Welcome back. Due to the eclipse, they decided not to air the episode.

It looked like my DVD recorded it, but when I went to watch, it was a show about border security.

Thanks @jewel21.  I am trying to catch up.  I watched half of today's episode and almost fell asleep due to boredom.

She's calling the shots in the sex trafficking ring, isn't she? (And she was Cassie's adoptive mother, right?)

Yes, and I think so too. Her appearing in town with Sharon after the ring is too coincidental. The actress who plays Alice & SC are BFF's so maybe it was SCs idea.

no, it wasn't her idea.

TC, in an interview in sod said that she was called by y&r out of the blue and was asked if she would be interested in going back.  she said she was but then didn't hear anything more from them for a while.  then, she said that she was called and was told about what her storyline would be but was sworn to secrecy and she couldn't even tell sc about it.  she apparently wore a ball cap and dark sunglasses (shades of phyl being incognito behind a potted palm).  once inside and in make up and hair, she said clb came in and was happy to see her and was taking pics but was told he couldn't post them.

anyway, way to go y&r, what a surprise you pulled off.

ETA:  sally was a writer when tc was on playing alice in the cassie storyline so she would know all about the character.

Oh, lordy, this show!

  • Ravi and Ash spitball new product and marketing ideas zzzzzzz.......
  • Scott interrupts Mikey and Lauren's romantic evening.  He leaves after sparring with Lauren about Sharon. Then a furious Phyllis drops by, oblivious to the tell-tale signs of imminent sexy times, to wail about Billy leaving her high and dry and horny to run to Vic re a work thing.  It turns out his hacking revealed that Jabot has a plan to purchase a skin care co. and kick BS off of the Fenmore shelves and replace it with their new line.  I am confused: isn't Jabot a cosmetics/skin care co.?
  • Phyllis thinks Victoria is scheming to get Billy back; Vic thinks that Phyllis is in on Jack's plan to destroy BS so that she can have Billy in her clutches 24/7.  Billy trusts Phyllis, but wants to go to war with Jack, who is the true enemy.  Billy and Vic rush over to confront Ash and Ravi about Jack's nefarious plan.  Separately, Ravi unwittingly lets it slip to Vic that Hochmann met with both Jack and, later, Phyllis at Jabot.  Vic, in spite of her blurry head, puts two and two together and realizes Phyllis is in fact part of Jack's plan.  At the same time, Phyllis admits to Lauren and Michael that she is colluding with Jack against BS and would love to see BS go down.  It looks like it is war between Phyllis and Vic.
  • Faith is unhappy with her new living arrangements after Chelz tries to bond with her; Nick is going to be tougher on Faith going forward and then promptly caves when the furniture arrives and she is thrilled.
  • Sharon tells Nick that Alice is in the sex ring, but he doesn't buy it.  Later she tells Scott, who does believe her and will investigate.

Previews:  Nikki wants  to know if Jack is planning on destroying her daughter's company.  Billy tells Vic that he is not going to let her or BS become collateral damage, and she replies: no matter what the cost?

Did they get a new Director?  We suddenly had different angles of Phyllis' love nest and the Winters house.  Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention before.  Oh, and suddenly we are seeing the athletic part of the GCAC again.  Tessa, Noah and Zack were there today.  Yesterday it was Prick and Dick.  Tessa and Noah are talking about Chrystal, which was boring, and then Zack gets a picture of Chrystal on his phone and replies that he has big plans for her.

Lane are pretending they are still a family and make waffles for their little kids for the first day of back to school.  Cane looks happy to be in the kitchen with Lily.  Breakfast is tense, though.

Billy and Phyllis are lovey dovey over breakfast but she wonders why her computer is telling her to log back in when she never logged out.

Meanwhile, Hilary is on her extended scorched earth tour; this time she has Juliet in her sights, and rains on her parade re Cane.  Then she heads over to Jabot, where she bonds with Phyllis over her feud with Victoria.  On her way out of the Jabot building she bumps into Lily in the elevator and they duke it out over Jordan.

Juliet and Cane find out their baby does not have CF and that it is a boy.  Cane hugs her because she is so wrung out from worrying about the baby.

When Billy shows up at work, Victoria is pleased to see him but plays it cool.  She glosses over THE KISS, and says that she knows that he is with Phyllis.  Billy asks why Vic didn't tell him about Phyllis admitting that she sent Hochman her way.  She dodges the question.  They talk strategy re their fight with Jabot and Billy confirms that he is willing to use Phyllis' computer to hack into Jabot's server to get inside intel.

Vic and Billy are at the GCAC bonding over back to school shopping when Phyllis shows up.  Vic apologizes to Phyllis for the elevator incident, and invites her to join them. Awkwardness ensues when Villy talk kid stories.

Sharon Super Sleuth catches Alice in a lie about where she lives, and mentions the name Chrystal to get a reaction.  Alice leaves.  Sharon spends the rest of the time trying to convince Nick that Alice is really into sex trafficking, but he is skeptical.  Sharon reveals that she messed with Alice's car, in a strange scene where she pulls a screwdriver out of her bag with glee.

Previews:  Hil spots Maddie and Reed kissing at CL; Jordan tells Cane that if Lily wants to talk to him, it's up to her and not Cane; Lily tells Charlie that she may never get back together with Cane.

Right now the only things I watch for are Tessa, Mariah and Hilary. At least they've got some spirit. Everything else just seems like boring rehash of crap we've all seen a million times before on this show. Jack is trying to fuck with somebody's company, Phyllis is being a man trap, Victoria is a whiny rag on a stick, Nick walking into walls. *yawn*.

  • Love 10

Was I the only one who found it ridiculous and eye-roll inducing, when Tessa and Mariah were sitting in the car and marveling at the 'rich' neighbourhood they were in? Um, you both live on the Newman estate. WTF? The whole thing was weird. Especially with Tessa having lived on the actual ranch at one point. I get both were born poor, but they've been exposed to a move lavish lifestyle for awhile now.

I did like that they were driving one of those cute little Fiats...

All in all, I thought it wasn't a bad episode--any time I get the Abbott high-finance manoeuvres and that cast of characters, I'm okay. The Sex Slaves of Wisconsin thing, I just kind of watch through.

We've seen the outside Victor's 'mansion' from time to time.  It's quite large and much grander than what we have seen inside.

Love it when strangers come to say the Chancellor house. "wow, did you see those gardens?" And "a bowling alley AND a movie theater?" "A playground?" etc

I'm being facetious.

Haven't watched the entire ep, but there were some funny moments today that are worth sharing:

  1. Dina being a bitch to not only Drinki but also to Phyllis.  But she is not just a bitch, she is masterful in her takedowns!
  2. Dina giving Ash the key to Graeme's room so that she can search for anything incriminating, and expecting her to find nothing.  Ash actually goes to his room, and is hilarious in her searching of his things.  She finds a letter or something that refers to rental of a suite at an active living residence.  She copies down the info and goes to leave and Graeme is at the door!  Oh, I hope Dina knew that would happen.  Previews show Graeme threatening to call the cops on Ash if she doesn't explain herself.
  3. Jack and Drinki decide to go to the cabin for a little getaway.  They are in the elevator kissing and Victoria enters.  Awkward convo ensues with all of them facing forward.  Jack gives Drinki his hankie to wipe her lipstick.  Vic says, I wasn't expecting to see you two, or THAT!  Then they politely talk about their business truce, and Vic gets off the elevator and very dramatically wishes them a good time.
  4. Faith finds out that Gwampire lied to her and tells him she can no longer trust him.

What I have always thought odd about the "new" ranch, built after the original burnt down is that it is very dated looking. At least where I live, that style of house was popular about 30 years ago. I always wondered why they were unable to find an exterior that actually looks like it may have been built in the last several years. And yes, the interior is underwhelming. The old ranch was much nicer.

Another skim watch today, but a couple of important things happened:

  • Prick finds out from Nick that Drinki is the one that outted him re the Faith visit.  He is so upset by this that he leaves a voicemail for Drinki, essentially threatening her, and then he calls someone, whom he reminds owes him a favour, and tells mystery someone to get back to GC.  I cannot think who this is.  Kevin?  Marco? Patty?
  • Drinki and Jack are up at the cabin and weirdly Abby shows up expecting it to be empty.  She chides them for their relationship and how it will hurt Prick, which will hurt them all.  And then she leaves.  Drinki is troubled, but stays.  She and Jack are on the porch soaking in the beautiful nature and then they share a passionate kiss--which is photographed by someone in the woods. In the previews for Monday's ep, Prick sees Drinki at the GCAC and asks her if she was with Jack last night, so I guess the photographer is his doing?
  • Graeme catches Ash, and she talks her way out of it by saying Dina sent her to his room to pick  up some docs.  He later confronts Dina who tries to blow it off, and wonders whether he has something to hide.  He says he has no secrets.  He presses her about Ash, who is always haranguing him and treats Dina with contempt.  Dina breaks down and says she owes Ash, because she lied to her for a long time, and then she tells Graeme that John Abbott is not her father.  Previews show him telling Dina that she can trust him with her secrets.
  • Ash calls the active living place in Boca, asks for the Bloodsworth suite, and gets a woman on the other end.  Ash pretends to be a telemarketer for a phone company and wants to know how much the woman is paying for phone service.  The woman says her bills are all paid by her son, and then hangs up.  We see, as she hangs up the phone, a photo of Graeme.

Not important stuff, but more of a warning:

  • Billy and Phyllis have an argument about how Dina treated her and Billy didn't back her.  She is no longer interested in dinner.  He drags her to the GCAC for a workout, where we the viewers are subjected to a cutesy back and forth and a crunches competition.  But it gets worse, as they end up in the steam room and presumably doing the nasty.  I missed that part, luckily for me.

Blabby was insufferable as usual today. Where TF does she get off criticizing Jack and Nikki, considering her own history of banging her niece's husband? I may or may not have* yelled "SHUT UP ABBY" at the television ?

*I did, in fact, yell just that.

She certainly wasn't anywhere near this upset - or upset much at all, as I remember - when Daddy Dearest kidnapped Uncle Jack, replaced him with a body double and had Phyllis raped on a consistent basis.

I sure hope her new prostitution app is everything she deserves, and SO much more.

Melissa will probably be off the show for a while due to her maternity leave and I can't wait. Abby will soon be embarrassed by her dumb new business opportunity and maybe leave town.

I have no objection to Melissa - she posts adorable vids of her daughter on her IG - I just can't stand Abby ?

When the Billy/Phyllis love scenes are over and he goes back to Victoria I will be so happy. Billy and Victoria deserve each other. I like watching GT but her Phyllis character swooning over Billy leaves me cold.

GT deserves a better storyline.

They all deserve better stories. Besides GT and JT loves this Philly dysfunction it seems. So I am sure it is here to stay until Mal's regime.

Yeah, they don't deserve better stories when this is what the actors want to play. They apparently like this so-called "banter" and having sex all around town. JT and GT want this, like this, and it won't change with Mal in charge.

Victor really is a classic abuser. He may not do it physically, but to pull all the heinous shit that he does and then blame other people for his actions is abusive behaviour. UUGGHHH

But, he sat all alone in the dark, all alone... And if anyone thinks, other than "Where's the nearest familial ass to kiss?" Abby, that the old fart was having pangs of conscience, their levels of delusion are beyond me. Mind you, the lighting was nice.

I am glad Faith got Victor knocked down a peg on his pedestal she puts him on. The fact he used her mothers dead child against her and gaslit her is something Faith also should be told. The fact Noah even gives Victor the time of day after that is appalling.

Too bad Faith doesn't have any mean girl/bully school mates to whip out their computers and show her.  "Here's where your grampa had that man tortured and his wife raped. And here's where......" That might be a good story and the kid could pull it off.

The lack of awareness of all the Newman, Abbot, Winters, Fenmore children has always bothered me. What with all the flashmob 'press conferences' these people have every time some (personal)business event happens, you'd think the kids would be a little more up to date with the goings on of their elders.  Also, the Elders discuss everything in a public venue (coffee shop, elevator, bookstore, all office building/hospital hallways) at the top of their lungs.  We have Hillary now, too, who sends everything global minutes after it happens.  No rock is too small to turn over in GC.  The ignorance makes sense in that we rarely see the children interacting with their friends (have we ever seen Sam, Noah's sleepover buddy?) with the rare exception of UndercoverdeadCop Girl who was Summer's bestie until she went into the closet. The kids are all friends with the other kids in the families.  [Reminds me of the Mafia Wedding in Goodfellas.] Your best friend should be shoving a phone in your face before the bullies do.  Personal note:  I think all of the Next Generation is dumb as a bag of hair until they get handed an executive position at the respective international =snerk= family company/dynasty.  Then they become the smartest go-getter evah!  How soon will Charlie be heading up the Winters Conglomerate?

Today's ep revealed some more about the mysterious Graham!

Turns out Graham is the one who hired someone to photograph Jack and Drinki.  The pics are delivered to his room and he in turn puts them in an envelope and then reaches into a file folder of pre-printed address labels (!?) and affixes Prick's mailing label.  He also has pre-printed labels with Dina's address and this he affixes as the sender!  Not sure what he is up to, but it is something.

Also, Jack and Ash call the Boca facility and ferret out more info on Mama Bloodsworth.  She is in the most expensive suite, she checked in in 2012, and she is also from GC.  Not sure this Boca guy understands privacy laws, but now Jack and Ash realize that Graham is from GC and has been lying about everything.

Dina tried to dismiss the info Ash brought her about Graham's mother, but she did seem surprised. Earlier, Dina had a nightmare  in the form of a flashback to where Dina threatened to kill Brent, and she had a gun.  Did she kill him?  I don't think I was watching then.  Later, when Graham confronts her about Ash's nosiness, Dina says that she regrets telling Graham about Ash's paternity, and if he ever breathed a word about it, he would be dead to her.

Prick and Drinki have an argument in the GCAC gym, which Graham overhears.  Not sure why these rich people don't have their own gym.  Well, I guess Drinki is living at the GCAC, but Prick surely must have his own gym at the ranch.

Cane wants Lily to take him back, and reminisced about four year old Maddie on the sofa, followed by them screwing on the same sofa.  That was beyond weird.  She agrees to go to counselling with him but in the previews we see that she bails mid session.

Oh, and we also learn that Jack and Drinki are not yet having sexy times, they are taking it slow.
