  1. I must say.. that’s an unfortunate photo of Robert considering the Batman announcement Re Lucifer. I’ll admit it lost me and I didn’t bother with season 3 but the Netflix deal is less clownish and darker which is what most want I think. I can recommend. I just wish they’d lose the murder of the week concept. I know she’s a detective, but there’s a lot of crazy interesting celestial characters and solving some miscellaneous murder every week is just humdrum it won’t happen of course but a crossover episode with Supernatural could’ve been fun and Tom’s as tall as Jared. Haha.
  2. I grew up in London. My parents never owned a car. I took the Tube to get to school from a young age. It's a whole different kettle of fish for Texas Jared, who probably only rode a train a few times in his life. America is all about the car. I doubt Jared would even know that stopping one train stops them all. But it was a pretty stupid thing to do. It's not like the train's going to reverse back to the station so they can pop out and grab the bag. I do think that had Dick S not been accompanying them, we probably wouldn't have heard a thing about it. And I also wonder if DS wasn't the instigator. I'm sure Jared had no problem paying the hefty fine. And I'm sure he feels bad about it to this day. We all do one big stupid thing in our lives.
  3. I don't know how casting is decided but this seems an odd choice. He's short, thin and scrawny isn't he? I have to admit I've never seen him in anything. Maybe Jensen could play the bad guy adversary. 🤣
  4. I felt so bad for the catfish gent. He seemed to take it well. I'd be fuming - all that hard earned money gone to a bunch of scammers. They be bleeping like crazy if it had been me. I found Phil's comment interesting - the scammers leave in the spelling and grammar mistakes as a test to see if the victim is lonely and desperate enough to overlook. It boggles my mind that this is still going on as we speak despite all the warnings. An elderly lady on our local TV news received a call from her 'grandson' who was in dire trouble and she was told to wire money to a name. Which she did right away. TWICE in fact. Before phoning her daughter and learning her grandson was just fine. Why wouldn't she phone her daughter right away? It boggles the mind. She said she panicked and was instructed to wire the money immediately .
  5. I don't judge, I'm just forever surprised at what Jensen wears. Of course he looks good in anything. There was some kind of publicity thing a few years ago with a zillion photos being taken and he showed up in a beige old man's cardigan. A part of me admires him. He wears what he wants because he likes it not because he wants to be 'cool' or impress. Danneel seems to be the same. And their home is not exactly standard Homes & Gardens, but comfy and different. Sofas that twirl, etc. Even their children's names are not what you'd call ordinary. However, having said all that - I still don't like those hats he's taken a fancy to wearing lately. LOL Expect the unexpected when it comes to the Ackles family.
  6. But that’s the K1 visa for couples wanting to be married. A Moroccan man cannot simply vacation in the US for a couple of weeks and then return home? Is there not a regular visa for visitors wanting a holiday that he could use?
  7. Jensen always surprises me with his choice in clothes. From old man sweaters to bright blue plaid suits - doesn't matter the guy looks hot in anything. ( I have to admit I do like the flowered Hawaiian type short sleeve shirts on him, tho, and would like to see more).
  8. This is why Survivor has lost me. Too many idols. Too much production manipulation. You can almost figure who'll be voted out because they get the biggest edit during the episode. And when two contestants go off down the beach for a supposed 'secret' discussion a whole camera crew must follow them judging by the various close up and variety of camera angels. It's too edited and formulaic now. Let's get back to basics again ....and get rid of those annoying idols for a season.
  9. What's going on with Sonja? She's even giddier and crazier than ever - talking non stop about nothing flapping and waving her arms about. In fact, all the NY ladies are so much more animated than the joyless Beverley Hills bunch. Is it something in the NY water?
  10. Dabb is jealous of Jensen. And he's pissed because his stupid ideas for spinoffs didn't pan out.
  11. For anyone who enjoys Jensen and music. Jensen’s vocal range. I don’t always like the songs he picks, but the boy can sing.
  12. This was a family saddled with the full blown addiction gene starting with the grandparents and passed on down the line. It only seemed to have skipped the aunt (or whoever she was). One day maybe researchers will figure out how to intercept the 'pleasure' receptors in the brain so that any narcotic dulls pain only. No 'highs'. And when they're young and addicted like these kids they never learn how to handle the bad things in life. I remember one addict saying that life was so ugly and dirty when she was sober. I wish this family well, but I don't have much hope especially if they return to that depressing town. *The mother needs to lay off the white eyeliner pencil Yikes!
  13. @Flyingwoman So envious. I wish I was a Supernatural virgin and just starting out again with fresh clean expectations. Every season has at least 2-5 really really good episodes, but seasons 1-4 are simply the best. The acting is top notch throughout all seasons. As you watch you will likely find yourself rooting for one brother over the other which will influence your feelings around certain plots. Supernatural is the only network series I got into with a passion. When it's over next year I'll go back to being normal again (hopefully). So fasten your seat-belts. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
  14. Why didn’t he just suggest he fly to Germany and give her the money? That would’ve ended it right away. Poor foolish man.
  15. Why can't Azan come for a vacation in Florida and roll about on the beach with Nicole? I haven't been an avid watcher, so maybe I've missed something and he's banned. But South Korea for a sexy hook up? Seems like the last place I'd choose.
  16. I'm not even bothering to watch Dr. Phil these days. Even the catfish episodes don't tempt me like they used to. It's all the same. No matter the dire issue or crazy guest it's all the same. And so tightly controlled so Phil doesn't look foolish. It often seems like he's reading from a prompter or receiving info in his ear mic. He goes blank for seconds at a time. And I really wish the guests weren't all 'tarted' up for the show. It makes it seem even more fake than it is. The show needs a complete new revamp and different chairs for the guests too.
  17. Does the network supply free bedroom food? Because David and Annie really go to town and they do love handouts. Shrimp and then that weird looking pizza. Last week Annie cooked a meal on the night table. How can people eat in bed? It's horrible.
  18. Russ had to have worked in BC because he did the location scouting. Many of the buildings we saw were built overnight by crews and they did a fantastic job. But he dealt with the lot down in LA which might have been difficult re timelines, etc. there was one instance where they built a cool looking church and the day of filming thick fog rolled in obliterating everything A frustrating job but ... toxic? Anyway I don’t care anymore. I wish the guy well in his new job
  19. Jensen never mentioned dysfunctional family ever to my knowledge. But Jared would use that expression at the beginning of conventions meaning - I always assumed - the supernatural fandom. Welcome to our dysfunctional family. I know Russ used to take a bus load of fans to certain shooting locations during the Vancouver convention. Has anyone here ever done that? What kind of a fellow is he?
  20. Yes, I agree. I guess you know 14 pounds is one stone. The Brit series is a bit more laid back and less in your face and sometimes the surgeon opens them up and other times he does a similar procedure to Dr. Now. I have seen the Brit doctor put them on a milk diet (of all things) to make their livers smaller. Dr. Now never does this. The Brits who've had the procedure all seem to lose drastic amounts of weight almost immediately. I don't live in the US but have had holidays and I'm always blown away by the size of proportions. I ordered oatmeal (porridge) at a restaurant. The waitress asked if I wanted a cup or a bowl. I opted for the bowl. Yikes...It was big enough to take a dip in, and she brought me pecans and cranberries and brown sugar and a little container of cream. I couldn't believe it. You'd never get this service in the UK.
  21. Russ did the scouting for locations. Which means he was in constant contact with the writing team and Dabb in terms of where the storyline was going and what kinds of scenery or locations were required. Toxic is a strong word but maybe it was a frustrating job with this batch of writers and no real direction from the showrunner. I think things on location in Vancouver were fine. Crew and actors seemed good friends and there are many YT videos of guest stars commenting on the 'family friendly' atmosphere on set. It is an odd tweet. I hope no more like this pop up as the show comes to an end.
  22. It seems to be that way lately. Dr Now really doesn't need to be there - although I do love his comebacks. It's all about the awful obese and their awful family these days. We're not rooting for them. We're laughing at them. It's entertainment. There's a British show on YouTube 'Fat Doctor' which is completely different if you want something completely different. It's got success stories and normal folk. But if you want entertainment and gross shock value... then this is the show for you.
  23. In my life experience I believe this to be true. Although Dr. Now warns them they may only have a year to live, none of them seem particularly bothered. And most of the morbidly obese we've seen are still going strong today (I do realize a couple have died). They all talk about being so stressed, but actually they have zero stress. They just lay back and bark orders. It's the people around them that are stressed to the hilt. And taxpayers are footing the bills so they have no money worries.
  24. Just like the landline phone, network TV is dying. If everyone wanted to continue I'm sure they could've got a deal with Netflix similar to Lucifer. There are a million stories still to be told about the supernatural world. But I think Jensen's star is on the rise.
  25. There's a video somewhere on YouTube (I think) of a convention panel that Bob Singer did. He was grilled quite a bit by fans but he often seemed at a loss to answer questions. At one point he says "it's only a show". He might have been there from the beginning and I do believe he had the respect of Jensen in terms of directing abilities, but he really didn't have the passion. And he saw the brothers as black and white - Sam was the smart one, Dean was the brawn. The complexity of their relationship over the years was completely lost on both him.... and his wife.
