I gotta say there have been some really exciting endings to games today - not always the right ending, but exciting nonetheless.

But that's not gonna stop me from trying! 😄 I'm unreasonably upset about this game and I don't know why because I vowed not to be unreasonable upset about football this year.

Thank you for watching and reporting so I didn't have to. (Also, since the game didn't exactly go my way, I'm doubly glad I didn't bother)

And the Emmys keep up the horrible tradition of focusing on the person singing the song and not the folks they are paying tribute to. I have a 55 inch TV and if I don't get up and stand right in front of it, I can't read any of the names on the screen... so frustrating.

Does the venue look really dark to anyone else/ It's really hard to see people - although it might just be my old eyes.

I don't know if you know about this, but he did a semi-staged "Company" a while ago that I thought was wonderful.

Endea mentioned last night that she and her band did a Tiny Desk Concert, so I watched it today. They're terrific!

I hate night life. I didn't dislike Cincinnati, I just didn't find anything compelling there, tourist-wise or food-wise. I wouldn't object to ever visiting again, and maybe checking out the Underground Railroad Freedom Center (which I either didn't realize was there, or it wasn't open when we were there), but I wouldn't make a point of going back. We travel to visit ballparks (been to all of them that were open when we started, and just need to go back to 4 cities for new ones), and we saw both Cincinnati stadiums, so not sure it will be a future destination. I'm truly sorry if I offended you (and anyone else). Like I said, I don't dislike the city.

The ballpark in Pittsburgh is worth the trip - go see a game, any game! And Pittsburgh is fun!! Cincinnati, OTOH... the stadium is fine, but I'm not sure why Cincinnati exists. (Nothing personal to anyone from Cincinnati).

Okay - I don't know who Timmy Trumpet is (really??) and I've never paid attention to Diaz's walkout song (if I've ever actually watched a Mets game this year), but I do understand how fabulous this is and I almost wish I was there! Almost...

The hospital where my sister was being treated for cancer had a deal with Lyft to transport people to and from appointments. Not sure if that would hold true for procedures where you need a relative or friend, but for regular stuff, if was great. Maybe the hospital (or doctor's office) would know about this for anyone who needs transportation.

I, um, drive myself home after those appointments (which I have twice a year). So far, no problems.

Honestly, the only good thing about that stadium is the beer selection. And let's face it, the team sucks. At least when the Os suck (most of the time-I know they're going to try to get more money from me next year), the stadium is a pleasant place to spend some time. So we have that going for us.

This! I'd never had an issue with the liquid stuff, but people I know did and were glad to hear there are now pills. Well, they're like horse pills! And you have to take 12 at a time, twice. I managed to get them all down, but It was a chore. Also, they weren't covered by my insurance, but I had a coupon so it wasn't too expensive and the doctor was so enthusiastic about them, I figured I'd try. Next time, back to the liquid.

I think he also hosted an episode of SNL last season and was charming. I've also enjoyed him on various late night talk shows.

Lox, cream cheese and onion on an onion bagel 7. A huge salad from the salad bar at the local grocery store 8. Fried Chicken 9. Hot fudge sundae 10. And what the hell... fried chicken, but this time with french fries!

I was kinda hoping he'd burn the house down on his way out, but he's way too professional for that. Ah well... 😄

FYI, if anyone has a Target Circle account, you can get AppleTV+ for 4 months free. This expires at the end of September, but the last offer expired sometime in June and was extended. So if you check in next spring, you may be able to get through most of the season. Or, is you sign up now, you can get through this season and the post-season (if there are any games there post-season - haven't looked into it).

We just went on our first trip since February 2020 - to NYC, the last place we went in February 2020 😄 We were careful - the only places we were maskless was the restaurants. Otherwise, all masks, all the time. It's really not a burden wearing a mask at the theatre, or museum, or even outside when it's in the 90s (on the Intrepid - not really comfy, but doable). I'd just try to relax and not worry too much and take reasonable precautions. Have a good time, @Spartan Girl!! Enjoy Darrows!

That's a peeve of mine - if you make my doctors appointment for 9am, then that's when I should be expected to show up. If you "need" me there 15 minutes early, make the appointment for 8:45. This annoys me no end.

So if I come up the first weekend in January, I can catch this and Death of a Salesman. I need to plan...
