I thought the monologue was almost great. Certainly very good, and quite funny.

Thanks for asking! I'd made plans with friends from another board (I know - I'm cheating on this place 😄 ), so I told my friend who had put us on the waiting list to take us off the waiting list because I didn't want to know I had tickets and have to turn them down. So he said he did, then told me anyway that we could have had the tickets. Sigh... well, at least it's coming to Broadway! And I had a lovely afternoon with friends!! I thought both Piano Lesson and Death of a Salesman were well worth seeing. Both had flaws, but overall, I'm very glad I saw them. I'm sad to say that I wasn't quite focused for Leopoldstadt (since I'd just had a lovely afternoon with friends...), so it didn't really stick with me. But Mr. ebk and our friend who was with us thought it was excellent. I'm going to try to read it at some point.

Got tickets for our trip next week - Piano Lesson, Death of a Salesman and Leopoldstadt. Hoping for miracle Merrily tickets. We'll see... Right now, I'm watching the livestream of Patti Lupone at 54 Below. Love her.

Indeed they are gorgeous! And I'm sure they're just as tasty, but really, I'd have a hard time actually eating one since they're so damn pretty.

Just finished watching this. I think it was a wonderful show, much better than the past couple of years. And none of these people are in my most pantheon of stars (I enjoy all of them, including the just discovered Tania Leon), but the show itself was lovely. So glad the show is back on track.

I miss this every year...

I love Lizzo! I thought Austin Butler was lovely and seemed to be enjoying himself. I thought most of the sketches were...meh. I really didn't like Colin's Aunt Pat. At all. I will miss Cecily a lot. I was *not* tearing up during Cathy Ann or at the end. No, I wasn't. So there!

I was taught if I can't say something nice... That's 90 minutes of DVR space I don't have to free up. That was nice, wasn't it?

Whatever happens, he just changes the name of the recipe. I love Chef Jose - and his daughters are fabulous!!

FYI, if you have a Target account, you can get 3 months of AppleTV+ free until the end of Sept. 2023. That's how I'm enjoying it so far. We'll decide whether to keep it when the trial runs out.

They are twins. And they and their families live on a large spread with Brandi and her wife and kids. It's a family affair. And, they're a really good band. As for the show, it was...fine. I laughed some. I enjoyed the open and WU (except for the Chloe segment) and love Brandi. The rest was okay. I was hoping it would be better.

Has Mariah stopped talking for one second since she sat down? My goodness...

Mr. ebk was just reading an article about Medicare advantage plans that said the way they make money is by denying claims. If the claim is appealed, there's a very high chance it will be paid, but over 90% of denials are not appealed. Sigh... I'm so grateful that he was in a union and has a pension and insurance. And that I'm on the insurance with him. I don't know how I'd manage all of this otherwise. Although, if I was still single, I'd just probably continue working. I do like working...most of the time.

Wow - CBS just left the Dallas game for a "more competitive" game. With Greg Gumble - yay!

I don't know...maybe I'm aging out of this show. I did like the monologue, the soup sketch was okay, jury sketch a bit better than okay, Big Dum Hats made me laugh a lot. Update was fine - Cecily was great. Otherwise...eh.

We just started watching (after baseball - sigh...) and the open was bad. Really bad. Can't wait to be pissed off at the Covid commercial.

And baseball is over. I'm sad.

The games are still broadcast on free TV in the local market, so you probably got the Baltimore channel. We have the DC channels, so we didn't have it on free TV.

I wouldn't mind this so much if the sideline reporter asked some interesting questions. But we really don't need to hear "how did you feel?" because really, what's he gonna say? Terrible?? Yay Philly! (Something I never thought I'd say...) ETA: I briefly considered trying to get tickets to the Series, but then remembered I'd be in Philly sitting with Phillies fans. Nothing personal @shoregirl, but I've done that before, and...no thanks.
