I miss the cheese and elegance that was this show. I remember when Jonathan and Anna would come out and do a beautiful ballroom number. Cheryl, Karina, Tony, Louis would come out and do an insane latin number. I miss the artists that came on(ie Barry Manilowe, Gloria Estefan, etc) and sing their hits while the pros danced. Now the pro numbers basically consist of posing, flashing your crotch, whipping your hair around, and more posing. I am hoping to see a group dance this season because I loved those. It was fun to see the contestants joking around and becoming friends with each other. The show has lost a lot of the fun/cheese that it used to have.

Oh my god! That is priceless! The audience definitely missed out on some great comedy. I really hope they air it because I want to see Toms reaction and comments.

Tony is just a gem. I really wanted to see his audition tape the other night. I hope that they either air it or put it up on the site if they don't show them all. He has been so fantastic with Betsey(no surprise) and you can tell she just adores working with him. I hate that he usually gets contestants that are either old or a joke but I get why they do it. I can't imagine any of these ladies being able to work with any of the younger pros.

That's my frustration with this week as well. Bruno mentioned her one little misstep and that was it. Len didn't think she could do it(ouch) then told her it was great and well the other two obviously gushed. Why bother having judges if they aren't going to judge? Lea seems to be the kind of person would take the criticism and work her ass of to correct her mistakes.

I didn't see anything wrong with his comment. He seems like a nice guy. I doubt that he would be nasty to her especially since he seems to think the world of her. I like their partnership a lot.

Who won the pro audition video vote?

Betsey and Leas movie previews were hilarious. Why are they putting Sadie in the bottom group of people?? There is no way she needs help in the votes. By the way Kevin heart as a judge is just a big pile of bs. Why can't we bring in actual dancers from the world of ballroom to judge? As soon as it was down to Waltrip and Tavis I knew Tavis was gone. I'm going to miss Sharna. I liked the A-Z dance segment that was cute. Edited to add: I was really pissed that they had viewers vote on the encore. Of course Janel was goig to win! This is one of the reasons I stopped watching the show.

I feel bad for him. He has serious potential and his partner is killing it. Her choreo last night was an abomination. I hope he stays and gets to redeem himself.

I wonder if she just gets so into the dance that she just doesn't notice her posture is slipping. I know when I'm enjoying my time on the dance floor I'm not thinking about my posture. I hope that Artem notices this and gets her to work on it. Ballroom is definitely going to be her strong suit. It's the closest to ballet in terms of technique.

Julianne continues to offer nothing to the judging panel. Watching her try to be cute and creative with her comments is hard to watch. I have to mute her when she's on. Her and Carrie Ann can leave anytime. I really hope that when Len leaves it won't be Julianne taking his place. She has nowhere near the experience and charm that Len has. I could see Travis going home tonight. His dance was in the middle of the show, he didn't do that well and he wasn't super happy about the situation. That combined with a lot of people not remembering he is on the show could knock him out. I don't think Betsy or Tommy will go home tonight. Tommy probably has a few more weeks left and betsy probably has another week or two becasue people love fun personalities.

Was is just me or did anyone else think Len flubbed his score for Bethany last night. I think he was going to give her an 8 and then gave her a 9 by accident. It sounded like he was about to say 8 and then pulled out the 9 paddle.

I liked her dance last night but she didn't have enough flicks and kicks. She was miles better than some of the others though and actually danced a jive. The song she picked was spot on. Oakgoblinfly I felt the same way until I saw her scores last night. They were quite high and normally a jive with hardly any flicks and kicks(which is a major jive element) you don't get that kind of score. I actually voted last night because I would hate to see her go home so early.

Fun fact: Lea and Alfonso both participated in a little show called Celebrity duets. I had totally forgotten that. By the way Toms comments to Len after Carrie Ann fell were hilarious.

I think Leas scores are a reaction to her vote totals. The dances tonight were so off base. I mean really very few of the dances had actual steps from the dance they were assigned. Derek and Bethany's dance was crap, Alfonso didn't have enough samba and the list goes on. Lea may not have had a lot of kicks/flicks but she at least did a jive. I hate the rumba and Antonio once again just wasn't comfortable with the dance. This was a HORRIBLE idea for a theme week.

I wonder if the song "Because I got High" would be an appropriate song for the show. Maybe an instrumental version so they don't have to say high? It could be used as his exit song. :^) By the way do we know if that is the dance order for tonight?

You are correct Catgyrl. I must be the one that is high. As a Gloria fan I should have known that. That should be fun to watch then. Yay!

Peta must have been super high when she let him pick that song. It's a slow, ballad by Gloria Estefan that was used in one of the olympic games. Lea's song is perfect for a jive, Tavis' song will make for a good time, Alfonso's dance will be fun but won't quite work with the music, Johnathans song choice could go either way. The rest just don't make a lot of sense.Janel(if she wanted to stay current) should have picked Clean bandits "No place I'd rather be" that wouldn't go badly with a ballroom dance. I chalk it up to the fact that most of them are younger and so they may not know too much older music to make a good choice.

It's really too bad that this is her last season. I would have loved for her to have a better partner. Antonio is going to get lost in the mix and they will probably be out early on. She has been my favorite pro for years and I'm going to miss seeing her on the show. I always loved how she was with her partners, tough but caring. Her season with Gilles was incredible. I also loved her with Jack Osbourne. I hope that the show does a little tribute to her or something because I think she deserves to go out with a bang.

He was a blast to watch. I can't wait to see what he and Whitney do next.

According to her twitter she and Artem are dancing . I am hoping that she is not going to get lost in the shuffle because so far I like her dancing and I am enjoying Artem. I knew of Lea and her experience but I didn't expect her to be one of my favorites. I would love to see her and Alfonso in the finale.
