  1. I don't want Nell and Edward together either. They will eventually make great friends (if the writers allow it). The guest star ghosts continue to shine. Also enjoyed the coworker / bus driver.
  2. Agree that this episode was the best yet! And on a shallow note, Marcia Gay Harden looked really pretty in all her scenes.
  3. I'm glad to see Martin Mull's character again - surprised, but glad. That was a sweet ending.
  4. Jeremy Renner attended a red carpet event - pictures here: https://tomandlorenzo.com/2023/04/jeremy-renner-at-the-world-premiere-event-for-disney-series-rennervations/ He looks so happy to be there!
  5. video of Taraji P. Henson as Janine's mom: https://www.etonline.com/abbott-elementary-watch-taraji-p-henson-make-her-fabulous-debut-as-quinta-brunsons-mom-202350
  6. In the 80s the Family Channel had a 30 minute western called "Bordertown". It was about a town on the US/Canadian border that had both a Mountie and a US Marshall who shared a jail and office. There was also a pretty French widow who served as the town doctor, and of course the 2 lawmen were interested in her. It was actually pretty good; I ended up buying the complete series on DVD. There were a lot of interesting characters. I think most of it was filmed on location in Canada; pretty scenery although it rained a lot!
  7. The Bonanza complete series set is finally scheduled for release May 23. They've been releasing individual seasons for several years now - a new season every couple years - but this will be an entire series set with a lot of extras. I've been buying the individual seasons and have 1-11 out of 14. They are also releasing individual seasons 12,13, and 14. I'm trying to decide if I'm anal enough to need the entire complete set in one package or if I should just complete my collection with the individual seasons.
  8. I enjoyed The Wolf character - he was unusual and unpredictable. He and Helen's friendship was nice. I like this show - it's fun and I can just sit back and enjoy it.
  9. Helen is smart; she swapped their cover story around in the blink of an eye.
  10. Is anyone else having a problem with this thread that when you click on it, you are taken to the first post and not the "first unread" ? Then I have to go to the last page and look for the "unread replies" line. I don't have this problem with any other topics I follow. This has been happening since the forum upgrade a couple months ago. I reported it but I haven't seen any change.
  11. Yeah, I kinda got whiplash with the way Lexi was presented. It's a relief, though; she was really unlikable in earlier episodes. Was that Tony Plata as the dead baseball announcer? If yes... that man does NOT age! I can't imagine running a restaurant would be easier than writing obituaries. I would like to see more of Nell's family. I liked her father. I hope we eventually see the brother
  12. That fight between Helen and Ximena was great, but Helen should have had some bruises or something! I like that they have the neighbor checking up on the kids. I'm enjoying this show - it's ridiculous, but so is most TV.
  13. I really enjoyed it - it will be fun to see the couple in action!
  14. I think I saw he was doing the "Colbert Questionnaire". Those are often taped ahead of time, so it's probably new footage.
  15. The restaurant looks great, but it's a shame that a unique neighborhood business was shut down to make room for it. Calvin should be flattered by the likeness!
  16. Just noticed - HLN (CNN's Headline News) is playing a "The Closer" marathon this weekend.
  17. That is a favorite scene of mine too! I sometimes run it back in slow motion just to see the reaction. BTW, that actor played the pony express rider Noah in seasons 2 and 3 of "The Young Riders."
  18. I've only seen Mandy (Emily Osment) previously in "Mom", but I liked her character there, and Mandy is growing on me. I won't mind at all if she stays on the show.
  19. I love that scene too. Amy and Penny's code language is Ubbi Dubbi; it's been around hundreds of years but was popularized in the 70's by the children's show "Zoom".
  20. Several years ago - circa 2006-2008 - there was a "TV Vote" web site. The owner had it set up where you could vote for your favorite show(s) every hour; there was a top 40 and you could nominate other shows. What started as a fun diversion became an obsession for me, and I wasn't the only one. The various shows built partnerships and rivalries. Cheaters were ratted out (it was easy to find out who was cheating since most of the sites had active fan forums, and we SPIED). Trash talking - good natured AND serious - was common on the "TV Vote" google group. I started emailing a Firefly "Browncoat" and we created a coalition of Bonanza and Firefly, believe it or not; we helped Firefly beat out Xena and they helped us reach our goal of 500K votes. (Firefly fans were RELENTLESS!) What I discovered is there are nutcases in about every fandom. I understand why some actors are so cautious with their fans. If you're interested, the top 10 shows and the votes they accrued: (1) Firefly - 755646 (2) Xena: Warrior Princess - 558873 (3) Bonanza - 505769 (4) Gunsmoke - 319535 (5) Battlestar Galactica (2004) - 309762 (6) Buffy the Vampire Slayer - 294601 (7) Farscape - 276697 (8) Jericho - 265606 (9) Angel - 247242 (10) Combat! - 244131
  21. Here's some pictures and (fashion) commentary from the Los Angeles premiere red carpet: https://tomandlorenzo.com/2023/02/star-trek-picard-the-final-season-los-angeles-premiere-red-carpet-rundown/
  22. I was in Best Buy this evening picking up an order, and that same LEGO bouquet kit was waiting on a pickup. When I mentioned that I had seen it on TV, the clerk said "oh, THAT'S why! We've gotten 3 or 4 orders for it; that's the last one and we're back ordered!"
