OMG, totally! Islandgal, perhaps I was a bit unfair to Devar's mom, as I was somewhat distracted during the meeting scene. I just noticed how many times she said variations of "I can't tell him who to pick", which seemed kind of cold to me. You're right, of course, that Bev was much worse. Devar seemed very concerned to me about his mother's reaction to his fiance being white; I was surprised he put the question out there that baldly, too, but what the hell--after Bev's performance, maybe he got the idea that one can blurt out whatever they want in America? :)

If Mark is worried that Nikki is bored, why doesn't he, I dunno, TALK TO HER about it? Ask what she might like to do? His pirate shirts? No. His train whistle? A NYDN article about a month ago claimed Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's daughter Bella is active in the "church". It was actually pretty sweet. He said he was so smitten with her he would have adopted whatever religion she followed. I wonder if he had any clue what he was getting into, but their marriage seems very strong through all of this. Interesting article here about Leah and her sister Nicole. I hadn't realized Nicole actually left the church (although perhaps not "officially") before Leah did. There is a third (half) sister, who appears on Leah's reality show, Shannon. She and her husband left the CoS along with Leah, Vicky (the mom), and Vicky's husband, and I would really like to hear more about them, too. Maharincess, I am obsessed with this story as well!

Yeah, I was kind of rooting for them at first, but Loren's drama queen antics tonight were a total ugh. Also still mystified how she couldn't afford the "lifestyle" of having her BF move in to her tiny apartment for a few months and maybe hit up her well-off parents for some extra grocery money; what else is there to worry about? Quitting her job, possibly breaking a lease, and moving herself and the BF in with her parents all seemed like super bad ideas to me.

What's with having grown-ass women act like complete dorks about men and sex? First Amelia (which dragged Owen into the stupidity as well) and now Maggie, literally hiding behind her sister and stuttering when her boycrush shows up at the hospital. It's NOT CUTE, Shonda. I'm one of those who likes Jo and thinks she is grossly misused. They haven't given us much to work with as far as the character, but I do enjoy her loyalty to Alex. The Stephanie thing was dumb and tacked on, as others have observed. I thought Amelia's tortured patient was incredibly effective for an actor that had no lines. That was hard to watch.

I liked her a lot in the school scene, too. And those kids in her dance class were killing me. :( I have a crush on Buddy, too. WTF is the matter with Whitney that she doesn't see what's right in front of her?? (I know, I know, she says she's considered and rejected more than a friendship. Obviously a bad decision!)

Corey is just so open and unassuming. I thought it was very sweet when he mentioned to Jeremy how bad things were for him until Miranda came along. I hope that marriage sticks, they seem like a really good couple. I did enjoy that whole scene rather too much. Jeremy could hardly keep from breaking out in a grin through the entire thing.

I guess I was remembering last summer when I saw lots of articles like this, and I thought she made a point with those recent thigh-gap pictures of saying she had "earned it" but I can't find any confirmation of that, so maybe I made it up. In any case, I think your point is well taken; clearly plastic surgery is her preferred method of maintaining her figure, whatever she says :)
