That is a favorite scene of mine too! I sometimes run it back in slow motion just to see the reaction. BTW, that actor played the pony express rider Noah in seasons 2 and 3 of "The Young Riders."

S06.E12: A Baby Shower and a Testosterone-Rich Banter

I've only seen Mandy (Emily Osment) previously in "Mom", but I liked her character there, and Mandy is growing on me. I won't mind at all if she stays on the show. -
I love that scene too. Amy and Penny's code language is Ubbi Dubbi; it's been around hundreds of years but was popularized in the 70's by the children's show "Zoom".

Fandom Culture
MaryMitch replied to Cloud9Shopper's topic in The TV Bazaar: Assorted TV-Adjacent Talk
Several years ago - circa 2006-2008 - there was a "TV Vote" web site. The owner had it set up where you could vote for your favorite show(s) every hour; there was a top 40 and you could nominate other shows. What started as a fun diversion became an obsession for me, and I wasn't the only one. The various shows built partnerships and rivalries. Cheaters were ratted out (it was easy to find out who was cheating since most of the sites had active fan forums, and we SPIED). Trash talking - good natured AND serious - was common on the "TV Vote" google group. I started emailing a Firefly "Browncoat" and we created a coalition of Bonanza and Firefly, believe it or not; we helped Firefly beat out Xena and they helped us reach our goal of 500K votes. (Firefly fans were RELENTLESS!) What I discovered is there are nutcases in about every fandom. I understand why some actors are so cautious with their fans. If you're interested, the top 10 shows and the votes they accrued: (1) Firefly - 755646 (2) Xena: Warrior Princess - 558873 (3) Bonanza - 505769 (4) Gunsmoke - 319535 (5) Battlestar Galactica (2004) - 309762 (6) Buffy the Vampire Slayer - 294601 (7) Farscape - 276697 (8) Jericho - 265606 (9) Angel - 247242 (10) Combat! - 244131 -

I was in Best Buy this evening picking up an order, and that same LEGO bouquet kit was waiting on a pickup. When I mentioned that I had seen it on TV, the clerk said "oh, THAT'S why! We've gotten 3 or 4 orders for it; that's the last one and we're back ordered!"

I don't understand "open concept". Where do you put your shelves? Why would you let guests have a clear view of the mess in your kitchen? How does anyone just sit and read a book without being distracted?

I hate that score box they're using for the US competition. For the European they're using the "Show the base and show the GOE" instead of "Show the base and the final score". I like seeing the GOE separately; I shouldn't have to do math to figure out the GOE. Why are they playing around with that?

LSSC: Season Eight Episode Talk
MaryMitch replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Late Show With Stephen Colbert
When Jason Segel came out and Stephen greeted him (Stephen standing one step above him), I thought "Boy, Jason is big!". Not 10 seconds later, Stephen's first comment to Jason was "I've forgotten how big you are!" I never noticed that before. -
I was on a date in college and the guy said "I love to watch you eat." I was extreeeemly embarrassed. 😆

She was on Colbert last night (Jan 4), sans pink hair. She did look great, but she seemed nervous. Very short skirt! She did not perform 😒 -

It's a Baptist church. Or at least, Mary has said on several occasions that they are Baptists.

I love Mayim, and I liked the show last season, but the show now is pretty much unwatchable. I cut out in the middle of the episode and removed it from my DVR schedule.

The arm wrestling contest was hilarious. Anyone else have the idea that John Krasinski was just toying with Stephen? 😄 -
