I am rooting for an all male F3. Mark, James and Ross.

That wouldn't be the worst final 3, but I'd much rather Mark, James, and Ari as F3. Ari's kind of stone cold with how quickly she's dropped Brandi and is still playing nice as pie for the game, and I kind of respect that. Even if I do find her reasoning kind of dumb (a hinky vote? Really?). Although I also know I'm probably being hypocritical.

My preferred order of eviction goes: Brandi, Omarosa, Marissa, Metta, Ross. But I also wouldn't be upset if Ross left Monday either.

Sure, I definitely agree with you there; I'm willing to bet production started framing his questions at the beginning of the season about him trying to escape, he picked up on it being a topic of interest for the viewers, so he kept it up. But usually, houseguests like Metta find other ways to become characters and memorable; they don't blatantly try to walk out multiple times. Also, they're not even showing all of this on broadcast. I don't know; I go in waves when it comes to Metta. Sometimes I really like him. And then there are the times I hear about him escaping where I go "eh". Production can't love it every time he tries to leave. I know, last week, I think he even managed to get out of the house (I think it was after the feeds turned on? A separate incident from the button smashing one right before the feeds turned on). I know I have a very particular and small sense of humour, so maybe it's just that I don't find it funny and cute like I'm sure he expects it to be by now.

I feel like such a buzzkill. I just don't really like Metta's indecisiveness on whether he wants to play the game or not. It's why, if he does get evicted before F2, I won't be mad.

If it was any other houseguest, I'd agree with you. If Metta tried to leave and acted grumpy or rude or snapped at people and cried about how he wanted to go home all the time, then I'd be with you, but Metta has been a sweetheart to everyone in the house so I can't fault him if he has a bad day and tries to leave. He's been good for awhile, but he seems to be in it to win it.

I just can't hate someone who has been consistently nice to everyone in the house and talked to them in a respectful manner. You don't see that in the house most of the time, so it's nice seeing it done here.

So Metta for the win! Especially since he'll keep Omarosa safe, and I've grown to like her a lot on the show.

I agree @Lady Calypso, I don't find Metta all that charming or adorable. I don't dislike him, just not dazzled.

The men see this too and don't trust him with any alliance talk. If their plan works he will be first to go.

I am rooting for an all male F3. Mark, James and Ross.

Marissa next, oh please oh please.

I have to agree.  Well, I'll put it this way... I think Metta is a good guy, a decent guy, probably quite amusing and likeable in real life.  But is he someone who should be in this game?  No way!

I'd rather that anyone who wants to leave just mosey on out of the house, and leave the remaining people (who actually want to be there) to fight it out to the end.  I mean... I'm sure Mark wants to see his kids and wife.  I'm sure Brandi wants to talk to her kids.  I'm sure Omarosa wants to see her husband, and Ari wants to see her family.   Ross wants to see Salvador.   They're not all trying to walk out of the house on a regular basis.  lol

I'm Team Male too, minus Metta.   I'm a female (despite my porn name being Julius Burnside), but I still want one of the guys to win.  And if not James, Ross or Mark winning, then Ari would be my choice from the women.

He's had, like, four or five bad days. He tried to escape at least twice before the feeds turned on, and then he's tried to escape at least three times now since the feeds turned on. He's only been in the house for about two and a half weeks, with one week to go. I guess I just find it perplexing that he's still trying to escape. Metta, just leave if you want to leave! Stop with the theatrics, man! Stop putting production in an awkward spot!

I know he seems like a nice guy and all, and he's been fairly more tolerable than the other houseguests. I'm glad that he's a decent human being. However, I just don't like him for this game.

Can you just imagine poor Metta if he had somehow accidentally found himself in a 2-month season (like BBOTT), but didn't realize it was going to be that long until he got in the house?   lol   He would have been out of there on the second day, most likely.

Metta had a very interesting basketball career.

Quote

On April 26, 2011, Artest won the NBA's J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award.

Knowing a lot about his career, I find this humorous.

Quote

During his rookie season in Chicago, he was criticized for applying for a job at Circuit City in order to get an employee discount

Yup, he did it.

Ok, so random note about Metta's fifth attempted escape: I know I still don't like that he keeps doing it, but I really want a montage of it for the finale. Also, I grow on the idea of it for the sheer fact that I came up with a decent name for the segment: Catch Me(tta) If You Can.

Hysterical !You can google youtubes of Ron Artest fights on the court.

If Brandi wins POV or even Omarosa, she needs to take Brandi down and put up Ari. That would almost guarantee  that Ross goes. I hope she  figures it out.

When Shannon was leaving the house on eviction night, she told Metta that Orwell was under a bed, I think?

The new owl just showed up with the margarita party from Pop, along with some gift mugs for everyone.

Two new owls came in with the margaritas, actually.

Yes.  I saw her tell him where it was hidden as she left.  So the original owl was not lost or destroyed.  Still wonder why they gave them the second owl..  So there is one for the other HGs to share perhaps.  lol

None of the other HGs wanted to touch the original owl after Metta had been sleeping with it several nights running.

Plus, Metta bogarts the shit out of the original Orwell.

It's hard to tell which alliances are legitimate and which are bogus, but Omarosa was trying to strike a deal with Ari and Metta a bit earlier -- Oma just refuses to let Metta go, even though he keeps trying to leave and does not want to be there.   She needs him on her side, and she wants Ari to partner up with her and with Metta.

Metta even told Mark and James earlier that he does not care at all about even making it to final 4, and yet, because people refuse to let him leave, he will probably end up getting to the end.

Oma told Ari that, if she had her way, she would get James out first.  James is the one she really wants out.  But I guess she had to assure him of his safety when they were in the HoH comp so he would drop.

So Ross is Oma's next target, as we know.   But she thinks that the Veto twist might somehow end up saving Ross and sending Brandi home, so she was trying to run through scenarios with Ari, and suggest how having Metta with them could help them.

Oma and Ari went to talk to Metta, and he seemed to barely grasp what was being explained.

Ari doesn't want to hurt Ross, and she would also feel bad for not giving Brandi a vote to stay, or saving her with Veto in the event she wins POV.  She said that Brandi expects Ari to vote for her to stay (and probably use the Veto on her, if Ari wins it).   So she doesn't know what to do.   Ari is torn.   Ross told her that sometimes friends have to turn against each other in the game, but that he knows their friendship (meaning his friendship with Ari, Brandi and Marissa) is bigger than the game, and they will be great friends outside of the house.  He is not even going to ask Ari to vote for him to stay (and I assume he is not expecting her to use the POV on him, if she were to win it).

Right now, Marissa is trying to figure out who Metta is voting out.

It's starting to get confusing, figuring out all of these alliances and sub-alliances!

Edited to add:  I think that Metta may have just eaten some chopped up raw garlic and something else (maybe a pepper?), leaving Ari, Oma and Marissa horrified.  He continued on to also eat what looked like it could have been a grapefruit (or maybe an orange) and an apple, and something else I am forgetting.

Is there anything worth watching on BBAD? Just stating and it is Marissa forward right out of the gate. I am inclined to skip it.

I just watch BBAD (and sporadically at that) and it’s All Marissa, All The Time as much as I can tell. She’s on constantly and even when they switch to another room, there she is again!

This is the first night I have seen the other HG talk about how much she talks—but see above; maybe I just haven’t seen it. Poor Mark (really? Am I saying “Poor Mark McGrath?) kept trying to gracefully get away from her by doing the towel laundry but nooooooo, she had to be “helpful” and CONSTANTLY ask how she could help. Like, catch a clue, lady.

I decided not to watch. I had the feeds on yesterday for a spell and had to turn them off. Obnoxious does not cover it.  She cannot stop talking, ever.  Mark is at his wits end with her, Brandy is starting to make comments about her blabbering openly.  Twitter is done with her as is James but he has it under control at the moment.

I would not be shocked if she were the next target.

I think James will be done with her completely once Omarosa talks about how Marissa was talking about getting out James next, possibly even tonight if she had the POV power and was able to use it to renom. It also might be the thing to get Marissa sent home tonight. I suspect the Spotlight veto will win (I think most sides of the online world have agreed that Spotlight does the most amount of damage to the Four), so I am now 100% positive Omarosa will nom Marissa, even if Ross wins veto.

Also, it seems like Omarosa, Metta, and Ari made a sorta F3 deal?

It's just nice to get actual gameplay after the mess that was BB19.

In Big Brother Season 11 ( the one with Jeff and Jordan) there was a beautiful African American house guest Chima Simone.  After the coup she was so outraged that this was done to her, she eventually forced productions hand to evict her.

I see Omarosa's HOH being overturned with and she does not get her target out. However, she is too cool, calm and clever to go bat shit. She will be okay and is already planning for other contingencies.

wiki

Chima Simone was a HouseGuest on Big Brother 11. Chima was a member of the Brains Clique. Her downfall began when Jeff Schroeder used the Coup d'Etat to overthrow her nominees, and replace them with her close allies Jessie Godderz and Natalie Martinez which resulted in Jessie's eviction. After Jessie's eviction, she committed various rule violations due to her indignation at what she felt was the producers manipulating the game which ultimately led her being expelled at the final 8.

Chima was not allowed to be on the Jury. Her vote was replaced during the finale with the results of a viewer's poll, which ultimately was for Jordan Lloyd.

Oh, it will. And it'll leave all of thirty seconds for the winner to be announced, walk out into the shower of confetti, and then Julie will tell us to tune in this summer for an all new season. The end.

I had the same reaction to Alex in the last real season of BB, last summer - I couldn't listen to her anymore.   I was so sick of her by the time she left, because she kept talking really fast, and not enunciating well, so that every word was kind of running together and hard to decipher.  Not to mention the fact that her talking was always filled with too many uses of the word "like" (which Marissa does to the extreme as well) and constant, mean-spirited, blown-out-of-proportion, irrational hatred for Kevin.  I cringed whenever I heard her start talking.    It was like a broken record, just playing over and over.   I couldn't take it.  I was sooooo happy when she got evicted so I no longer had to hear her voice.

I guess there are some BB seasons that give us those occasional house guests who drive us to the brink of madness, and we can no longer stand to listen to.  lol

Marissa is also confusing people when she tries to go over the various outcomes of the Veto twist, because she does too much talking about it and doesn't keep it simple.   I have seen Brandi getting confused when trying to follow Marissa's explanations.  I've seen Omarosa and Ari get confused when trying to follow Marissa's explanations.   I understand that Marissa is probably just wired that way -- Marissa's brain probably operates that way, where she thinks of 1000 things at one time and jumps around to different thoughts at rapid speed, analyzing every detail and verbalizing every thought she has.    Some people are just like that -- but the problem is when those people try to communicate with others who are not cut from the same cloth, it can be very off-putting.   People whose brains don't work in the same way, and who don't communicate in the same way, will just be confused and annoyed.  It will be exhausting for them to communicate with her.

@TVFan17.   I do hear what you are saying about her hard wiring. You are being kind to Marissa.   Her film work dates back to 1995 (she was 21) and she had probably been acting since a child but just not in productions big enough to make her IMDb page.   I think we are seeing self absorbed behavior.  She is high energy yes, but has never learned to listen and respond appropriately which is about respect. Harsh maybe but that is my guess.   I think she has been praised a lot for being bubbly.

If two people are wired like Marissa, how would either of them ever get a word in edgewise? ;) But I see your point in part—I process mentally, then speak when I’m ready, and it took me a long time to “get” that some people process verbally. Both types have something to learn... if you wait too long to speak up, sometimes you miss an opportunity to be heard at all; if you do all your processing verbally and never listen (as Wings notes), you can alienate and or/bore others because you’re monopolizing a conversation. Ross seems ok with her, though. They just interrupt each other and don’t care.

I’d enjoy a good conversationalist who’s a bit talky, maybe like Mark or Omarosa even. Maybe Brandi if she weren’t... Brandi. But Marissa can be rude—she interrupts, which I find SUPER rude, especially because she is already the one speaking 95% of the time.

I feel like Marissa was told about the "big girls being funny and bubbly" stereotype when she was younger and just ran it into the ground.

Yes.  I think so too.   She was trying to make up for whatever weaknesses or inadequacies she believed she had (or was told  she had by others) by being "on" all the time, and had to really have her personality to do the work for her at a young age... and it stuck.  Combine that with the fact that her mind seems to race a mile a minute with 1000 different thoughts she needs to express, and it can be an abrasive combination to the people on the receiving end of her personality.

Everyone is pretty patient with her, but I don't know how they'd be if this were a longer season.

Ross is trying to find out from Metta why he is voting against him, when they have a good relationship.

Omarosa is in the room too, and she is asking Metta why he keeps trying to leave her.  She says she is all by herself in the game.

Mark says that Metta is clearly hurting and wants to leave, but now his desire to leave is hurting other people's game play.

Now James is in on the chat too, and he said that he feels bad for Metta, as Oma is making him think he has a shot of leaving.  She is messing with his head.

I know I've already said that I'm a Metta fan, but I wonder if BB can bring on a therapist to help him out. He's bipolar and has anxiety issues (at least he mentioned anxiety when he tried to escape last time), so maybe being indoors all day with no real stimulation is getting to him. I want him to win, but if his mental health is at stake then I'm okay with him leaving. After Ross though, only to see how James, Marissa, and Mark look afterwards. Marissa will be lost without Ross and James and Mark will realize that they've made a terrible mistake.

They can't even go outside and have sun, so that can't be good for anyone there. Hopefully they bring someone to talk to him in DR, instead of just trying to convince him to leave each time.

or just get his wife on the phone!  i guess maybe the other HG's might think that wasn't fair and maybe he could keep it a secret. But they're already catered to quite a bit so I cant see that being out of the realm of possibilities.

Do they not get to go outside during the day? I usually only watch at night or BBAD. Sun would really do them (Metta) some good I think. Metta has bipolar? I did not know that if it's true.
