  1. I have complained about when I go into this topic, it takes me to the first post, not the first unread post. Well, I found a workaround. Bookmark the topic, then edit the bookmark so the URL says: https://forums. primetimer.com/ topic/2875-figure-skating /?do=getNewComment I've added spaces after "forums." , "primetimer.com/", and "figure-skating", so take those spaces out. Then if I see on the "Followed Topics" page that there's been a new post, I use my bookmark to go to the new post. It's cumbersome but it seems to work for me.
  2. I'm glad I found this topic - I've been watching the episodes and was wondering what others thought of the renovations. I like all the individual renovations, but I really thought they chose the wrong team for the last challenge - the outside front vs the back. I mean, the changes to the front were seriously imaginative. That handle was amazing!
  3. I watched Star Trek when it originally aired; I consider myself a fan (especially of DS9). And I don't care about deviations from the original series. As long as the stories and characters are interesting - and "Strange New Worlds" meets my criteria - I will watch and enjoy. Specifically, I love what they've done with Chapel - she's kick ass and I care about her character, unlike Chapel in TOS.
  4. One of my favorite Star Trek episodes! Here's a good Wiki article about how the episode was conceived and produced: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Trials_and_Tribble-ations_(episode)#Background_information
  5. Lots of great chemistry between Christina Chong and Paul Wesley. It took a while but I see Kirk now.
  6. Just saw this one - Someone has one of those big 3-5 gallon water bottles that you have to turn upside down to load on the dispenser. I've never done it myself, but I assume there is a way to do it without spilling half of it on the floor! (Yeah, it's funny, but I think about the poor guy who has to mop it up.)
  7. Danny Masterson has been convicted of 2 charges of rape: https://people.com/danny-masterson-convicted-2-counts-rape-7502165
  8. There is no way they will be able to pull this off without pissing off a lot of people and losing customers. It's just too complicated, so even if they could get the algorithms to work people will still be confused. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in a month.
  9. Aw, I'm sorry to see this show cancelled - it was mindless silly fun! I'm glad they got Dana and Max back together and it didn't eat up the entire show. Yelena was shaping up to be a great villain; too bad we won't see more of her.
  10. Gift link to Washington Post article about Sarah Hughes: https://wapo.st/42Jy0VD
  11. I used to work with a woman who had immigrated from China. She actually learned written English in school before she heard English spoken. Her written English was excellent but we could hardly understand her speech!
  12. Same here! We girls weren't allowed to wear pants. One cold winter day a bunch of us got together and decided to wear pants the next day, figuring they couldn't send us all home. A couple hours into the day they announced over the intercom since it was so cold, during the winter girls would be allowed to wear pants. And they never pushed back when we just kept wearing them.
  13. I like Kevin Pollak so I'm glad they all made up and he is going to be on at least one more time. I loved how Marty just lost it firing that guy.
  14. Did Jay see the "sucked off" vision? I'm glad Hettie and Alberta made up. I don't want to see any of the "main" ghosts leave the show, but it almost seems like a cop-out to have it be a minor character.
  15. Wow that guy was an absolute a-hole; I don't know why someone didn't tell him off.
  16. I liked how Calvin was so sympathetic to Dave's situation with his father. From previews it looks like Kevin Pollak is going to be Dave's long lost father - he played a similar role in "Mom".
  17. That was fun! I really liked the other couple. It's amazing with all those bullets flying around that no one on "our" team got a scratch. Ah, the magic of television!
  18. I find it interesting that Nell truly missed the ghosts.
  19. I was thinking "why Bill Paxton?" so I looked up the "True Lies" movie. Until this moment I did not realize that was Bill Paxton playing Simon!
  20. It was great to see Lucinda Williams - I've always liked her songs. I was wondering why they started the segment with her already seated, so I did some searching and discovered that she had a stroke in 2020 and has some mobility issues. And can't play her guitar any more 😩
  21. From TIME magazine: a comparison of streaming services. There is a video "Bela Bajaria Explains the Netflix Crackdown on Password Sharing" in it but I didn't watch it. https://time.com/6258245/streaming-service-guide/
  22. I don't want Nell and Edward together either. They will eventually make great friends (if the writers allow it). The guest star ghosts continue to shine. Also enjoyed the coworker / bus driver.
  23. Agree that this episode was the best yet! And on a shallow note, Marcia Gay Harden looked really pretty in all her scenes.
  24. I'm glad to see Martin Mull's character again - surprised, but glad. That was a sweet ending.
