I started watching again two weeks ago after being sucked into the Vic/Ripley romance. Now he's dead? I'm out again. It's a shame because that storyline had lots of room to grow. I really do not like the Andy character. The actress is fine but the character is insufferable. Shondaland doesn't usually make these kinds of major errors so it is surprising to me. I'm not cracked over Jack either.

New to Midsomer after having watched all of Vera. Now on the second episode of Season 2. Based on my small sample size so far, I've found that some of the episodes are quite good and others are so slow that I quit within the first 30 minutes. I love the eccentric townspeople. Not cracked about Troy.

I thought that was the same guy! (I stopped watching The Rookie after a few episodes.) I liked this one. Thought it was a good idea to split up Maggie and OA. I liked her substitute partner but I was sure he was going to be shot any minute.

I cannot stand Nora; the whole storyline just blows. The only time that Nora did not completely irritate me was when we saw her with her friend who eventually was killed. Otherwise, I glance at my phone every time that Nora is on screen.

So glad that I found this thread. I subscribe to both Acorn TV and Britbox. So far, I have watched all of Agatha Raisin and Queens of Mystery on Acorn and binged all 9 seasons of Vera on Britbox/Acorn. I watched the first 2 episodes of Midsomer Murders and almost fell asleep during both. I like the quirky humor of Agatha Raisin a lot. Any suggestions for similar shows? I am going to try Shakespeare & Hathaway next. I loved Vera and cannot wait for the next series.

I cannot stand Weller. Elizabeth Mitchell as the wife was a dead giveaway. As someone upthread pointed out, you don't hire Elizabeth Mitchell to stand around and look pretty. Did Weitz disappear?

Have not been a Nora fan since the first episode she showed up. Not sure exactly why but ...

I have a phobia about bees so there was no way that I was going to watch this episode.

I really like this show. It never fails to crack me up. It needs more of Eddie's friends. I hope it gets renewed.

I'm glad that we got to see Trent. The episodes are always better with Eddie's friends.

I cracked up at the 6 Degrees of Separation with Tyne Daly playing the mother of Amelia Shepard. Tyne Daly previously played the mother of Amy Brenneman in Judging Amy and Amy then played Amelia's medical partner in Private Practice.

Finally finished the last episode. So glad to read that Acorn TV is producing 4 more episodes. I did miss Gemma in this episode. The Detective Inspector continues to crack me up. We never did find out if he won the election.

Too much gore! I might give the series a shot if there isn't too much graphic violence. I remember Julian McMahon from his days on the soaps.

Mindy St. Clair! I couldn't place her for a moment and then figured it out. Loved seeing Rebecca, Paula, Heather and Valencia together again. I wonder how White Josh will react to seeing Darryl's new friend? Team Nathaniel.

Cracked up at Milos hiding in the bear suit. Not into JR - I hope that Petra finds someone that she doesn't have to keep running after. Not a big fan of Michael or Jason. Rafael breaking down in Xo's arms was heartbreaking as was his assist to Jane at Michael's funeral. I have missed this show.

Have binge watched all of the episodes in a row up through the end of Season 5. Definite change in the tone when Joe left and Aiden replaced him. With Joe, we saw glimpses of Vera's family history - issues with her father, his mistress, a sister - but now with Aiden, no mention at all. So far, I definitely miss Joe's presence and mostly how he allowed us to learn more about Vera. Continue to crack up as to the ever-changing support cast. Various police staff come and go without any mention of their absence (except for Joe). At least we still have the ever-present Kenny. Whatever happened to Billy, the original pathologist? Just disappeared. Terrific series. Looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes.

Why didn't they put out an alert regarding the use of the dating app? Why didn't we see Dana actually try to convince the Director of the FBI to overrule the Mayor's concerns? I was sure that the brunette Maggie was somehow going to go undercover to lure the perp and become a victim too.

Just started watching Vera on AcornTV. Finished S1, Episode 3. Reminds me a bit of Broadchurch. Very interesting so far. Each episode seems to have a twist at the very end. Love Vera and Joe's relationship.

So glad there is a topic for Agatha Raisin! I've watched the entire series on Acorn with only the last episode to go. Definitely noticed a major thinning of the cast as the series progressed. I crack up every time that the bumbling detective is on screen. Fun show - not great but definitely fun. I hope that they decide to make more.

I didn't understand the set up for the Emery plot. Miss Eddie's friends. I also miss Nicole. She added a lot to the Eddie plots.

I liked seeing how proud the principal was at the mention of her name and at Diane's glimpse towards her. Liked Pops in this episode as well.

I watched the second episode with occasional glimpses at my phone. It's mindlessly entertaining - which is good. Reminds me a bit of Leverage, which I really liked. I think Ana Ortiz does well here. Glad that she is being used more than in the Pilot.

I liked it. Never saw The Walking Dead so I have no familiarity with the female lead. I find Scott Foley to be charming so I'm glad to see him here. Loved Ana Ortiz on Ugly Betty - very happy to see her again. Also nice to see a glimpse of James McDaniel, who I have not seen since NYPD Blue.
