  1. This article confirms he assaulted Gracie Gold: https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/40148705/safesport-bans-brendan-kerry-sexual-misconduct-minor He claims it was consensual
  2. I really enjoyed both episodes, though I wish they had been longer. I guess we can blame it on the writer's strike. I have never been to a funeral where the spouse spoke, and I was really surprised that not only Mary was preparing a eulogy, it seemed like it was expected that she do that. I know funeral traditions vary widely in various cultures/religions, but I have never heard of that.
  3. I was so glad to see the level of coverage on "regular" TV this year. I was especially thrilled to see 2 "best of breed" shows. Unfortunately, those Best of Breed shows were awful; the coverage was choppy and the sound balance was so bad you could bare hear the commentators. The Groups judging and Best of Show were coverage similar to previous years; just about every dog I saw I thought "ooh, I want one of those!" If you've never been to a dog show before, try to get to one. It's a whole subculture you never knew existed! I went to my first dog show with someone from England who raised keeshonds, and if I hadn't been with her I would have been totally lost, but it was fascinating!
  4. I guess we'll find out about Gonzo's personality; it looks like Elsbeth has adopted him(her).
  5. I was thinking Moll was going to say she was pregnant. That would have made her child the next in line, right?
  6. Honestly, I couldn't get past the situation - They were at a concert. Lots of emergency medical personnel would be there. JUST CALL 911!
  7. I missed the backstory of the watch. I saw the killer give the watch to his future son in law, and the son in law lit up... it must have been pretty valuable, and the SIL recognized that, right?
  8. Surely Tina wouldn't have gone to a baby shower in Canada? It's too bad she wasn't invited, but a sincere apology should have resolved that. I kinda winced when Courtney said Tina could take care of the baby. First Courtney wanted to go it alone, then she wants Tina to provide daycare? I know a lot of grandmas, and most of them don't want to babysit full time. I did laugh out loud when Malcolm opened his door to face a wall of baby gifts, then when he took out one Tina was on the other side! Great sight gag!
  9. He's a Kellerun: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Kellerun
  10. I would think that giving someone a drug without their knowledge is still a felony, and if someone dies during the commission of a felony it doesn't matter if the death isn't intended. (I went to Closer U.)
  11. Thanks for recommending this - I watched it on Disney+. It's a great story (and Terry looked so young)!
  12. I think I'm through with this show. All the actors are charming, but the stories are all meh. What a waste.
  13. Liev Schreiber said he had an incident of TGA - Transient Global Amnesia. I've had that happen to me, and once it was diagnosed and I told people what had happened, almost half said it had happened to a friend or relative. It's scary when it's happening, but it doesn't last long - mine lasted about 12 hours. And the neurologist I saw said he's only seen recurrences in 3 or 4 patients in his 30 years of practice. Here's a web site for those who are interested: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/transient-global-amnesia/symptoms-causes/syc-20378531
  14. I've often wondered if you just leave the TV on the streaming service and turn off the TV if the streaming knows the TV is off. Never bothered to check it, though; I always leave the streaming service before turning off the TV.
  15. Aw, you guys made me think about this episode and how ridiculous the whole thing is! Like why would a group of people plan a murder to get rid of someone they could just vote out? And what was so magical about that wrench that it had to be the only wrench in the world that could have loosened the bolts? And how did Elsbeth beat Joann to the top of the climbing wall? Anyhoooo... I really like Elsbeth and Kaya - they make a fun team. I am enjoying this show!
  16. Seems like it would be a lot easier for them to enforce a specific number of users at a time, so Grandma could use the account for the kids to watch while she's babysitting.
  17. It's funny how the result of the pandemic wasn't "everyone starts making their own meals" but was "everyone starts ordering restaurant meals delivered."
  18. *sigh* I'm gonna miss this show. I'm glad they're letting Abishola have some fun this season.
  19. Here's a gift link to the article: https://wapo.st/3x2C3kV
  20. @perkie1968 or @redpencil - can one of you post the results home page for the event? For example, for the US championships they have this page: https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2024/33688/index.asp where you can get to all the results.
  21. I counted almost 1800 donations - most were $10-25 but there were 40 for $100, a couple $200, and one $1000! This is HUGE for a small facility like them. I hope it will encourage others to give to their local shelters.
  22. I'm glad they didn't make Lamar "Super Granddad" - he's much more interesting this way.
  23. The total is now over $5600.
  24. Well, I am enjoying this series.
  25. So far I've counted over $2600 donated in his memory. That's quite a boon to this organization; whoever suggested it, thank you!
