Season 20: Live Feed Discussion

Stupid question:  BB has to know about all of the houseguests' allergies (food or otherwise), right?  If BB knew a houseguest was allergic to peanut butter and they saw that houseguest eating peanut butter, they would try to stop them, right?  (Though I'm hoping no one would be THAT stupid.)  So I'm guessing this must have an unknown allergy for Sam - which really sucks to find out on a National TV show.

Oh yeah there was a second post by "Vegas" somewhere saying the production assistants that tried out the "endurance" slip and slide before the summer began took forever so that was why this version was made easier.  I guess no one thought to hire "athletic" production assistants.

So far those production assistants were too smart putting a 6 piece puzzle together in under 45 seconds and were too nonathletic to do a standard endurance test run.  That is 0 for 2 for anyone keeping score.  I think they may be looking into other job possibilities at this point.

Has Sam ever worn her hair down and looking good?

I think one live show she did. The other day she said she hates her hair. Says it’s an awkward length and wants to chop it. I think she misses her extensions.

I wonder if Scottie is now thinking wow I should have believed what Angela was telling me about what Bay, Hay & Fessy were trying to do during her HOH.

I believe Tyler even told Scottie to be careful with Hay.

Thanks. BB time always throws me off since I’m on the east coast. I’m good for Saturday since I’m at home. Monday, I have to pretend to be working while watching & listening. Thank god computers have more then one screen. LOL!!!!!!

Picking at his body & the constant playing with his hair. He is so high maintenance.

Surely you're not implying Level Tyler has ever had Scottie's back. Both sides have been blaming him for everything. And a lot of that is his fault. He's sketchy as hell.

Hide and Seek is mostly luck. I say mostly because it does take a little imagination.

Also this means feeds will be down for a long time. That comp is the longest.

They have - and then changed their minds - and changed them back - and changed them again - lather, rinse, repeat.

I'm sure they have said that at some point earlier, but over time in the house all kinds of other scenarios will play in people's minds as well.

That’s the universal AND unavoidable problem of life in the House: overthinking the fuck outta EVERYTHING, simply because there’s very little else to do in the House.  You can only play so much football or chess, or only eat so much, or take so many showers; get done with that, and there’s nothing else to do in the House other than think, or talk, or think about talking, or talk about thinking.

Lol, Sam is convinced that this is a plan between Scottie and Fessy to backdoor Angela or Tyler.  She told Brett they were having a fake fight in the kitchen to sell it.  Now she's grilling Scottie about what's going on.  She doesn't seem to believe Scottie when he says that Fessy is angry with him and the nom is for real.

Sam is also convinced that she herself if being evicted this week.

Sam:  I'm going to the little house with Rockstar.

Scottie:  I don't know what that means.

Neither do we Scottie, neither do we.

I can think of several possible meanings - but then again, I have a mind so dirty it makes Oscar the Grouch go “Ew.”

Tyler/Brett talking. Brett wants to know who he should choose for HG Choice because he doesn't want to pick Tyler if Scottie/Fessy will.

Brett is thinking about picking Sam. Tyler thinks that he wants to choose her because she might not win.

Nope, Tyler swerved to Brett possibly picking Haleigh instead. No, Tyler, no! (But also yes because I want to see if Haleigh's a dumbass and not use the veto).

Also, Brett is surprisingly keeping his trap shut so far about the Sam conversation.

At least it is random enough that Scottie totally COULD win it. It's not one of those POV comps where people can team up and make sure a certain person doesn't win. That's big.

Fun to watch the House get shredded, though - partly because after the post-comp cleanup, the House frequently ends up looking better than it did before the comp.  ;)

Although I do have to give this HG crew credit; other than Celebrity BB, this may be one of the cleanest Houses i can remember.

There is a little bit of strategy to Hide & Seek (albeit not much).  There are definitely some hiding spots that are better than others and players could intentionally mess up the around around their hidden veto to make it seem like that area was already searched.  I'm assuming Scottie has been thinking about these things so we'll see.

Oh I'm sure he will.  He'll point and make fun of her and call her an idiot.  I'm sort of hoping Brett makes final two and gets zero keys.  When it's announced, I hope the jury, the audience, and Julie,  laughs at him and tells him he's pathetic.  He'd probably start sobbing like a little bitch.

Nah. Brett’s the kind of guy who’s always in on the joke. That’s why he targets the HGs who take themselves far too seriously, like Rockstar and Bayleigh.

Besides, humiliating and degrading the jury doesn’t exactly preclude somebody from winning the game. Look at BB2, BB7, BB8, BB10, BB13, and BB19.

Very interesting.... Brett says maybe he does pick Sam and keep things even keel. Tyler said she is feeling pretty saf and may not go full out for it.
Brett never tells Tyler about the intimate conversation they had earlier in the day.

So, I'm just on part 1 and I'm actually thinking about something. So, Sam doesn't tend to talk game a lot. Who does she really talk game with, though? It's so rare to hear Sam talk legit game  for more than a minute (before going into Crazy Nonsensical Game Talk Sam). Honestly, I can't even recall hearing this Game Talk Sam with Tyler, but I'm not positive. I'm actually wondering how many times Game Talk Sam has come out over the season like this.

And then, JC gets out fo the shower and tells Tyler that Sam called him into the Have NOt room and said lets have a three person alliance with Brett. Tyler says, look at that, look at her ( kind of in a "you go girl" type of way.

So Fessy and Haleigh got a heads up from the DR?

By the way, here is part of a clip of Sam/Brett's convo from earlier...specifically, the creepy comment about Sam watching/listening to Brett sleeping at night.

ETA: @Callaphera, it seems we went on the hunt for the exact same clips. I was also about to post the rest of the convo.

I took a nap and figured that there must be some good clips by now. I need to go back and watched what I missed the first time.

So Hide and Go Veto. Obviously, my dream situation is if Sam gets picked/pulled to play. And then picks last in the schoolyard pick (ugh, it's like my fingers know that the Probst is coming soon) so that everyone gets to hide their Veto chips before her. And the house is completely and utterly destroyed by the time Sam runs in there. And she just starts raging at Production and refusing to play. And when they finally convince her to play, she hides her Veto chip so well that no one can find it but every round, Sam goes in and begins to methodically clean the house room by room and ends up finding everyone else's Veto chips and eliminates them all.

I had a brief detour into Feelings Land but I have all this popcorn left over from that shitty ass twenty minute HoH comp and no reason to pop it. And I figure, as crazy as this SCENARIO is, there's probably a 50/50 shot of something like that going down.

Of course, we wouldn't get to see it but I'm all right with that. And I know it would never be shown on the broadcast unless it leads to a Sam DOR (which it totally wouldn't). But Sam's yelling and Production's pleading would most likely be audible to the HGs and we'd probably get snippets of gossip before the feeds could cut away. And really, Scottie's kinda fucked no matter what, whether he stays or goes to jury so I'd rather that he's just put out of his misery and Sam winning would be kinda funny. And you know she'd use the Veto on her secret husband Brett.

Sounds like it. They've been doing that this season. They also hinted to Tyler that the most recent HoH was going to be endurance, so Tyler had his team asleep early. It didn't matter, since Fessy is a beast, but it could have.

The Hide and Seek veto...would Tyler, Angela, KC, Brett, etc. team up against Scottie by hiding it in one spot so one of them could find all the vetos. For example Tyler, Angela, KC could all agree to put the veto in a certain cabinet, then Brett could just go there to get 3 vetos, which would be more than Scottie could get?

Or is that not possible?

Wow.  High excitement hijinks in the House tonight.  Not.

This keeps up not keeping me up, I’m breaking out some of my TV series season DVDs.

Is tonight a Castle night, or Dexter?  Dunno.  House might be somewhat appropriate....

FYI: sounds like the only treatment needed for Sam’s allergic reaction was a bunch of Benadryl tabs, so it wasn’t immediately life-threatening - no need to break out the Epi-Pens.

IIRC the contest is who is the best at hiding, so the last one found is the winner, regardless of who finds the most.

Yes, this is correct.  But that being said, if a group of people wanted to throw this comp, they could employ a similar strategy by putting their veto cards in an obvious spot or a spot one of their alliance members could find.

I know this will never happen but I would love it if BB threw us a bone and let us watch a little bit of the veto (especially after that "grueling" 20 minute endurance comp).

She mentioned yesterday that Rockstar told her that she needed to start playing the game so that she would be able to judge who played the best game at the end.  I think she was talking to Brett or Scottie about it.  I would assume that is what has propelled her into "being gamey" in Sam speak.  Of course, it's Sam so who knows, lol.

I can’t remember how flat the veto cards are for this veto. If they’re really flat I’d try hiding mine under the fridge or behind the sink cabinet in the HOH bathroom. And then don’t let Fessy sit on the cabinet during the comp.

In part 4 of that convo Sam asks Brett if HOH would he put up Angela and Kaycee, he says yes.  Was she being cagey?  Was she thinking, okay then I have to vote him out to protect my alliance or was she hoping he will do that and she has jumped ship and going with her crush Brett.  Or is it stupid of me to even try and understand anything she says?

I completely agree, it's one of the best competitions.  It would be much more interesting watching it live than some boring endurance comp.  That will never happen because of the rip off that is live feed, and the audience being trained to accept all the blackouts.

I agree it was Hay and Angela like Ceeg said.  We already known what she thinks of Hay and that Sam wants Fessy saved from that hussy so that Sam can have him to herself.

And Sam would love for Angela to go out since she is jealous of her moving in on Tyler.  Her asking Tyler if Angela had replaced her (Sam) was really telling this past week. Plus Angela prefers healthy food to what Sam cooks up which makes Sam feel all out of sorts.

And Sam isn't in an alliance with anyone except Tyler aka "Plan A" and now Brett I guess since he is now "Plan B."  Too funny when she came right out and told him she wanted to have a final two with him but that he was Plan B only.  Then she adds she will never get to the final two.  Brett did an amazing job of not cracking up during that whole talk.

Also there is the "final three thingie" as Sam terms it of Tyler/Kaycee/Sam via the pinkie swear.

Remember Sam has no knowledge whatsoever that there is such a thing as Level 6.

Some personal conclusions:

I hate faysal. What an idiot. How stupid. And how creepy.

hayleigh is a nice girl, with a conscience, but dropped the ball too many times and now it’s going to bite her

Brett’s a dick but he’s leading with that. He’s not hiding it and so far it’s working, I guess it’s as good an approach as any

angela just your basic spoiled bitch and a non-entity in the game.  Kaycee, JC, Scottie also non-entities

Tyler is good at this but production has ruined the show and just given him the win

sam is crazy and not in the fun way.  I’m serious I think she needs help and I hope she gets it. She has a real dark side that we’ve seen when her mask slips. And then she’s all “what can’t believe lil ole me said such a bad thing”.  And the projection of her love/lust/possessiveness/obsession with the boys? I’ve been watching this show since season 1 episode 1 and somewhere in my memory of an episode years ago, one of the houseguests held a knife to the neck of a girl, if I remember they were hooking up, and said would you like it if I killed you, something like that...anyway this sam is giving me scary vibes like that.  Of a person who is not what she is pretending to be and needs to get out of there and get help.  Before someone gets hurt.  There’s something desperate about her and that scares me
