  1. I wanted to smack that man so fucking hard for his hooker comments to Samantha Bee. I mean was I the only one who found him disgusting?? The fact that a man like that is allowed to be a police officer is horrifying.
  2. I haven't been following Sam as much lately because the news and the RNC are just too depressing. There really is no funny spin on any of this. We are going to end up with a terrorist for president and he is going to undo every good thing that has come to fruition in the past 8yrs. As a bi-woman and a friend of many in the LGBTQ community I am scared. The future vice president is one who believes in conversion therapy and wants to allow people to use religion as a reason to refuse service. Also this being a year where we lost a SCJ I can't even bring myself to imagine who the fuck will be nominated and put into that seat. The future is bleak and no amount of Sam Bee is going to make it better.
  3. I guarantee if golden buzzer girl didn't have a back story she would have NEVER gotten the golden buzzer. The song was boring, her voice was good but not great and her stage presence is severely lacking. The 6yr old comedian was cute but this is not the competition for him. They really need to put an age limit on this show. I don't want to see a bunch of kids make it through over adults that are either much better or do something that is actually entertaining. I didn't watch most of the shows this week because I hate George Lopez and cannot stand anyone from fucking 1 crap ass direction.
  4. My dad was watching this tonight and I happened to catch some of it. Good god it was horrible! Jesse Eisenberg was fucking terrible. He was definitely trying to re-capture the comedic/manic tone of Heath Ledger as Joker and failed MISERABLY. Please stop casting him Hollywood! I wanted Batman dead and for Superman to kill him. They should have made a 2nd Superman movie. This was a waste of money and time. Also the Bat suit during the Batman trying to kill Superman scene was hilariously horrible. Not even Wonderwoman could save this movie. Ben Affleck once again blows and I couldn't even enjoy Alfred this time around. Ugh. ETA Diane Lane once again knocks it out of the park as Momma Kent.
  5. Kate McKinnon is my newest celebrity crush. I've always liked her on SNL but this movie moved me from like to LOVE. She was perfection and I really hope her career skyrockets after this.
  6. Went to see the movie tonight. All I can say is that it is HILARIOUS!! The cast is fucking perfect. The writing, the story, the action, the direction is perfection! Kate McKinnon is definitely the stand out but the rest of the cast is great too! Kate reminded my dad and I of Madeline Kahn(we both are huge fans of her). The cameos by certain stars were brilliant and adorable(especially the last one)! It was so good I may just go see it again. Paul Feig once again has done a brilliant job of writing and directing a great comedy for women. I hope he continues to work with female comedians because he truly does right by them!! Make sure you stay for the credits and even the end of the credits because there is a scene at the end. The people in the theater loved it so much they were clapping at the end(myself included).
  7. Ugh. That's just so irresponsible. I mean you are hurting your child not yourself by doing something like that. It's not funny or cute. Same goes for Janet Jackson. She's 50 and I would be very surprised if that child doesn't have some sort of developmental issue when it is born. These people don't realize that it's the child who has to endure the harsh world and the cruel jokes. Yeah sure they are kids of celebrities but it still doesn't shield them from kids that are jerks and it doesn't shield them from the difficulty of having say a learning disability or a physical disability.
  8. ALL of "My Sisters Keeper". Just horrible and blood boiling.
  9. I feel super ashamed that I enjoy the song "FUN" featuring Chris Brown & Pitbull. I mean it's bad enough Pitbull is on it but then you add Chris I have anger issues Brown and it just makes it so much worse. I'll go sit in the corner now.
  10. I keep hoping Taylor Swift will get knocked down a peg or two or that her star will finally start to diminish. She can't sing for shit, her songs are simplistic pieces of shit and I think she is super fake and manipulative. I think most of the time she uses guys to come up with new material. I mean she's no longer a high school girl whose love sick and daydreaming. That's all her music has been. It's absolute dreck. I also think she isn't as clumsy or "dorky" as she pretends to be. She knows her audience and plays to it. I really hope Calvin fights back and continues to reveal her true persona.
  11. If I have to hear Taylor Swift one more time(pick a song any fucking song) I am going to fucking lose it. Same goes for that stupid "7 Years Old" by Lucas Graham. That song is terrible and his voice is annoying. Also the very stupid and annoying "Cake by the Ocean Floor" by DNCE. Go away Jonas Brothers!!!!
  12. OMG! My one co-worker is so creeped out by this song. LOL!!
  13. I just discovered Jess' solo work this week(I only knew the Clean Bandit No Place song) while watching a preview for (shudder) Bridget Jones's Baby. I started looking at her music and she has a cool voice and brings a real great R&B vibe. I'm hoping that she finds more success in the US. I also recently downloaded this little late 80's gem from Donny Osmond. Is it cheesy? You bet! Is it catchy? Yes. Is it totally 80's? Yes. Do I love it? Yes!
  14. Demi Lovato is NOT a good singer. She is what I call a screamer. She has no control in her vocals and I won't be surprised if she loses her voice in a few years. Celine Dion is an amazing singer no matter what she does. The woman has amazing control and power which is very hard. While Ariana Grande's voice isn't super great(Mariah 2.0 with the whistle notes and whispering) her music is catchy. I've also always felt Gloria Estefan is an underrated singer. She has done pop, latin, jazz, classical, disco. She still sounds amazing today. Another underrated artist is Donna Summer. Up until the month she passed she was still killing it vocally. It's too bad that she came out during the disco era because it really minimized her abilities.
  15. Not surprised that OITNB was shut out Last season was HORRIBLE. I am going to have to start watching The Americans. Super thrilled for Lily Tomlin, Anthony Anderson, Tracy Ellis Ross & Kate McKinnon. Too bad that Kate is in the same category as Allison Janney(who I do like) because nobody has ever beaten Janney at the Emmy's. I'm hoping Courtney B Vance wins because he's always been great in what he's in. I'm hoping that Ellen Burstyn takes home the Emmy for her guest stint on HOC. I'm relieved that Gaga wasn't nominated for her role on AH. She wasn't good and if she had been nominated that would have made things worse. I have to say as much as I love Tina Fey I'm kind of getting sick of her. Amy though is just a gem and I will never get tired of her. Super thrilled for RuPaul's nomination. It is MUCH deserved!! So Emmy voters in the words of RuPaul "DON'T fuck it up!!"
  16. This clip comes from one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies "Get Over It" The brilliant Madeline Kahn in "Blazing Saddles" While it may not be PC I still love this musical number from the hilarious "History Of The World Part 1"
  17. I think Angela Lansbury did a much better job than Meryl Streep playing Eleanor Shaw in "The Manchurian Candidate". I also think the original is better than the remake.
  18. I love this scene from "Tommy Boy"!! I loved this music video from "Music & Lyrics" The movie and music were a perfect combo. This was such a great scene from "10 Things I hate about You"! Heath was perfect in this movie. Julie Andrews was perfection in this number from "Darling Lili"
  19. Ellie from "UP" that was so hard to watch. Charlotte in Charlottes Web(the old animated film). That end scene with her and Wilbur destroys me every time. John Coffey from "The Green Mile". As if the characters death wasn't sad enough watching it now knowing MCD has passed makes it even sadder. Bubba & Forrest Gump's mom dying are just two of the reasons I don't watch that movie unless I want to sob.
  20. I'm really hoping that this movie helps/doesn't hurt Kate's career. I want to see her do really well when she decides to leave SNL.
  21. Let me just start out by saying Gerald was my favorite. His face just cracked me up and when he finally got his moment I the rock I laughed so damn hard. Baby Dory was precious and I loved all the new characters. Dory trying to say Open Ocean but getting it wrong was hilarious. I cried a few times during the movie. The moment that really got me was seeing all the shells that the parents had placed around the house. This movie was so well done and it didn't have many of the cliches I thought it would have. The short before the movie was adorable times 10. I just wanted to reach through the screen and cuddle that bird.
  22. See now I didn't care for Zootopia. It just wasn't funny enough for me and was quite frustrating to watch. I really, really liked Finding Dory and this movie. Gidget & Chloe were my favorites. The voices for them were just dead on! I loved how the animators captured the little things that animals do and how they react to things. My biggest complaint was that there was too much sewer animals & the rabbit. I have to say the minions short at the beginning made me long for another Despicable Me movie.
  23. I'm super pumped to see this because I will watch anything with Kate McKinnon in it.
  24. Julia was my favorite on Designing women. I loved her rants/speeches and I loved her facial expressions. I just loved the way Dixie Carter could deliver certain lines (ie when she was telling Charline what the construction workers yelled at her). It also doesn't hurt that I have always had a huge crush on her. She was always amazing looking.
