  1. It also could be responding to the pressure to be as successful at monetizing the children through social media as her sisters appear to be. For such godly people they all seem to be competing with each other to show off material goods e.g. houses, pools, clothes, vacations, rv/campers.
  2. Oddly enough at both ends of the hierarchy. That was some casting to illustrate that the cabin steward on the lowest end of the staff and the bosun were not able to handle the stress of the job and were offloaded at the same time.
  3. I thought the reason they stayed with C&E was to maintain the friendship. Having party party go go go in small quantities may be fun but certainly is exhausting if it is every day.
  4. I actually thought they had grown tired of party party with C & E around the time Katie was about to give birth and then when both couples were at the beach house and Katie gave priority to keeping Haley's schedule. It is baffling that they are choosing to go back to the hoard in Tennessee.
  5. Public transportation is, for sure. In fact, in a few weeks I will be on one - with my bicycle when I get tired of pedaling. Most trains in Europe have a special car dedicated for bicycles with both bike racks and seats. As far as the mail goes, a while back I sent a letter from Great Britain to Munich to tell family friends that we would be there in about three weeks. We arrived before the letter did. Maybe it was the British postal system but it seemed slow.
  6. He may be closer to this than a responsible, hard-working husband and father. It seems as if he has never been employed at a "regular" job where accountability and performance mattered. He has been given things to do which seem enjoyable and matched to his interests. We could all be so fortunate.
  7. I'm guessing that Travis' parent's might be marginally supporting the move since it is for his music career and the door is left open for his return. Also positive that it is a two bedroom apartment e.g. no room for guests and Go,go,go...party, party.
  8. I've noticed that they feature empire waists. Perhaps to mask post-partum weight gain. Heaven knows absolutely nothing will be worn to hide the pregnancy.
  9. I am as well. In fact, doing a deep dive on the reality behind the story. As far as Twit goes, I think she should have an entirely different series: FRAUD. Episodes to include: PCOS or Eating Disorder? The Parking Lot Chronicles, Many Athletes rolled into one:Having the skills to ski a Black Diamond Trail or Risking a Fracture by Doing a Split in Ski Boots? The Magnificent Back Roll and Arabesque, A Leprechaun in our midst St. Patrick's Day parade by mobility scooter and Line Dancing in Elf Boots - I could go on but you get the picture.
  10. I've found all the hosts to be cringe right along (especially Mel and Sue)until Ellie Kemper was cast. She seems kind and quite refreshing and not trying to grab attention away from the contestants or to distract them. I do find some of her wardrobe choices to be a little odd, but I can accept all the ruffles and pleats.
  11. She managed to denigrate both her sister and niece at the same time by casually mentioning that Angie had misused the word earlier "but she hadn't called attention to it." She doesn't hesitate to try embarrassing the one that she obviously feels inferior to...EVERY CHANCE SHE GETS! When I'm with someone who mispronounces or misuses a word instead of correcting them or using it properly "to teach them" I use a different word to not embarrass them (I know, cowardly on my part.)
  12. Maybe those of you who have experience with extensions or wigs can explain how she did those thick french braids we saw at the train station in Switzerland.
  13. The sophisticated world traveler that is Whitney Way Thore has frequently acted in a way that I would describe as being the epitome of the Ugly American. This is from previous seasons. She has been a loud, bellowing, ill mannered, under dressed spectacle. It's rich that she is trying to teach anyone how to act in a foreign country. This from someone who has been to Europe numerous times and has had a difficult time convincing people that I am not Canadian, but, in fact from the U.S. (U.S. tourists unfortunately have a bad reputation.)
  14. I couldn't believe how polite they were first, when she forced that sandwich on them - probably hoping they would refuse, and then, in their talking heads. There's a lot that Whitney has to be jealous of and let's add to the list that Hunter seems to like them a lot better than he likes her.
  15. It's been said before but how devoid of content can this show be? I mean, a dentist appointment, (x3), a parent's Doctor's appointment, and a dramatic trip to a car wash. Not all in the same episode mind you - gotta spread out the excitement. And, similar to a lot of malignant narcs who continue to succeed regardless of bad behavior karma will meet up with them. That's what I think a lot of us are hoping will happen...and soon.
  16. A clear indication that her loud, obnoxious behavior is trying to distract everyone (including herself) that she feels inferior and knows she really hasn't succeeded in adulting.
  17. Agree 1000 %. I find that people use that phrase when they are trying to convince themselves that what they are doing (but which they may have a doubt about) is the correct course of action. Most frequently when taking a vacation or having a party shortly after a loved one has passed. Not saying that Glen doesn't have the complete right to meet his other family but it is a stretch to speak for his deceased wife.
  18. Along the lines of Carlin asking Layla, "Am I your best friend?"
  19. A book which I highly recommend is The End of Overeating; Taking Control of the Insatiable American Appetite by David Kessler M.D. It is an exposition on how the food companies engineer junk food to be addictive. Fun fact: The Snickers candy bar has been rated as the most palatable combination of taste/mouth feel/and texture ever developed. The food companies manipulate their product in a way similar to what the tobacco companies had been doing. In fact, they are often owned by the same consortium. I think it may be this book that also makes the link between obesity and the diet food industry... I can not imagine the damage Carlin and Evan are doing to their children by pacifying them with junk food. And it's hard to believe the amount of money they are squandering they might need it later for health care.
  20. Given that Twit is now cosplaying Babs it makes sense that if she knew that Ruby was making up words to be "cute" that she would do it as well. There have been numerous times when Twit has tried to be cute but was just obnoxious. (Fairly recent example was when Glen advised her not to touch latch on the exit door at his place of business and she went out of her way to push it with her elbow thus activating the alarm.)
  21. And I am wondering if they will claim that they can't pay due to financial circumstances.
  22. Having had two malicious narcissists in my family (one is a first cousin and one is a sister adopted from another country) they both have similarities to the Big Twit. What they have in common is that they failed at being responsible adults and since they couldn't manage their own lives they felt a measure of success by being overbearing with other members of the family. Whitney has failed at romantic relationships, keeping herself healthy, and in every endeavor she has undertaken. Instead she is trying to run Glenn's life because it gives her a feeling of power and success. BTW the cousin is also obese and currently bed-ridden and stewing in her own hatred. When her only sister goes to visit she screams at her.
  23. He irks me as well. That crucifix pose reminds me of Scott Stapp of Creed.
  24. Pet peeve: high tea is not what they think it is. What they want is afternoon tea. Martha Stewart has made the same error countless times. Afternoon tea: delicate crustless sandwiches, bite size quiche, tiny cakes and tarts served at low tables by white gloved waiters. High tea is a light supper eaten at a higher table. From my recollection as a kid in England - usually a salad, hard boiled egg and salad creme. While we're talking food. I made an oriental style orange cauliflower last night. "Breaded" with almond flour after egg wash, let it dry and used the air fryer. Sauce was fresh orange juice, mirin, tamari thickened with arrowroot with a splash of maple syrup. BF grew up eating squirrel, bear and turtle and he liked it a lot. Of course, that might mean he will eat anything that is put in front of him.
