I thought they moved to the US? Call me skeptical but every time a celebrity mentions a ‘nose injury’ or a ‘broken jaw’ that means they have had plastic surgery.

I too wondered about that. The common deviated septum or the trend of buffalo fat removal. It is possible that she did get hit by a suitcase but having it land on the face is odd.

I have a scar on my chin from a shelf coming down on my face when I was pulling inventory out of my store's back room.  I was removing splinters for months lol.  Helluva time to find out that the previous manager didn't make sure the shelves were secured when he installed them.  Only reason anyone still believes me is the sales associate with me at the time wound up with 4 broken toes as a result of the same shelf.

I haven't watched much in the 90DF universe for a couple of years now, but I am happy to see that this crazy couple seems to be making it work.  Refreshing, given the shitshow the rest of the cast has become.

@Mondrianyone  ha!  my screenname came from somewhere else entirely but i might now include this incident with it LOL. My dentist was very impressed my teeth made it intact and/or my jaw wasn't broken.

I have nowhere near the makeup skills that Avery has to be able to cover my scar, but it's been almost 30 years so it's less noticeable thankfully :)

They did, but they might have been visiting his family who still live in the Middle East or having a vacation. Didn’t they live in Dubai for a while before Omar got authorization to live in the USA?

Odder things have happened- if she did injure herself I feel badly for her. They seemed genuine. They aren’t enough of a train wreck to have in the universe!

Sadly Avery posted that Omar had 5 family members die in the earthquake. 3 were young children.  I hope his family and all the families can find peace and healing.

That is so sad.

I am hearing a lot of it had to do with poor building standards/codes. My family is Dominican and during the Trujillo dictatorship, there was a lot of suffering. The only good thing he did was make sure they had strict building codes so that things would stand up to hurricanes and earthquakes. All the made me think of that.

Good for them. A two year DMD program for internationally trained dentists is the norm in the US, I believe. I worked at Tufts Dental in Boston for twelve years. My boss was Greek and got his DDS in Greece. He had a PhD from Harvard and a certificate in Periodontology from Tufts. He was an Associate professor and he was able to practice onsite in the Faculty Practice. But to treat patients in a private practice in the US he had to get a DMD from a US school. As a Tufts faculty member he was able to do it there for less $$ (if any). Maybe Omar can swing a job as a clinical instructor or an assistant at Rutgers while he's completing his DMD. Or get hired there after he graduates. Its a great move for him and I'm happy for them both.

What were you surprised about? The fact that he is good enough to get accepted or the fact that they allowed him to be accepted ?

These 2 are 2 of the best  from the 90 day universe and I for one wish them every success as I originally thought "no way is this one lasting" and so far they have proved me wrong.

Back when they got married, it seemed there were a lot of obstacles for him professionally.  It seems things went quite well.
