The bit that's always got me perplexed is years ago when Cas couldn't tell Sam was soulless. He was as confused as everyone else until he rummaged around in Sam's stomach. Meanwhile the Alpha Vampire, the 'Truth God' woman, the Fairies, (and others, I think) could tell right away just by looking at Sam. As angels deal in souls and heaven and stuff, how come Cas was clueless? There's a zillion other WTF's too I guess? It's more apparent when you binge (as I did at that time) because an episode that was aired years ago, is only last week and very fresh in the mind when one binges. The WTFs stick out like a sore thumb. LOL

Is it Fentanyl he's supposed to be addicted to? How is he able to even function? I watch Intervention and that's one of the worst drugs to be hooked on in terms of day to day functioning, let alone managing all the cons and lies.

I really enjoyed the first CBB - not this season, tho. How could I cheer for any of them? The only HG I 'reasonably' liked was Tom. The rest were mostly loud, exhausting or bitchy and I'm convinced one HG was only there for the free food and accommodation.

Maybe I follow the wrong folk on twitter, but I find that out there beyond the couple of dozen of posters here at PrevTV that the fan favourite is definitely weighted towards Jared with Misha a close second. They are the more sympathetic characters. Even the 'squee' groups that consider themselves 'friends' of the show appear to favour Sam (IMO) or demand the brothers remain joined at the hip. The majority of viewers do not want 'tragedy' . It's the reason much of today's so-called 'drama' TV is the same syrupy rubbish (IMO). They've even woobified Negan apparently. However, I do believe that it is Jensen that the LA casting directors have their eyes on. He's been approached several times but can never get out of his contract. He's the better actor with a wider range (IMO). But I'm sensing the thrill of portraying the complex and complicated Dean Winchester is slowly fading for Jensen (my opinion). He cannot get his teeth into anything with these writers.

Someone mentioned warding wouldn't be any good against humans. But if memory serves me, during the BMoL season where Sam is being tortured in the basement Dean is stopped from entering to save Sam by a BMoL sigil painted on the basement doors. I think I was posting at IMDb at the time because I remember a whole discussion why they wouldn't use the sigil to stop humans entering the bunker (or even anywhere else). It seemed such a handy dandy thing, (but probably a writers' nightmare I guess). But Baby being stolen so easily was just a plot ploy that really went nowhere. Still, I supposed Dean felt Baby was safe on the streets of Lebanon. But I lock my car ALWAYS even if I'm just returning the trolley at the supermarket. I'm almost sad that JDM was available for this episode. I would've so enjoyed a story about the boys and their hometown - maybe something along the lines of It's a Wonderful Life.

I'm having so much trouble with this new setup. A thin column of text with a couple of words per line. I cannot 'like' or 'quote' anything either for some damn reason. But I really liked and agree with your post *Bergamot. You always put into words what I'm thinking. Especially this in a nutshell... "the story of the Winchesters was never the stirring story of two starry-eyed boys who grew up to be big victorious heroes and become THE GUYS WHO SAVE THE WORLD. It is not about that kind of triumph -- it is about a tragedy." It is about a tragedy indeed, and that's what sucked me in right at the start and made Supernatural different from all other fodder on TV. Now it's lightweight and manipulative and mostly doesn't make sense.

It had to lack substance and torment because that’s what today’s fans seem to want, plus it’s a milestone episode and The CW is not HBO. I was expecting a sentimental overdose (similar to 200). And that’s exactly what we got. As a show runner I would’ve added a grim reminder of Michael banging inside Dean’s head but this was obviously going to be a syrupy offering to appease fans. So not too many complaints because I didn’t have expectations. Except I don’t think anyone in the TV industry knows how real teens behave. And stealing Baby? Dean!! When are you going to ward your Baby so she is safe and protected? You surely know how. Instead of teens and a miscellaneous clown ghost, I’d much rather they’d spent the opening scenes with the brothers on the streets of Lebanon interacting with the inhabitants. That would’ve been more entertaining and something we never see. A day in the life kind of thing. Maybe the boys trying on flannel to add to their collection? The writers get themselves into pickles with timelines, etc., but I don’t let that bother me too much. And a shout out to Jared – who’s spent much of his time this season looking down his nose and frowning and sighing – but not the past three episodes. He done good. Jensen, of course, pulls at our heartstrings every time. He allows us inside Dean. A month hiatus will not bode well for ratings. Jensen’s going to be acting his heart out as he rids himself of Michael – but no one will be watching I fear.

I don't know where to post this, so I'll try here. Under the new format all I see is a narrow column of text when reading posts in a topic thread. I have a big wide computer screen that's three quarters empty now. How do I change this? Anyone know?

She was lucky she didn't develop those gross lymphatic growths on her legs. That's what usually sends them to their beds as they can no longer walk. The show needs a shake up in formula. It's all beginning to seem like the same episode only featuring a different obese patient. They could lose the opening shower scenes for instance. No need for that assault on our eyeballs. I'm in reasonable shape and not overweight, but I wouldn't want a camera crew watching me in the bathroom. It's humiliating. The bathroom is a private place.

I think the Buffy series handled Buffy's return from heaven so much better. She was odd and distant and audiences really didn't know why - until her heartfelt admission to Spike. The writers haven't bothered to tell us anything except what a super duper hunter she is/was. We don't know what Mary is thinking or feeling from one episode to the next For me the character is a fail on the part of the actress and the writers. And I do believe TPTB are aware and attempting to fix things.

I have recently subscribed to the Rogers IGNITE (Canada). And really like it. I especially like the option to 'restart' a show if you've - say - missed the first ten minutes. I watch live and record and then get the season blu-ray as a Christmas prezzie. I have every season except 12. Although when the show truly does end I'm sure they'll come out with a fantastic boxed set with all kinds of scrumptious extras. There's never quite been a show like this. And after all this time it's still the two leads that carry all the weight. The Vampire Diaries was ok for 3 seasons but then they had to bring in a whole bunch of extra characters to prop up the Salvatore brothers - who'd become tiresome and repetitive by then. Not the Winchesters, tho...

I have to agree. I can't really remember last CBB season, but I do remember that I enjoyed it and never missed an episode. I might not bother to stay with this till the end. I can't root for anyone. I don't like anyone. I watch for clever game play and maybe even some back stabbing. But this crew just seem loud, nasty and not very smart. I do, however, enjoy the short quick season and lack of production interference. The summer BB just goes on for toooooo long.

They used to have a stage-hand spray a bucket of blood against the wall. And that was fine for me. I don't want to see porn gore either. It's a crazy world when you can watch raw bloody torture scenes, but if someone says 'shit' it's censored.

I retweet everything with the supernatural hashtag before and after the show. But I’m in Canada so I don’t know if it counts?
-
It's not such a good mix of "celebrities" as last season. Or maybe it's the editing?
-
I wonder what Jensen and Jared will be doing today 🤣
-
Shame the demo is dropping. We’re seeing some of the best acting ever compared to some of the other offerings out there.

I had to smile... someone plaintively tweeted “we’ll never see Jensen Ackles in anything else will we?”...

S02.E07: Head of Household #3; Nominations #3

I could've watched more footage of that haunted house. That was fun... and they made it real creepy. I think the first season was a better mix of celebrities, but I am enjoying this season more than I thought. I can't believe the most annoying HG got the special power. I want her gone. -
S03.E10: Buying a Town (Part 2)

I dunno. I think if I was of criminal intent I'd rob a bank in downtown Clearwater. The streets are deserted and the police would have to check with the CO$ first to see if they'd be allowed to stop harassing people in the park to go chase bank robbers. All those police officers standing about... what a joke. I'm making this light - but actually this episode hit me in the gut so hard. That poor woman. I was thinking about it all night long. I really hope this expose will achieve something. At least take away their tax exemption.- 133 replies

You're not kidding! I haven't watched Phil for weeks but a winter storm kept me home and I saw this episode. I don't think she was bluffing either. I don't know what kind of help she needs, but she needs heavy duty mental help or therapy or something. And Phil just lets her walk away. Why are prisoners even allowed to indulge in love affairs with complete strangers? It's so dangerous.

It was the same with Julian's Death too. Maybe it's Dean's handsome good looks and charisma? It's an intriguing relationship that the writers dangle in front of us but don't seem much bothered to explore . I wish there'd been some fallout from Dean killing Death. In the scheme of things it was a pretty darn colossal happening yet ... nothing, nada. And I don't think Julian had another gig. He was the perfect Death, although Billie has grown on me.

S02.E05: Head of Household #2; Nominations #2
Pondlass1 replied to Lady Calypso's topic in Celebrity Big Brother (US)
I wish they’d stop with the diary room talking heads. It’s so obviously scripted, and the HGs go over the top. We really don’t need the THs in any reality show, they are fake and jump me right out of the action. -
I've said this before. It's the unfortunate expressions and lack of warmth. The mother actress on the show Fear The Walking Dead had the same problem. Her cold expression did not match the words coming out of her mouth. Plus the writers had her caring about everyone but her son and she was super zombie hunter overnight. Fans complained and I think she died (or the show's over?). It's the same with Mary IMO. I complain a lot about acting on TV series. It's dreadful most of the time. No one talks like that in real life. All affected and over the top. It jumps me out of any series I'm watching and I'd be thinking Who talks/reacts like that? It's why I zeroed in on Jensen right from the start. What Dean's thinking/feeling/saying all seems real to me. Even if he's not got script, he's right there in the scene reacting to what's going on. It's what got me hooked into this show actually. No matter how dire the script, I knew I was going to see some good acting.
