Sorry Yeah No, it was the LA Times. The headline was "Reality TV workers face a bleak job market amid production decline ..." -

I saw a headline from today's NY Times to that effect. Unfortunately it was behind a paywall so I couldn't read it. -
On MSNBC just now Claire McCaskill just credited Charlie Sykes with coming up with the description of Donald Trump as being in his "fat Elvis" era. I am sure I heard Joe describe him as such quite a while ago. If Joe was the first to say it shame on Charlie for taking credit.

Lawson and Tiffany: Warbling His Way Into Her Heart

It may be xenophobia and racism but it might also be a certain unacknowledged and possibly unconscious jealousy. She had been successful at an early age at an actual career to resume should she want it, as well as fiscal assets. Considering that she had been a child actress in a medium that they had been prohibited from accessing as children might have played into it. -
S12 Episode 3- Everybody Have Fun Tonight
Me from ME replied to BAForever's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Now, about the armpit hair. After my bf and I graduated from college and after we both worked a year (waitress and construction) and saved our money we went to Europe. In Scandinavia we saw lots of women with long arm pit hair and since the ones we saw had white blond it looked attractive. When we got back I decided to grow mine and bleach it if necessary. Nope, didn't work out. Never smelled exactly clean. Did anyone catch which two places on her body she didn't want any hair? Does anyone wonder how she was able to maintain the area which isn't visible to casual observers? I suspect she was making that part up to be provocative. -
Let's not forget their table manners and behavior. Very few wealthy people I have met chew/talk with their mouth open or hold their cutlery in their fists.

Well said Yeah No. There was one more point that I noticed during the first episode which I haven't seen mentioned. Namely that not only was she deliberately implying to her friends that she might be pregnant but she was rubbing her abdomen while teasing it. Have we EVER seen her do that in the past? Maybe she has rested her hands on that area while sitting but she was actively rubbing it. OK, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she wasn't doing it consciously but it was downright weird and misleading to her "friends".

FAKE FAKE FAKE. How many years ago was the equally fake episode of discovering graffiti on the rented RV? The one where the spray paint just "happened" to match the graphics on the wrap without touching her face? What followed in both cases was a confab with her friends including Buddy and his gf acting all sympathetic to her freakin' pity party. I think all the tears are designed to rehabilitate her image from the horrible person we have witnessed over the past few years. Oh, and give me a break. "The only reason she agreed to doing the show was to make other people happy?" How about having a substantial income stream including all the benefits without having to do a regular 9-5 job? From next week's preview, it looks as if another significant other has been cast for this season. GAH. Why do I watch it - I probably won't.

Some people brag about something they want to do, get the reaction and then forget about it. The reaction is the pay off. -

It also could be responding to the pressure to be as successful at monetizing the children through social media as her sisters appear to be. For such godly people they all seem to be competing with each other to show off material goods e.g. houses, pools, clothes, vacations, rv/campers. -
Oddly enough at both ends of the hierarchy. That was some casting to illustrate that the cabin steward on the lowest end of the staff and the bosun were not able to handle the stress of the job and were offloaded at the same time.

I thought the reason they stayed with C&E was to maintain the friendship. Having party party go go go in small quantities may be fun but certainly is exhausting if it is every day.
-
I actually thought they had grown tired of party party with C & E around the time Katie was about to give birth and then when both couples were at the beach house and Katie gave priority to keeping Haley's schedule. It is baffling that they are choosing to go back to the hoard in Tennessee.

Public transportation is, for sure. In fact, in a few weeks I will be on one - with my bicycle when I get tired of pedaling. Most trains in Europe have a special car dedicated for bicycles with both bike racks and seats. As far as the mail goes, a while back I sent a letter from Great Britain to Munich to tell family friends that we would be there in about three weeks. We arrived before the letter did. Maybe it was the British postal system but it seemed slow.

He may be closer to this than a responsible, hard-working husband and father. It seems as if he has never been employed at a "regular" job where accountability and performance mattered. He has been given things to do which seem enjoyable and matched to his interests. We could all be so fortunate. -
I'm guessing that Travis' parent's might be marginally supporting the move since it is for his music career and the door is left open for his return. Also positive that it is a two bedroom apartment e.g. no room for guests and Go,go,go...party, party.

I am as well. In fact, doing a deep dive on the reality behind the story. As far as Twit goes, I think she should have an entirely different series: FRAUD. Episodes to include: PCOS or Eating Disorder? The Parking Lot Chronicles, Many Athletes rolled into one:Having the skills to ski a Black Diamond Trail or Risking a Fracture by Doing a Split in Ski Boots? The Magnificent Back Roll and Arabesque, A Leprechaun in our midst St. Patrick's Day parade by mobility scooter and Line Dancing in Elf Boots - I could go on but you get the picture. -
I've found all the hosts to be cringe right along (especially Mel and Sue)until Ellie Kemper was cast. She seems kind and quite refreshing and not trying to grab attention away from the contestants or to distract them. I do find some of her wardrobe choices to be a little odd, but I can accept all the ruffles and pleats.

S11.E12: My Big Swiss Family Thore
Me from ME replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
She managed to denigrate both her sister and niece at the same time by casually mentioning that Angie had misused the word earlier "but she hadn't called attention to it." She doesn't hesitate to try embarrassing the one that she obviously feels inferior to...EVERY CHANCE SHE GETS! When I'm with someone who mispronounces or misuses a word instead of correcting them or using it properly "to teach them" I use a different word to not embarrass them (I know, cowardly on my part.) -

Maybe those of you who have experience with extensions or wigs can explain how she did those thick french braids we saw at the train station in Switzerland. -

The sophisticated world traveler that is Whitney Way Thore has frequently acted in a way that I would describe as being the epitome of the Ugly American. This is from previous seasons. She has been a loud, bellowing, ill mannered, under dressed spectacle. It's rich that she is trying to teach anyone how to act in a foreign country. This from someone who has been to Europe numerous times and has had a difficult time convincing people that I am not Canadian, but, in fact from the U.S. (U.S. tourists unfortunately have a bad reputation.) -

I couldn't believe how polite they were first, when she forced that sandwich on them - probably hoping they would refuse, and then, in their talking heads. There's a lot that Whitney has to be jealous of and let's add to the list that Hunter seems to like them a lot better than he likes her.
