I feel like it was also unnecessary here? They didn't have to say she had an unrequited thing for him. Could've simply made it about her wanting revenge against those who defeated the Earth-Xers in general.

Snart stated that she wasnt pleased with those who killed Oliver but at least throughout the episode she was talking about the Regime and them destroying Earth-X as she had known it. But yeah they could've left that out all together.

If they wanted tp make the fight personal, they could've just as easily said that she had been together with Earth X Tommy. But they chose to make her look pine after Oliver, again.

For clarification, SirenX didn’t open a breach but got to Cisco’s just as it was closing, stopped it before it finished, and used her cry to widen the opening. If she could breach then there was nothing stopping her from coming to E1, since she she was out for revenge and knew those who defeated Dark Arrow came from here. Now, why she ended up at a different place than Barry, Cisco, and Leo even though she went through the same breach mere moments later is a question I don’t have an answer to.

To answer the last part, I'm pretty sure Barry just sped Cisco and Leo through the spot that Siren X popped out of. I'm pretty sure I saw his streak just as Siren X popped out of the breach. Why they randomly breached to an abandoned building, though, is beyond me.

I will say that, despite Siren X looking no different than Black Siren (I THINK she might have had one tiny change to her costume), the new effects of her power was kind of cool. It's better than her only power being to scream at people. The sonic effect was actually different.

Also, THANK YOU FLASH WRITERS FOR MAKING IT CANON THAT SARA WAS THE FIRST BLACK CANARY.

Was she killed off or sent back?

She was definitely not killed. The last time we saw her, Barry knocked her out and we all know Barry has an issue with killing people, even when they deserve it. But she was either sent back (though we only saw Leo go back alone at the end), or they threw her in Iron Heights. I hope Barry actually sent her back to her Earth. I don't think he should be dealing with a Nazi in a future episode.

Nope - I am sure evil Earth 2 BS will survive - after all Sarah is coming to Arrow to bond with her over Quentin's death.

Wait, what? Quentin's death?

I think it's pretty funny that they introduced Earth-X BS 5 months after the crossover, in a filler episode for different show.

Seriously. If this isn't evidence that Laurel/KC is dunzo on Arrow I don't know what is.

It hasn’t been confirmed Quentin is dying. It’s just a popular theory right now.

Yes.  I will be 100% shocked if he does not die (I'm not sure why else they would bother bringing Sara over for the finale) but yes, it's just a theory.  :)

On that note - I've been watching the spoiler thread, and has Caity Lotz filmed at all yet for the finale?  Her appearance must not be too large after all.  Kinda weird after the fuss made about her appearing.

Caity just flew in to Van today. I think there's 1-2 days of filming left.

LEO was EVERYTHING about last night's Flash! And I also did a fist pump when Sara got the kudows she deserves about being the FIRST BLACK CANARY.

Everything else was stupid. I got Original 90210 vibes watching Barry suffer and grieve over that asshat Ralph's "death." Like when Brandon was grieving as if that asshole journalist person douche who chose Brandon as his running mate was splatted to the pavement in a car accident. Brandon was acting as if he had been his best friend, when NO. That would be Steve and Dylan. Same here with Barry. I don't CARE that he knew Ralph for years; he wasn't his friend.

I'll take as much of Wentworth Miller as I can--even if it's to shake Barry out of guilt. Because I ADORE Miller. And even if I don't see him back again soon in this 'verse, Prison Break is coming back, BABY! So YUMMILICIOUS Michael Scofield will be back, along with Linc!

Here is Robert Downey Jr.'s emotional speech from the Avengers: Infinity War premiere
ANTHONY BREZNICAN April 24, 2018
http://ew.com/movies/2018/04/24/robert-downey-jr-speech-avengers-infinity-war-premiere/

Quote

Downey started by paying tribute to the groundbreaking way Marvel Studios, led by president Kevin Feige, has crafted 19 (so far) interlocked movies. “This is a miracle,” Downey told the crowd. “And if any one of us took credit it would be heresy. It would be blasphemy.”

Then he curtsied. “Screw it … you’re welcome!
*  *  *
“I want to talk about the past, present, and future,” Downey said. “The past for me was 30 years of dependency, depravity, and despair …. otherwise known as ‘An Actor Prepares!’”

After another round of cheers, he went on: “The present is this moment of glory for all of us. And the future…? That is always uncertain. But looking at these friends behind me,” he said, looking back at the faces of his fellow actors, “it seems like things might brighten up after all.”

He called the Marvel Cinematic Universe “an isolated incident” in the history of Hollywood. “None of us are in competition with each other. We are all competing for each other — and for you.”
*  *  *
“If you play a superhero in one of these movies, and it works, you become a big star!” Downey said. “And it … is … meaningless.”

“Unless,” he added, “you use that to achieve something higher. You have to take direction from peers, and your family, and occasionally even an actual director.”

Downey said directing a Marvel movie is “extremely dangerous.” “It’s like a crucible. You either come out steel or dust.”

Then he jabbed the MCU for a lack of diversity behind the camera before praising it for finally beginning to change. Downey singled out filmmaking duo Anna Bowden and Ryan Fleck, who are currently directing Brie Larson in Captain Marvel, which debuts next March, the first MCU film headlined by a female hero.

“Now at least half a directing team is female,” Downey said, before calling for more women behind the camera. “Making these movies is so taxing that it is clearly a woman’s job. It’s essentially gestation. But we don’t know how to do that,” he said, waving awkwardly toward other men on stage.

“Wakanda rules the day and rightfully so,” he added, praising Black Panther for bringing the historic first black superhero to the screen in a phenomenon that has earned $1.3 billion worldwide (so far.)

“I can do that as an honorary black man: Tropic Thunder, 2008!” he joked, referencing his role in that Hollywood satire as a pretentious white actor who thinks he can play an African-American soldier in a war film.

When the laughter quieted, Downey hung on the microphone like a rock star and gestured to his costars, suggesting it was time to open the door even further. “This is the MCU, right in front of you,” he said. “It’s all about fighting for equality. The whole idea is to make space for others to succeed, and exceed our expectations.”

The theater got even quieter. “[The movies] are inviting us to surrender and love and be of service,” Downey said. “They are metaphors for how our world should be — or could be one day, if we fight for it.”

He looked down at his notecards again. “My writing is getting more sketchy,” he said, before launching into praise for Gwyneth Paltrow, his costar in the original Iron Man who reprises her role as Pepper Potts in Infinity War. Downey called her “the very first First Lady of Marvel, and now there are many.”

He also shouted out to Jon Favreau, director of that original film and its sequel. “When they say the man who started it all, that is you, Jon. You brought it to life,” Downey said, after finding The Lion King and The Jungle Book director in the audience.
*  *  *
Then he brandished the joke ego again, more bulletproof than Iron Man’s armor.

“I think this might be the greatest speech ever written!”

More laughter. “Or maybe I’m just emo and exhausted.”

The smile widened, and he hung his head before handing off the mic.

How much has the Flash dropped from last season? It looks now they are in the 0.6/0.7 range.

I'd say it's dropped a bit. The Flash has never gone below 2 million viewers and it hasn't gone below a 0.8 in the demo before this season, and especially in the last few episodes. Though all The CW shows have been dropping, so it could be that people aren't watching live on the network.

My brother and I have a few more episodes of AOS to go but it will forever be one of my more favorite series. We just watched Inside Voices and when Simmons asked Deke the names(?) of his grandparents and he only remembered Nana and Bobo. We looked at each other smiling and my brother screamed out, “We are related to FitzSimmons!”

Obviously that was the names of our maternal grandparents.

THE FLASH
PRE-FINALE: Team Flash thus far has “come up short trying to stop The Thinker,” notes EP Todd Helbing. “But after losing Ralph, they will do whatever they can to stop him.” That includes enlisting Gypsy (on May 1), the villainous Amunet (May 8) and Arrow‘s Diggle (May 15) to lend a hand. Also during this stretch, a despondent Harry gets a pep talk from The Council of Harrisons (aka “an emo version of The Council of Wells”), while Caitlin will endeavor to reclaim her chill. “At the end of the season, everybody will sort of understand what happened to Killer Frost,” says Helbing, “and if there is a possibility to get her back.”

SEASON FINALE (MAY 22): Echoing this season’s theme, the finale’s “We Are the Flash” title means “Barry doesn’t have to carry the burden of this challenge on his own. It’s really a group effort.” As for the showdown itself — which Helbing describes as “Inception-like” — “The way they attack The Thinker is totally different from anything we’ve seen before in a finale.” Oh, and remember the Speed Force-fluent waitress first spied at the WestAllen wedding, and multiple times since? “Everyone will get an answer to who exactly The Mystery Girl is, and how she plays into not only this season but next season.”

SUPERGIRL
PRE-FINALE: In “Of Two Minds” (airing April 30), Kara and Imra clash over how to deal with the third Worldkiller aka Pestilence, Alex flirts with death, and Lena’s efforts to cure Sam raise big questions — and in the episode “Trinity” (May 7), lead to explosive reveals. Because in addition to her work with Sam, “Lena is harboring some other secrets that Supergirl is not happy about, [and] that is the catalyst for a major rift,” says showrunner Jessica Queller.

In “Shelter From the Storm” (May 14), Supergirl, Alex, Sam’s mom and Lena all take action when Reign locks in on a new target, while Mon-El wrestles with a difficult decision. Then closing out sweeps is “The Fanatical” (May 21), in which the heroes realize that there is a specific item that can help them in their quest to defeat the Worldkillers. In seeking out said solution, “There are some fascinating and fun road stops,” Chris Wood teases, adding: “Some seeds that were planted earlier in the year come back into play, which is great.”

'The Flash' EP Todd Helbing on Ralph's Demise: 'You Gotta Stick with the Plan'
Damian Holbrook April 24, 2018 1:30 pm
https://www.tvinsider.com/684116/the-flash-season-4-ralph-death-explained/

Quote

Is Ralph dead dead?
Ralph's... he's gone. Look, the journey that we wanted to take Barry on was very much [this]. He felt responsible for this guy and he brought him into the team. And even when he was in jail, the team was helping Ralph become a hero. And then Barry trains him and it has this impact on him that changes his sort of philosophy on how to stop villains moving forward — particularly the Thinker. And like I was talking about with Caitlin, it's very much a matter of Barry shouldering these problems himself in all the seasons up to this point.

This season has been like, 'I can't do this all the time by myself.' Nor should he have to! He has Vibe, he has Killer Frost, he has Iris and Joe and the super smart Harry Wells. So he has other people he can rely on and they're a team. But Barry needed to have this big loss in order for him to fully come around to 'We can do this together, we can try to stop DeVoe together.'

Will this get Barry out of that headspace of thinking he has to do it all by himself going forward?
Yeah, absolutely. Last season in the finale, he made the decision by himself to save Central City and the world by going into the Speed Force. He doesn't make decisions like that anymore. He consults with the team, he needs everybody on board and that's how they act moving forward.

Will DeVoe stay in Ralph's body? Because that will bring a new emotional level to the battle they'll have to do.
Oh yeah. As you saw in episode 18, that was all part of DeVoe's plan. Ralph Dibny's body is the only one that can sustain his mind. So yeah, he needed that body and like he said, it had an ancillary benefit. He could fully return to form. So this whole thing that you saw with his wife Marlize (Kim Engelbrecht), you know, he was using these drugs to keep her in love with him because he knew how strange that was gonna be with him inhabiting other bodies. Now the two of them are back, but as you noted, the emotional component of DeVoe has become less and less and less. That is really the big challenge on the DeVoe side... Marlize realizing that her husband is pretty much gone to her forever.

So for the most part, we've probably seen the end of Hartley.
Yes. There's one little thing that DeVoe does to taunt Barry, but that's all I'll say. And you know, Hartley Sawyer is so amazing, and you know ... But it's like, you gotta stick with the plan. This was something that we plotted out a year ago [and] we explained Hartley exactly what his journey was gonna be.

And how is the rest of the team affected by it? This is really the first time they've lost a teammate.
That's exactly what we wanted to [play]. They all feel different levels of responsibility — Barry the most because he's trained somebody who died on his watch. It's all about how you overcome a loss like that, how do you let that fuel you, and also, what Barry learns is he's not the only one dealing with that grief. You know, there's a future episode where it all comes to a head.

I think sometimes on network shows there's the sort of instinct to wrap these things up, but we made a conscious effort to spend multiple episodes [dealing with this]. It factors into the rest of the season. It's not just, oh, he dies in Episode 18 and that's the story and then they move on. It takes a while.

What can you tease of Diggle’s appearance on The Flash? — Scott
You are going to see two very different sides of Diggle during the hour, as he plays into DeVoe’s upcoming plans for Fallout, who we know is in A.R.G.U.S. custody. “You get to see Diggle come in and tear through some A.R.G.U.S agents,” David Ramsey teases. “It’s always fun to go to Flash because Flash is all light.” Speaking of, there was a rather hilarious scene I witnessed on set when Diggle arrives in the Cortex. Let’s just say trashcans are involved.

Any scoop on Supergirl’s showdown with the Worldkillers on Supergirl? — Jeanie
Would you believe me if I told you that you’re actually going to see it sooner rather than later? Well, you are. Here’s what EP Robert Rovner says about the showdown: “It’s going to be epic. What’s great about this season is that what makes it powerful and exciting is that it’s really emotionally charged. Because the final solution is about saving your friend, it focuses on how they’ll accomplish that.”

The Flash Season 4: David Ramsey Likes Visiting the “Light” Series
Posted by Dan Wickline April 26, 2018
https://www.bleedingcool.com/2018/04/26/flash-season-4-david-ramsey-light-series/

Quote

We don’t know the title of the episode yet or even have a synopsis, but the penultimate episode of The Flash season 4 will air May 15th and will feature an appearance by David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle on Arrow. But things aren’t quite what they seem… and any more would be spoilers, so leave if you don’t want to know.
*  *  *
It seems we’ll get to see Ramsey play to versions of himself, and no, we’re not talking about an alternate Earth doppelgänger… though we haven’t seen one of Diggle yet, have we? This involves DeVoe (Neil Sandilands) using the Elongated Man’s powers to shift his body to look like Diggle and then infiltrate an A.R.G.U.S. facility to get Fallout (Ryan Alexander McDonald).
*  *  *
So, Ramsey gets to play a bad guy for a minute. That makes him yet another actor to portray The Thinker this season.
