Agree! I do hope that Dave actually had more to do in the part of the show we didn't see, because if he came here just to open and close the proceedings, well, he must really be bored 😄

I just love Bette! And there really is nothing like seeing her live. Her concerts are always an event, and she was fabulous as Dolly. Just the best.

I love Paul Simon, but I was kinda hoping he'd be dressed as a turkey.

And now - Brittany Howard! And Herbie Hancock!! Okay, I'll stop giving the play-by-play and just watch. (or at least I'll try... 😄 )

2 things early - I miss seeing the faces of the audience (but I totally understand, and support the reason why I can't see them). And, Dave looks good! He trimmed the beard to formal length. I love Dave.

Wish you could come over to my house and watch since I'm barely paying attention... And yeah! 70 miles is nothing!! 😄

Did anyone else see the "previously recorded" thing at the bottom of the screen? Hmmmmmmm ETA: Which now makes sense because it seems it is all previously recorded. Ah well.

It's the worst! I work in Tysons Corner, a/k/a The Seventh Circle of Hill. Really, the worst.

According to Wiki, she's McKenzie Kurtz. Per IBDB, she was in Frozen on Broadway as Anna. I watched this tonight. It was...fine. The cast was excellent, although I didn't really like Nicole Scherzinger. I guess I haven't seen the show since around 1979, but since it was at my theatre for months, I think I remember it fairly well and I feel like it's been substantially rewritten since then. Maybe incorporating things from the films? Anyway, I always love seeing theatre brought to everyone. It was an enjoyable watch, but I really wanted to love it and I just didn't.

Definitely happening. The brothers-in-law are working night and day at the moment, getting ready for the multi-hour extravaganza on Sunday. The first article in the WaPo appeared today profiling Joni Mitchell. I gasped when the alert showed up on my phone. While I loved all of this shows, my favorite was the troubled Merrily We Roll Along. The book will never work, but the score is gorgeous and the themes of longtime friends is near and dear to my ailing heart.

I had a very, very bad day, but whenever I thought about this news, it made me smile. Yay Jon!!
