  1. I'll add Vera and Brokenwood Mysteries to that list.
  2. I cannot stand Nora. Her presence has caused me to watch the episodes while looking at my phone. My interest level has dropped significantly.
  3. Cried during Sheldon's speech. It looked as if Jim did too. Loved Amy's makeover. Astronaut Howard Wolowitz... Sweet ending.
  4. I started watching this show for Sela Ward. It wasn't a big role but I will miss her presence. I hope she finds a bigger role in another show.
  5. I started watching Line of Duty last night in anticipation of the new 5th season premiering on May 13 on Acorn. I'm only on Season 1, Episode 3 but I am hooked.
  6. Season 5 premieres on May 13 on Acorn TV in the US. The earlier seasons are now streaming on Acorn. (I'm on Season 1, Episode 3 and am hooked.)
  7. Just started watching Season 1 in anticipation of the new season debuting here in the US on Monday. The press has been very good and I'm looking for another British show to binge now that I'm finished with Vera and The Coroner. I liked The Bodyguard so I'm hopeful that I'll like this as well.
  8. Is there a story behind Khan leaving? Was she pushed out?
  9. The whole insurance fraud story line is ridiculous because Meredith could have done the operation pro bono and convinced the Hospital, of which she is part owner, to waive fees. Too stupid to contemplate when there is a good alternative at hand. I hope that Amelia turns down Owen and stays with Linc. They are good together. Shouldn't the physicians who are part owners of the Hospital been in that very important meeting?
  10. Renewed!! https://deadline.com/2019/05/blindspot-renewed-season-5-final-nbc-1202605109/
  11. So pleased about this! Hopefully we will see more of Eddie's friends this next year.
  12. I just don't get the Jo meltdown. This is a character who was able to survive and thrive despite a dismal childhood. She lived in her car at one point and had the fortitude and to overcome an abusive ex-husband from whom she ran and started a whole new identity. It's hard to square THAT Jo with the one who is so shaken by her birth mother's news that she completely falls apart, comes to work drunk and shuts out her friends and beloved husband. I might be willing to suspend disbelief if we had never known that Jo had previously been so resilient but this version makes zero sense.
  13. I tried to edit my prior post but could not. I am now in the midst of Brokenwood Mysteries and The Coroner, both of which I highly recommend. I gave Midsomer Murders another shot and found that there are some episodes which I enjoy and others which are so slow that I have to turn them off midway. Someone recommended Waking the Dead and London Kills, which I will sample next. It's a bit strange to watch shows where I literally do not recognize any of the actors.
  14. My list of desired departures: Owen, Glasses and HAOG, Owen. I actually like Koracik and Teddy and hope they stay together. I don't mind Meredith and DeLuca for now but there is no way that he is her future Derek. Hated Amelia for years but have to admit that I like the new version.
  15. I started watching again two weeks ago after being sucked into the Vic/Ripley romance. Now he's dead? I'm out again. It's a shame because that storyline had lots of room to grow. I really do not like the Andy character. The actress is fine but the character is insufferable. Shondaland doesn't usually make these kinds of major errors so it is surprising to me. I'm not cracked over Jack either.
  16. New to Midsomer after having watched all of Vera. Now on the second episode of Season 2. Based on my small sample size so far, I've found that some of the episodes are quite good and others are so slow that I quit within the first 30 minutes. I love the eccentric townspeople. Not cracked about Troy.
  17. I thought that was the same guy! (I stopped watching The Rookie after a few episodes.) I liked this one. Thought it was a good idea to split up Maggie and OA. I liked her substitute partner but I was sure he was going to be shot any minute.
  18. I cannot stand Nora; the whole storyline just blows. The only time that Nora did not completely irritate me was when we saw her with her friend who eventually was killed. Otherwise, I glance at my phone every time that Nora is on screen.
  19. Thanks! I will check out all of those suggestions.
  20. So glad that I found this thread. I subscribe to both Acorn TV and Britbox. So far, I have watched all of Agatha Raisin and Queens of Mystery on Acorn and binged all 9 seasons of Vera on Britbox/Acorn. I watched the first 2 episodes of Midsomer Murders and almost fell asleep during both. I like the quirky humor of Agatha Raisin a lot. Any suggestions for similar shows? I am going to try Shakespeare & Hathaway next. I loved Vera and cannot wait for the next series.
  21. I cannot stand Weller. Elizabeth Mitchell as the wife was a dead giveaway. As someone upthread pointed out, you don't hire Elizabeth Mitchell to stand around and look pretty. Did Weitz disappear?
  22. Have not been a Nora fan since the first episode she showed up. Not sure exactly why but ...
  23. I have a phobia about bees so there was no way that I was going to watch this episode.
