Constantine and The Infernal Racket-- John Constantine tries to hold back the Rising Evil. While solving cases with Zed, Chaz, Anne Marie and Lilith, his pet capuchin monkey/ reformed thief, John also squeezes in sets with his punk band, the Infernal Racket. Manny the Angel, Jim Corrigan, and Papa Midnite guest star over the series' run. (I keep seeing the characters drawn in the Archies' way and Anne Marie playing organ like Veronica. )

eta: Jack of All Trades: The Animated Series--  Jack Stiles is still a spy, but he's a spy in different points in history! He can answer to the President or First Lady directly, spy anywhere and still has a Mrs. Rothschild. His cover is the manager of a band called the Time Changes and the music played is apropos to the period.  ( Scooby/Archie's Weird Mysteries/ Jonny Quest / Liberty's Kids vibe)

Scandal: The Animated Series-- Done like Robot Chicken and voiced by the live-action cast.

Spy School: Archer done in the style of  The Powerpuff Girls; similar to the Mad Men suggestion, the old Isis gang are kindergarteners and trying to keep The Metro Area safe from Evil. Caffeinated soda and power drinks are rampant, as are high-fructose corn syruped candies!  (Except for Mallory, who always will have her booze.) Pam has a pet dolphin hidden in her bathroom.

Oh Canadian Tire commercials - you are something. The bar across the street from my university took Canadian Tire money at par. It was amazing.

Any time I hear "tramp stamp" it reminds me of when my husband told me he'd heard a new phrase for the lower back tattoo, which he thought was really funny. But he couldn't remember what it was, only that it rhymed, and that it meant something like "whore mark."

I hadn't heard of Bernardo & Homolka, and everyone on the podcast's "oh right, them" attitude prompted me to look them up.

Fuck the heck, man.

Same!  Good god.  Then I fell down a wikipedia hole and read the even more disturbing Luka Magnotta case.

I loved this episode! ^totally agree SnideAsides! Leah was awesome this week and as always Liv was adorable. I am so mad at myself for forgetting that Sarah D. Bunting has a true crime blog. I've been reading her writing since the 90s so I'm going to blame dementia. What a fun rabbit hole to visit! Click here for awesome true crime! *I'm sure it's linked in the show notes but I always forget to go there since I'm listening on my phone.

True story: They tried to turn Buffy into an animated series, but there was a concern about her stabbing the vampires. According to an interview with Joss I read at somepoint when the Internet was still mostly the Usenet, network execs want her to wave a magic wand and make the vamps disappear. Joss politely declined the adaptation.
