I wish I could see more of Tess’s dancing somewhere. She never posts dancing videos on Instagram so it’s hard to get a feel for her style. She was an LSU Golden Girl, which suggests she has good technique, and some of the still shots I’ve seen of her dancing suggest the same. But I want to see her in action! She is very pretty and probably has the best body on the team, especially for swimsuit.

She does have a perfect figure. Her swim photos were among my favorites last year.

I love everything about her.  She is exactly what K & J should be looking for this year.  I know most people on this forum think that the girls need to be a "perfect" dancer.  I don't think 99% of the people watching the game know or  care if they are perfect dancers.  They like to watch them dance but also like to see their personality and they like to see a beautiful face and body.  

K & J need to look for girls with morals and values to keep up the American Sweetheart image  I also like when they pick girls with an education.  .

I like Tess. That's my daughter's name lol. Seriously, she's pretty and tall. She has gorgeous hair. I think she could be a 5 year girl. She's one that I feel like will come out of the woodwork this year as a standout.

I also think Christina will be like Kelsey. She seems to do fine, and I think a year on the team helped her improve. I actually think savannah would get cut over Christina. The rest of the one years seem okay. Rachel is beautiful. She is NOT thick or muffin top. She has hips, and you can't fix that. Those are bones.

I really hope Robin comes back. I love her. It seems like Kelsey isn't. Bess, Simone (or was it Selina), and Keyra were injured so that might factor into their decision.

I could have sworn Keyra NOT Khalyn was injured at one point. I was at something around Christmas at the star and didn't see her. Yes, I can tell them apart.

True, but they're two black girls with "K" names. I don't think Tess and Bess look alike, but they're both white brunettes with rhyming names. I can't keep Lexie and Alexis apart either, and one is blond and the other brown haired, because of their names. It was worse when there was an Alexandra, too.

Since there is no thread for show suggestions and we know there will be a season 13,  I will put my suggestion here. This year since I know they film this, please can they include announcing second group leaders on the show. They never have shown that on the segment where they announce GLs,  K and J have mentioned a couple times "keep and eye on your first and second leaders for tags" but unless you follow social media no one would know who they are. That's all.

What do group leaders have to do with TCCs making the team? The show is about the audition and training camp journey for girls not yet on the team. It’s not hard to find the group leader info on social media once they’re announced.

Well then they shouldnt show the GL announcement either, or who's point etc. but i don't agree with this-vets are very much trying to make the team too and last season proved that vets aren't safe either.

We've seen group leaders be called into the office to talk about how a girl is perceived (Emma talking about one of her TCC is the only one I can remember, though I think there were two that episode), we've seen group leaders pulled in with TCC to help them with something specific (like helping Kaime get caught up) and, among other things, Group Leaders are the ones who are likely to know the dances the best so they're the ones who clean and polish things in their groups, likely run small rehearsals with just their group, help maintain order when Kelli, Judy or both aren't there, etc. so it's good to see who they are.  Besides, veterans aren't safe until the team is announced (see Kaitlyn L, Chelsea and Holly off the top of my head) and sometimes not even then, depending on the infraction or the choice made.

Amy Reese was cut in Season 5, but the scene was not shown. I remembered Judy saying they made history that year because all the vets who were trying out again made it back to TC. And lets not forget Erica from last season. I know a lot of us have tried but still...

I do not mind seeing the group leaders being announced because they do play a role in helping Judy, Kelli, and Charlotte decide who will or will not make the team. The scenes I do not care for is when a vet and a TC Candidate meet up for coffee to discuss the fears and pressures of trying to prove to Kelli and Judy the TC Candidate deserves to be on the squad. They seem fake and phony to me with bad acting added in. I would rather see the group leader and assistant group leaders working with their groups than seeing Melissa the Mentor scenes. I would also like to see other former DCCs come in to watch or make suggestions than Tina and Cassie. The only reason why they are there because Tina is Kelli's best friend and Cassie is Judy's daughter. I would rather see the former DCCs or the other dance instructors who help teach the DCC Prep Classes come in and work with the girls.

I never thought of the program as only Making It On to The Team. With all of the time showing Jay's workouts, and team building outings to camp or bowling or skydiving etc, I always thought it's about making the whole team ~Strangers from all over the place dancing as One Singular Sensation...so I completely agree that we would love seeing the extra dance sessions, the second leaders, the whole schmeer.  

Pandering to the Who Got Cut at Finals, and who has drama off the dance floor, is not world class, but certainly appears to be world marketing savvy. For my money, the calendar, the double/triple standards and bullshit America Sweetheart Spin pap is all down there with soft porn pimping more often than not. Was it inevitable with social media leaking pertinent facts, or was it CMT producing? I barely care, and plead for focus on the athleticism and professionalism that had seemed the gold standard of the past. But I'm a curmudgeon. Ymmv. :)

OK, I'm not a dancer and never was. But her facials are irritating, she looks bored, and to me, she looks exhausted about halfway through, like she's working way too hard. It's not effortless.

 

 

And for what it's worth, I love watching the group leaders being announced, I would also love to see 2nd group leaders, and I enjoy the scenes that show the veterans outside of practice, hanging out together and having fun. I enjoyed the former DCC's coming in and evaluating the rookies. And personally, I adore Tina Kalina, she is very funny and reminds me of my BFF. I would love to hang out with her and Kitty and people watch.

Wow..one and done? I never get the one year ladies. So Kelsey is not coming back? She is one of my favs....I know she was not the best dancer but she had that sexy thing going on, and she always popped. And Maggie? Noooooo, such a pretty dancer.

Thanks to those who have been posting prep class videos! While I've seen a few good dancers and pretty girls (none of them Victoria, BTW), I admit that I can't get thru nearly half of the videos, either because the dancing is sloppy and painful to watch or because I dislike the music or choreography. I have to laugh at myself a little when I find Judy-isms running through my head--like, oh, so clunky... But it's nice to get a glimpse of who might be auditioning! I know I'm repeating myself, but I really, really want the LSU Tiger Girl/Golden Girl (Katelyn??) to audition again. I think she would be an excellent DCC, in terms of dancing and performance quality, as an ambassador/spokeswoman, and as a team member. She just needs to lighten her hair a little bit, maybe a shaping trim, and soften her makeup. I thought she was really pretty in some of the LSU pics they showed and in her interview during her bio piece on the show, and she nailed the dancing. Let the DCC glam squad do its thing to soften her look and play up the sex appeal and I think she could be a fan favorite! With so many anticipated retirees, this is a good year to try out again. 

YES!! thanks to Neil and Rycroft, (and maybe some crap behind the scenes) she was completely derailed. (Katelyn) And there comes Brianna and several others that were clear messes. Makes one question a lot of the leadership and their ability to see true dancing talent.

Kalyssa is not a one and done vet. She did not finish out her rookie year. She has burn her bridge of coming back since certain pictures, and the rumors of her hitting on older men and drinking have come out.

I hope Brianna does not try out again. I did not see her appeal at all.

Thanks for the info. I have been trying to find out what happened. Do you know if she was cut? of cleared out just before the axe? What is it with these professional dancers (would that be correct to say?) But to accept a job, take a spot that many would love to have and then treat the job and your team with disrespect...I think last years tally was two cuts, the one NE Patriots forget her name had family issues, then Kalyssa? They need to have alternates, instead of having to pull from All stars, as All stars don't dance during the game, just the intro.

agree with above. Knowing why Kalyssa left solidifies for me she was there for self interests only. Other's picked up on fact she was not there for long haul (I am just recalling some posts) Such focus on male appeal seems to end up with girls who are very self involved. Holly comes to mind.

Milan also left the squad in November.

It sounds like Brianna will be trying out again.  She will be in Texas later this month and plans to take Jennifer's class.  

I hope Taryn doesn't try out again.  She hardly made it into TC and they only kept her as long as they did for the TV show.  They have to keep someone to the end.  K & J knew they were not going to keep her because they didn't like her looks.  I hear she has put on weight but hopefully she can get it off in the next month if she does try  out.   I wish they wouldn't keep the girls in TC so long because then they don't get a chance to  try out for another team.

From what I remember, Brianna was there just because she was pretty and that was the only reason they didn't cut her until they absolutely had to.  She was one of the girls who was called in multiple times before her cut, but there were other girls who could have been cut, and were, before she was the worst in the room.  I think they learned from Morgan (at least I hope they did) not to keep girls who were major dance risks just because of looks.  Have there been any other girls who were big dance risks since then?  I can't think of any since except maybe Breelan and Amy S.  If Brianna hasn't improved since last year, they shouldn't bring her to Training Camp, but they probably will.

The one I wish would come back (but likely isn't) is Courtney Johnson.  Even Kelli said she would love to see Courtney come back, but it may be that that ship sailed when Courtney was cut from Training Camp.  Some girls move on to another dream when one doesn't work out.

I agree Taryn would be a one and done not only because she would need to improve but because she is in her early 30s.  Also she can't change her looks.  The rookies this year are all about the same age and it seems like they have really bonded.  I don't know how if Taryn in here 30s and Victoria being 18 years old (if she makes it) would ever bond.  Doesn't seem like Taryn bonded with the girls that much during TC.
