There was a clip of Gigi thanking her father and mother for everything and how much she was looking forward to college. She got to NYC, got moved in, went to some classes and promptly dropped out. Then the modeling took off. I guess she made her own choice, one which Yolanda certainly applauded.

If I remember correctly, Gigi was the one that had a roommate right away, not Bella. Yet when we saw/see pictures of their apartments there is never a "roommate" there or even mentioned so I think that was just a cover story used when Yolanda bought and then remolded 2  million+ dollar apartments for each daughter so they could "go to college" (which of course never happened). LOL

Another Tale Tale Told by yoyo?  'My kids are going to go to a school in New York (close to the fashion industry) and would you look at that!!!!! They end up as models and drop out of school!".

There was an episode where was at a photoshoot for one of the kids and she was there giving the photog grief.......

Just thought about this?

Could yo have been banned from the photo shoots because of her meddling?? Could that have been another cause of her 'invisible illness'....unwanted-ness?

I wonder whose name is on the lease of the apartments? Are they rented or were they purchased?

Gigi's was purchased under a trust controlled by Yo.  In less than two years it made $500,000.00.  I believe Bella's was purchased.  My guess is with  Gigi making some coin she is buying it from the trust.  Neither girl could have gotten a mortgage due to age and lack of credit history.  So I think it is  a prudent investment for both girls.

http://www.realitytea.com/2015/09/28/fredrik-eklund-sells-gigi-hadids-nyc-apartment/

I remember when Gigi was about 16 and "modeled" for Beverly Hills Lifestyle (Lydia Sterling's of RHOC's rag) Yolanda was all over Gigi for having "Chinese Eyes".  In her early photo shoots in an effort to look more wide-eyed every picture looked like she had been goosed with her lips open and big surprise eyes.

Gigi's original apartment, purchased by the Yolanda Hadid Family Trust, was sold due to a stalker getting into the building. Gigi and Bella's current apartments are probably owned by one of Mohamed's shell companies. I have no idea where they are, which is probably the way it's supposed to be.

Actually, that was her second apartment---the first one, the one Yolanda bought/decorated with her for college was a little more simple and quaint and had a tiny deck---I remember these details because I'm obsessed with NYC real estate and took in every moment I could while Yo helped Gigi first move in:

((pics near the bottom of this page))

http://cotedetexas.blogspot.com/2014_03_09_archive.html?m=1

Now the one with all the bank of windows was much fancier, and I assume Gigi had made a ton of money enough on her own to buy the Soho place a few years later, the place that she's since had to move from due to her stalker:

http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/real-estate/model-home-gigi-hadid-2-45m-two-bedroom-soho-pad-article-1.2285784

As for Bella, Yo helped her decorate her own stunning NYC pad too, but I know she's since moved as well:

But of course, Yolanda wants her children to be INDEPENDENT. Because nothing says independence like getting a posh Manhattan pad bought and decorated for you at age 18 by your parents!

I thought it was Bella who was going to have a friend be her roommate.

It's pretty tough to be financially independent by age 21 and go to four year college.  Most kids turn 21 during the second semester of their junior year or first semester their senior year.  Think about it....  The only other possible scenario is if they started elementary school a year earlier or skipped a grade.  Or, they have managed to go to collage and have other income sufficient enough to support themselves.

In any case, Yo's idea of financial independence starts with buying the kids homes.  She doesn't care about a college education - it's all about fame with her.  It will be interesting to see what Anwar does.  I have the feeling Mo will have stronger feelings about Anwar's higher education more than he does his daughters.  With Yo, it will be more about another one of her children being 'famous'.  I also think Mo has 'humored' Yo through the years but I think he may be getting tired of it.

What a cool way to do a show!  Everyone gets a front row seat.

I loved some of the clothes.  Bella is just so stunning, and I love her eyes.

That said, I'm longing for the day this thread is on the bottom of the page.  Not when it's about fashion though!  Ha.

Ok, this is just My opinion but why don't runway models ever smile? If I were a designer, I would want buyers to believe that the models LOVE wearing my clothes/designs. Instead, they look bored out of their minds and/or uncomfortable in the clothes. LOL

Blog on Yolanda's OZ appearance by Real Skeptics of TV.    https://realskepticsoftv.wordpress.com/2016/03/08/yolandas-visit-to-oz/

This part of that article is news to me:

Prior to RHOBH, Yolanda was on a Dutch version of the Real Housewives. I have friends from Holland, who speak Dutch and saw the show. They confirmed that was false. The entire show revolved around her before and during the wedding, there wasn’t mentions of disease or being unable to do anything.

I thought this was interesting, too.

Yolanda says that if she were truly better, she’d be in the front row of Chanel’s fashion show to see her daughter walk. As if participating in  Chanel’s Paris fashion show is like a Little League game or school musical. Chanel is a top brand, Paris doesn’t even know who you are or care (Yolanda was never a supersupermodel) and it isn’t like model’s families get tickets to fashion shows, especially front rows, which are exclusively reserved for fashion insiders, magazines, and A-listers. It is so bizarre and recalls my previous paragraph’s point that maybe this is more of an emotional/mental struggle she is having with moving past her life and identity with children.

There was a document presented to Yolanda by Oz (his staff completed it). It was given to her at the end of the show. I wonder of it was constructed to show her medical inconsistencies without bringing each of them up before the TV audience. Does anyone remember what he gave her?

It was a graph/chart of treatments/tests she has done in the past year.

Take all the money in your wallet and run it thru your document shredder and then flush it down the toilet.

Eventually the toilet will back up and you are going to have to spend money on a plumber and once HE is done you MIGHT have to call someone to replace the tiles in the room...He rips the tiles up off the floor and discovers the floor joists need replacing, when the joists are pulled up, the pipes coming from the heater are corroded........

THAT is the kind of 'maintenance' that yoyo needed? If it's not ONE THING, it's another and there seems to be no end in sight? She sounds like that fucking house in the "Money Pit" movie....

This is why my grandmother told me to never go to doctors. "They always find something wrong! There wasn't anything wrong with me before I went to that doctor!"

Now, Gramma was maybe taking things to an extreme, but she kind of had a point, too, that Yolanda could stand to pay a little attention to. But I suppose Yo is buying all the trouble she wants and doesn't need advice on how to avoid it.

I have no idea if this is true but according to reddit the show folded when Yo refused to film with the other ladies.

I thought the whole show was about Yolanda and her marriage to David, akin to the Tamra OC Wedding-type spinoff shows Bravo does once in a while.

(edited)... well, nope, I was wrong... just checked out one of the videos of it on Youtube, and sho nuff, it was its own full-on cast of Dutch Housewives in Hollywood.  Super cheap looking production values.  And Yo's whole story line looks to have been the David Foster wedding thing.

You can catch some of the Dutch Housewives on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apxFohuKP7I

Search for Nederlandse Hollywood Vrouwen

The dialogue is like "Ik ging naar de 's-Hertogenbosch en vertelde hen you gonna be smart, hoe dan ook, zegt dat ik naar Mabel." I don't know what she's actually saying.

Apparently the Dutch viewing public got to see some sort of hanging upside-down "tall machine", that Yolanda bought to make her daughters tall.

Lol, models are supposed to be walking coat hangers.  You're supposed to focus on the clothes, not the model, so the whole supermodel thing that happened is antithetical to the purpose of a model, which is not to distract from the clothes.

There was a concerted effort by Prada to end the supermodel phenomenon of the early 1990s, they were one of the first to source their models from the former Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc. Much cheaper and far less assertive, and there was plenty of blue eyed blondes too. They probably stopped smiling at that point because the designers wanted them generic and without personality. Their teeth probably weren't the best either.

I was surprised that Miu Miu hired Kendall, Gigi, Bella and the daughter of that lesser Baldwin brother, because Miu Miu is Prada.

Blog on Yolanda's OZ appearance by Real Skeptics of TV.    https://realskeptics...as-visit-to-oz/

These two replies in the blog really sum it up.  Sad, really.

Yolandas belgium doctor who diagnosed her is being called to resign for unsafe practices. I did some research on the guy, Kenny de Meirleir. Found out he owns the lab that he does all his patients testing at. Also i read his wife has interest or owns the company that makes the supplements he tells his patients to take. Wow. If this isnt a red flag, what is?? Apparently he does fecal tests to “detect” chronic fatigue syndrome and Lyme disease. R u kidding me?? All his testing is unapproved by U.S standards. Seems this guys tells everyone they have CFS or lyme or both

MARCH 9, 2016 AT 11:35 PM

Yolanda promotes the lab Igenex on her instagram. This lab is a private lab that has been investigated by the government several times because of so many positive Lyme disease tests coming from them. Real doctors will NOT use this lab. Ive asked several doctors including an infectious disease specialist, anout this lab and she warned me that they were a complete scam and perform invalidated tests that mean nothing! They constantly give cdc negative test results but positive by theyre standards….even though they are not a medical facility! My doctor said this lab is incahoots with all the naturopathic doctors that give out lyme diagnosis left and right. So this is what yolanda is promoting. Shes most definitely involved somehow with them and has to be getting money for promoting this misinformation

ETA I forgot to add the founder of Igenx's son is a Lyme literate doctor. Things that make you go hmm.

Blog on Yolanda's OZ appearance by Real Skeptics of TV.    https://realskepticsoftv.wordpress.com/2016/03/08/yolandas-visit-to-oz/

I had to laugh at the implant part of the article. Talk about telling lies to cover lies?

I am not a mental health care anything......but, I have to say that her cavalier attitude in telling tall tales shows that she has NO problem doing it and if you happen to question it? You are the mean person/bully - shame on you! How could you kick a person who is ill, while they are down?

She flips the script on you and preys on the things that you learned growing up? Don't be mean, don't be rude and never question a person's illness/frailty.

Because it is an 'invisible illness' - to the onlooker - it allows her to get away with all kinds of shit.

She shows up to hang out with Drunk and Drunker (Love THAT!) and that fries her for the rest of the day? To top it off she posts a group selfie - "wish you were here" - then rushes home to put on her robe and do a little Face Time to get an excuse?

I am going to appeal to everyone who hasn't felt well/looked like shit/doesn't want to be bothered?

The last place 99% of us are going to show up is instaglam or twatter?  We want to get better - we want to stop coughing, sneezing, puking, shitting and hacking up lungs. We want the fever to go away, the aches to soften and people to leave us alone.

IF you need to inform people you are sick, you are sick.

If you need to inform people, chapter and verse about your illness, you are ill.

If you need to lie about your illness - you probably are going to lie and say you aren't lying.

The RIGHT thing to say to someone like that? "I know you don't feel well and I am sure you don't want to keep reminding yourself just how sick you are. I care for you and think that you should think positive and not dwell on your illness."

In other words, Fuck you and leave me alone.

You're right about smiling people being better at making the products they're trying to sell seem desirable, though.  Think about make-up ads and models - they're always smiling (unless they're selling wrinkle cream, lol) or pouting or winking or smizing (smiling with only their eyes) - animated, happy faces are more interesting and appealing to look at, so you linger on the lipstick or mascara or whatever.

Didn't Gigi have a contract with Maybelline?  Has anyone seen if she smiles in those ads?

I'm sad just seeing that still of Gigi. The latest pictures I've seen of her, she's really lost that beautiful, sleepy kitten face and is looking more generic, cheek bone like a cliff, modelesque. She had such an unusual beauty.

The more I hear about Yolanda, and her taller daughter contraptions, and Bella's teenage plastic surgery, and so forth, the more I think she gives Kris Jenner a run for her momager money. Yo seems to have mostly slid under the radar as a well-intentioned "good mother" who just wants her kids to see the world and find their own little Julio Iglesiases, though. I can't imagine the pressure she's put those kids under to live up to her future supermodel expectations. Maybe Yolanda's problem is really that, now that the toys have escaped the workshop, she's turned all of her tinkering and fixing and perfecting energy onto herself.

Perhaps Crystal Hefner has the same pre-nup attorney as Yolanda who uses the Lyme Disease spousal support retirement program.

I knew about her Dutch Housewives show, but I didn't know that it was filmed during the time she had supposedly contracted Lyme Disease and was having all of the life altering symptoms.

She wasn't making any claims of illness back then. She really didn't claim to be ill until her second season and it would come and go frequently as she need a reason to excuse something nasty she said/did. Remember her nearly choking that guy after claiming she had been so ill and weak for weeks!

And, in that clip shown above of her and Gigi/Bella getting final fittings for their dresses, she had no problem telling the guy where exactly to take the dress in and how to smooth out any "lines" in the dress, no problems at all, yet she now claims she was in a fog, a Lyme brain fog during that time. LOL

  • Love 8

You do realize that "brain fog" can come and go with Lyme, right?  For my friend, it's worse when she's tired, she's often good for the first 4-5 hours at university, but has had to change her schedule to accommodate that, instead of long 8-12 hour days in the lab 3-4 days a week, she now works there 7 days a week, but for only 4-5 hours at a time, until she's completely wiped out and not thinking clearly enough for her PhD program.

I think Yo does have Lyme, and does have the problems, but with Yo, her weird treatments, and bizarre "treatment" from that MD, as well as her mad chase for "natural fixes" around the world has made everything much worse.  That doesn't mean Lyme doesn't have horrible side effects for many, including, quite possibly her.  I just think she's made it so much worse.

Yolanda made zero claims of 'brain fog" during the time she was filming the Dutch show, zero. She mad no mention of being sick her first season on this show either, it all happened/came to light her second season on the BH show. Had Yolanda been that sick while filming the Dutch show, why didn't she seek medical help back then and why didn't she complain about it back then? Her illness timeline has changed so much over the years that she doesn't know which lie/story she told when.

As for her "brain fog", we all have those moments, forgetting why we walked into a room, where we put something even though we just placed it there. Her description of her "brain fog" isn't that much different than what most peri/menopausal women feel either. Factor in that she was diagnosed with having CFS in a reputable top notch hospital here in the US but that wasn't good enough for her and she went to a highly questionable Dr. in Belgium to get a diagnosis of CLD (a disease that does not exist according to science, leading medical research, the CDC and most Dr.s) and that she didn't start to recover despite her gazillion treatments until she had explant surgery suggest that LD may not have been a correct diagnosis to begin with. I don't believe she has "brain fog" due to LD anymore than I believe her "brain swells".

My husband had aches/pains, got tired easily and his memory was foggy.  I was terrified since his father had Alzheimer's.   He was too young for this.  The doctor kept saying it was "just getting older'.   Nope - I requested some specific tests - urine calcium most importantly.  Sure enough it was over the top high.   More tests and MRI's, and they found his had para-thyroid disease.   4 tiny glands behind the voice box.  One had grown the size of a grape.   The day of his surgery it was like a fog lifted.  He was back to his sharp self.  No memory issues. It was almost immediate.   I doubt that YO has parathyroid disease, but with all of her complaints, it should be checked.

I don't think she was able to find 100+ quacks (this at 4 years - averaging 2 docs a month) on the planet.

A 'good' doc will see you and then do a multiphasic evaluation - blood, Xrays and what ever tests he feels that are needed. that would take at least a few weeks to get the results back - less it you were really sick and needed a referral. The doc would have found the 'ruptured implant' story is where she gets caught in her lies, any x-ray and given it would have been given a better look-see with a follow-up.

Her ass hurts.

Well there you see the problem, don't you?  No way is Yoolander going to settle for something that can be fixed.  How else can she martyr on for attention?  Considering what wealth gets you in terms of US health care, if she had something wrong with her it would be fixed and addressed.  Leaky implant.  Once it reached a point she could no longer ignore it, notice how quickly she got it taken care of.  In the US.  The land that otherwise refuses to give her the type of diagnosis and treatment she says, medical expert she is (if you count the school of vicious nasty self serving lies as giving out medical degrees).  Funny how she had to go abroad to find a doctor to give her the Lyme's declaration but she is fine with someone here in an otherwise inept medical system cutting her open.  Why didn't Dr. Klingwrap call on her ancestral bad karma and have the ghosts of implants past spirit it out?

I suspect that she had a raft of the most invasive tests performed and when nothing came back she found acceptable she decided the best way to get it, was to simply lie.  And she has found people for a nice hefty regular check to do so for her.  At this point I think the only thing wrong with her just needs a nice Kansas farmhouse and a strong wind to cure.

And what is with Gigi not being able to keep even the grim reaper runway death stare look.  She is starting to slip.  Granted Kendall Jenner looks like death lost interest all the time, but at least when she walks she can keep the single expression on her face.  A couple of the Paris shows and all I can think is ''ohh Grumpy Cat just farted".  She keeps this up and Mommy is going to have to get out a hammer needle and knife and knock that face back into steady and stolid shit.  Even Bella tottering on those too high heels manages to keep her blowfish lips at just the right continuous angle.  Though maybe someone whispered the rumors her pretend boyfriend has been rather busy with someone else celebrating the release of his new single.  Don't worry droppy kitty face.  Mommy has a new pretend celebrity boyfriend or three already lined up I am sure.   And lets face it.  Bland ex-boy-bander with nostrils more worked than your sister's wasn't going to stick around in hopes you make a bigger splash as a Victoria Secret Model come next year's show.  That is like seven dog years or twenty celebrity relationship ones.

The mannequin discussion reminded me of a teenage experience I had.  Have any of you ever accidentally talked to a mannequin?  I did, once.  I saw her quickly only from the side and assumed she was a clerk.  I began asking her questions about something I was looking for.  When I realized she wasn't real, I actually said, "Oops, sorry," as if she could understand me.

I was so embarrassed and looked around to see whether anyone had noticed.  I was horrified to see that a group of middle-aged to older women who were shopping together, were standing just a few feet away, and when I looked at them, they totally went berserk, laughing.  I felt tears in my eyes, when all of a sudden, one woman's bladder let go, all over the swanky carpet!  Of course, I cracked up, and they all did, while the poor, chubby woman just saturated the place, and the others were jumping out of her way.  Funniest thing I've ever seen!

I've never spoken to a mannequin since, but I've never forgotten that one experience.  (That mannequin just continued to smile.)
