  1. Nothing to add but this lovely photo (click on it to see the full photo): C
  2. I'm glad that cupcake story line is over. And it looks like Dave is going to be a good counselor.
  3. I always enjoy seeing Evie - they are such a mature, loving couple.
  4. I liked the "book, book, book" plot line. It was different.
  5. I know the cats are part of the "thing", but honestly if I went into a cafe and saw a cat walking on the countertops like that I would turn around and leave. I liked the fact that Randi was making a go of it. If it weren't for her ideas, Kat would have returned to an empty building.
  6. Weddings are so different depending on where you live (like funerals and baby showers). I've only been to a couple weddings that had table seating for a meal and those were "sit where you find a seat." I've never been to one with assigned seating except for the main table. Most of the receptions I've been to provided finger food/appetizers, not a regular meal. Like @Ceindreadh, I've never been to a wedding with open bar - in fact, I don't think I've ever been to a wedding with alcoholic drinks other than champagne or wine.
  7. I see Joe Saylor (the band's drummer) in one of the pictures ; that must be why he was missing in some episodes last week.
  8. I enjoyed seeing the other members of the neighborhood (especially the Vietnamese mama). Nothing as much fun as an impromptu neighborhood party! So I'll forgive everyone blaming Dave for the power going out; it wasn't his fault the power company screwed up!
  9. I don't know why the awards shows insist on focusing on the performer and arty establishing shots instead of the memorial pictures. I couldn't even see half the names on my little TV. Almost all of them do this and it's very annoying.
  10. Adam Cartwright went wherever the writers needed him to go for the episode. He was in St. Louis, later Paris, later he got on a ship in San Francisco to sail to the Hawaii and the South Seas. After season 7 he was rarely mentioned. As for Jamie, I think it would have been cool to have Hoss adopt him. Hoss needed his own family.
  11. I re-watched 2009's "The Lovely Bones" and realized that Rose McIver (Sam) plays the older sister, Lindsey. Funny; she's from New Zealand, her "sister" Saoirse Ronan spent most of her life in Ireland (though born in the Bronx), and her "mother" Rachel Weisz is from London, but they played an American family (Rachel did have a British accent in the movie). If anyone's interested: the movie got mixed reviews, but it's one of my favorites.
  12. Here's a list of streaming services with free trials. Most are only a week, but Hulu is a month. https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/streaming/free-trial-streaming-services
  13. Quinta Brunson all dolled up for the 2022 Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards: https://tomandlorenzo.com/2022/08/abbott-elementary-star-quinta-brunson-in-tony-ward-couture-at-the-2022-hollywood-critics-association-tv-awards/
  14. I like the solution someone mentioned above - require a password change every 6 months if an account has more than one login location. It sounds like they have the ability to collect that information.
  15. Pictures of Julia Butters at the premier of "The Gray Man" - she is growing up! https://www.justjaredjr.com/2022/07/14/julia-butters-cameron-crovetti-premiere-new-netflix-film-the-gray-man/
  16. He reminds me of Jeffrey Hunter, who played the original Christopher Pike in the pilot for TOS. So that was a bit distracting. I hadn't seen "Balance Of Terror" in many years and didn't immediately recognize what was going on. I finally caught on, and the episode made a lot more sense. I went back and watched the original and I liked how they merged that episode into this one.
  17. Dolly Parton donates $1 million to support pediatric infectious disease research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. https://www.goodmorningamerica.com/culture/story/dolly-parton-donates-million-pediatric-infectious-disease-research-85413104
  18. It's a family owned company and Christina is a stakeholder, whether she works there or not.
  19. Even though I know John Dean is still alive, I feared for his life in that room with Liddy. That guy was a psycho! I was not aware that Martha had died so soon after Watergate. I wonder if that "Martha was right" flower arrangement is historical. Kinda ugly, but spot on. I enjoyed the series more than I thought I would. Except for Liddy, he was just TOO creepy. (The actor did a great job!)
  20. Princeton has a really low acceptance rate - something like 5% last year - but they have a policy that if you are admitted you will get the financial aid you need to attend. The aid is in the form of grants - not loans. Vanderbilt does this as well - my niece went there and was able to get 90% of her tuition/books/housing through a similar program. You just have to demonstrate need.
  21. "B Positive" - it had so much talent in the cast! The first season had promise, but after the successful kidney transplant they went in a totally different direction and it got pretty awful.
  22. I've been to 26 countries, and New Zealand is the only one that I said "I want to live here!". It's a beautiful country, with many cultures - Native, European, Malaysian, Indian, Chinese - that live together in harmony.
  23. The Necie character has been on 4 episodes. I am also glad that Marty is getting married. I like to see characters progress. Now let's get a girl for Malcolm!
