  1. There's no telling yet why Chad let Kingsley out. Maybe the dog was barking and Kim insisted, or Kim just wanted her "son" near her. It seems apparent that Kim didn't move to put the dog away while the makeup artist was safely hiding and instead coaxed the woman out to be mauled, so I'm inclined to think that Kim was, as ever, insisting on everyone acting according to the rules of her personal reality. Kingsley's a big sweetie! Come see!
  2. When you talk about the consequences of the dog escaping, that really makes the stakes clear. Poor Kingsley.
  3. I respect your experience, this is not meant to be a challenging or an argumentative question but, we're talking about people with ridiculous amounts of money here. The Richards clan can buy any level of skilled professionals they've a mind to. You really think there's no hope for Kingsley, even if he just lived in a sanctuary somewhere? Normal family life seems right out of the question, but aren't there a few places he could live out his life? I know some of Michael Vicks' dogs remained unadoptable and still live in a sanctuary. Granted, they were wrecked fighting other dogs, not preying on people, but I'm sure the staff still are very careful.
  4. It would not shock me to hear that Kyle knew Kim had Kingsley living with her at a property Kyle either owns or signed the lease for. They all appease Kim to keep the peace. If so, Kyle would rightly owe big time for that misjudgment. Kim being Kim, it's also possible that Kim lied about Kingsley's whereabouts and it was a secret. Sad to hear that. Enabling Kim is practically Kimberly's job. I can't blame her for not having disentangled herself yet, she's still very young. And it doesn't appear to me from the outside that anyone else in the family has set an example to follow of what having healthy boundaries with Kim looks like. I feel incredibly sorry for the woman who was attacked. Imagine being so hurt and so helpless and at the mercy of people who were openly prioritizing the welfare of the dog that attacked you over your own life and safety. The insanity of that would actually be terrifying to me, it upends all your expectations of normal human response. You're afraid of the dog, and now you're afraid of the people, too. Bleeding and scared and she had to negotiate for help, Jesus.
  5. Chad living with Kyle and Mauricio doesn't seem out of character for the family. They're tight with Kim's kids, and maybe Chad needs a little extra support. Or he could have been petsitting the Umansky menagerie. It's more than just the dogs, isn't it? With Kyle out of town, I could totally see Kim coming over to get her hair and makeup done in posh surroundings. Kyle probably has a pro set-up there. Kim living in a property owned by Kyle/the Umansky family is also very plausible. I suppose more details will be coming out soon that clear things up. Kyle would absolutely and deservedly be on the hook if she agreed to let Kingsley live in a property she owned, but I bet she'd settle fast if that were the case. I hope this doesn't turn into a storyline.
  6. Is Kim supposed to be sober these days? Sober-ish, maybe? Because this behavior, looking at a bleeding, seriously mauled victim who is begging for help, Kim extorts promises to protect the dog instead of calling 911 and then still won't call 911 but rather calls her lawyer/cover-up team to enforce the agreement and remove the victim - who could do that? Kim Richards is a stone cold sociopath, y'all. I wonder how much Kyle even knew about the truth of this situation. You know Kim wouldn't hesitate to put the screws to her own child to keep the secret, and the lawyer wouldn't talk; Kim's the client even if somebody else is paying his retainer. And if that was actually Kyle and Mauricio's home, I would be astounded to hear they let Kingsley live there. Not with their children living there, too. I'll be ready to believe that Kim has actual psychic powers of mind control if that proves to be the case. Can we finally lay to rest the notion that Kim Richards is a troubled woman with a good heart?
  7. Yeah, and contrast Katie Holmes' situation with Nicole Kidman's. Nicole tried to play ball, share custody, co-parent, and how did that work out? Leaving Scientology is no joke. But with what happened to Nicole to warn her, Holmes planned her divorce like she was leading a SEAL Team Six secret op. I'm normally Judgey McBitcherson about people leaving kids behind, but I imagine that Kate B.'s situation might have been pretty desperate. It's so sad that she hasn't at least been able to reconnect with her child as an adult.
  8. Obamacare didn't abolish private insurance, nothing is forcing Cait to purchase a plan from the marketplace. And I'm pretty sure income requirements are only about whether you can qualify for a subsidy. I think Cait is just full of shit, as per usual. I'd like to know where she pulled that number from, but it's probably some fresh from her ass calculation of how much the Democrats have cost her in taxes or some such. I really wonder if Cait can possibly be as oblivious as she seems to understanding that some of the politicians she's spoken so admiringly of regard her as an abomination. Does she really think she's too special a snowflake to be reviled the way poorer, less connected transfolk are?
  9. These people aren't actual friends, though. They all know the deal. Has any dinner party ever made onscreen without drama? So, they all take a chance on riding the tiger.
  10. I'm sad just seeing that still of Gigi. The latest pictures I've seen of her, she's really lost that beautiful, sleepy kitten face and is looking more generic, cheek bone like a cliff, modelesque. She had such an unusual beauty. The more I hear about Yolanda, and her taller daughter contraptions, and Bella's teenage plastic surgery, and so forth, the more I think she gives Kris Jenner a run for her momager money. Yo seems to have mostly slid under the radar as a well-intentioned "good mother" who just wants her kids to see the world and find their own little Julio Iglesiases, though. I can't imagine the pressure she's put those kids under to live up to her future supermodel expectations. Maybe Yolanda's problem is really that, now that the toys have escaped the workshop, she's turned all of her tinkering and fixing and perfecting energy onto herself.
  11. This is why my grandmother told me to never go to doctors. "They always find something wrong! There wasn't anything wrong with me before I went to that doctor!" Now, Gramma was maybe taking things to an extreme, but she kind of had a point, too, that Yolanda could stand to pay a little attention to. But I suppose Yo is buying all the trouble she wants and doesn't need advice on how to avoid it.
  12. Good find! And some choice pearl clutching at the link: Even Tom Girardi should have known better than to display a raunchy video at a meeting at which members of the state’s highest court were present. Of course, good judgment would have precluded showing it at any bar meeting. Or, for that matter, anywhere. Some members will treasure the past year as the group’s “Camelot,” during which a benefactor treated members to largely subsided meals at swank places and to free concerts. The more discerning will recall this year as one in which the group, formed in 1977, temporarily went out of existence. Deputy Attorney General Steve Mesi will be sworn in as president on Jan. 28 at the San Antonio Winery, and the Italian American Lawyers Assn. will spring back into being. Normalcy, it is anticipated, will be restored. "Even Tom Girardi..." snerk! At least he's proud of her?
  13. So, he treats Erika like staff. And she calls him "Boss". That is not great for her. It's unlikely to happen, but I'd like to see how Tom treats his grown children. If the boss behavior is a family wide phenomenon, maybe it would seem less wounding. Still obnoxious, though.
  14. Oh, I think not a thing in common. Jerry has her own money, her own circle, decades long friendships with other women, grown children, and a history of dating intellectually interesting men - not just Mick. She and Rupert look absolutely giddy in some of their wedding pictures, too. I think they're the real deal. I do think couples like Jerry and Rupert give a sort of cover to couples like Erika and Tom. Like, you can see it's possible that other May-December, trophy-looking arrangements are happy couplings and you want to be fair because, hey, maybe this works for them. I'm now on the train that thinks Erika is in a sad situation, though.
  15. Maybe forgetting the cameras are there during the gossip but remembering after and fearing the consequences is the reason Kathryn flipped on Erika. In the moment, it was just chatter about new acquaintances, but the realization that Lisa would see and hear all that and that Lisa carries grudges more than she does Giggy caused Kathryn to think where her bread was most likely buttered and runtellthat. For that matter, the same could explain Erika tattling to Yolanda. I'm guessing that calculating alliances and Machiavellic scheming take up a not inconsiderable amount of all of these women's time after this many seasons of the show. And some of them have not much else going on in their lives to distract them from it.
