  1. Rotten banana at her mother and medicine ball directly at her mother's face without any notice.
  2. I think there is an aspirational element to it. If they form a parasocial relationship and are drawn into her orbit they may begin to live the same life as her.
  3. Why the he** doesn't Glenn intervene when he has heard her be so disrespectful? He may not have been within earshot for the two instances which were filmed but it can't be that she has done it only twice. He should have shut that kind of nonsense down a long time ago along with the photo of him over her bed. It's not exactly as if she would shut him out of her life (as Meghan did for Thomas Markle). She's far too enmeshed to ever do that.
  4. That is entirely possible. I will have to look for the article I read somewhere around 2015. Interesting that they may have changed.
  5. I was once a faithful viewer of the GBBO but when Mary Berry left I did as well. I had seen articles about the new cast and especially that most people did not find Matt to be funny. Apologies if this has been discussed in previous seasons but he and David Walliams were in a sketch comedy show called Little Britain which I absolutely loved.. His alopecia really was useful when it came to dressing in drag. If you haven't seen it I think some sketches can be fond on YouTube. I just tuned in to the current season and could not believe how much weight Matt had lost. I don't think some of my favorite characters that he played would be as funny unless he wore a fat suit. Namely Vicky Pollard, Marjorie Dawes of Fat Fighters and the LADIES who were in full Victorian costume but had facial hair.
  6. Several years ago I read an article about the workings of the show. There is a large staff behind the room that we are shown who are constantly washing the vessels and implements that the contestants use. There was a real concern about the dishwashing making noise which would be picked up on the mikes. Something I never thought about was that the artist's rendering is done after the bake has been completed not in anticipation that it would turn out well. You could say that there is some artistic license since some disasters look nothing like the illustration. What I found especially interesting is that there were one or two people on the set to run to the grocers if someone had to redo their bake since it would have been expensive to have two or three times the amount of an exotic ingredient on hand.
  7. Feeling a bit like the WWT historian here. Someone who had gone to high school with her has posted to Reddit in the past. She said that Twit hung out with the drama kids and was always "extra". Which leads me to surmise that it was the drama kids who nominated her for prom queen. I feel that they banded together to have one of their own competing with the cheerleaders.
  8. I am almost certain that she wrote IN HER OWN BOOK that she was NOT the prom queen. She was nominated but did not win. Thus, a princess. If she had been queen you could be sure the photo she would be circulating would be her, the prom king and her court instead of one taken by her parents at a later date. She is not even wearing her prom gown in the latter, it is hanging on a door in the background while she is dressed casually, holding flowers, and wearing her "whittle tiara".
  9. Haven't seen it yet but it is likely. "The loving daughter" called out her mother attempting to do something with her "stroke hand" when they were in Maine. The dislike I have of this overgrown toddler has no bounds. She uses every opportunity to expose other's weaknesses while laughing about them..
  10. Even with a kitchenette she would have to make the effort to go shopping. It seems as if it would be more trouble for her. She is accustomed to ordering out and not picking up her own groceries. The assistants probably did her grocery shopping. I doubt if she was responsible for that cauliflower crust pizza that Buddy made for them.
  11. Perhaps Glenn sees the possibility that Twit will lose weight when she is in AL. Food isn't always available, portions are controlled somewhat and with set dining room hours she will have only a window of opportunity for each meal. (I say this as someone who has visited parents in an upscale AL There was a self serve soft ice cream machine but when it was empty it wasn't filled until the next day. Once again, I speak from experience.😁)
  12. If it is true that not only is Glenn staying there but also Twit that is not only insane but outrageous. Given how intrusive she is I wouldn't be surprised if her actions result in her mother being released sooner than originally scheduled. Maybe they asked her to lead the dance class to give her something to do but the clip I saw was uncomfortable to watch for a minute or so. Imagine her being there full time while her parents are in residence.
  13. I always liked Josh Levin and was glad to see him back and getting all the way to stage 4. I was surprised he couldn't climb the rope faster given his relatively young age, experience, technique and conditioning. Once he finished his climb with the slowest time I thought that Jay might succeed and if not, be the last Ninja standing. That continuous rope that he trained on in CT and his weight and strength I thought he would succeed. I was impressed with the elegance with which Jay, Josiah and Josh ran the course on stage 3. And, given his hard life I am always impressed that RJ does so well. In my day the rockers I knew were up all night, slept all day and certainly didn't have healthy lifestyles. As a matter of fact they would comment on their pallor and lack of muscle tone.
  14. Totally agree. However, I went to high school in a small rural town about an hour from NYC. One of my classmates wasn't especially beautiful but was tall and gangly and wore weird non descript clothing. Well, her mother had been taking her into the city for modeling contracts and when she was in Seventeen magazine she was unrecognizable and BREATHTAKING. It was hard to believe it was the same person. So, who knows what kind of magic hair, makeup, lighting and angles can do for Magda.
  15. According to her book, she knew him when they were both in High School. She said that Buddy was a friend of her boyfriend at the time. ( I don't doubt that she had her eye on him because he was in a rock band and looked much more presentable than he does now. What I do doubt is that he was a friend of her boyfriend because I can't attest that she had a boyfriend.) She did have a date for the prom but SHE WAS NOT HOMECOMING QUEEN. She was in the running and therefore a member of the Court. That weird photo of her holding the roses while wearing very casual clothing and her tiara was taken after the fact. by Glenn or Babs. Source: her book. There is a picture of her in a very tight pink gown with her prom date. She recounts in her book how she ate the pre-prom dinner and induced vomiting. I wouldn't be surprised if she hadn't thought the original photo of her being named as Prom Princess was flattering enough and posed for another one a few days later. So, after a miraculous pizza delivery by Buddy and she recognized him because she had been crushing on him earlier. Now that we have seen how she acts I wouldn't be surprised if she had heard that he was delivering pizza and tried several places until she found the one for which he worked. Somewhere on line is a video of a much younger Buddy going to a restaurant with his band and ordering an enormous sandwich which was free if it could be dispatched in an allotted period of time. (Spoiler alert he started off strong but slowed down and failed the challenge.)
  16. Agreed but I find his aggressive sexual comments even less attractive. He thinks he is cute but I find him off-putting.
  17. Perhaps because it is a fairy tale I watch The Girls Next Door when I can't go to sleep so I watched this series to see a different perspective. I recently saw the GND episode where Hef goes through his scrapbooks to show his other girlfriends over the years to Holly, Bridget, Kendra. There were brief interviews with some of them and what I found astounding was how differently Sondra Theodore presented herself and her relationship with Hef. First, her teeth and elocution were not disordered at all. And most amazing were her positive statements about the relationship with Hef. I think she used terms like "dream come true". There wasn't a hint of sadness or bitterness which makes me wonder if the girls who have spoken out against their time at the mansion have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome and some have come to terms with the truth and some, namely Barbi and Kendra have not.
  18. I didn't have to track down the episode and rewatch. This People article ps://uk.movies.yahoo.com/whitney-way-thore-gets-help-172834007.html shows her holding it and stating that it doesn't work for applying the Chub-Rub cream. So yes, she does have one it is just up to conjecture if the production company supplied it or not.
  19. This may prove confirmation bias where Whitney is concerned. If i can find old episodes I need to rewatch the episode where I thought I saw her trying to use it to apply Chub-Rub Cream. I appreciate your well reasoned arguments although I would take issue with you defining her as a competent adult and, as with anything it depends upon one's definitions. We no longer see the amount of care she actually requires and for that matter we no longer see her attempting to cook or even eating the large amount of unhealthy food we once did.
  20. Passing Strange you bring up some good points. Do you think she had the "wiping stick" that wouldn't function as a Chub-Rub cream applicator was supplied by the production company, or, was it something Whitney already owned? I concur that she needs an emotional caregiver at the very least. She seems isolated and depressed. She stopped maturing at pre-adolescence. Take a look at the clip that was posted by this forum's moderator where Whitney says "bed" wrinkles up her nose and raises her shoulders. That is body language often seen in toddlers who think they have done something cute. I have never seen that behavior in a mature adult.
  21. Todd had to fasten her shoes for the ballroom dance competition and she said as much. Of course, it may have been scripted but it was in the early days when the show was more organic.
  22. Having her house painted, and the numerous changes in decor, are similar to all the tweaks she has made to her appearance. She's spending money for changes that are not substantive. .
  23. Any excuse for forced male contact. I believe the dude is Jacob, the producer for Pilgrim Media. Several paid boyfrends ago Twhit was posting pictures of them together which lead her ridiculous fans to comment that they made a beautiful couple.
  24. Agree with Princelina. It's the ethos of the participation trophy culture. Here is a woman who is making a living by trying multiple things and being mediocre or failing at them all while bleating that she was triumphant in some way or other.
  25. I got quite a kick out of seeing her shoes. Never saw a professional pole dancer wearing those things. Maybe the former professional pole dancer from a few comments ago chime in on this.
