Couple vids from London.

These ladies are supposedly the top DCCs on the team. Are y'all buying what they're selling? Just curious because a lot people had not so great comments about the baseball performance this past summer.

I think the performances are okay.  I could see some girls were off.  Maybe because they are mostly in a different formation/place in the formation because it is not the normal show group or Group 1 or whatever formation.  I have seen cheerleaders at games in two other cities and those cheerleader definitely aren't better than DCC.

My responses keep getting erased....grr

I agree about the dance moves and music. But, was just happy they didnt dance to "I'm A Freak" (hate that song). Here is another short clip of the girls performing Loud. Not sure when Kelsey became such a strong dancer but she definitely has my attention now!

Here is a video Rookie Erica posted of herself at another dance class:  http://instagram.com/p/vFO-C4ofSZ/?modal=true  I wish I could dance like that!

She is an awesome dancer, so pretty, and seems very nice - DCC is lucky to have her! Imagine if those jerks had cut her for her hair not being full or curly enough - LOL!!!  Sometimes the decisions are so arbitrary.

I don't even know who Pitbull is but unfortunately I'm sitting through his performance during the Cowboys/Eagles game. I know there were some questions about whether any of the girls would be dancing back up. Looks like the whole team is on stage along with a slew of skanktastic back up dancers.

What was surprising was the kickline as clearly the middle section was behind once they started showing it from the left side just before the jump.

Was this during a period of less than great talent? In addition to the kickline looking bad (it seemed like a lot of people were lunging back and forth) the rest of the choreography looked very simple. Like middle school pom squad simple.

Last night I happened to watch the MTT5 episode where Nicole removes herself from the kick line so she didn't get hurt. Then, I see this video. Weird coincidence. The jump split gives me anxiety. Ive seen videos where the girls look a hair away from blowing out a knee.

I'm not sure if we are allowed to talk about this here, but that's an article about the Buffalo Jills and their lawsuit against the Bills organization. I know cheerleading is very sexualized, but that organization seems to have taken it up a number of notches. The whole bidding the girls to ride in golf carts thins where they have to sit on laps sounds disgusting. I don't think the DCC have to go through stuff like that, but it sounds insane.

Thanks for the Jills information. The professional cheer leading subculture is fascinating to me. I do think its odd that DCC can't opt-out of the calendar shoot ( I know I would for future careers purposes) but thats hardly anything compared to what the Jills are claiming.

Unrelated, but I didnt know Sam Finglass was junior DCC for 9 years (at the time of the video).... I wonder if she and Calia know each other?

Wow.  Could the NFL be in anymore of a mess?  Disturbing is the not the only word that comes to mind when reading that article.

The Jills were treated like escorts on their appearances.  The Times reporter was not having it either, basically calling out the Bills and Goodell.

And we criticize Kelli and Judy!

If nothing else, those claims reek of a hostile work environment.  Being grabbed by strange men? Having to ride around on strange men's laps? Doing backflips in a bikini?  Seems to me the DCC takes that very seriously, as they always have burly security guards standing by to apprehend unruly fans, particularly when the girls are on the touchdown decks within easy reach of a determined drunk.  I would think the Bills would want to take that seriously as well, as a sexual harassment lawsuit is bad news.

If I were auditioning for NFL cheerleading squads, the Buffalo Jills would be practically dead last on my list, especially after reading that.  It sounds like the management sees these girls as high priced "escorts".  Are there any reports of girls being pressured to do more than what's listed here?  If there are, I wouldn't be surprised if the management pressured/ordered it, but did so in a way that they could legally wash their hands of it and put all the blame on the girls for "going beyond boundaries and standards set by the team and their coaches."  I'm wondering if any money is changing hands and, if so, how much goes to the girl or the squad, if any.  I really doubt anyone sees any money beyond whatever appearance fees they get (if there are appearance fees).

Sadly, it sounds like the squad was disbanded at least for the season and that some girls were upset with those filing the lawsuit.  What was it they were upset with?  They might have had a different experience than these five, but, if so, what were the differences?  Was it just a select group of girls this was done to or was it the entire squad?  Were some girls singled out as favorites and thus didn't have to do certain things?  It sounds like there are three groups here: one that file the lawsuit, one that is angry with the first group and the rest are just keeping their mouths shut.  If the squad is allowed to reform after this season, I wonder how many girls will come back and how many new girls will come (and put up with whatever happens) just to say that she's an NFL cheerleader.

I think that the NFL's general treatment and sexualization of its cheerleaders is related to the league's frequent and problematic dealings with players and coaches around issues of sexual assault and domestic violence. It all signals various ways in which the NFL and society at large does and does not value women.  I believe that Kelly would not stand for DCC being harassed by fans or the league in ways that other pro cheer squads might deal with, though I do imagine that, as a general practice, DCC and other cheerleaders have to develop politely evasive strategies for creepy fans with wandering hands and eyeballs.  I agree that the presence of security guards suggests that Kelly and the organization take protecting the girls, their safety, and their dignity seriously.  Kelly's concern about men trying to grab Danielle if she took a job as a bar tender back in season 7--and her response when Danielle assured her she would not let that behavior fly--also makes me think she would and has attempted to thwart the culture of sexual harassment and general male creepiness when it comes to younger women and girls under her charge.

Same as last year, Show Group hasn't performed on stage during a USO Tour for two years.

Interesting. Now I don't get why Nicole couldn't attend (yes I know she is not on SG but there were no show group performances). Oh well, too late now! Kelli made an exception for London, guess that was enough.

Did anyone see the swimsuit special?
