  1. No argument there. I recall him prepping for the CPR test. He absolutely loved knowing everyone in town and being known by everyone.
  2. And that is the reason I find the twins to be so distasteful. All the details about his bad behavior are perfectly acceptable, but what are the benefits of telling about the infirmities of aging which were beyond his control? Reflects very badly on them.
  3. I thought that he had been a virgin until I learned that he had been paying for camgirls. Now I wonder if he had visited a worker of the world's oldest profession at some point in the past. However, probably it wasn't recent since he was so proud of his performance with X and was looking for a compliment. Also he probably used his money for a camgirl instead of a callgirl.. Who knows, the local call girls may have stopped taking his calls given his hygiene issues and general creepiness. Regarding his claim that he was a volunteer firefighter. My old, out of shape, non physically active brother was a volunteer at his local fire department for years. He did their books on a non professional basis (think along the lines of Quickbooks) and directed traffic at fires. I know, he even gave me a baseball cap that says Fire Police with the name of his fire department emblazoned thereon. He also oversaw their venison dinner fundraiser. So, my point is that to be a volunteer firefighter in a volunteer fire department doesn't necessarily mean that there is fire fighting involved.
  4. Since this series has been airing I have gone back to watch GND as well as Holly's World. I realized that the last season of GND had really lost whatever interest it might have had for me and most of that was because of the twins. I agree with all those of us who said they were crass, sketchy and possibly even skanky. I found them to be stupid and boring. The last episode has borne that out. They are still stupid (lots of inconsistencies) and boring (same old same old). During the last season of GND they were just LOUD. Kendra was stupid and loud as well but her spirit compensated a bit. (I say stupid because when the trio went to Alaska and Holly bought a Puffin for Hef Kendra picked some other stuffed animal in the gift shop and tried to make that into her pet name for Hef. I think that her blatant selfishness was stupid because it wasn't self-sustaining. I mean, you can only get away with constantly being late or disorganized so many times. The last year of GND is interesting because the third girl was Crystal. I have been watching to see whether she and Hef had a different connection than Hef and Holly since he went on to marry one and strung the other along for so many years.
  5. Has anyone watched Holly's World? I'm a little skeptical about her feelings toward Hef. After she had moved out of the mansion (and apparently had stayed with Mary for 6 months) after she had moved to Las Vegas and started starring in her show she went back to the mansion to "congratulate" Hef on his engagement. First, she visited Mary in her office and asked her if Hef was happy with Crystal. (I have got to hand it to Mary, for being very truthful yet diplomatic in telling Holly that she had been missed but that Hef and Crystal were very happy with each other.) Then, Hef met her while she was visiting with the animals. She had tears in her eyes and told him that she was glad that he was happy. They later went into the mansion where she gave Hef a hand drawn comic book in miniature to go with the exact replica of Hef's childhood home that she had commissioned for him but had been completed after she had left. Crystal came down to visit and Holly threatened her (half jokingly) that she had better take good care of Hef. Okay, it might have been scripted but she did genuinely seem sad regardless of the things she was saying to appear to be happy for Hef and happy in her own life. YMMV
  6. He must be thinking about his own capital investments. 😉
  7. I'm truly sorry for what your child has had to endure. I'm not sure if I ever referred to Ben's eye in this forum but when I see his face I think something along the lines of "self inflicted facial deformation because of his toxic narcissism"
  8. I hope someone is asked what they know about the tunnels which were supposed to link the mansion to the houses of nearby neighbors, namely James Caan, Kirk Douglas, Warren Beatty and Jack Nicholson. Somewhere on the internet I have seen the builder's plans for them but of course it all may be an urban legend and the blueprints might have been faked as well. https://www.ocregister.com/2015/03/30/secret-tunnels-were-built-under-the-playboy-mansion-to-give-stars-easy-access-magazine-says/ The tunnels were discussed at length a few years back. I once worked for a hospital where underground tunnels were built to link several buildings that were a distance away. They had been retrofitted after the original building had been constructed. Using them was the fastest way from point A to point B, and, they were nice to use in cold and stormy weather.
  9. Until I learned that Mary had been either a Bunny or Playmate when she was younger it always seemed strange that she was so unfazed by the shenanigans at the mansion. Now it all makes sense. Although Hef had the arm candy in GND he seemed to have a definite connection with Mary when they were together in her office. Also, Mary's significant other was known as Captain Bob. Enty lawyer had a blind item about the way Hef had destroyed the tapes in the secret vault was to go out into the ocean and drop them overboard. This was somewhat confirmed in the latest episode. If he died before he could accomplish it himself Mary was tasked to carry it out.
  10. As someone who has transited the Atlantic by ship more times than I can count since the age of 5 I feel like I can comment on this. I take a ship to get somewhere. It is a very nice way to visit interesting locations and have food, a comfortable bed, and my belongings waiting for me if I spend the day in Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, or, anywhere else on the planet. The type of conspicuous consumption on these shows makes no sense to me. It is so weird to see the guests go to a beach on the mainland that is already being used by tourists for what is billed as a "luxury" picnic. The people on the Below Deck shows have more money to be spending ostentatiously than good sense or basic manners. The ultra wealthy have their own vessels and staff. Sidenote: I was in Bermuda during the America's Cup races a few years ago. The ultra wealthy who wanted to watch the races aboard their own vessels arranged to have them shipped over on cargo ships rather than under their own power. Most of the yahoos on Below Deck equate being difficult, having impossible demands, and being rude with being upper class. I don't think they realize that old money more often than not treat the people that work for them with kindness and respect. There are many instances of the help being named in the will of one of the people they had served for many years.
  11. What I find amusing is that on least two occasions we have heard him gloatingly ask X if the sex the previous night was really fantastic. Because it was for him (real life woman). Both times she shrugged her shoulders and was luke warm e.g. "ok" or "average". I hope he re-watches however, people rarely see what an objective observer sees on a video.
  12. Evidently he has been cast in "The Single Life" which is being filmed at the moment.
  13. Yes. same abusive a**hat. He was also in a few of the episodes of GND when Victoria was expecting and the girlfriends had a baby shower for her. I am surprised he was being interviewed since it was Victoria who had the first hand knowledge. Oh, by the way they are divorced.
  14. Or, Whitney Way Thore who regularly uses it as a term of "endearment" with her friends as well as her business partner Jessica who does all the work on the fitness video.
  15. It's even more ironic that her specialty is in counseling and mental health services. (Her Yelp reviews are what you would expect e.g. not stellar. ) And I wouldn't be surprised if she is incapable of maintaining objectivity if the client's issue is too similar to her own.
  16. It's priceless that Benjamin has travelled all that way to meet Mahogs and he has spent every night alone in his room constantly texting her without receiving any reply. That amount of frustration is well deserved. I hope his first wife sees it and derives some comfort that she is free of that mega-douche.
  17. AR Traveler, I would also like to welcome you to some of the best in snark while you and your daughter endure the unthinkable. I know these forums have helped me through a time of personal loss. If you aren't already familiar with another excellent trainwreck you might want to begin watching and reading about Whitney Way Thore of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. A recurring thought that goes through my head when watching either one is "What is wrong with these people?" A really interesting facet of these forums is the detective work done by the members so that it is more obvious when the craziness is producer directed and when it is organic and where the truth might lie.
  18. I think that early in its history the mansion was thought of as a locus of Hollywood influence. Hef had hosted that jazzfest for a few years with great fanfare. An invitation to one of the large parties was an opportunity to rub shoulders with several people in the music and entertainment industry. I was surprised to see someone like Regis Philbin in some of the older clips. (He didn't look all that comfortable.) Dolly is in costume. I have read several first hand accounts that she is almost unrecognizable without the platinum blond wig and make-up. Of course the surgical enhancements are another matter.
  19. Enty lawyer posted a blind item that was widely considered to be about Hefner, and, after learning about all the video cameras I now believe it to be true that Hef had a vault of compromising photos and videos of famous celebrities. I can't remember all of them but I think that Dolly Parton was one that was mentioned but seemed unbelievable. Anyway Enty reported that Hef had chartered a boat and had taken the contents of his vault out in the ocean to destroy all the things which would hurt the people in them if they were to be discovered.
  20. Understood. I just was surprised to see him. But then, I usually look to see who is in the background of some of the early videos that they are using. I know he was originally based in Hollywood before moving to the East Coast so would have gone to events where his peers were congregating. (A little off topic but he had "the Trumpsta" on his show multiple times and acted as if they socialized. I wonder if he was ever invited to the White House when he was still alive."
  21. Not sure if he was at the mansion or at one of the clubs but Regis Philbin was in one of the earlier episodes.
  22. I think that Burning Rubber is on the right track. Mahogs is probably a scammer and not necessarily a native or native Spanish speaker. The production company might have become aware of her, offered her some extra money to be part of the show and she is supressing a laugh in her scenes since she now has two income streams - albeit short term.
  23. Thanks for confirming my opinion which was inartfully stated. I just can't see wanting to upsize. Same goes for the Kartrashian's butt implants. They look so uncomfortable in their clothes.
  24. Ha, I totally understand your reference. aka "the dog did it"
  25. Sorry for that Cinnabon,t I guess it depends on what one is wearing. I'm sure if you are fit you won't look overweight.
