S21.E39: Final Head of Household Part 1

Recommended Posts

I love how Nicole is standing up to Jackson and driving him a little nuts. "You're good!"  I think he's intrigued by her.

Now there's a gaggy retrospect on Jackson. They're making Jackson and Holly's relationship into some great romance like Cody and Jessica. Gag.

Ugh, Jackson is ahead in Part 1. I wish Nicole could pull this off. Her legs are going to be so bruised from falling against that ledge.

At least Vikings won today.

Boo! Jackson won!

But I just voted 10 for Nicole.

He is not intrigued by her. He is pandering to her and blowing smoke up her ass to get her jury vote. He has contempt for her the same way Jack does. But Jack's contempt and scorn was blatant. Nicole is nothing like a girl he would pursue and it completely showed. He did not even try to hide it, he seemed to enjoy making fun of her with the expressions on his face. I even saw it in the jury house when Nicole's name was mentioned.

Well, that was a fast-forward fest! I don't care about the individual "how this person got here" summaries etc.

I did love the part where Nicole was talking with Jackson about jury management and that she also was seeing through his BS about how nobody will vote for him...

I mainly just watched the comp and while I appreciate them showing it it was clear from moment one that Jackson would power through that with relative ease so it was pretty much a non-episode really.

Usually that episode I fast-forward through 90% of it. This time I only FF'd through the diary room out-takes. Win for Big Brother! Liked the way they did it with the final 3 stating their cases at the beginning. Way better then the reminiscing they've done before.

Wanted so bad for Nicole to win part 1, but at this point it's Jackson's game. He's flat out dominated all the comps, and while we might not like it has played a great social game. Loved Nicole not buying his woe is me with the Jury votes.

I'm loving Nicole playing with Blockhead.  She has nothing to lose now.

He's disgusting me even more than usual tonight.  So is Holly.

Nicole's getting a nice AFH edit.

Cliff and Nicole should have taken their chances with Tommy over the showmance.  Kaycee, JC, and Tyler agree.

The DR waterworks were hilarious.  This is much better tonight than the phony "Let's sit and chat about the season" clip show we usually get about now.

This season has improved since it's ugly beginnings, but it still mostly sucked.  Jack and his posse can disappear.

Of course Nicole pulls a Kaitlyn on her puzzle.  Not that it mattered.  Bleh!  Blockhead's long legs and strength were a big advantage.  I couldn't tell how close Holly was.

One more show.  Slouching to the finish line.

Thanks CBS, for giving me an episode of flashback filler for 50 of your 60 minutes!  I got some ironing done, I clipped my nose hairs and I cleaned the lint trap in the dryer - all of which were more entertaining than tonight's show.

Snackson and Holly... romance for the ages.  Well at least until Halloween anyway.

Poor Nicole.  The odds are stacked against her and I don't see her winning over the stoolmeisters.  Although, when she mentioned she was an "educator" sometime during the episode, I thought "with a major in fingerpainting and booger eating".

How many times to we have to see that one tear trail down Tommy's face?  I felt like I was rewatching a Sinead O'Connor video.

Thanks for bringing back Larry, Moe and Curley from last season.  Their input was riveting.  My grout has never looked better.

I think she was about 3-4 behind. She was going up-down and Jackson was going straight across placing coins so it was tough to tell at times.

Although I fast forwarded that whole middle segment of showing the final three's journey, I much preferred that over the clip show that they usually do.

Ugh Jackson won 😒

Wouldn't it be funny if Holly somehow won part 3 and then decided to take Nicole instead of Jackson because a. she knows she can't win against him and b. he's an asshole.

Halloween? I think that is being far too generous. I would have given them until October 2 at most.

I briefly considered going to the bathroom and clipping my toenails, but was too lazy to get up. So I ended up switching over to Atonement on Slice and occasionally flipping back to see if anything interesting had happened. Nope. Also, how many times did they feel the need to show Tommy's tear-streaked face while Julie announced he was evicted in one episode? I counted three, during the "Previously On," and Jackson and Nicole's Remember Me segments.

What was up with JC's hair? And I see Tyler is committed to keeping that awful hairstyle from last season. I'd much rather see him in a (shudder) man-bun than that poodle-looking hairstyle.

What I did manage to catch of these segments during commercial breaks for Atonement, I admit it was more "real" than sitting around all, "Remember that time when so-and-so was an asshole and betrayed that other asshole? Fun times! Roll clip!"

Why the hell did they feel the need to show that? That was nasty. I'm so grateful we got to see more of Christie and Jackson's fake crying! NOT.

Jack has always given off that better than everyone else vibe.   When he acts all excited, it comes off as openly mocking, that he just might think that he is better than BB and superior in every way to the house guests he might believe are inferior to him.

Jackson wanted to know what Nicole was thinking, and given the fact the she wouldn't tell him, it was plain to see he was getting pissed off.

I don't know why whether one person would or would not pursue another person is the least bit relevant.   It is just common decency to treat people with respect.

Not everyone hits the genetic lottery, and not everyone has the same taste in whom they like or are attracted to, but everyone has a choice of acting like an asshole or not.

Jackson and Holly in the hammock ... did Jackson really say something about a fauxmance to Holly?  Did I hear that???

Christie in the DR ... ‘I don’t want anyone thinking I’m fake crying’ or something close.  Lol...

Tommy in the DR ... looking down so he could work up tears and after he squeezed a few out then looking up.  Lol ..

Jackson’s comment in DR .. ‘There you are ‘tears’.   Ok this one could be the DR saying we want you to cry or Jackson ‘saying’ you brought me to tears.  Yeah, ok, I agree. I don’t really care either.

All that for ‘did Jackson really say fauxmance?’  H

ETA:  I forgot. ‘I’m just Holly from the backwoods of Wyoming’ 🙄

Mind if I borrow this phrase? Fast-forward fest is the perfect description of so many shows, including the filler-filled final episodes of BB. Mind you, I'm not against filler if it's silly or funny, but I'm totally against being shown the same clips a second or third time, or having to watch endless Captain Obvious DRs.

I know! If you throw in Kaycee's eternal librarian bun, it was a bad hair day all round. They all have great hair - they can do better! It was too distracting.

Nasty and mean and stomach-turning. The editors have been amazing this season but that was uncalled-for.

Also, is it just me or did the editors go out of their way this episode to make Jack look like an unattractive, capering fool? It was like the exact opposite of his early edits. Not subtle.

I wonder if Grodner cracked the whip to get her interns to come up with a clip show that didn't hint at the blatant horrificness of Camp Comeback, the disgustingness of Gr88ful, the stomach-churning hook-ups, etc.  After failing, she fired all the interns, gave up and went with a "heartfelt look back" instead, which was equally as gross.

At least we got to find out that Snackson and his Mama like to work crossword puzzles together. I envision them sitting around the table with a 500 piece jigsaw depicting a watermelon sitting on a stool. And I'm sure the editors were excited to once again haul out the repeatedly aired shot of Kat and Holly in the bathroom flexing their breasteses. SEND IT!

I figured JC felt a last-minute fashion panic and needed to address it - so he skinned a poodle out in the parking lot .

Just to put that in historic context:

Back in the 1980s, when porn films still had plots, the performers  and crew called the scenes between the sex scenes "fast forwards," because they knew that's what viewers were doing with them.

I meant to ask, what the heck was that all about anyway?  They are not pumping up a couple of tires, what is that flexing supposed to do?

Wow.  DR edits had me cracking the hell up.  I think a clear conclusion we can come up with is that the production staff/editing staff hate most of the hamsters.  I suspect it is something along the lines of "familiarity breeds contempt."  But I gotta tell you, they apparently carry some extra contempt for Anallice.  Wow.  Those were some really bad clips.  She really is as dumb as all that.  OMG.  Does she have to consciously think about breathing, lest her brain stop directing the autonomous nervous system, and that's why she's like that?  Who helped her fill out her BB application?  How the hell did she get on the show?  That's some world class stupid right there.

And Jack said she was smart.  Oh my.

Purely my own personal impression, but Anal’s interactions with the other HGs (and, more specifically, what/how she chose to express about the HGs with whom she was NOT directly interacting) always left me with the impression Anal customarily worked from a higher-than-usual level of personal entitlement - the sort that wouldn’t think treating working-class Production staff like servants and reaming them because they couldn’t do something as simple as bring her a Diet Coke in the DR with light ice LIKE SHE ASKED, OR IS THAT TOO MUCH OF A PROBLEM...?

As I said - purely supposition on my part, but IMHO Anal does seem to have garnered an inordinate amount of Production’s ire, as demonstrated by how Production currently chooses to portray her.  It would appear there’s no escaping the conclusion Anal is either THAT irritating, THAT stupid, or a healthy balance of the two.  WTF did she do???

I thought it was funny when he slammed the door after Jackson walked out in the clip.  What a petulant teenager thing to do.  Either they let the clip run longer this time or I missed it on the first run.  Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, lol.
