it's a no. Especially when a random influencer on social media can get that much attention or "likes" or whatever for posting a vapid open mouth air brushed picture or some other random thing. In a country where over 74 million people voted then to me that number is not so great, when supposedly millions of people watch the show. For someone else, maybe. I just don't pay attention to what the people call a big deal these days because people believe if a small fraction of people are outspoken about something then ALL of a group are up in arms about it. Additionally, according to Mike Richards and the actor he himself lobbied for the job. Now whether or not he had anything to do with the petition I don't know, but Richards said he was the first person who reached out after Alex died and he said he was thinking about the position a few years ago when it seemed as if Alex might now renew his contract.....so he was after the job without the petition. I personally think the majority of Jeopardy watchers are going to watch no matter who it is and some will just complain, like they do about contestants, and a small number will move on.

This could have been a good show. -
This amuses me. How do you know she is finger pointing, etc. any more than anyone else? It kills me how everyone thinks they know people from highly edited footage of a show on people they've never met. Gabriel may be confident and tries to speak with authority, but some of these people come in from running their own restaurants. I am sure it is hard for them to move away from directing people. I am also sure this environment leads people to have self doubt and be more emotive than usual.
-
Nelson in no way reminds me of Jesse....from someone who has watched every episode of Law and Order at least once, and saw Rent, and watches the Flash....like HOW??!! Gabriel made no real impression on me one way or the other. I just want Jaimie back. I can't be bothered to analyze everything they say. In these unnatural environments away from family during COVID I am sure emotions are running high.
-
And that includes Maria! It was clear she was joking with Gabriel......

Yeah!!!

From this week or last week? If so, who remains from the duo this week? That's what I want to know

Somebody spoil last chance kitchen for me. That pumpkin sauce sounded so good!

It is a wonder why anyone wants to guest host just to be picked apart. I never knew or cared about Alex's political or other views. The truth is, no one really knows public figures beyond what they choose to reveal which is not always the truth. I personally think that everyone they've had has been passable and enjoyed themselves in different ways. I didn't expect anyone to come in and be Alex, or maybe I am easily pleased All of them had their little quirks, but Alex did too. Of course some are better than others, but this is not their regular job. I knew at the beginning that the champ would be replaced and that the Scrabble player would be the new champ. For some reason the Final Jeopardy would not come to me, but somehow I missed 1977 while in the other room or I may have gotten it.

I'll take your word for it, since I didn't watch Wanda Vision but it baffles me why so many people are so quick to compare the shows. They had different writers, different directors and a different focus, not to mention different actors. The were not trying to tell the same story, so saying one "did it better" is really not factual because you are not comparing apples to apples. This show showed how the institutions of service, in the military and special agencies, have policies and procedures that require members to perform acts that affect them long term, and the support is not there. I am sure there are a lot of Veterans that could relate to John Bucky, Isiah and Sam a lot more than they could Wanda. Even Steve had some issues which is why he sought Sam out in the first place. Zemo too. It also touched a little on how it affected the families who support them while they are gone and when they come back with Sam's sister and Bradley's grandson. Focusing on Sharon, who probably had the least amount of screen time to convey how she was affected does not take away from the stories of the others. Sharon does some dark things in the comics so I really don't think it was much of a stretch. Poorly done and not developed, yes, but not a shocking surprise. They had only six episodes to cover a lot of ground and I am glad they spent it where the did instead of more time on Sharon, especially if she is going to appear in future projects. They can tell that story then. This was about Sam and Bucky....and I think they did a fair job with COVID having to change locations, etc. -
Good. They both should have been gone long ago

The "we take someone in only for them to betray us," is so annoying. This show has ever established Barry as the smart person he is supposed to be, nor capitalized on the chemistry Barry and Iris had before she knew he was the Flash. I can't with the Frost storyline....to be honest I have fast forwarded through most of this season. ....
-
I have always found the character of Max annoying. I can't figure out if it is the way the actor portrays him, the writing or a combination of both. I actually usually fast forward through anything with him and I guess I missed a conversation between him and Sharpe that she refers to at the end. I am sick of his do good ness that is soooo unrealistic, and the "will they or won't they?" vibe. I watch off and on, so I don't know what happened to her boyfriend before Daniel Dae Kim, so I guess they just get rid of them with no explanation? Everything is so obvious on this show, and I am already calling that his in laws are going to sue for custody of the daughter..... I don't know where they are going with Floyd. Originally I thought maybe she made up the husband just to deter suitors, but she actually likes him. I also don't know the reason why he and his fiance broke up and they could not hire care for his mother, unless they confessed to more than that? I know the actress got another job, probably with more screen time, but that, as well as most of this season was a mess.

Great result today. There were some really easy and some really hard clues.

I don't know....but there was something going on for sure. One of the few episodes that was disturbing to me on some level.

Before I get into Sharon, let me just say that the last scene at the crawfish boil was my favorite and I think was a great way to end the series. That last picture of Sam and Bucky gazing out in peace and Bucky being so happy to come to the party was great. Although I don't like the Sharon switch and agree it was not written well, I can explain away some of her actions.... She probably realized too late that controlling Super Soldiers would not be something she could do. At first she probably thought it was a good idea, but when Karli went rogue she realized how hard it would be to make sure they stayed in line. As you remember, they were using mind control on Bucky and even with that they could not control the unstable ones that Zemo killed. Once Karli left and Sam and Bucky got involved she changed her master plan. She realized that if she got them back that would be ok, but it would be MUCH better and profitable for her to be back in on US secrets. That, and she could let Sam and Bucky find Karli for her. A question I do have is when Karli is at the cemetery , does she mention taking more the serum? In that way I wondered if Nagel's formula , since it didn't use machines etc. was something that had to be topped up at some point? If not, was Karli going to use the rest of it to bargain with? Otherwise, I don't know why she would not have made more super soldiers to support her cause? Nagel said there were 20 vials, and Karli and her crew took 8 , so that would have left 12. My guess is she killed Selby to protect her ID and/or to gain their loyalty so that she could find out how much they knew and use them to track Karli. I suspect that it is possible that IF she really is the actual Power Broker and not just shielding that persons' identity she may have never revealed her identity to too many people...only identifying herself as the go between. It is believable that Nagel could not identify her. Remember, she assumed that because of who Bucky and Sam were they would never just murder Nagel, Zemo was the wildcard that did that. And if she had decided Super Soldiers were too much to deal with Nagel was expendable because then she would not have to worry about him "going to another side" if he was captured or offered a better deal. I don't know, but it was obvious to me that Karli and her team had some type of training and I thought Nagel confirmed that even before Sharon spoke about it. As for Karli, I didn't care for the actress that portrayed her but I do realize they made some half hearted attempt to remind she was a teenager. Like at the end, the fight with Sam was very much like a teen ager being mad that they were not getting their way, and she was very petulant and disappointed that she felt like Sam was "taking" the other side. Even the way she said, "I'm sorry," like a little kid who knew they'd done wrong. -

I would have liked to see Rose Byrne, Lucy Liu , the woman from Underworld? I wanted someone with an action background but I also don't know if they were trying to get an older actress because of Sam Jackson's Nick Fury. Maybe even Eva Mendes...I don't know. If I put my mind to it I am sure I can think of some people..... -

I love how both Wanda Vision and this show were about Mental Health. The PTSD suffered by many people in the military is real and it manifests itself in a lot of ways. Both Bucky, John and Isaiah were the extremes, but so relatable. Even Sharon, if she is not a Skrull obviously is having some issues. -

My guess is they plan to do more with Bucky with him totally becoming the White Wolf...whether that happens in the Wakanda series or another series or movies is the question. If they wanted Sam to become Captain America I always assumed more time would be spent on that than Bucky. He got time...the Wakanda edits and his time with Zemo, as well as the people he was trying to make amends with. It was just a different focus. Part of it too was Bucky was not communicating. If you watch closely after his time with Sam's family Bucky talks more than he has in most of the movies....first with Sam, then with Karli, then with the father...he had to learn to talk to people. Sebastian Stan did a great job with acting with his body and reactions...when he gets thanked, when he is watching the nephews play, when he is called Sgt. Barnes....when he gives Sam the shield after the fight with John Walker.... proving to himself that Zemo had no power over him and that he was not a killer when he held him at gunpoint....so many scenes....he was absorbing and reflecting...his struggle was more internal. Also in the end where he was always ashamed of his arm and covering it up with jackets, you see Bucky in a sleeveless shirt, letting kids hang on it, etc. because he has accepted it as part of him...there was a lot there that just wasn't as flashy as Sam's speeches, etc. Also with the killing, etc. Everyone is complaining that they let his power go....two things, (1) he was mostly fighting other super soldiers and (2) he was trying not to hurt anyone as much as possible. It is harder to fight someone and not kill them than it is to fight someone and intend to kill them. He was purposely holding back because he no longer wanted to be "that" person....like when he threw the knife next to the Flag Smasher instead of killing him/her with it. Is it just me or did I only count 3 FlagSmashers getting into the van that blew up? I guess we were to assume that Sam rescued the one from the river and all four were being transported, but I swear it only shows three getting in..... -

I don't know if it is true, but I heard that there were supposed to be 8 and that lots of things were changed due to filming and other restrictions because of COVID. Considering that, I think they did a fairly good job. Also, both Sam and Bucky went on a journey. Sure if you were not paying attention it seems like it was more about Sam, but there was plenty to do with Bucky, it was all in his actions and reactions to things. It was just as much about Bucky coming to terms with his past and that although there would always be a part of the Winter Solider in him, it did not define him and he could move forward. As for the speeches, etc. I could have done without them, but a lot of what people are complaining about as "wokeness" etc. is literally in comic books in some form that were written before our latest political divide and before the words "woke" were being used so I don't know what the problem is..... The pre-Winter Solider Bucky was very much a charmer, but what is interesting to me is that they really did not ever let a playful side of Sam come out in previous movies. I very much like that they established a different relationship between them than either had with Steve. The ending scenes at the party....it was not a cookout, but more of a crawfish boil....were perfect. It implied that Bucky had some lightness and Sam had some peace. -

I am really not loving the Benson scenes. Luckily I was out of the room and missed this " I love you," being discussed here. I missed the whole family scene, but determined later that they had some sort of intervention and removed the minor from the home? I would have thought Stabler would have considered it himself after seeing the thugs so close to his son right before the beatdown....and well, he thought someone had killed his wife to get to him, so..... I too think Gina is done for. I can't see why Wheatley would have cameras all over New York and not have them in his own home, nor can I understand why, if he is suspicious of her and tracking her on the camera, he would not have observed her and Bell exiting the same place moments apart. He should also be able to do a very thorough background check on her. Maybe his son will die trying to protect Gina? I have NEVER understood why anyone would think Elliott and Olivia are a pair that need to be together. Realistically I can't see kids IRL accepting that, especially soon after the mother had died, or not thinking that they were sneaking around while she was alive. The fact that they are already laying the groundwork for this so soon after his wife's death (a funeral she attended) is icky. I am I wrong because I am a little intrigued by the thought of them throwing a curveball and Stabler having a thing with Wheatley's ex wife? I was also hoping that when they showed him calling Olivia that some unknown man would be next to her or walk out of the bathroom or something. I can't decide if his henchman is being serious about wanting to turn on him, or if it part of a plot. I can't imagine why anyone in Wheatley's family would actually like him. -
I am glad that I was wrong about Chris. Seems he was able to pull it together and Kiki just couldn't. I love fruit and so many of the dishes tonight sounded tasty. I must be the only person who has no Campbell's soup in my pantry! I would love to be picking fruit right about now.

Yeah texture is a big thing with me.

I hope so! The one thing I love about Greg is he makes a fair amount of meatless dishes. I know a restaurant there is always featured on Food Network shows. My sister lives there, but she never goes out to eat!
