Whether you like Trump or hate him, there is no doubt they've been down in the mud with him.  And now they are principled and above all the insults?  I'll believe it when I see it.

Didn't Donny's advertising agency encourage clients to advertise on NBC & MSNBC ? He must have provided substantial amounts of revenue for the network in order for them to justify keeping him on the network.

I completely agree with you.  Mika & Joe have been making personal insults against Trump shortly after Trump was inaugurated. They mocked him for inviting them to the White was House in January 2017 . He gave them a tour of the White House & Mika sneered that she had been going there since the Carter administration.

I remember when Joe was complaining that he had to go to Mar A Largo around NYE to get an interview with President Elect Trump. Jared Kushner told him he could have called anytime since he was friends with Trump. He didn't have to show up to beg for an interview.

Yes she didn't want to go but claims Trump begged her to come because he's cuckoo for coco puffs for her. So she and Joe dragged themselves out of the house in their loungy sweats and uggs like me going to Trader Joes at 8 am on a snowy Sunday, to attend the NYE party at Mar a Lago and all they ended up with was a catfight with Maggie Haberman and Trump announcing to the world that Mika had had a face lift.

Thank for the heads up, teddysmom, that delay is really bizarre. Isn't it called "This Ends Badly" - surely there's a very narrow timeframe where those "here are my first-hand insights into Trump's personality" books are relevant and popular. If it comes out in mid-October 2020 that's like 3 weeks away from the election, where (hopefully) people will be looking to the future and no longer interested in Trump's moodswings and totally predictable authoritarian impulses. And "this ends badly" is hardly a useful prediction at that point, when presumably impeachment etc will have played itself out. 

Those are some really weird publishing decisions. Unless he's changing everything including the title, etc?

teddysmom...you may have hit on something.  Fox might need some credibility (I know) and maybe with Joe they could fake it.  He is a Conservative (cue the choir and hushed tones) and would maybe bring some Never-Trumpers to the network.  Meeka could go with him ... but she would have to go back to wearing sheaths and stilettos.  Upside - she would have an entire new network of female reporters to bring into her KYV vanity project. This would be great publicity for Fox.

There won't be an election to the US Senate in Florida till 2022.

Joe considered running for Senate in 2010. The problem was that the GOP refused to bar Governor Charlie Crist & Marco Rubio from running for the GOP nomination. Joe wanted to be acclaimed as the GOP candidate. Joe argued that it would save the party money if he was acclaimed as the nominee. Rubio ended up winning the nomination.

Joe showed his compassion for Florida by agreeing to film several episodes of Morning Joe with Mika . They would film episodes in Pensacola on the beach etc.

Joe told his wife Susan to stay in Connecticut so she wouldn't have to see the oil stained beaches caused by the BP oil spill.

There is no way Joe has the stamina or work ethic necessary to run for office. It is grueling and exhausting, and he's gotten too fat, dumb, and happy to survive the rigors of a campaign. Remember Fred Thompson, the TV celebrity who was supposed to be the big Republican party savior back in 2012 (or was it 2008)? He lasted a whole couple of months on the campaign trail before he said screw this and went back to being a TV celebrity.

Joe would never be able to adjust to having to give up all his days off to do meet and greets at nursing homes.

In fairness to the late Big Fred, he first became known nationally because he was the chief counsel to the Republicans on the Senate Watergate Committee.  He questioned a lot of the witnesses that came in front of the committee.  His talent and demeanor were a smidge different than we see from, um, say, current Republicans on any of the House committees; i.e., he was good at his job without being an asshole.  And he was a sitting Senator for almost 20 years.  So he didn't just go from being a useless celebrity to become a presidential candidate, unlike say, oh, I don't know, somebody, it's on the tip of my tongue...

LOL, but that was kind of my point. Thompson was a credible political figure, but once he got a taste of the celebrity life he lost the drive necessary to run a full-on campaign.

Be sure and check out the letters Zbig wrote to her, scolding her for not repaying loan he made to her. 

And again, I just don't get why Mika almost brags about her lack of intellect.
