We went to see Steve Earle in concert on Wednesday. I wore my mask through the evening (except when I was eating and/or drinking). I was a little nervous, but it was a great time. When he started talking about "Coal Country", I realized that one of the last shows I saw before it all went to hell was "Coal Country" (which was practically Steve in concert - he was the best part!) and the fist show back was Steve in concert. I'm not sure what that means, but it made me smile. That said, we've got tickets to another concert (in an outdoor venue this time (and we are going to baseball games regularly now)) in September but I'm not confident enough about the way things are going to buy any more tickets to anything just yet. We'll see.

I've eaten at the one in Harlem (yummmmmm). There was one in Baltimore a few years ago, but it didn't last nearly long enough. Went there a couple of times after baseball games.

FYI, this also happens for me. I believe it started when I switched to IPS Default theme, so I figured that was the reason. However, using that theme is totally worth having some ginormous type appear from time to time.

Os announcers also stay home. They have specifically complained about having to use the camera angles and replays provided by the home team. Which sometimes I understand. But really, it won't help them get any better. Sigh..............

I can't wait for this to air! I love Jon (I may have mentioned that before...) and I love Austin City Limits!!! And, I love the new album (everyone should get it!!) and the last album, "Hollywood Africans." And... Gary Clark Jr.!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like a perfect show!

It's on my scheduled DVR shows all week and I only have new episodes scheduled. Maybe they haven't lined up the guests yet.

Coke with coffee. It was a "Free Friday" thing at the local grocery store several weeks ago, so I picked it up (because Free!). It's still in the fridge. I'm afraid to try it.

I will just drop here for no reason that I had a My Little Margie paper doll set when I was a wee lass. About a hundred years ago. I don't even remember if I ever saw the show, but I did have those paper dolls!

I love Eleanor! I got to vote for her the first time she ran. And I agree with your assessment of the show. I was surprised that Branson seemed to be so friendly with Stephen. But I just can't get rid of the feeling that he's just not a great guy, although I can't prove it one way or another.

Yes! They are seriously horrible. Almost to the point that it's hard to watch. Blech. You could have stopped there.

Once again, we are taken out by the Mets... 😄 It was a fun watch. Happy for Trey.

And taking the Friday before a long weekend off is great. I just wish Ali hadn't come on saying this would be a 2 hour version of The Rachel Maddow Show... without Rachel. I love Ali, and 2 hours of Ali is great, but don't try to tell me it's TRMS. It's okay to pre-empt your regularly scheduled shows for a holiday. Really. Also, when does Ali sleep?

My team is terrible and the humidity is about 1000%, but I'm having a lovely day at the ballpark.

I came into the living room about half-way through this and still haven't watched the beginning. But the second half is lovely!

Never post before the game is over... 😄 I'm consoling myself by thinking that if we'd won today there would be no way we'd win tomorrow when I'm there. So now... we still won't win, but a girl can dream...

Okay. I'll admit that if that was his point (and it's a good point), it went totally over my dumb head. Maybe people need to have the good points stated out loud because (in my case anyway) deep, critical thinking isn't a strong skill. I was disappointed in the rant. I guess I just need things spelled out for me.
