I stumbled across Judge Faith the other day. She looks 14 years old to me. I loathe the shows that are re-enactments or "based on real cases" (cough*Judge Ross*cough) so I searched the intrawebs trying to find out if this is one of them, to no avail. Withholding judgment (rimshot!) until I know more. Like many here, I am increasingly disillusioned with Judge Judy, who has gone from feisty older woman who takes no shit from litigants to ill-tempered, out-of-touch one-percenter who does not appear to LISTEN to anyone and makes horribly negative assumptions based on class. I've watched JJ for so long that I don't think I can quit her, but Judge MM on People's Court is a far superior jurist, and for me, better TV (I just can't stand those two tools she's saddled with).

Oh wheatthins, did you watch the standup special that followed the show? He's still on his game at the mic. But other than his daughters, whom i cannot resist, the show is kind of losing me. The photo session scene was lovely, though, and I did enjoy him crying while talking about fart jokes. I just feel like there's something I'm not getting.

Those people were all sketch as hell, but ManBun was definitely the worst! I shudder to think what the true relationship was between him and the defendant.

Which wife did he name?

I worked at a Domino's for years, where I was required to pull my hair back tightly so it would fit under my cap. I now have hair that is thinned far beyond what it should be. The struggle is real. :(

I found this episode disturbingly repetitive of previous ones. Some examples: The overbearing guy who just wants to be buddies. An encounter with someone he doesn't share a language with. A child running away from him. A series of unfortunate events emphasizing what a shlemiel he is. It was all very deja vu. I didn't hate it but it certainly wasn't a particularly good episode.

Hello, new to this forum. What do you folks mean by the abbreviation TS?

I find her pretty adorable.

I noticed Leah's Twitter account, too, Rho. Blecchhh at that shit.

Unfortunately, it appears it did return. http://my.xfinity.com/articles/entertainment-eonline/20150506/b654131/

Dammit, Dawn, stop making it hard to defend you! I actually had some respect for her position on little people in entertainment, that it can be exploitative, and her passion to do something more "respectable" for herself. She seems very smart and confident and I WANT TO LIKE HER, but man--what a bitch. (She gets half a point added back for giving up the master bedroom with minimal drama, though.) The boyfriends seem nice overall. I actually do like this group and their chemistry. Misty can miss me with her whining, girl, you got the finale spot! Even a rube like me knows that's the crown jewel in a fashion show!

I saw an ad for what looks like a straight to video movie starring The Miz? Amazing to me how that kid built himself a career, I personally would not have guessed he would find the performance career he always craved. I kinda thought he was an idiot. :)

Some people maintain that "controlled drinking" is possible post recovery. As a former smoker, however, I know if I smoke one, I might as well buy a carton. It's just not the kind of thing that can be regulated. It's an addiction. So if you believe alcoholics are addicts, then total abstention is the only thing that makes sense. I still find myself liking this group for the most part--even Dawn, who certainly can be heinous, has her redeeming qualities. And as I have said before, even though Lila is a big ol' drama queen, I kind of dig her. I think I would enjoy hanging out with her. The money stuff is a little baffling. Clearly no one is affording NY apartments on sporadic income from show biz. I'm willing to overlook it though.

Dawn was adopted, though. I believe she has a different medical issue. In any case, her BF's parents have a right to be concerned about their future grandchild's health, I suppose, or to have an opinion about it, but if their son and his chosen partner decide THEY are willing to deal with the issues of a child with medical problems? Suck it up and be good grandparents, for crap's sake.

Okay, I know I am an old fart and WAY out of this show's demographic, but can someone explain to me what was going on in those interstitials with the young women screeching about prom? I mean I know LITERALLY what was happening, but holy shit, that was unpleasant to listen to. Was that supposed to be a good thing? Edit: CARTER, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Blecchhh, Pamela is just so unlikeable that her perfectly reasonable perspective on living together or even being monogamous sounded like just another slap to Louie. Cut the man a break, he needs someone with a SMIDGEN of warmth, as do most humans (and I say that with full knowledge that Louis writes this himself). I'm frankly skeptical Pamela could even attract multiple sexual partners; she's just weird and mean. The poop sequence made me laugh harder than it should have.

Gahhh, I was putting the finishing touches on my taxes while the show was on and only half paying attention--I can't believe I missed that the defendant was SANDRO. At least he didn't snap on this show!

Season 5: Who was your favorite?
bref replied to nowcheckthat's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
And because she's an asshole. On topic? Eileen took my vote, but it *was* close. I need Yo to leave the show and concentrate on getting better, but I agree with motorcitymom--I actually like most of this crew on reflection. Odd. :) -
She is nutty and dramatic, but I kind of like her anyway.

I think Jazmin is very pretty. So is Jordanna, although she needs to do something about that 1980s Anthony Geary perm.

I missed the first few minutes. Did Nev give an "official" explanation of why it wasn't aired?
-
Cosign. It's her utter lack of humility that bugs. I appreciate confidence in a woman, but not an undeserved superiority complex.

I do agree that Nene takes a lot of undeserved blame from the other women, but I still dislike her intensely just on her own merits, or lack thereof.

I thought in the first episode we learned Sam and Laura had been together eight years. So they may be more compatible than what we are seeing.

What really killed me about the brother was when he said something about "how do you think this reflects on ME"? Seriously, guy? I really liked that all the women basically refused to be shamed.
