  2. Last night I finished a re-watch of the series. I first watched it during the previous administration. Even though the previous and current administrations are so different, I think the show ages well and most of the plots are still relatable. (But I hate CJ's hair in the last season. 😁 )
  3. Isabel May, the actress who played "Veronica" in several season 2 and 3 episodes (she was the "bad girl who found Jesus" and Georgie had a crush/friendship with), is in the new Paramount+ series "1883". It stars Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill. I saw a promo for it on the Paramount channel.
  4. I took the survey; it took less than 5 minutes.
  5. This cast is so amazing and talented; I wish the writing was better.
  6. It's funny.. I watched BBT since the beginning, so am very familiar with Sheldon and his quirks, but the other day I was watching an episode and "adult" Sheldon did something and I thought "he's doing a good job of imitating YS", then I realized it was the other way around. Iain Armitage does such a good job!
  7. Did the scoring change? In the Technical score display, now they are showing the "max score" for each element, instead of the base score. I prefer seeing the base score. (When I can see them; the numbers are so small that I can hardly read them.)
  8. Thank you for mentioning Adriana was played by another actress! I was wondering why she looked so different. The dog's name is Cannoli.
  9. When someone dies of COVID, the first thing people want to know is "was he vaccinated?" So it makes sense to answer that question right at the start. I do appreciate CNN also mentioning in the headline that he was battling cancer.
  10. I was also listening to the radio, and this moment is what I remember most. Absolutely terrifying.
  11. The only thing I'll remember about this episode is how Mark has shot up. The rest... meh.
  12. Looks like they're showing 3 hours/day next Mon, Tues, Wed... that's as far as my channel guide goes. I've never watched Castle, so I'm catching a couple episodes here and there; it's ok so far.
  13. I think in the past a lot of women didn't even know they were losing a pregnancy. It's amazing how pregnancy tests have changed the landscape.
  14. Sorta off topic, but lately I've heard about people putting raisins or nuts in potato salad. Maybe it started with this: (the potato salad starts around 5:14) I've asked many people on several sites I visit, and no one has ever seen potato salad with raisins. It sounds pretty gross to me, and I've eaten a lot of potato salad!
  15. In my memory, seems like she was planning to get surgery, but she just didn't wake up one morning due to overdosing.
  16. Everyone grieves differently. I know many widow/ers who married less than a year after losing their spouse. One of my friends married someone who lost his wife and in a couple months met her and in a couple more months they were married. She kids that if she goes first, he'll bring a date to her funeral.
  17. The "guest Conners" gimmick was pretty weak; hopefully they won't try anything like that again. Other than that, the episode seemed like a regular "Conners" episode; except for the part where Darlene ran through the backstage area, I didn't notice any flubs from it being live.
  18. I checked the Comedy Central web site and they show it from 11:00 - 11:46 (eastern time zone) https://www.cc.com/tv-schedule
  19. I think the sock skating was an interesting idea doomed to failure. As it was, it was not that slippery, but if it had been slippery somebody could have fallen and broken a bone or hit their heads. After some of the comments from last week, I started to see how pointless Dayna's comments are.
  20. Simone Biles talks about her status with the twisties: https://people.com/sports/simone-biles-details-recovery-from-twisties-after-tokyo-olympics-gold-over-america-tour/
  21. Speaking of Season 2: last night I watched "Kitty Litter and a Class A Felony", the episode where Bonnie steals Alvin's ashes and Alvin's sons give Christy a check for "working the past 2 years without getting paid." I really liked the brothers and thought it's a shame we never saw those characters again.
  22. Oh, I love Karch and I loved him choking up talking about wanting to see them win the gold medal. I met him once after a pre-Olympic match (1996) and even though they had just played 4 tough sets he was still very gracious talking to all the fans. (I also met Bob Ctvrtlik who lit up when I asked him about Pepperdine!)
  23. I don't mind watching events where I know the results. What bugged me the most about NBC's coverage is the descriptions of the events on the TV guide were wrong half the time. I was jumping around the channels trying to find the events I wanted to watch.
  24. I went to the Gymnastics exhibition at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. I think it was on the Sunday after the first week of competition. It had both men's and women's artistic teams and the trampolines.
  25. To be honest, the only place I've heard about "drunk Australian athletes" is on this site. But I've had several conversations with friends about the Belarussian athlete.
